My family and I will be moving back to Australia. \n\nI don’t agree that there’s systemic racism here - the majority of my friends are ethnic minorities and I saw no evidences they were discriminated against (nor did they ever express that they experienced racism). I feel Canadians are obsessed with race due to it being an issue in the United States, thus they exaggerate these issues and often draw instances of racism that are very thin (such as the examples you believe prove racism). “Silent racism” is code for interpreting something as being racist. I lived for 8 years in Alberta (Edmonton) and for the last 30 in the GTA (Toronto, Whitby, Oshawa). Previously I lived in New York, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, and California. So I have been around a bit. Every country, state, province has its plusses and minuses. I have enjoyed every place we have been. For Canada I am especially appreciative of the health cares system. I don't fret about whether I have the money for the care I need. I appreciate the general civility of individuals. Yes there is homelessness, but I find that everywhere. Yes homes are expensive, but this largely applies to places such as as the GTA and Vancouver area. Yes, there is racism, but have you ever been (especially) in the U.S. South? My snese is that the complainers are more bitter over their own experiences than they are objective.

Canada is graduating more doctors now than ever before. The problem is that the good ones leave for better salary and opportunities. What we're left with are the crappy doctors who could not land a job in the private sector if their lives depended on it. Hence the results of our present system. The thing I don't understand is that you have citizens who have been living here for generations, fought and died in wars to protect our prosperity, paid taxes, etc but yet an immigrant will get a GP before them. Something is wrong with that! Nothing against immigrants btw, it's not their fault. But on an ethical level this should not be occurring. Here in Quebec you will also be discriminated against when seeking healthcare if you are not white and French speaking. So don't come here if you don't fall under that demographic. You will be poorly treated.

You are wrong about Canada protecting and caring about homeless and in-need people. The reality is that even though you don't see all the homeless people, there are tens of thousands of them in each city, more so in the warmer climates. The UN has already been on Canada's back for the abuse of homeless people and the cruelty towards them and those with mental health problems. Canada is a fraud and has been deceiving immigrants and visitors for over a hundred years. Many of the homeless people in Canada, especially in the past 20 years and from the start of the pandemic, continuing to this day, are now including people with good educations and many years of high-level job experiences, as well as whole families. These people became homeless because of massive job layoffs and lost everything. Contrary to the popular Canadian ideology, homeless people are not lazy slobs who don't bother to work and need to get their acts together. Many of the homeless shelters are filled with dangerous people, bed bugs, and diseases. Many homeless people choose to find alternatives to sleep safely. Many homeless women experience terrible sexual assaults that rarely are reported and rarely ever taken seriously by the police. Most alternatives to shelters are limited and there are so many restrictions that qualifying doesn't always happen. Many have had their ID stolen, so they are unable to get jobs, rent homes, or even have a day to shower and clean their clothes. Most donations of clothes, blankets, and sleeping bags are disregarded because most homeless people don't have the means to carry things. Their nutrition is terrible, through no fault of their own. Many food banks will not give food to those without a home. Many soup kitchens will only help periodically and not for every meal. Canada's treatment of homeless people and mentally people is not just disgraceful, but criminal. The general attitude of many Canadians, as taught to them by deliberate government propaganda, is that if you are poor or were abused or a victim of crime, is that they did something to deserve it. Rents across Canada are beyond the reach of the majority of Canadians, yet, Canada refuses to set up a council house system like the UK. There are no emergency homes and no emergency assistance even close to what the UK and other countries across the world provide. Canada's continued abuse, ill-treatment, crimes against humanity, and genocide of the First Nations peoples is not a past history, but an ongoing history that is not about reconciliation. It is about shutting them up so that they cannot speak and get true justice, instead of just a federal government settlement of a meager amount that has only increased the addictions of victims, who have no one to help them or a place to turn. Canada lies about trauma help and treatment for people for having been victims, or have developed PTSD (this is a brain injury and only a mental health problem if the person becomes suicidal or is unable to do the basics of essential living), and worse, Canada lies about this in relation to kids. Alberta has a place that they claim is for treating trauma in kids. However, this place is nothing more than a low-level counseling center to reunite kids with their parents, who have been removed by law. Any child requiring help has to deal with just basic counselors, who are not trained in helping traumatized and PTSD kids. In relation to the First Nations peoples, if the teens have mental health issues, and if they have to be temporarily hospitalized by their parents, social workers and doctors will force joint custody with the parents, to treat the kids or remove them so they can carry on the government's crimes against the First Nations peoples. The crimes continue. In these past few months, a baby was left to die in a basket at a nurse's station in the Misericordia Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta. The mother was allegedly treated like garbage and her child was allegedly called a specimen. But this is not the only case of such abuse of First Nations pregnant mothers and their children. A case over a decade ago allegedly also took place, and the number of these cases in this hospital alone may possibly be much higher, and other hospitals may also be hiding such crimes. An infant, who was the victim of attempted murder by one or the other parent, was put in the care of relatives by social workers, who were totally unaware of the crime, but the one parent, who was put in the hospital's mental health unit, mentioned a version of what had happened, and when the relatives found out, they were allegedly reassured by the hospital that they would deal with the matter. The relatives believed, understandably, that the hospital would report the crime, but it never did. Allegedly the hospital covered up yet another crime. The police in the city, allegedly informed at some point, one of the relatives that no charges could be laid even if the child remembered as the Canadian health services do not believe that children below the age of 4 can remember anything. It was when I heard about this that I realized that the reason Canada has gotten away with the crimes against the 1st Nations, immigrants, Canadians, and who knows how many other victims, through the mandated alleged use of forced assimilation and the alleged Soviet-style education system, is because of this fake claim that children and even infants cannot remember things. This deliberate lie to those relatives allegedly by the police, shows clearly that Canada is following the dangerous path in a more stealthy fashion than the Nazis did to the Jews and others they rounded up, arrested, tortured, and/or eventually murdered. Your perceptions are limited by your obvious lack of real knowledge and real experience. Please, if you are going to make such a video, live in Canada, all over Canada for at least 30 years, then comment, please!

