I have any friends who are from other countries were trying to get their family members here legally through the legal process and it takes them literally 10 to 20 years and to allow people to just walk across the border and hand them work permits, hotel rooms and checks to support them is a disgrace.. these people for the most part do not speak, read or write English, whereas my friends families, for the most part do speak ,reading write English and a good part of them have college degrees who could contribute quite a bit of this country, but are not allowed to come here immediately.. these people should be allowed to come here immediately as it being sponsored have a place to stay and contribute…

Most of them aren't asylum seekers, they just want all good things that Canada has, specially money for free without working for it,USA has lots of work, why they don't stay there?\nOr probably their asylum application was rejected due to was false.

Sad Canada is only a second option for people. Immigrating to Canada is so much easier than the United States. As the saying goes, do you want to struggle to stay in the United States or settle in Canada.

Wow.. Nice discussion, but but but... Do you have any other opportunities? I dont think so. I dont think that USA is waiting for you with a big brothers hug, at least if to count the legal staying in there.\n Girls if you dont like TAXES you can go easily living to Russia. There they dont pay taxes at all, but get ready to be sutisfied by 500-700$ sellary, when you spend 500 for flat only...

Quebec is just a temporary stepping stone for immigrants. NOBODY stays after they get their citizenship.
|

Largely economic, not refugees fleeing persecution. You do not get to country shop, and these who enter illegally just stay while their cases overwhelm the review process.

Their wouldn't be so many immigrants if global policies weren't oppressing them through backdeals in their our country. Eventually why would they want to stay?

And the local citizens are starving... They have all expenses paid and full health services. They stay in good hotels so tourism is down. I feel for them but we citizens need help. Our Liberal government is against us.

*Did your white ancestors arrive legally?*\n\n*Trick question, there was no such thing until recently when some white people got overzealous with the stolen land. And Mexicans (who are also North Americans) and South Americans have always traveled throughout these lands. White people have NOT.*\n\n*Not saying white people can’t stay per se, just don’t be heartless mindless hypocrites with the STOLEN land. ESPECIALLY if you STILL treat Native Americans and other Indigenous Peoples like ethnic Mexicans as invaders and so-called “illegal aliens” (as ridiculous and offencive as that term is in the first place) when they’ve always been here and your ancestors came either through invasion or being refugees themselves not that long ago!*\n\n*Remember whose land you are on.*

Canada is too soft on illegal migrants. Thanks to PM Trudeau. Once they cross border, they applly and claim for asylum. After allowing them to enter, they start lving a good life while the asylum app is in process. They get free health care; free housing, free foods, free education all at the expense of Canadian tax payers. They receive better compensation that poor Canadian seniors. When thei asylum is denied, the stay and hide..

Quebec (montreal): Medical care, any public services rude, irresponsive and bureaucracy sucks n complicated (example: people wait for uncertainty just to renew their driving license), THE CRUELEST THING IN QUEBEC INCLUDING MONTREAL IS MEDICAL SERVICES (my god reminds me of third world countries i have ever been in), they will just ignore you heartlessly even if you have RAMQ (quebec heath care coverage), u have to have family doctor n u have to sign up to get one IN UNCERTAIN TIME, some they get family doctor within 3 years, others 5,7 years so on so forth so uncertain, so if u dont have family doctor u wont get treated, and if u have family doctor u will hve to stick to where your family doctor works at only, and to get appointment at some clinic they will put you on wait for some days or even weeks if u get the availability slots for u, if u got emergency u will wait 8,10,12 or 14 hours in pain. I feel bad for montreal citizen i swear, they r so patient with all of this while the tax is one of highest in canada. \n\nNow for rental (apartment in general), the check is crazy long it takes around 2 weeks just to rent, if u r lucky u will get taken if u r not then the landlord will take others, the 1 year lease means 1 year, so far to my experience in alberta like for example, 1 year lease but minimum period u have to stay usually around 3-6 months n after that u can leave with notice to the landlord to vacate the unit. \n\nBut in montreal, u have to find other person to transfer the lease, n if u found the person like i told u earlier, the landlord will check the person n the approval/ disapproval is by the landlord. I had to stay for one year living like hell cause the neighbors freaking so loud n partying every week end night till dawn. Couldn’t even have good sleep for work, so I called 911 two times, the police couldn’t do anything, yet the landlord n the building management kept on saying that they gave warning etc to that tenant, but they didn’t take any further action toward that, n i know they dont care, they care only for money. When i started to file complaint to the TAL(quebec rental board, they r irresponsive, complicated procedures, n in the end they dont solve any problem, on their site said that renter or landlord has to retain lawyer, the hell they r there for then? \n\nThe apartment building is tiny, tight old, the wall is thin, u can hear everything from your neighbour upstair, downstair n on your side too.. \n\nMONTREAL IS ALSO SO DENSED AND TIGHT, the main road so tight with cars parked on both sides of the road to ways only one lane on each way, cos mostly apartment building they dont provide parking spot, so they have to park on the road side, i feel bad for the bus driver i swear, with snow mounting on both side of the road makes driving bus is just so stressful, almost every neighbourhood looks dirty, trashes, people littering every where. Im Not complaining but that’s what it is, im living in montreal currently for more than one year but im just gonna move out of here lol

