The story of the Russian guy going back to Russia to avoid taxes didn't age well. I remember watching this video in 2021 and thinking that the higher taxes are worth it because you are essentially buying safety. It doesn't matter if the income tax of your home country is lower if the local currency keeps devaluating, if you can't buy what you want because importing is hard and expensive or if your country is simple just not a safe place to live. Now with the war and the sanctions, your Russian friend must be having a really hard time; borders closed, the ruble is nearly worthless and he's probably trying to flee the country to avoid being drafted, leaving any real estate behind.

The USA is getting a lot of people from Africa and South and Central America, and I imagine many will go back because Americans do have to work hard and if you come from a country that has warm weather year-round it is going to be a huge shock. Things are also changing like the American lifestyle. It is going to be different. I was born and raised in Canada. My family immigrated in the 70s. Growing up I was proud to be Canadian but after living in other parts of the world I can tell you, Canada isn't it! \n\nFirstly our Prime Minister is a puppet he works for the Commonwealth and whatever they say goes, they profit off all of your hard work. \nThey keep you sick so you rely on the health care system. Medicate you instead of solving the problem. Doctors are exhausted, rude and over worked, emergency rooms are a disaster and if you book an appointment to see your doctor...be sure you're waiting at least a week. If you go to a walk in clinic you risk getting a doctor that seems like they paid for a fake degree.\n\nYou know when you go to a mall in one town and then hear about a mall in another town that has really cool different things??? Ya, not here! Everything is monopolized! Same stores everywhere you go. there's a mall in Toronto called Vaughn Mills mall, when I was in Calgary they have an exact replica just a different name. Small businesses are hard to keep because everything is so expensive. There needs to be more indoor things for people to do in the winter. \n\nWhoever said Canadians are polite, has never been to Alberta!!!! I've never experienced racism in my life like I did out west, not just Alberta but also Northwest Territories and Manitoba. \n\nOn top of that they want everyone to be gay and not believe in God, they push the agenda so hard in the schools, they institutionalize and confuse your kids. If you believe anything different they literally hate you. The children are hypersexualized...teenage girls looking like they're 30 year old drag queens. And because they're not involved the children have no respect for their elders or teachers. the teachers don't care to get involved like they used to because everything's a liability...a problem. We had a 13 year old girl call a male teacher a pedophile for pushing a little girl on the swing. He quit on the spot, because now he's worried for his career. You ladies could move here to the south U.S. Realize that almost everything you've been told about us is a lie or gross exaggeration. Stay away from the cities but most other places are a great place to be free from tyranny. At least for the time being. Many are working hard towards changing that, ironically, from non southern states.

I'm a first generation immigrant and I'm disgusted by this video. Here they are, people who obviously came to this country as students, got their education here and now complain about healthcare, not being able to make enough money, segregation and their boredom. I’m Canadians as myself everything you said it’s 98% accurate about Canada???. I’m moving out few years agoes out of Canada and so happy indeed living in ?? so much freedom depending wich states you want to live freedom on money , health benefit , outdoors indoors activities etc…Canada it’s an empty country, empty land too cold and depress living and please check the population of Canada only worth one states (Texas)USA population. Canada only need immigrants to build their country and in terms of Govn professions their are very selective and it’s hard to get through if your immigrant unless your a scientist or engineers still yiu need to move to other parts of Canada to get hired . I was born in canada (Montréal ) and never left this country. I thought about maybe moving to Nigeria or Brésil one day. But I’m way too comfortable living here. This country is awesome. \n\nI think that those 2 woman are just boring period. They probably stay at home and do nothing. \n\nTheir is so much to do in Montréal .\n\nYou got endless festivals during the summer, outdoor activities during the winter. You have to try new things, \n\nTry skiing during the winter. Do some yoga. I came to Canada with high hopes. But I left Canada after six years. As an introvert life was extremely hard there. Suffered depression, racism and devoloped an anxiety disorder. I regretted the decision I made but it was too late as I spend a lot of money and effort to be in Canada. I made the money save up and came back to India. I am happy here and finally I can breathe freely. I enjoy life here and enjoy the freedom here. I still visit once a while but to live there permanently is not for me and my mental health.\nCanada is beautiful its just not for me.

