In the US, I only was allowed 5 weeks off after having my baby, because I took off about 4 days before my baby was born due to Early Labor!! I also was only paid HALF my salary. They wanted me to return to work while I was still in pain, my daughter was having swallowing difficulties which continued for 3 years, and I was having PPA! It is awful. We are moving to Canada this year for many reasons but maternity leave, childcare costs, and safety are some of the most important reasons!

There is a way to get our things done . You should show some respect to a person who is working. You should have not used your phone that’s makes him angry coz you are not allowed to that . If I would be on his place and for no reason you start shooting video of me working that’s makes me suspicious and I will not allow you to do that so I will ask you to leave .

Hard to rank the provinces because they do each have their particular charms. New Brunswick is my No. 1, mostly for sentimental reasons, but it is a great place to visit because it is compact and has such a varied geography, whether it be Fundy, the Saint John river system, the Acadian coastline, or the Miramichi. Helps if you know people there, but people are generally welcoming and friendly. \n\nI currently live in Montreal and have had two extended periods living here. I don't want to knock it too much, but there are two seasons, winter and construction season. Some day, Montreal will have rebuilt itself, but it is a major pain in the arse getting around and drivers are oftentimes stressed to the hilt. The rest of Quebec is nice and all, but agreed, you have to speak the language and even then, don't expect miracles in terms of gaining acceptance by the locals. However, I do give full marks to a province that seems to finally have its act together and set to prosper in the green economy.

Difficult to get decent job for immigrants. Housing is so expensive. For some reason if you face housing problem with your landlord, and got eviction, no one would accept you to rent their home, you would eventually become homeless; so to become homeless is very easy in Canada once your credit is bad.

The main reason they leave is because they usually are not from here anyway. No integrity honour loyalty to any place so they just jump around country to country thinking it will be better somewhere else

If you are well-established (friends, family, land or house ownership, being native in your country) in your country, I don't see any point of going to Canada. I have seen a lot of examples of people regretting their decisions. Desolate suburbs, insane house prices, car centric soulless lifestyle, polite but shallow social interactions, stagnant wages, and crime (yes, soft crime is surprisingly high). There is a reason why Canada mostly attracts immigrants from really really poor, unsafe and undeveloped countries because others go to other destinations or stay wherever they are. World is not what it used to be, stay in your safe zone and try other types of adventures, imo.