Of the democrat presidential candidates, those who are not Methuselahs are full-blown morons or towering mediocrities, and some are all three. Joe is teetering, and every time Kamala sees Joe is going on a trip, literally, where he has to climb steps into Air Force 1, she hustles down to the Oval Office and starts measuring the drapes. No one wishes ill on the President, except all the democrat contenders in secret. He just keeps going and going, incoherently and corruptly, but he refuses to stop and you know his wife, whose doctorate you should take very seriously because it is super impressive according to her, will Weekend at Bernie’s her desiccated husk of a hubby through Inauguration Day 2029 if she has to to stay parked at 1600 PA.\n\nIt's got to be frustrating for Kamala, who knows that her path to the presidency lies through a cruel twist of fate. But gay Pete Buttigieg is there too, circling, calculating, unaccountable, hoping to take a shot if the path gets cleared by destiny. And then there’s Gavin Newsom, who hopes to spread California’s promise of a hobo squatting on every porch to all of America. Hillary, who is turning 137, might get in – I hear it’s her turn. And people worry about Michelle being unbeatable if she decides to leave her shorefront, climate change-defying mansion to run, and that concern is proof that Americans have lost their faith in their fellow Americans.\n\nAnd we should lose our faith in our fellow Americans because there are a substantial number of them who will vote for any mutant, commie, weirdo, or clinical imbecile with a (D) after his/her/their/xir name. They elected John Fetterman knowing he was a barely cognizant ogre and then were stunned that he stopped doing the senator thing about a month in exactly as they were warned. But hey, he was open to killing babies and that’s what mattered !@!@!

Why not stay in Canada? There's a low population crisis in Canada. They'll be welcomed there.

Clearly, it is a way to get into country and stay afterwards.

It sounds to me like these immigrants expect way too much out of Canada. Canada is a shithole now. Immigrants might as well stay in their own country where everything is cheaper and the weather is better.

Very well spoken. I do not plan on staying here, I would rather opt for a lower salary and balanced life in a warm county. Where cost of living Is less and people value you unconditionally ??

My stepson works in Tuk NWT, and he gets his food and lodging paid for, and gets to fly back to Alberta for a break every few weeks. He really likes it. In the winter they're only allowed to stay outside for a certain amount of time, and then go inside to warm up for awhile.

Very Informative. Thank you for this. \nI am applying for my parents visa and I will be sponsoring their trip. For the question - How much money do you have for your stay in Canada?, Can I fill in 0 because my mother is a housemaker? Or is it the total amount that I will be displaying as proof of funds?

If you’re broke stay in Canada, if you have a high skilled job (Lawyer, Doctor, engineer, software developer, nurse, etc.) just move to America, the pay is much better. Coming from experience ?
|
| 2023-02-25 | 0 |
You are taxed off the top 40%, then 15% when you buy something, larger items taxed 15% when you sell, then 5-100% (100% soon to come if the liberals stay in) estate tax when you die. If you are the 60 percent of the population that doesn’t have an accountant, you have very little chance of getting a better life.

