I left Canada to have a better life overseas some years ago, and I'm very happy with my life now. I grew up in Toronto and moved to Vancouver with my family later on, but neither places had weather conditions we wanted. Toronto winter is too long and Vancouver has depressing non-stop rain for six months. On top of all that, everything there got way too expensive to live and everything is too slow... Did I mention endless road constructions everywhere since forever ago? Well, some of us tried very hard to stay but sometimes migrating can help. \nCanada is definitely a beautiful country, but beauty isn't what makes our lives happy in reality.

Moved to Canada in 1988.\nLove this Country. ??\nHappy and proud to be here.\nHallo from Toronto

I love Canadians, I went there in 2018 for a friends wedding and you guys are beautiful!\n\nI mean I’m from australia ?? and the big difference is the US is overly Agro when my family went over the border to up state New York I got verbally abused by a US border guard as I was parking my car and asked in nasty way, I had to put him in his place most of the time. \n\nAll in all I love Toronto and the small town of Renfrew where the wedding was held.

wow amazing so true this made me sad too ? I came to Canada when I was 9 years old with my father and sister so in some ways I was young so it was easy in a way for me, but as I got older it hit me being Spanish dominican ?? the culture different it's quite obvious, you're absolutely right people stick together in their own Community or culture, and is kind of hard to make friends, I know Spanish people here in Canada Toronto but they seem to stick to themselves and you were to think because I'm also Spanish that would have been easy for me to talk to them, but is not so sadly, without offending anyone Canada is not for anyone, you gotta be strong, Brave, quick, and smart. Credit matter alot here in Canada or you're nobody, having reference matters a lot or you cannot get anything done, the level of education matter alot here in Canada, and many more.. I can go on but there pros and cons like every country, but in all honesty I don't see myself living here forever I'm planning to move.

Well put . I came to Canada at the age of 12 in 1992. After graduating in 2002 I was unable find a job in my field even entry level. I worked in cx service for another 5 years until i paid the little student loan I owed 15K. Then I made a way to move to USA. Took me 3 weeks to land a job in my field. I also got my masters. After 3 years in the USA came back to over priced Toronto to get married. Even as a nurse Toronto is unaffordable. Bills and more bills. Goal is to return to my native country, I already bought lands and is preparing. I got kids but I don't want them to stress. Education is everywhere.

Great video! I would like to share my personal experience so far: I came to Toronto in 2020 for a 2-year college program, met great friends that became family (flew back to my home country during the pandemic, graduated, and came back 3 months ago) and applied for my PGWP. However, I am planning on moving back home next year. Canada is a vast country, with friendly people in its majority, a rigorous taxation system, but what makes me mad is that some Youtubers portray that PR is the ultimate goal (which is not always granted) and even promote this toxic attitude that if you don't aspire to PR then you are wasting your time. Immigration is not for everyone, sometimes I think to myself if I should've invested that college money ($8k per semester) to buy a piece of land that over time will be more profitable. It leaves me with a bittersweet taste, but I will be forever thankful to Canada for the friendships that I made here and the experiences that I had.

Lived there for 14 years on and off mostly bcoz had no choice to go back but all the time I was only hoping, praying when time will come that I will leave this country finally I’m out , thank God , truth is that there is too much hype about Canada in other parts of the world particularly in Asian countries , immigrating to other European countries is difficult now , the picture of Canada is being portrayed as the best place , it is a nice country to some extent but living comfortably is extremely hard , way too expensive , everything from groceries to education , it is completely out of reach for a new comer to buy a house in and around Toronto , way too cold , brutal winters , which are very depressing , problem is this country is mostly uninhabitable due to extreme cold weather , everyone is nestled in Toronto and it’s surroundings , very limited opportunities. \nCold Canadian behavior, I always used to call it Cold Hell. I can go on and on ….I’m happy I’m out from there. You can just struggle to survive , you can’t have future in Canada.

