Try going to America for their health care, you pay health insurance, but have to wait ages at emergency, you may get an op faster but if your plan does not cover all your costs you will need to get a loan, some people have to sell their homes. But to just go there and be a regular teacher, doctor, lawyer, engineer to the low and middle class you’ll end up with the same financial issues and struggles as a result. You gotta now cater to the rich and famous wealthy people but then it’s back to never being home and not enough time for family. \nThe reality is if we could make the money we make here in North America and Uk back home in in the Caribbean and specific countries in Africa it would be a dream come true and that goes for other communist countries too. You truly have to know what makes you happy. Make money but enjoy life it might mean living below your means even though you can can afford a bit better life style. People do it all the time back home (not because they want to I know) but for some reason when you move abroad a one bedroom for your single self is to small, the car under $24k isn’t good enough, you don’t want your kids to share a room so you need a bigger house and the list goes on and on. \nCanada is boring if your not in a major city with money to spend you know why? Because people forget the population of the entire country of Canada is only a 3rd, 4th, 10th of the population of certain countries that immigrants came from and in the case of the US population it’s 100x more than Canada. So of course there’s more opportunities there. \nAnd finally imagine if more countries didn’t need visas to travel? They really would just come to make money and go back home or live bicoastal. Even just the freedom of travel half of the immigrants would of settled elsewhere before the year was up or go back home.

I lived in nyc, NJ. Healthcare is atrocious. You need a car if you don't live in the city. Too many unfriendly ppl. My friend was shot at house party in NJ. Expensive. Trust me ?? is best. No where is perfect but trust me stop complaining. Work, go on vacation, build a family and live life ?????‍?

I listened to your chat. I did not appreciate some of your reasons for why people leave Canada. First of all life is what you make it. There are lots of things to do if you are interested in being active. Canada is a very beautiful country and there are lots of places to visit and enjoy. \nYou need to educate yourself about what people are paid in the US and Canada. The minimum wage is a lot higher in Canada. I suggest that you leave Canada and then you will appreciate what a wonderful country we live in. Go to Trinidad for example and buy groceries ...pay over a thousand dollars a week for food, then tell me that food is too expensive in Canada. (25.00 for a box of cereal)!Go to a hospital there and you will wait for a whole day just to be seen. Yes, we have a shortage of medical doctors and nurses here, but they are trying to fix that. Sure we pay taxes, but if you or someone in your family needs a heart transplant, a knee replacement or whatever, you will get it FREE in the hospital, and while you are in the hospital, your bed will have sheets and pillow cases. Drive your car on the roads in Trinidad and the potholes will ruin your tires, not to mention the frame of the car. Your taxes also maintains parks, roads and bridges for the safety and enjoyment of everyone. The government has no control over the weather, so complaining that it is too cold or rainy is up to mother nature. During the lockdown I am sure you received money from the government to help you, everyone did. Do you think other countries paid their people money to help them get through this crisis?? NO!\nI love Canada, it has been good to me and I never regretted emigrating here 42 years ago. I go traveling to other countries and I see how other people live and I am happy to come home. Appreciate what you have or if you are so unhappy, use the passport that you said is so powerful.

Canada business system prefers the big franchises businesses that have millions of dollars. If you have a small shop or restaurant get beaten by the big corporations that has franchises. the food costs are high and when selling u just cant sell for a better profit that can actually make you money. The Chinese and Indians knows how to sell little many items at a low cost just to be on a very tinny profitable way to keep on going. The Multi big paying makes money in Canada not the small business immigrants come and create. Those business don't built wealth because the big corporations are pushed by the Gov more in creating jobs and paying the big corporate taxes that in turn the taxes help support the social programs for those that cant work and also providing the basic needs to those that needs it through the taxes paid. In many African states many of the individual business that strife and create wealth because there isn't too much huge corporations that competes with this small business like the first world nations. In SA for example we have seen an explosion of many migrants going there creating small business and striving better than they will be in Canada. The taxes are high in Canada that's true u cant be rich sorry u will work until you lose your hair f not your hair turns white in a very short time due to too much stress and worries. Canada is good for social programs it takes care off those that don't' work if you work forget about getting rich but supporting those that don't work through the allocated taxes. Canada and the first world nations supports Big corporation and Franchising not really a fan of small business even when they are here they just don't create huge profits to think they will make it. In fact when the economy falls those shops easily shut down entirely and when they do reopen they barely make profits. I have seen Nigerian, Ghanaian small shops with Ethiopian and Jamaican business.

First of all I'm guessing you are in Toronto or Vancouver or Calgary maybe Montreal, The most expensive places in Canada to Live for sure. I live in Manitoba where the cost of living is pretty close to the cheapest in Canada. Yes minimum wage is $11.95 and apparently going up shortly. Very interesting views. I don't live in Canada. My views, high taxes are unreasonable but at the same time it ensures that everyone gets a quality of life especially in terms of health care. Two weeks leave is ridiculous it is unreachable.\n\nI also think that all that glitters is not gold (in terms of leaving Canada and going elsewhere) I and a lot of people living in other countries would give all they have to leave and go somewhere else where they can work and earn money to buy what they need. Well it looks like Canada is just the same as UK, expect I can go for private health care. You really shouldn't complain cos compared to 9ja, Canada is still a better option - electricity, water are 24-7, good roads, amenities, the government isn't corrupt, need I go on? Bad things about Saskatchewan:\n-A LOT of snow, A LOT\n- negative 30c is the norm in winter, summer usually plus 25c (It's COLD)\n-housing prices aren't as cheap as the video says... sure you can buy a place for $280,000 :) ...an apartment. \nA new family house made in 2012 costs $550,000, an old one made in 1980 costs $330,000.\n- Not a lot of bang for your buck. I left Canada for Southeast Asia in 2019, and I'm not going back. The career opportunities and savings are much greater in other countries. My phone bill, internet bill, healthcare, etc. is much better in Asia. Plus I don't need a car here. The savings on that alone are nuts.