I cant beleive its the same canada Nigerians sell their arms and legs to migrate to. The grass always seems greener next door. Canada is a great country but if you have something going on for you back home better stay behind and visit canada
|

If you have a case, you stay; if you don't, you have to leave. These are called immigration laws. If you don't have a case, don't waste your money and time in Canada, stay where you are

People milk canada for cheap schooling, places like newfoundland under the impression that people are coming here to stay and have a family, grow the population...no.people come here for the currencies, to send money back home.work in canada for some years then move back home and live like king's and queen's . The more you talk to people the more you find out people have no interest on having a live here, just milking it.

You guys are right! If you don't have a car, bike, scooter, or bus pass you can't go no where in FL. You'll rarely see taxi cars but can't flag them down like in NY. I got family in Ontario and for the life of me I can't move there simply because of the snow. They have free health care but im still staying in the states.

Canada is a country where you come to get your citizenship, but unless you have children here, no reason to stay! It’s cold, boring, and people live separated based on mother language, religious beliefs, money….

I would just say that your first point about cities being way safer depends on where in Canada you live. We don’t have anything as bad as Detroit or Chicago in Canada, but we have some bad cities. You guys are from out East but in central and western Canada there are places you wouldn’t want to be out after dark. When I stayed in Prince Albert the hotel attendant warned me not to leave the hotel after dark. I did anyways and walked to a pizza place only 5 blocks away. On the way back I had a group attempt to swarm me and had to sprint back. Same goes for areas of Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Regina etc… there are tons of low income reserves around these places and they tend to dump their undesirables on to the cities

I agree, I was born and raised here, unless you speak the language, have a good education, its puts you behind the 8 ball if you want to stay here. Why? Because the cost of living is too high, Why? Because our gov. let foreign powers come into out country and flip our real estate to make fast profits and that drives up the rents and costs of housing to the point that you cannot afford to live here, period. The only way that you can do it is to team up with other families and all live in the same place and slowly build up your education, job skills and income to a point where you can afford to live and get a place of your own, thats the way they did it in my parents time and it seemed to work, but when you have a gov. that all they can think about is their climate control BS and to raise the carbon taxes, interest rates causing inflation, causing prices to go up on everything it becomes a losing battle. So unless you are prepared to work two or three jobs, don't even think about it, because now its next to impossible to do unless you have someone supporting you on your climb to the top. In Canada we need health care workers and that could be nurses, doctors, health care aids, psw's, dsw's and physiotherapists, in some provinces they give free courses to get these jobs and you end up getting good wages like min. 25.00 per hour to start and all the hours you can handle, that means if you work 60 hours a week, you make 1500 a week, now that you can survive on, I know this for a fact because a friend of mine just went through the course and now she is set for life, that was a PSW course, its all up to you, if you want it bad enough, you can have it all. Welcome to Canada.

And then came the ... FORCED gender pronouns ... im sorry .. uh HELL to the naw naw naw as well as hish as taxes and total censoring or having to modify free speech and even beliefs. NO THANKS. Canada used to be cool, too. damn shame. stay strong, bruh.

I am really shocked to hear these two girls regarding why people are leaving Canada. As I heard cost of living is too high to survive in Canada. So what is the point working hard when have no reward end of the day as all your money goes into taxes and you left with nothing. It seems to me Canadians govt ripping people off instead helping people to have better life. I am shocked that you have to wait to see doctor eight hours .It is terrible to live in Canada as you not get any luxury money but only survival money. Canada govt have to make a change so people can stay otherwise people will leave and have a better life somewhere else.

I moved from Indiana to LA County in 2020. I was looking forward to living somewhere more diverse. However, after getting here, I found that the different ethnic groups stay to themselves as you mention. I’m used to there not being a lot of variety of ethnic groups but I’m also used to us commingling and not segregating ourselves so much in Indiana.
