As someone from Asia who lives with a comfortable life I guess I’m privileged enough than most people who live on the other part of the world. But still, I can never understand why people force themselves illegally. They can just go through legal process, I’m sure there are other ways. This will never happen here in our part of the world. It’s easier to spot who is not one of us. If you want to move to a new country, do it LEGALLY.

It's funny they try to migrate to countries with immense taxes for their citizens and legal workers, and with social programs paid by these tax dollars. All they have to do is get there somehow and illegally OfCourse, and then give birth to couple of dozens of kids then and bingo. They work for cash, doesn't pay taxes and make use of social programs paid by legal residents who pay taxes. So unfair and people who have sympathy for them should at least accommodate one or two families in their own homes after preaching about others being accommodating.

Canada is a wonderful country, but if you're not working, really hard, you will not get anywhere. The average income for one person to be comfortable is 60,000- 80,000 and up.

In Canada, all we need to do is settle them in Alberta and after one -40 Celsius winter,they will want to return to warmer countries. There is supposedly an agreement between Canada and the US called the Safe Third Country Agreement which means illegal immigrants are supposed to apply for asylum in the first country they come to. Unfortunately, because of Trump, the Canadian government doesn't trust any US government to give these asylum seekers a fair hearing. Second, this agreement only applies to official border crossings, not unofficial ones like Roxham Road. Trudeau is absolutely right in wanting to renegotiate the Safe Third Country Agreement.

This is the responsibility of humanity. No one country. Where is the Organization of American States with this hemisphere crisis?

In North America, almost everyone was an immigrant at one time. Canada is the second biggest country in the world with a small population. we have huge amounts of resources in everything, If we had America's population, we would be the richest country in the world. I have mixed feelings about this. I feel like a total first letter of the alphabet-hole for not thinking of helping right away. When I lived in San Diego, it was a palpable daily reminder. Lots of people have cross-border lives. Family, work, home is on either side of the border. Now living up in Washington State, it's different. Here the border with Canada is all about preventing Canadians from stealing technology from us while allowing them to work for us. Some partners who come visit us often times get searched for technology. Like pen drives, samples, etc. It's a totally different story. Canada probably has less homeless than all of south America. In south America, you just need to eat and not get eaten by things. So the result is that people survive way below the poverty line. Then, the big lie tells them that the US is better so they come over to eventually learn how the others found the three headed gardener the hard way. I feel like maybe if they got a tour of the country and learned how shitty it is to live here too, they might think twice about coming over. There are periods and ways when the US opens it's borders but it's looking like a real shit show right now. We don't have enough jobs and not enough houses to house everyone. At least in south America you can live in the family house and no one bats an eye. People help each other in poverty.

If Canada or the US were to charge a fee for permission to remain the revenue would be astounding! I can't think of one immigrant that would refuse to pay a $500 monthly fee to remain and work freely in either country. It has been suggested many, many times. The amount of revenue generated would exceed that of the tax revenue we currently have in place for common Americans by 2030. Why Republicans don't allow this? there's no point,,these issues are the same in all those better countries we normally refer to as foreign countries for immigrants. its nothing strange. Quebec (montreal): Medical care, any public services rude, irresponsive and bureaucracy sucks n complicated (example: people wait for uncertainty just to renew their driving license), THE CRUELEST THING IN QUEBEC INCLUDING MONTREAL IS MEDICAL SERVICES (my god reminds me of third world countries i have ever been in), they will just ignore you heartlessly even if you have RAMQ (quebec heath care coverage), u have to have family doctor n u have to sign up to get one IN UNCERTAIN TIME, some they get family doctor within 3 years, others 5,7 years so on so forth so uncertain, so if u dont have family doctor u wont get treated, and if u have family doctor u will hve to stick to where your family doctor works at only, and to get appointment at some clinic they will put you on wait for some days or even weeks if u get the availability slots for u, if u got emergency u will wait 8,10,12 or 14 hours in pain. I feel bad for montreal citizen i swear, they r so patient with all of this while the tax is one of highest in canada. \n\nNow for rental (apartment in general), the check is crazy long it takes around 2 weeks just to rent, if u r lucky u will get taken if u r not then the landlord will take others, the 1 year lease means 1 year, so far to my experience in alberta like for example, 1 year lease but minimum period u have to stay usually around 3-6 months n after that u can leave with notice to the landlord to vacate the unit. \n\nBut in montreal, u have to find other person to transfer the lease, n if u found the person like i told u earlier, the landlord will check the person n the approval/ disapproval is by the landlord. I had to stay for one year living like hell cause the neighbors freaking so loud n partying every week end night till dawn. Couldn’t even have good sleep for work, so I called 911 two times, the police couldn’t do anything, yet the landlord n the building management kept on saying that they gave warning etc to that tenant, but they didn’t take any further action toward that, n i know they dont care, they care only for money. When i started to file complaint to the TAL(quebec rental board, they r irresponsive, complicated procedures, n in the end they dont solve any problem, on their site said that renter or landlord has to retain lawyer, the hell they r there for then? \n\nThe apartment building is tiny, tight old, the wall is thin, u can hear everything from your neighbour upstair, downstair n on your side too.. \n\nMONTREAL IS ALSO SO DENSED AND TIGHT, the main road so tight with cars parked on both sides of the road to ways only one lane on each way, cos mostly apartment building they dont provide parking spot, so they have to park on the road side, i feel bad for the bus driver i swear, with snow mounting on both side of the road makes driving bus is just so stressful, almost every neighbourhood looks dirty, trashes, people littering every where. Im Not complaining but that’s what it is, im living in montreal currently for more than one year but im just gonna move out of here lol

Take a good hard look at what drug users are doing to these people. Cartels have taken over Mexico and many south of the border countries. Look into the avocado market as one example. If they don't pay the cartels they and their families are m****d. In many cases farms are stolen right from under their feet along with everything else they own. They live in constant fear of brutal violence, many are forced into being drug mules. The police and their governments are in on the take so there is nothing they can do. How about this one I was born and raised in Canada I’m 80 years old and have no family Dr I tried for years to get one I finally got one when I ended up in hospital and a kind nurse got me one who went on maternity leave and didn’t come back I asked if someone else could take me I was told no and yet they were new doctors they I came to the conclusion I was the wrong colour for the place !!! I’m white I guess I will have to get me one of those race card that are played by so many in this once great country Canada !!!! Just Saying

Canada is one of the most racist and discrimatory country in the world. It feeds on fooling skilled immigrants and bringing doctors and engineers or other professionals from other countries to come and clean toilets here or become a taxi driver or some other low paying job. You young lady are ill-informed.Telecom in Canada is expensive due to extent of territory and the low population.(as the population expands,prices go down) 2 major banks just went bankrupt in the USA and people lost their life savings,you will not see this in Canada as the government not only garantees a part of your savings,but closely monitors the banks.As for homelessness it is not a Canadian thing as you say, it is worldwide.(There is not ONE SINGLE COUNTRY in the WORLD that has not that problem to a certain extent.)As for doctors while it is true that there is a shortage,any true emergency or serious illness wil be treated swiftly and you will not go into debt for it.Maybe people should learn to not bother doctors for their hangovers and little stomach aches and thus liberate the space for real illness