Great video. The Us & Canada seem to be similarly alone when it comes to tax application. Sales taxes are applied the same way in both Canada & the US, on top of the sales price. This is shocking at first until you get used to it, if you ever do... income taxes are also similar, filing tax reports federally and in some cases by province or state. FYI, for folks with multiple jobs, one should be able to complete a tax form so their employer does not take the personal tax exemption. means lower pay but less surprise come tax time. Agree on employment & technology, seems like Canadians need to see new tech elsewhere before they adopt... and experience outside Canada not being counted is something many companies and governments here are looking to address, but the pace is slow

ALL students regardless of their status - only EVER choose a school that has PROVINCIAL designation to issue student loan funding - doing that acts as a quality assurance step, even better - only take PROVINCIALLY LOAN ELIGIBLE PROGRAMS, even if you have no intention of taking loans out. The provincial and federal gov will never issues loans to a program that is not got through accreditation.

I lived in Ontario for more than half my life, and making fun of Quebec was a cornerstone of life. If you take away montreal which is a huge outlier from the rest of the province you end up with mostly xenophobic hillbillies, lower wages, dilapidated infrastructure that becomes immediately apparent the second you cross the border, highest income tax in the country offsetting their modest property taxes, and some of the most ridiculous provincial laws ever written to preserve their French culture. My previous employer literally could not sell their medical service software in Quebec because it was not practical for them to comply with localization laws even though French language was fully supported. I personally rank rural Quebec as the worst place to live in Canada because it's one of the only places in the world that prevents businesses from operating there over bullshit like font sizes on packaging or other graphics.

The job market is sealed shut and glass door awaits. My Canadian, academic job experience was good enough for the UK and Switzerland/Liechtenstein. Funny fact, recently I got invitation to apply for a job in Canada as suddenly I am good enough. Of course no one ever invited me to the network so networking is not. Mississauga ON, I slipped and fractured my right hand. The pain was excruciating. Got to the closest hospital emergency room, and I had to leave without being seen by a Dr after 4 or 5 hours waiting, in the most horrible pain I ever felt. I asked but was not given any pain killer. It was not until I returned there that night, that they could see me. They did not do X ray exam, and what they put in my fractured hand cast was incorrect, and the pain continued. Next day after begging for an appointment, I went to a regular Dr office, and she corrected the cast the hospital put wrong. After so many hours I was in excruciating pain without reliable help, made me think and decide maybe that Canada was not what I was heard about it. I had already noticed how expensive living there was. Plus the racist nature of many Canadians, made me realize that I will never have their friendship. I live in the USA ever since the year 1989, and although I absolutely love Canada, I am not interested in living there again. PS> Weather was nasty cold, but the country is prepared to life around that type of weather, so that was not a problem for me. I look forward seeing more of your videos.