I totally agree with your video.\n\nI am European, and l have been living in Canada for 7 years, including 4 years in Toronto 2 years Ottawa and now In Montreal.\n\nWhen l arrived in Canada l started from the scratch in order to get Canadian experiences and improve my Eng, undestanble and l accept as new comer.\n\nI come back to college in order to get Canadian Educatiom post graduate program. \n\nI got my Canadian Citizenship, l am improving my French, as we know its important to be Bilingual in Canada.\n\nSo far after all this steps l didn't find my perfect and dreaming job, harder to find well paid job and stable.\n\nSometime l feel l loose my time here. I learned the well paid job need strong connection, no well paid or low income for new comers. That why Canadian Gov. need new immigrant .\n\nCanada its not country for opportunity for every one, and it is not well being city, cost the life its extremely hight, renting in Toronto and Vancouver are impossible to manage specially like me single, social life a little boring and trashy compare Europe.\nHigh cost to travel domestically and internationally are crazy, compare euro and USA, so sometime l feel stocks here.\n\nProbaly someone after read my comments, they think why you here? Come back you home country? \n\nWell l could but l have to start again from scratch in my country, l say l am in the limbo now.....

They steal your youth and money at the early stages, unless you are wealthy. Then the weather and the people will slowly drain you. Especially in Toronto. And I was born there lol. I finally escaped to China, but sadly had to return due to COVID. Next I will return to my parents home country Ireland. Then I can finally relax and not feel as scammed by the set up here. Where do all the taxes go? The infrastructure is basic and ugly, the metro is deplorable. Where does all our money go?

Technology in Toronto is so outdated and the government takes forever to process anything. Renting and prices for homes are so expensive compared to wage. It doesn't help that some people are racist even though it's a multicultural country.

Hi! I am about to graduate with a BA in Creative Writing (and a minor in Social Analysis). I also have sales experience. I was wondering if you would know of any recruitment sites/job availabilities looking for content creation/writing/editing in Toronto, ON? As I don't have industry experience since I haven't graduated yet, I was wondering if maybe you also knew of companies that may take in entry-level positions with foreign workers?

Hard to believe that an Immigrant, with no Canadian Qualification and no Canadian Experience, is offered a position of VP in a reputable company. I was there in Toronto for 5 years as Canadian Citizen. I, as a graduate of bio-medical sciences with 37 years research experience, 31 research publications, applied in various institutions, never got reply from any for any job I applied for.

It's so funny for international media, Canada - Toronto .. there is so much more to Canada then just Toronto ! .. Ohh yeah you will say Montreal but still Toronto and Montreal is only 10% Canada ... If you want to see real beautiful Canada go west to places like Vancouver, Banff Calgary,. Whistler .. beautiful serene mountains and wilderness or even far east to the Maritimes .. Toronto is nothing but a flat concrete jungle !!!!

He should break up the hourly wage and how much we pay taxes in canada and what's the take home. And whats the monthly bill apartment bill, grocery, cell phone, internet, car insurance and whats left behind.. living in good neighborhood means higher apartment monthly rents ... u wud have no option but to send ur wife to work. Which wid make other things complicated. Both of them come home tired and upset and life is too fast to just survive. Having the house in Toronto and neighborhood is soo exoensive and u have to keep paying till u die. \nOfcourse ppl work themselves because it's too expensive they can't afford to pay for repair. Just the house and road beauty is not enough. Happiness doesnot come cheap. U pay the price.