I got about 8 minutes in, just shortly after you mentioned the United States. Oh girls, you have a lot of learning to do. Every point you're making can be applied here as well. Visit the rust belt, or families in Appalachia who have a history of coal mining, or the deep southern states on the gulf, or the slums of Los Angeles. You girls have no idea how hard it is to live here.

That would be a sad place to live, because there will come a time when you get older you need something paid for because you can't work sun up to sun down, if most of your money is going to taxes it is hard to get ahead one would have to take some money and pay for land outside of the country to have a place to go one day in order to live, but I thought that place was a part of England rule, maybe that is why taxes are so high.

Canada is optimized for its working classes. Anyone employed full time in Canada can have a decent quality of life. When you go to a developing country to work at local salaries, you will understand how hard it is to live in a developing country.

Yeah, taxation is a bad thing in Canada, once you factor in sales tax, tax on gas, income tax, tax on the taxes...overall taxation is easily in the realm of 50-65%...other factors that hurt immigration in particular is that highly educated immigrants have a hard time having their credentials recognized by this country, which i think is rather unfair to those people and would be a detractor for a potentially permanent resident.

100% I was born here and lived in the US growing up. And its alot to give up for a better healthcare system. The healthcare system is honestly so good by comparison that I'd say this keeps Canadians here. But it is not far or equitable in any way. And with the pandemic it has accelerated this inflation people have felt... but are now fully aware of that impact our lives in meaningful ways every 5 years. We are now like ten years or more in the future on what that impact looks like.\n\nI don't want to work because there is no point. I am working but I don't care like I used to. I don't care about advancement anymore. I don't care about what it might mean for my future in the workforce when there is always a reason to ensure thst my money goes nowhere for me.\n\nThis winter is going to be very hard.

Thank you ladies for those comments, to someone who is readying this today, I am an immigrant and I have lived in three continents, EU, MIddle East, USA and Canada, \n\nCanada is the best, just be smart with your financial decisions, and dont live in Van or GTA, Edmonton and Calgary for the win, yes weather sucks for 5 months but it does everywhere. \n\nUAE is great for making money, but its all fake and holo, USA is actually pretty unsafe and I felt it before I decided to move. and EU has basically the same tax situation. Portugal is really nice, but most immigrants are either french/english speaking so portugal is never an option, the adoption is too much. \n\nAlso a lot of it depends on your profession, I am an IT specialist and jobs are a plenty at pretty good rates, and if you are smart, there are several ways of shielding yourself from tax, \n\ndont want to brag but us brown (south asians) always break this code, tax no tax a brown guy will have all of his ducks be done with college, with a house mini van and picket fense, all with no debt and hard work, i cant understand how others cant do it (african brothers not included, coz they follow the same template as we do)\n\n cheers my hustlers

I wish more people thought like you and moved out! This is a developed country if you invest properly and work hard it's the best place to live in the world! If you are a lazy welfare QUEEN than yes, you will find it very difficult. Sounds like you don't know how to build wealth with what you have. Had the same issue thinking working hard pays off. Yes the racism is very high here. \nMany people come here for a better life but that is very hard to find now days in Canada. Governments here, on every level have let Canadians down . They stopped investing in affordable housing. They haven’t provide enough placement for education of medical staff over decades and now we don’t have enough nurses and doctors. \nWe need better educated voters but of course they don’t put enough money into education. It’s seems people prefer voting for bullies rather than people who actually care about the people and the land that feeds us. Jagmeet Singh is s good leader but would Canadians vote in a person of colour with an agenda to actual help the people and the environment, probably not. It really is sad because Canada did provide a lot more for people in the past. I've never been to Canada, but off the bat I can imagine with it being a British colony and right next to the United States, the lifestyles are just completely different. We've thought to move there but decided not to, a couple of other relatives will be moving there but as hard as things are in Miami I think to myself, why the hell would I live in the cold when I can walk to the damn beach with my beer and smoke one. As a Jamaican it was easy for us to go there but I've never wanted to go because I've thought, what am I going there to do.