I was born in Montreal and lived there for 64 years. I'm fluently bilingual. I speak English and French. My mother was French and my father was English. I was educated in English. Because of my work, I had travelled extensively and often throughout all of Canada and had seen it all except for Nunavut and the NorthWest Territories. Having stated that, I couldn't wait to get out of Quebec. Starting in the early 70's, I couldn't stand living in Quebec but I tolerated it because I was doing well financially and it didn't make sense to relocate. The Quebec government introduced stupid and restrictive language laws back then. That drove a lot of business and English-speaking people out of the province. There was a real economic decline in that province that lasted many years but luckily hadn't affected my business. Most of the people that left Montreal moved to Toronto. Toronto benefitted from that exodus as they became the financial capital of Canada. I have resided in BC's Okanagan Valley for the last 7 years. It's the best move I've ever made. I have never regretted moving here. This is by far, the #1 province in Canada.

When someone is angry at someone else for whatever reason and they know nothing about that person ,BUT,they feel they need some form of revenge They call names in anger of what little they see or do know about that person ,Usually its just appearance ,race, nationality. But I dont get this one?? Black people say they dont want anybody using the big bad N word ??? I cant figure that one out because they use it themselves everyday , It seems they like it ? If they didnt , they wouldnt use it at all and eventually it would be forgotten if the new generations coming up dont ever hear it being used.

Stop messing up our lives! Just to suit what you want to do. We weren’t that bad before . This started after covid and we were fine before . We needed doctors not more people. You guys kept sending money to all these country and that’s where all the money went ! We do not want our country built up everywhere. NS is no longer going to be NS. All of you are ruining our places because you want to bring all these people here. They have there own country! I’m getting really tired of Trudeau and you people trying to ruin our places where we live and grew up just to suit your plan . We don’t want this in our Province of Nova Scotia. We never ever had to live like this before and this is getting to be nuts. This is our province not there’s! Stop this crap! This is our Province of NS not there’s! We don’t want refugees here and all these ukraines here.

Another fast talking liberal so full of righteousness and haughtiness talking top down to people.\nDid they ask people of Canada if they agree? What is the evidence that Canada needs more people? Has there ever been an honest debate on the subject? If the premise that country of 38 milion people does not have enough people was true, countries like Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Singapore, Oman, Kuwait all with less than 10 milion people some less than 5 should have been basket cases. But comparing those countries and Canada when it comes to standard of living the latter looks like basket case. Terribly functioning health care, high unemployment, people living on the streets and now shortages of certain food items in stores. Not to mention the housing market where it is impossible for working people to buy a place because it was left to the speculators from abroad. To make it clear, I am not against immigration, but sanity has to return in place of ideological madness and vote buying.

How is our health care system going to handle an extra 500k people coming to Canada every year. We have a serious health care crisis happening here. I don't even have a doctor and I expect I will never have a family doctor ever again. I also expect that the Canadian Government will make sure every Immigrant who comes to Canada will have a family doctor or some special set up for them to make sure they can get their health taken care of. While the rest of us who were born in Canada will be left on the sides for at least 40 years as it's going to take at least 40 years of making sure we train and attract as many new doctors as we can. It is going to take a long time due to the Government of Canada let this issue go without doing anything about the degradation of our health care for the past 20 years. It will soon become normal for multiple people to die every week while waiting in emergency rooms for help due to wait times of 72 hours or more on a regular basis. Its been in the news several times this year already but soon it will be in the news every week.

The problem is apparently the lack of people in Canada having kids. Some are trying, but unable (infertile for whatever reason), while others don't want children for various reasons, including the cost to raise them. So the government is resorting to ever increasing numbers of immigration to supply the economy with workers. This has been going on for quite a long time, though the numbers have increased dramatically in recent years. I wonder if the government has statistics on the success rate of those they bring into the country? And others have posted here the question of being able to deliver the services all these new comers will need. It's a valid concern.

Canadians don't want this. You've been importing the third world here for decades, and low and behold things are worse than ever...gee wonder why. It's almost like it's not working or something. But instead of using common sense, the government decides to treat our country like its the old lady who swallowed a fly.
