The Pro leftwing government of Venezuela wanted to renegotiate it's oil contracts with the oil companies operating in Venezuela so that greater amount of revenue would go to the Venezuelan people to improve their living standards, invest social programs that would fight poverty . \n\nAll the oil companies aggred except Chevron who then lobbied the US government to put sanctions on Venezuela. \n\nSo the US government used the predominant power of the USD in the world financial market to put crippling sanctions on Venezuela to ruin and destroy their economy With the hope that the hardships and poverty inflicted on the Venezuelan people would push them to overthrow their government and replace it with a pro US Vassal guy in power. \n\nThe Venezuelan government was able to hold onto power using all sorts of sneaky schemes, but the Venezuelan people's living standards collapsed and poverty and despair flooded that country. \n\nNow their people are heading to the US to find refuge as an act of desperation.\n\nNow Americans are complaining about them heading to the US and forcefully trying to breach the US border.\n\nAs they say\n\nYou made your bed, now lie on it.. It bothers me that the Canadian government does not protect me from drug addicts , and also does not allow me to earn enough money in a manipulative way with the help of restrictions of the laws .

Not once have i lived off the government. I work my girl works. We’re having a kid. And things are getting really tight. Inflation is kicking our butts bills increased pay is the same. Were not married yet. We decided to try to seek some government help for at least food right. Shit is tough rn so if we can at least get some food we’ll be fine. We can’t get it technically my girl makes too much money. Why is that even a thing? You’re telling us no because we have too much money? Well we also have alot of bills. Regardless if we’re “middle class” that shit dont feel like it. Im broke af. I got 150 in the bank last me till the 15th. I deserve no help because i choose to help myself? That makes no sense. Paying taxes in a government that is working than the one that is not working isn't bad because in most African countries mostly Nigeria most people pay taxes without seeing the Results of what they pay

Why isn't the government working with the countries where the migrants are coming from? A treaty or an accord should be negotiated with Mexico (even though there's almost 1 million Americans residing in Mexico), Central America and northern South America and stop this mass migration to our border! This should have been done 10 years ago. The border towns will become, are, deportation zones, dysentery, human trafficking and dead immigrants, by the US, murders from infighting or consumption. Unfortunately, there must be some hidden agenda we're not privy to why the obvious deterrent isn't obvious! ?

Dont get why people are upset at Mexico if the US was the ones who said let asylum seekers come and it would be a human rights violation if they didn't and now you dont want them. People need to get a hold of the US government to solve the real problem.

I’m Mexican and I hate to see my people fleeing our country due to corruption . These people ain’t fleeing cause it’s good out there. Our culture is so rich but the Mexican government has to do better . The Mexican government is like that one adult everyone hates cause it’s so irresponsible.

High taxes, high energy prices, low wages, too much government, crony capitalism, real estate being treated as a speculative investment, too much immigration and nowhere to house them, regulations that deter entrepreneurship, poor health care, refusal to invest in our resource industry, refusal to invest in core infrastructure, declining civil liberties. Lot of these problems have been festering for a while, but things have really gone off a cliff since Trudeau was first elected. Even if you get some wise and saintly philosopher king to replace his corrupt arse, these problems will take years, probably decades to fix. I'm in my late 30s, and basically if I want to get out of this rut, I think I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and figure out a way to move to the States. I'm getting real tired of grinding my butt working and having nothing to show for it.

As a Canadian I can explain our problem: Our elected PM. He's absolutely gutted our energy sector and has made it clear the only economy that can function in Canada is Quebec & Ontario's economy, which accounts for government employees and white collar workers.\n\nThat's lead to Canadians moving to the US for work, home ownership, lower taxes, etc etc.\n\nCanadians that do stick around: Aren't interested in running a business, they tend to wind up working for the government for that stable income, and the only reliable way to get a good pension w/o managing your own finances.\n\nOur PM blames Canadians who own a house and a rental property rather than the thousands of foreigners who've been let in who buy 5+ properties to collect rental revenue.\n\nBusinesses won't invest in Canada anymore until there's certainty in our economy - And Trudeau ain't offering any guarantees besides wish washy threats to cut sectors.

I'm a Canadian living in the UK now. I love Canada with every piece of my heart but couldn't see myself ever being anything other than working poor there. I went to college but couldn't get a job in my field so had to take whatever minimum wage I could get, couldn't afford rent let alone buying a property so moved in with my parents and there isn't any support from the government for average citizens, only if you're an immigrant, disabled etc. I'm not against helping immigrants, disabled people or those that need it, just sucks that if you don't fall into certain categories it means you'll always struggle in your minimum wage job.\nLife in the UK isn't perfect but I was able to find a decent job here, the public transit is actually usable, phone plans and other bills/groceries tend to be cheaper and the working conditions are significantly better. Like I get 32 paid days off a year in my average job which is just wild to me! In Canada my sister who is a police officer only gets 15 days off a year and that's a lot compared to other people, like I never use to get any paid time off at my previous jobs. I miss parts of living in Canada but for the time being the UK is making my life a lot easier.

As a Canadian, let me tell you, most of these issues stem from our very poor choice in government ATM, for almost 10 years Justin Trudeau has been our prime minsiter & has done very little besides raising taxes too actually help low income Canadians, I'm on of them, i barely make $20k a year & i live with my parents, its tough & i don't think i'll ever own a house:(

I live in Canada. It feels dystopic to live here. Low wages, high rents, astronomically high real estate, and instead of building new cities and/or closing the borders, the government insists upon increasing the population while keeping the supply of housing fixed. It's a joke. We need strong-willed leadership in Canada to build new cities with wide roads and cheap housing.

Canada has excessive 80% foreign population growth, government supplied suicide and almost double debt to income.

We do not have a stable government and I would say we have one of the most corrupt evil socialist government's in the world all our freedoms are getting taken away government spending and debt is totally insane and for the average working Canadian you are lucky if you can survive payday to payday most Canadians are living on credit and slowly getting deeper and deeper into debt

Canada is the worse place to start a 100% privately funded business. \n\nOnly the government bed buddies businesses and manufacturers like Bombardier stays in the long run.

As a Canadian that works closely with the government, the other issues that the tax rate in Canada is very high. Even you get a good paying job or a profitable business, a significant portion of your paycheck/profits goes to the government. There is also a lot of bureaucratic and legislative hurdles to overcome and too little incentives when trying to start or develop a business. For example, to build a high density residential building, it takes around 1 - 2 years of planning and studies, then another year to get all the permits and government paperwork, then 2 years of construction. It takes around 5 years to build a new residential building. Canada's housing affordability problem is not just simply cause by people willing to buy property, it is also cause by a significant shortage of housing supply due to all these regulations and hurdles. If you can't find affordable housing and your income is also heavily tax, a lot Canadians will go south to the US where things are a lot more affordable.

I can assure you, as a long time Canadian, our banks are not well regulated, nor the strongest economy, nor have a stable democratic government, nor polite people, nor a good business environment, and DEFINITELY not one of the most uncorrupted countries, I find it rather comical you even said that.