Most universities are recognized by Canada actually. If you go to a competitive university it’s guaranteed. Engineers need to transfer their PEng license to Canada. Doctors need to have a MD in a Western country to transfer licenses.

Anyone in Quebec would likely agree that they are the best province. However I have yet to meet anyone from outside of Quebec who would agree. Quebec seems to get the most government handouts and assistance including by means of taxing other provinces to pay for Quebec's needs. BC is going down hill as the real estate industry divides the rich and poor to a breaking point. I live in the UK and its the same here... everyone does their own thing... I probably walk past my neighbours in the street without knowing them... I'm not someone who needs people around all the time, so it's OK up to a point, but I'd rather my life not revolve around work just to live! I much rather work from home by myself anyway! There is more to life, I'd like to have more time to meet friends, go to church etc, however things have changed do much over the last 2 years...I know many here who are lonely and depressed which leads many down the wrong path.

Block parties, cook outs, neighborhood meetings, bus trips to the beaches, weddings and Saturday clean ups were all apart of our past community's. Yes some still exist. However, anytime Blacks in America have demanded equity, justice, education, health rights, human rights, and fair housing, we are met often with a back lash. Suddenly, rents go up. Houses have doubled or tripled in increase. Crime waves have made it almost impossible for people to come out and relax freely. Political changes have also played a major roll. Neighborhoods have been redlined. Even where one goes to vote has been moved. White racism and fear, entire industry's have moved put of key areas. So thete is a natural break down. Neighborhood meets come to a end and different organizations from schools, to planting trees to parking all get affected due to such changes. Local small businesses that knew each family members also close up and leave. Its not a question of oh you have everything you need in your American house. That is not it! Its more complex. The lack of kids playing out front or the older ladies keeping watch have disappeared also due to no rent control policies.

Very relatable as someone who had lived in the UK. We need scrolling the contact list to check if we can just talk to someone and burst out into laughter to feel good. The U.S. is very large, and there are many different types of people and many different types of neighborhoods, cities, and communities. I have lived where neighbors knew one another very well, and their kids would play ball in the street or play baseball at the local park or playground. I have lived where there are walking trails where you would see the same familar faces time and again. I have lived where there were many community activities. There are places where you can find farmer's markets and where churches are large and hold events. Our town has many groups that you can join, and there is a local theater. There are cities of course, where you can find all sorts of things to do. People do have a tendency in many places to have their spaces, and as most people do have what they need within those spaces...and many are spending more and more time on computers and watching televisions, we are becoming more estranged than we once were. We have come to value privacy. But, again, there are many many people with many different lifestyles. Today I went to shop at two different stores and ended up in conversations with several people. One man invited me to visit his farm. One woman told me all about her home and garden. Another lady told me about her daughter and what was going on with their family. I did not feel like a stranger, and the people I saw working in different businesses today were talkative and interacting with many other people, including friends and neighbors and other familiar faces. it just takes a little effort to smile and to speak. That being done, I was very happy to return to my home and have my own space again, where I knew I could take a nap without anyone knocking unexpectedly on my door. So....it depends on what you want. I would hesitate to paint the U.S. with a very broad brush. \nThat being said, it is very difficult to leave your home behind. It can be very difficult to stop seeing differences because you did love so many things about where you grew up, though you might not realize how much you will miss them until you've gone. I feel that in myself, and I have to be very careful not to miss the potential and possibilities where I am, because I am always thinking about how I miss where I once was.

What does building new homes have to do with the price of a home? The bar has been set, nobody is going to go back to selling houses for 150,000 - 200,000 doesn't matter how many homes you build. Also how long will it be before we actually see results from this 4 billion investment, by the time it does anything to help there will be even more Canadians and more immigrants. So there will be an entire generation missing out. \nMaybe you need to go back to school and learn better math skills.

My sister and my mothers house is very nearby. So they always meet each other just go by walking everyday anytime of the day. But only in summer of course.\n\nI live in 5 mins drive so I need to take a vehicle. The car culture is also one of the factor why the life style is like this.

my childhood was in a city with 100k population. my school was 5-7 minutes of walk. my music school was 20 minutes away. I had no any issue walking myself to where I need. without any supervision. It was super safe. Just imagine you are living in a world, - where no criminals, no guns, no violence, no pedophile alerts and databases where they are registered. Imagine a kid 6-8yo is walking alone from home to school and back. That was there. Not anymore much. Soviet union was not the best place to live in, but it was damn safe there. And now what? Fertilization and cancer clinics are everywhere. Obesity. You cannot let your kid go to school without a bus cause it's illegal to do so. You cannot even leave them alone at home for 1h. This is very true . I am currently in Tanzania waiting to go back to the UK. My daughter and grandkids left on the 27thMarch the peace and the sun here in Tanzania is unmatched. We have been conditioned to think.Africa is poor blah blah it is a lie.