I agree with most of your points, but as a person who immigrated to Canada 23 years ago, I am still happy that i did it, grateful for the opportunities that Canada offered to me, even though i had to work hard for everything. Few points i want to make for those who consider immigrating:\n1. Uprooting yourself from your country, and starting from the bottom in a foreign country is difficult, and not for everyone. Sometimes, when immigrants go back to visit their home countries, they try to present themselves as successful, and tend to exaggerate the positives. Having realistic expectations is crucial, do a thorough research beforehand, prepare yourself, and you will have better chances to succeed.\n2. I also lived in US for almost 2 years: US is better if you want to do business, or if you are highly specialized (IT, healthcare, etc.), but i wouldn't raise children there, even more so if i were a visible minority. \n3. If you are on top of your career at home, think twice before immigrating, unless you find a suitable position before arrival. If you are in a priviledged position, you have connections, doors are opened easily for you, you might find it difficult to adjust without these things. Many people leave their country because of corruption, they will find that they have more opportunities in Canada. \n4. There are some significant differences between provinces in Canada: Quebec offers low university tuition, Alberta offers the best ratio between average income and average housing costs. (You can buy a new house in Edmonton with about 300k) \n5. Canada might not be for those who want to become milionaires in few years, or for those who want a night life like Las Vegas or Ibiza... but if you are a young couple, motivated and hardworking, who want to raise children in a decent environment, to be able to send them to school without fear, Canada might be a good place.

Yeah, I totally agree w/ all your points. It was so much easier before coming to Canada. Everything was so close to heart, I was surrounded by people with the same culture and midset, and they looked like me. Its really hard to start a carrier here + the racism that you facing on the regular basis. The longer I'm staying here, the more I want to go back home.

Free health care makes the system overwhelmed and causes delays in getting treatment, try being in a situation where u have a life-threatening illness and can't afford treatment. It's hard to build wealth in Canada, try building your stupendous wealth in a country that is unsafe with poor infrastructures. There's no perfect situation in life but I think having a good quality of life supersedes wealth accumulation and most other things.

Hello Ladies. I'm just curious why I see more videos of immigrants who want to leave or complain about Canada and the UK while it's hard to find videos of immigrants who complain about or want to leave the US.

Immigration to a new country is hard. It sounds like it has failed for you so you are right to try somewhere else. My parents put in the hard work and effort to have our family succeed in Canada for their children's sake. I do not remember boredom being a problem for us kids but then we loved the freedom of the outdoors even in winter. We did not rely on other people to entertain us. MY parents had to be very flexible and give up a lot of their old country ways. They did that work and we have all prospered.

To sum it up why work hard if the system is set up so you fail. I can see why nobody works

Hi ladies. These are exactly the same situation here in the UK. I have been living in London since 1986 and surviving over here especially for those just arriving can be so frustrating. I often wonder why so many of our people are still struggling to come and live in these countries. I know you speak about the USA being better however I have a numbers of family and friends living in America and they are complaining about how hard you have to work in order to make ends meet. The answer to that could be the fact that many immigrants especially from Africa don't feel safe in their own home countries and bad leaders who continually fail to provide any opportunities for their youths and citizens. Thanks for sharing this vital information as many people think these western countries are paradise until they arrive and face the bare realities.

Successful people don't just become that way overnight. What most people see at a glance wealth, a great career, purpose is the result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life

Hello everyone...I've been to Canada,  and back in South Africa,  a failed immigrant,I'm a finance professional.  The country is inviting thousands especially from the subcontinent so they bring and burn all their savings in Canada.  Its not about how hard it is or how quickly you can get into Canada. Its about what you will do there. There are simply not enough jobs for skilled educated workers  , its ok for meat cutters and other blue collar jobs who have nothing to lose,but not for qualified professionals.  It's a harsh,  unwelcoming country where Ex professionals from India end up driving taxis. My advice...if you are a professional degreed worker in India,  Please do NOT move to Canada unless you have a confirmed job offer or have done your research.  Do your math about salary vs. Living expenses. Good luck. Don't jump into a lake if you can't swim...

People that are immigrants have a hard time,. You have to pay bills, still send money back to family members, it's very hard for immigrants. Also canada take too long to give citizenship.

I have lived my life here (I’m a senior) - it is difficult for most people that are here to get started in the working world and the fewer connections you have and wealth your family has, the tougher it is - so people coming from elsewhere it would be really tough! Very few connections and very unlikely you have family wealth to lean on. With the weather here you can just ‘bum’ around…if you live in a tent while you are figuring things out or you’ll freeze to death! Like when my grandparents came from Ireland and Scotland, it took them working very hard their whole lives to get a foothold, then things were better for their kids.
