Canada is evil exploitative place

High cost for international student with poor quality of education and over-crowded classes, no placements or even career guidance, Sky-rocketing real-estate prices with unbearable inflation forcing students to work extra hours leading in exploitation at work-places. Even when one manages to survive all of this, there is long stretch of solitude and loneliness.\nWelcome to 1st world we are nothing but human robots here.

OFCOURSE CANADA WILL BE BORING FOR BLAK PEOPLE... BECAUSE THEY CAN'T DESTROY IT AND BE LAWLESS LIKE THE US AND AOTHER PLACES, PLUS IN CANADA YOU HAVE TO GET OFF YOU ARSE AND WORK, AND CAN'T LIVE OF THE GOVERNEMNT.........TRY GOING TO SWITZERLAND AND OTHER DEVELOPING NATIONS, YOU ALL MIGHT JUST COMPLETELY DIEE.....

For me if you come to a small community college is not easy. Like this people who come straight with no background sometimes even small family own store may not even hire you. Nowsaday jobs in canada is need at least 6 month experience or a certification that you actually did some hands on activity completed in the course. I also agree with some comments research before you come here. Many Indian student are so eager to get a job but without at least a 6 months experience need not easy. That is why sometimes I see many student suffer but in my opinion you have to know why you come here in the first place.

I am transgender and out, basically broke the relationship with my family. I’m living alone in the US as an international student (CN citizen) and suffering from the living cost and tuition even though I have a part-time job, and I’m gonna lose it soon because I have to change my visa to a student visa that does not allow me to work outside of campus. I am thinking about transferring to a Canadian university because I’m poor and lonely without family anyway (lol), and I just can’t resist the temptation of starting my life again in a different place while healing my trauma. Moreover, it’s more immigrant-friendly (note I am still going through a visa change in the US), maybe I will not be in the daily fear of having to go back to China, where is definitely not trans-friendly. But I’m so anxious on the other hand. What if I end up unemployed; what if I run out of money…I’m simply uncertain about how to find somewhere queer-friendly to survive with a secured shelter and money enough for food. I’m sorting everything out…please let me know if you have any similar experiences in Canada. Anything can be very helpful.

So I think Canada is ranked 3rd best in the world to live in (I might be wrong but it's top 5 for sure). Your speaking about nothing to do in Canada, Health care concerns, high taxes or cost of living and other things (honestly your video was just hurting my head listing to). While Canada does have issues (like any other country in the world) What you outline highlights the privileged life you are living. You are correct in pointing out that the health care system is flawed, it is not perfect by all means but AT LEAST YOU ARE GETTING HEALTH CARE. Take the stats for example (I had the privilege of going to the hospital in Texas) My bill came to 3000 for a twisted ankle. They charged me over 500 dollars just for walking into the hospital. I'm not knocking that stats, but if you do not have money, you're fucked for health care. Instead of waiting 8 hours to see a doctor, you're now on Web MD trying to diagnose yourself. You are bitching about high taxes, how do you think Schools, Police and fire services, Emergency service hospitals etc etc etc get paid? through wishes and hope? You are again welcome to go anywhere else and enjoy whatever bs they have going they might have low taxes in other parts of the world but your going to have to pay for certain services you are taking for granted here. As Cost of living, if you live in Toronto or BC yes the cost of living is high, but at the same time, the average household income is high as well. I'm sorry minimum wage in most of Canada is roughly 15 dollars an hour, and the average incoming for most provinces is over 100k. I'm not sure what else to say on that subject :D As for things to do, seriously, stop living under a rock. Please go and travel Canada, to name a few things you can travel to Niagara, Go to Banff, Visit hot springs or enjoy any of our national parks. Not to mention all the multicultural festivals that take place. I guess what I'm trying to say here is, Canada is flawed and has its issues. However, It's a beautiful country and is a gem of a place to put roots down. I'm sorry you guys didn't feel that way.

Hello ladies I don't agree with you. Every place pay taxes to keep the city beautiful and safe. It's not that the government is living off of it. The Government welcomed you and other immigrants. Canada is a beautiful place it's a place with 10 cities within. So is it people or is it just africans. When you say people what people are you speaking of .so I disagree I think your video is based on an African mindset . There's a part of Canada that speaks only French there's a part that's speaks Arabic . And for as age Canada is the city of retires so I think you are only speaking about African people when you make a video be clear what people are leaving

Why would anyone bring something like that to a public place or school. Your religion and culture is yours personal, but the security rules are for everyone.

I live in india and i havent seen any of my sikh friends in schools, colleges and even in my work place carrying a kirpan or knife, i have seen only nihangs or sikh priest carrying them. I think when you move to a foreign land you tend to show your identity aggressively to be different, even muslims in western countries are more radical than here.

Bringing weapons into a place of knowledge is totally wrong.....

I have seen videos of Sikh truck drivers keeping even swords. Any kind of weapon shouldn't be allowed in the name of religion in public places. A weapon is a weapon what ever u call it in the name of religion. Apt action taken here.

That kirpan is for self defence and for protecting others it's not for attacking others. In future they might even have problems with turban and kada. I want to ask any Hindu/Sikh living in Canada/US does they have any problem regarding kada in airport and in public places.

I am a Muslim and I respect Shikhs for their strong religious principles but there are places where a religious symbol that can be hazardous should not be worn.

Canada has beautiful nature so if you are travelling it must have. Politically. It’s a fuckin shithole where drug addicts wackos have more rights than you hard working guy paying taxes. You might have an impression that police patrol is on every corner but at the same time 11pm in East Village (Calgary) girl who is working at the pizza place has to locked a door because homeless zombies on drugs are causing problems. I am an Indian.. but certain things need to be followed on university campuses.. religion is supposed to be practiced in their private spaces and esp not at educational places..

Even though I'm Indian and would want to side with the Sikh student, I can't. Kirpan along with other accessories were used by Sikhs for fighting against Mughals back in the old days. There's no reason for Sikhs to be holding all these accesories now, especially at a place of learning.

If you are going to another country and a place where your beliefs are foreign ... Try following the rule of the place. Well it's not a crime to carry kripan at least a place where guns are more common....but when you are in other country their jurisdiction applies not your ethnicity ..race or religion . Same goes for foreigners in India....and that is a educational institution not a religious temple no one is wrong here just mis communication of rules

Disgraceful the university took appropriate action against the police but it should never have happened in the first place. It just shows where the university is at lack of understanding. I would not attend this university.

The story of the Russian guy going back to Russia to avoid taxes didn't age well. I remember watching this video in 2021 and thinking that the higher taxes are worth it because you are essentially buying safety. It doesn't matter if the income tax of your home country is lower if the local currency keeps devaluating, if you can't buy what you want because importing is hard and expensive or if your country is simple just not a safe place to live. Now with the war and the sanctions, your Russian friend must be having a really hard time; borders closed, the ruble is nearly worthless and he's probably trying to flee the country to avoid being drafted, leaving any real estate behind.

University is not a place for carrying a knife

It is wrong to have a knife in your waist while going to universities. I know it's religious things but don't carry these kinda weapons in public places otherwise you need to interfere with these kinda situations

No place is perfect. And leaving is not That easy. You have to assess cost and benefits and those change depending on your life stage. But what you mentioned are good reasons.

Canada is poorer having lost you ? you are beautiful. \n\nAs a lifelong Canadian, yeah, this place sucks. Too expensive and you get nothing for your money especially in the housing market and it's way too cold and ugly in 90% of the country
