As my family are Muslims, this guy really amazing. I know as a fun fact that Sikh belief is a mix of Sufism ( a sect of Islam) and Hinduism.

He wasn't approved because he's not middle Eastern or Asian. That's not being racist it's based on facts and a big cause of the unemployment problem in Canada because Canada born citizens can't even get jobs at Walmart anymore and most of the Walmart employees barely speak English if they do speak the language at all. My local Walmart for example was 100% locals and students from the local college but a year and a half ago they laid off all but 6 locals who were managers and shift leaders and hired all immigrants who don't even live in the area. And skip the dish isn't any better all the drivers in my area actually live in Brampton and Toronto but delivery food 2-3 hours away from home and I'm pretty sure that's actually why covid keeps spreading.

My heart goes out to him. I was a refugee as a young child. I knew nothing about the legal meaning of my circumstances. But over the years, I have gleaned the fact that refugee status has specific legal boundaries. These legal specificities are not determined by any one country. They are determined by international law. You need to be persecuted. Specifically targeted. As a person. Or as a member of a targeted group. Jumping from one country to the next doesn't change the definition of a refugee as determined by international law.

That kind of test is scientifically flawed, it dies not account forthe fact that I as an example do not judge faces, only actions.

He is not an immigrant. He is claiming to be a refugee. One cannot be both an immigrant and a refugee. He attempted to game the system by first seeking refuge in the United States and then seeking refuge in Canada. A person cannot stop around until he finds a country that is willing to accept him. He is not willing to respect the rules by showing up for his hearing and moving his family from Alberta to British Columbia. I have no sympathy for the fact that he feels rejected by Canada. I make it a habit that if I see someone has dropped something accidentally or I see someone struggling with something I always try to help no matter who it is it's just my nature I also smile at anyone I pass but I'm sorry there has been a lot of times I've done one of these things for a Muslim woman or man and 9 times out of ten I never get a thank you or a smile or anything in return in fact I've had nasty looks some times just for being polite and kind there are the very rare exceptions but generally I get nastiness in return I'm not going to stop doing these things cause I enjoy making others happy even if I sometimes get a negative response but these people don't make it easy to like them when they so often look down on us

This man is a awful racist, but I must chime in that their are many videos online of women acting hostile violent and RACIST towards men... they are never charged for trying to intimidate and be violent. Im not from Europe and I don't hate muslims since some of my relatives are muslims. I just don't understand WTF is wrong with these muslim patrol when in fact they're not from London anyway? They are immigrants there and should never impose by force their religious beliefs to people who aren't the same religion that they belong to. We, Christians, do not force other people to convert nor impose our Christian beliefs to anyone.

The problem is also, even if it's just a small minority that hold backwards beliefs, how small is a small minority of 1.8 billion people? 100 million? 150 mil? 300 mil? The fact is even if the majority are peaceful, there are still WAY TOO MANY that hold violent, illiberal, misogynistic beliefs. Do ex-buddhists fear for their lives if they leave their faith? Structural racism in Canada continues because of loopholes in the system that allow discrimination against minorities to continue. I will tell you why. Most decisions are made by the individuals workers who are not going by the laws of the Companies and Government Institutions and they use their power to discrimate against you based on their own biases . That is what I have experienced. I hurt my back picking up five residents in a day at work and let me tell you the process has not been easy. Everthing I say to them or paper that I gave to them from my Doctor is not good. Even if they have facts before them you are not to beleive. More strong laws need to be put in place to protect minorities.

Yet it still lacks a deepening on the fact that racism and other kinds of discrimination are not exclusively practiced by white people. Had the same experiments been performed in places where other ethnic or cultural groups are the majority, the results most probably would evidence their biases in favor of their own pairs. This evidences that there is an inherent component in discriminatory behavior that goes well beyond of an evil mindset. It’s clear that in general people tend to better identify with those that look like themselves and fear those who don’t. This has been imprinted in our minds all along our species evolution. Could we change that? Yes. Should we change it? Definitely. But it’ll not work if these subtleties are not accounted for and we oversimplify the matter by just pointing fingers to a specific group as the villain.

Also this guy came with his family from America which is NOT a country of refugee status or seen as an endangering atmosphere. He and his family were accepted in the USA so automatically he loses his refugee status when trying to cross into Canada. We have rules for a reason. I just love how people ignore this simple fact
