If you make $150,000 a year living in Ontario, Canada, you will be taxed $51,669.
\n
\nIf you earn the same amount in New York, USA, you will be taxed $47,513. That’s $4000 less taxes than a Canadian pays, but you will probably pay more than $4000 in private health care costs (or your employer will). At the present exchange rates you will likely still be ahead in the USA by a little bit but this changes over time.

Canada is probably more multicultural & accepting towards immigrants. Trust me, most people here in Australia are still nice & not racist (at least not in front of you, apart from some rarely seen low life loosers). Also, standards of living is slightly higher in Australia than Canada... So, more expensive.

Wait until we see if we shake the current tyrannical government we have here in Canada. As it is, the PM can lock you up and freeze your bank account if you say something he doesn’t like. Sounds simplistic and exaggerated but in essence it is true. Thankfully we have a champion for freedom PIERRE POILIEVRE so there is a ray of hope. If not for his success, I’d say don’t come. Many of us will be leaving if we are not able to regain freedom here.

I think it’s also important for them to say they don’t consider moving back or moving back in the near future if they want to naturalize as Canadians. Just in case one coconut head decides to take their words and see them as people that don’t want to be in Canada long term and frustrate their naturalization process

The final question.\nPeople who left Canada to get famous.

Someone from a developed nation who moves to a developing nation is always treated better than locals, however that is not the case for those that come from developing nations and settle in Canada . The reality of one person does not necessarily apply as a general rule for all. And honestly, Vancouver is not all Canada.

thanks for the update.\nplease ma, I have checked the website, almost all the employers are demanding for high school diploma.\nmy questions are, if I apply for that job, will my employer ask for my results over there? I mean do I need to go with my results to Canada?\n secondly, will my employer pay for all the cost of relocating to Canada?

You need to add Canada is run by a tyrant and the Canadian Charter of rights is being butchered. Laws being made and policed to appease 0.1% of the population.

As a Ghanaian, none of the things stated will change my mind of wanting to relocate to Canada.

I left Canada in 2019 for Uganda and couldn't be happier. I too was in that cycle of working to earn enough money, to pay my bills so that I could afford to keep working! \n\nWhen my parents were just married in 1968, they earned between them $14000. In one year, my Mom was able to save $10,000 because the expenses were so low. Then, they bought a house worth $26,000. Those days of working to save are almost gone unless you have a very in demand job.

Here in america ppl want to turn it into canada.\nDemocrats biden obama and on and on and on.\nThey have demonized us conservatives in the media .yet we are the ones that want to keep america great.\nIdiots keep voting for their leaders to destroy america.

So weird. Half of the people you spoke to who said they were going back are people who have appeared in your other videos. They are plants to promote your agenda. \nThis pandemic has been hard on everyone. Everywhere is experiencing the streets on their healthcare system. The entire world is experiencing unprecedented inflation.\nI am sorry that you have experienced homesickness, but I am disturbed by your change in posting content that disparages life in Canada.\nThis also seems to correspond with your gaining a Canadian passport????

Honest review. I lived in ontario, better say Toronto. Car insurance, rent, work life balance. The good thing is the vibe and some basic things you don't fight alot to attain, the place is vividly. Their economic policies suppress growth people struggle to beyong and you must be equipped with many relevant skills apart from degree. What gives you money in Canada is your own business, risk jobs, most importantly your money source is coming from somewhere and you just invest there in houses, etc. \nThe country is nice and alot of events in the summer, but when the winter comes is really tough and you feel limited if you don't drive, if don't know places to socialise. The minimum wage is very low until this day. In reality everyone has an individual journey, and every experience may be completely different dispite any barriers they may achieve and make their dream come true, but still it will be a very small number.

Boring? Try leaving your living room and visiting the second biggest country in the world? There is so much to do here if your version of fun isn't just going to clubs. If you have no interest in outdoor activities or you're afraid of snow then yes Canada isn't for you. Stay where you are and don't move here.

Everything you guys said is true but is not just happening in Canada rather in most part of the western world e.g America, Europe mostly in the west…

Immigration in canada is for you to contribute in taxes since the population is old here. It's not because they want you here dubai has no taxes but you will never get citizenship but here you can. Healthcare sucks i save up and travel to get things done

I live in the US and it's no Paradise it may be a little better than Canada in some ways financially but the US and Canada basically have the same economic and employment system I would like to move to a country like Rwanda or the Philippines ultimately with my savings stable countries with low cost of living
|
| 2022-09-16 | 0 |
Taxes are similarly high for me in the US but we get far fewer benefits here. For example healthcare is tied to your employer and not all people have equal access. But i do agree that the public healthcare in Canada usually consisted of long lines.

