As a Canadian born in Toronto and still living there. It was so much better in the 80s and 90s. The liberal government has ruined this country in the last 8 years. Don’t come. It’s too expensive. Immigrants come to cities especially Toronto. There is nothing but low minimum wage jobs for you. If you can line up a great paying job and housing before you move, then do it. If not you are going to struggle. My Uber drivers are doctors and engineers in their country. If you’re thinned skinned or have any anxiety forget it. Sorry for the blunt truth. I moved to Canada in 2003, I think over the past few years things really took a turn for the worst and alot of the issues we're encountering now are mostly a result of government incompetency \n\n1) Instead of focusing on treatment and recovery we prioritized harm reduction and drug decriminalization which largely results in the current mental health/addiction crisis \n\n2) Instead of seeing housing as a public need, policies make housing investment vehicles (notably for rich folks in foreign countries) and locals can't really afford to buy or rent as a result\n\n3) Instead of building mass transit infrastructure including subways/light rail we continue to be extremely car-centric, most Canadians can't get around without a car but also can't really afford one due to all the costs associated with ownership. \n\n\n4) Government continues to cut back on healthcare spending despite an aging population across the country\n\nAnd one nongovernment-related aspect which is NIMBYism -- endless delays/protests on all major projects because someone is afraid their backyard views might be obstructed or some old trees might be cut.

There’s so many things wrong with this video. And no one makes 100k most earn so little they get extra money from taxes. I know new people to Canada they said rent is so high they want to go home and they make minimum wage and don’t get enough hours. Only good thing is no one wants those jobs so they’re easy to get.

I'm not going to lie, You guys definitely sold me, lol. I have dual citizenship because my mom is from Montreal but I've never actually been to Canada for longer than a week or two and America is a shit show. So if I can scrap together enough money to get my kids and hubby sponsored... Our healthcare system is not doing well. Average wait time to get a family doctor in my city is TWO AND A HALF YEARS. You can go to a walk in clinic or emergency room for free, but if you need ongoing medication or a lot of other things clinics can't do for you, you're screwed.