Maine Canada me eight years bitaye hain maine yahan padhai ki or phir software engineering ki job kr raha hoon canada ke karib har hisse me ghum chuka hun main toronto me rahta hu aur agar aap toronto gaye hain to apko malum hoga ki toronto kitna accha sheher hai wahan ke log kafi friendly aur liberal hain canada twenty first century ka hub hai. Shehero ki chamak itna khulapan yeh sab darasal second world war ke baad shuru hua apko malum hoga ki canada, ek tarah se british empire hai aur australia aur newzealand bhi hai inke queen elizabeth second hain. 1950 ke baad phir 1990 se in logo ne liberal way apnaya aur immigrant bulane lage aur dhire dhire canada ek immigrant hub bana, aaj ki date me yahan ki shayad 30 percent population immigrant hai main confirm nhi hoon abhi toh census chal rhe hain dekhte hain kya statics hai.\nMaine jo pichle eight years se dekha hai ki yahan ki yahan immigrant ke sath discrimination toh hota hi hai woh toh sabhi jaante hain lekin yahan ke jo angrez hai jo local hain wo ab hum logo ko shak ki nazar se dekhte hain kuch kahte nhi par jab aap agal bagal rahte ho toh samajh toh aata hai yeh log samajhte hain ki immigrants ya videshi jo bahar se aye hain unki population canada me majority ban jayegi aur gore angrez minority ban jayenge aur videshi inke desh par kabza kar lenge inhe yeh lagta hai aur jo majority minority effect hota hai jisme bahri log ya minorities ki population badh jati hai aur low birth rate ke karan majority population minority ban jati hai aur badi baat hai ki white supramacist groups jo hai woh local angrez logo ko yahi chiz samjha rahe hain ki videshi canada me majority ban jayenge aur gore angrez minority ban jayenge aur videshi inke desh par kabja kar lenge inhe yeh samjhaya jaa raha hai aur apni baat proof karne ke liye yeh log census dikhate hain dekhiye baat hai ki yahan canada me immigrant population toh badhi hai jinse yeh log jamkar fayeda uthate hain aur angrezo ki birth rate kam ho gayi hai ab kisi ne unki nasbandi toh ki nahi hai unki choice hai. Ab goverment bhi white supramacists ko indirectly support karti hai unhe nahi rokti white supramacist group ya militia kahen to jyaada sahi rahega ke liye fund ate hain inki funding hoti hai ab pichle kuch saalon se yeh log aggressive hote jaa rahe hai ab toh attacks shuru ho gaye murder kiya jaa rha hai. yeh puree canada ke yeh andar ke halat hain jo bahar se nahi dikhte ab yahan ka mahaul kharab ho raha hai aur koi bhi videshi main ya koi aur puri tarah safe nahi hai. Liberal canada ab radical banta ja raha hai. Maine yeh sab apni aankhon se dekha aur khud mehsus kiya hai.

He wasn't approved because he's not middle Eastern or Asian. That's not being racist it's based on facts and a big cause of the unemployment problem in Canada because Canada born citizens can't even get jobs at Walmart anymore and most of the Walmart employees barely speak English if they do speak the language at all. My local Walmart for example was 100% locals and students from the local college but a year and a half ago they laid off all but 6 locals who were managers and shift leaders and hired all immigrants who don't even live in the area. And skip the dish isn't any better all the drivers in my area actually live in Brampton and Toronto but delivery food 2-3 hours away from home and I'm pretty sure that's actually why covid keeps spreading.

I'm in love with Canada since I went there to study English in 2011. I've lived in Toronto about 6 months but I had to come back to Brazil because I didn't have enough money to stay. I can't spend a day without thinking about coming back, someday I will.\nCanada has my heart and soul.

My parents and my little sister moved 3 years ago in Quebec, I went there once to visit and it was actually a beautiful place to be. I'm french so we don't really have the same mindset BUT we get used to it. People are kinda nice and there is so much stuff to do ^^ I plan to go back visit them but also to visit Toronto and Vancouver. It'll be fun. I like your videos, it helps to learn more things about Canada and living there.

Hii..@kevin can you please suggest to me how to find a part-time job in Toronto. I applied for fall intake 2021 and i am very tensed about thi thing. Thank you

Great information! The only thing I would add is the cost of living. Our wages may seem high to people from other countries, even after taxes and deductions, but the cost of living in cities such as Vancouver and Toronto is very high while other cities may pay similar and be considerably cheaper leaving you width more disposable income. Of course, not all cities in Canada have the same to offer in terms of weather and amenities such as beaches.

Thanks al lot for your interesting explenations?\nI'm from Veneto, Northern Italy and I've been in Canada during Summer 2011 for a studying-holiday at Trinity College in Toronto. I fell in love with that city and the surrounding area and I am thinking to search job there to come and live there?\nWhat's the situation by you now with Covid-19?

Montreal is Canada's second largest city after Toronto and both cities are actually very similar. You do need French to survive but you can get away without it especially in downtown Montreal because most people are perfectly bilingual. Our metro (subway) is the third busiest subway in North America after Toronto and New York. The city itself is very vibrant and ethnically diverse. Unlike Vancouver or even Toronto, there are always activities to attend especially in the summer. Most of our music festivals tend to be free except for Osheaga which is the Canadian Coachella!