Thank you ladies for those comments, to someone who is readying this today, I am an immigrant and I have lived in three continents, EU, MIddle East, USA and Canada, \n\nCanada is the best, just be smart with your financial decisions, and dont live in Van or GTA, Edmonton and Calgary for the win, yes weather sucks for 5 months but it does everywhere. \n\nUAE is great for making money, but its all fake and holo, USA is actually pretty unsafe and I felt it before I decided to move. and EU has basically the same tax situation. Portugal is really nice, but most immigrants are either french/english speaking so portugal is never an option, the adoption is too much. \n\nAlso a lot of it depends on your profession, I am an IT specialist and jobs are a plenty at pretty good rates, and if you are smart, there are several ways of shielding yourself from tax, \n\ndont want to brag but us brown (south asians) always break this code, tax no tax a brown guy will have all of his ducks be done with college, with a house mini van and picket fense, all with no debt and hard work, i cant understand how others cant do it (african brothers not included, coz they follow the same template as we do)\n\n cheers my hustlers

I was born in the USA,I would never live anywhere else but Canada. Gun laws do it for me. Most from the islands think they are owe something, breaks me up. Then you have the others who are happy to live here. if you don't like living here , please leave. Bye, take care.

there is nothing you said that is not true of western lifestyles in general\nI’m in ‘one of the best’ countries In Europe and I swear all your points are the same here\n\nIt may be that our African spirits are designed for way more than this scarcity mindset behind capitalism \n\nA close friend is moving to Canada next week\nI can’t share your video with her cos she’s spent her whole life trying to get in
|
| 2022-09-15 | 0 |
Yeah, I totally agree w/ all your points. It was so much easier before coming to Canada. Everything was so close to heart, I was surrounded by people with the same culture and midset, and they looked like me. Its really hard to start a carrier here + the racism that you facing on the regular basis. The longer I'm staying here, the more I want to go back home.

Well, if you have a job, a business, and running multiple investments it doesn't matter where you live. I like it here in Canada ?? ?

I am sorry but I completely disagree. There is a difference between a surgery being delayed and rescheduled verses not being able to get the surgery at all because you do not have any healthcare. Even with employment many people cannot afford their employer sponsored healthcare because the premium is too high. All of the things you mentioned might be better addressed outside of Canada but definitely not by coming to the US. Our wages are not high, the tax rate is around the same 30% or higher by now with the tax hikes. This truly reminds me that we all have our individual circumstances that fees our perspectives and sometimes we do not realize what we have until it’s gone. Great discussion though #blessings

Thank you so much for this video ?\nI had plans of moving to Canada in the name of getting a better life for me and my son. I just changed my mind after watching your video. \nI want to have a good relationship with my son, so I wouldn't subscribe to leave anywhere that I would have to be working all the time and not have time for myself. I am from Ghana, our economy is not very good now. But there's no place like home.?

Canada; another stolen land where the British and French continue to occupy the ancestral lands of the genocided indigenous people… and Afrikans should be aware of this and group with the real natives of those lands!

This video for privileged people, not people struggling to survive. In a country like Nigeria, a PhD holder is applying for trucking driving job and secondary teaching job. They would be grateful to move to Canada for a befitting job and will be excited to pay tax. Many with good educational background don't even have any job at all. At least Canadian government takes taxes and provide good infrastructure. In Nigeria, the government takes your tax and nothing works, no jobs, no security, no healthcare, no good roads or infrastructure. It's difficult to travel inter state without being kidnapped. Your family sells all your properties and pay the ransom but still be killed. You can even be gunned down in your house or on the street just for next to nothing. All my relatives in Canada are happy with their families and are begging me to come. Even people with good jobs are moving to Canada. They're not doing it for themselves for the future of their children, for peace of mind, security and to escape poverty. \n\nIf you're in doubt please move back to Nigeria then you will know Canada is heaven. Many have resorted to prostitution and crime because they believe they don't have any other way to survive. I want to come to Canada not to get rich but to get a decent job and live a meaningful life with my family. I will be more than grateful to contribute to the progress of Canada even beyond paying my taxes.

I am just waiting to be financially stable and free with my passive income, then I am leaving Canada! All you said in the video is TRUE!!! If my parents country was good and stable, I would had go live there, but I will do like most of my culture do, live in my parents country for 6 months, then travel in another country and spend 4 months in Canada. I also thought about going to USA (Specifically Georgia that I fell in love with) but with everything that I heard with racism, no free health care, I wasn't interested anymore.

Look, I would appreciate it if you guys can talk about Nigeria ??, Leave Canada for Canadians to talk about...You are clueless...Live in the States and be carrying guns everywhere including in schools....\nLook , Stay in your Nigeria and shut up....Just make sure you have electricity....\nThe country is so bad, Why do you even want to come here and make money.?...Am a proud Canadian ?? \nBlacks would always complain, Just take it to your country where you belong, and it's called Nigeria ?? and don't come here with your fake certificates... That may work in the States...??

Wow.....funny responses. But I love the Ghanian Lady's answer more. I tell you when Nigerian become better than who she is today, so many of us in diaspora would want to welcome the serene nature of Africa and freedom. \nBut I love Canada though. Safety and peace.