This video is spot on! My parents and I immigrated to Canada when I was in high school and I loved it at the time. My parents always complained about work and money and wanted to go back to India but I didn't understand why they were so negative. After I started working, I moved to the US to pursue more work opportunities and now I have been living here for the past 10 years. I always consider moving back to Canada since my family and friends are there. However, I don't see myself doing so for some of the reasons you mentioned in the video: high cost of living, overwhelmed health care, and the cities are a bit boring for living or traveling. The US is by no means perfect and has a lot of the same issues that Canada does (high cost of living, taxes, healthcare) and its own set of problems (crime, uneven school quality, political divides). However, for the time being it's a better fit for me which is why I continue to stay here. Ultimately I feel that everyone's experience is a bit different and they have to go through their own priorities to figure out if a move to Canada makes sense. So if in Canada you earn $100,000 and pay 40K to taxes and you have someone in another country that makes 10,000$ and pays zero taxes, who is better off? \nand keep in mind, employees don't actually pay any taxes, they are paid by the employer. The reason that employee makes 100K is because the 40k in tax deductions. If the tax rate was zero, that same employee will be making 60K and will be in the same position financially wise. You are wrong about Canada protecting and caring about homeless and in-need people. The reality is that even though you don't see all the homeless people, there are tens of thousands of them in each city, more so in the warmer climates. The UN has already been on Canada's back for the abuse of homeless people and the cruelty towards them and those with mental health problems. Canada is a fraud and has been deceiving immigrants and visitors for over a hundred years. Many of the homeless people in Canada, especially in the past 20 years and from the start of the pandemic, continuing to this day, are now including people with good educations and many years of high-level job experiences, as well as whole families. These people became homeless because of massive job layoffs and lost everything. Contrary to the popular Canadian ideology, homeless people are not lazy slobs who don't bother to work and need to get their acts together. Many of the homeless shelters are filled with dangerous people, bed bugs, and diseases. Many homeless people choose to find alternatives to sleep safely. Many homeless women experience terrible sexual assaults that rarely are reported and rarely ever taken seriously by the police. Most alternatives to shelters are limited and there are so many restrictions that qualifying doesn't always happen. Many have had their ID stolen, so they are unable to get jobs, rent homes, or even have a day to shower and clean their clothes. Most donations of clothes, blankets, and sleeping bags are disregarded because most homeless people don't have the means to carry things. Their nutrition is terrible, through no fault of their own. Many food banks will not give food to those without a home. Many soup kitchens will only help periodically and not for every meal. Canada's treatment of homeless people and mentally people is not just disgraceful, but criminal. The general attitude of many Canadians, as taught to them by deliberate government propaganda, is that if you are poor or were abused or a victim of crime, is that they did something to deserve it. Rents across Canada are beyond the reach of the majority of Canadians, yet, Canada refuses to set up a council house system like the UK. There are no emergency homes and no emergency assistance even close to what the UK and other countries across the world provide. Canada's continued abuse, ill-treatment, crimes against humanity, and genocide of the First Nations peoples is not a past history, but an ongoing history that is not about reconciliation. It is about shutting them up so that they cannot speak and get true justice, instead of just a federal government settlement of a meager amount that has only increased the addictions of victims, who have no one to help them or a place to turn. Canada lies about trauma help and treatment for people for having been victims, or have developed PTSD (this is a brain injury and only a mental health problem if the person becomes suicidal or is unable to do the basics of essential living), and worse, Canada lies about this in relation to kids. Alberta has a place that they claim is for treating trauma in kids. However, this place is nothing more than a low-level counseling center to reunite kids with their parents, who have been removed by law. Any child requiring help has to deal with just basic counselors, who are not trained in helping traumatized and PTSD kids. In relation to the First Nations peoples, if the teens have mental health issues, and if they have to be temporarily hospitalized by their parents, social workers and doctors will force joint custody with the parents, to treat the kids or remove them so they can carry on the government's crimes against the First Nations peoples. The crimes continue. In these past few months, a baby was left to die in a basket at a nurse's station in the Misericordia Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta. The mother was allegedly treated like garbage and her child was allegedly called a specimen. But this is not the only case of such abuse of First Nations pregnant mothers and their children. A case over a decade ago allegedly also took place, and the number of these cases in this hospital alone may possibly be much higher, and other hospitals may also be hiding such crimes. An infant, who was the victim of attempted murder by one or the other parent, was put in the care of relatives by social workers, who were totally unaware of the crime, but the one parent, who was put in the hospital's mental health unit, mentioned a version of what had happened, and when the relatives found out, they were allegedly reassured by the hospital that they would deal with the matter. The relatives believed, understandably, that the hospital would report the crime, but it never did. Allegedly the hospital covered up yet another crime. The police in the city, allegedly informed at some point, one of the relatives that no charges could be laid even if the child remembered as the Canadian health services do not believe that children below the age of 4 can remember anything. It was when I heard about this that I realized that the reason Canada has gotten away with the crimes against the 1st Nations, immigrants, Canadians, and who knows how many other victims, through the mandated alleged use of forced assimilation and the alleged Soviet-style education system, is because of this fake claim that children and even infants cannot remember things. This deliberate lie to those relatives allegedly by the police, shows clearly that Canada is following the dangerous path in a more stealthy fashion than the Nazis did to the Jews and others they rounded up, arrested, tortured, and/or eventually murdered. Your perceptions are limited by your obvious lack of real knowledge and real experience. What about the high fees and narrow ... In the education area international students who are forced whipped to take 3 / 9 even if they are sick, broke or have finally one subject left. I endured for 3 years but every day going worst. late in 2022I decided to move to the east coast because I thought that place has a stronger culture. I chose Montreal. I had heard it is the capital of art and civilization in Canada. it was absolutely wrong. Canada is Canada. I was shocked again, again, and again. the wave of homelessness, graffiti, vandalism, bad smell, terrible infrastructure especially roads in or out of the city, and above all, you can see trash everywhere. plastic bags, tissues, water bottles, and disposable cups. You cannot see any street or park or public place without these. This is impossible. surprisingly nobody cares. neither the people nor the government!!!!!!! please, don't be fooled by the advertisement about a good Canada. please, be careful. most of the things about a good Canada are deception.

Most, if not all, immigrants have gone through rigorous English proficiency tests from reading, writing, speaking. Likewise most of the immigrants have high educational backgrounds, so they’re definitely proficient in English. They may not have the native speaker accent (just like yourselves) but I highly doubt they could be regarded as not being proficient in the English language. What’s the big deal about the English language by the way? among all of the languages, it’s the easiest to master. So I highly doubt that’s one of the real reasons. It’s more on the stupid “not having Canadian experience” thing. Which is really doesn’t make much sense. How would you expect most immigrants to have Canadian work experience? This backwards thinking is among the reason why Canada is lagging compared to other global countries. Only Canada has this rule. That way, it’s limiting its chances of getting the best talents from every part of the world. Because of this rule, highly skilled immigrants are forced to work jobs that doesn’t require technical skills just to pay the bills, until they got fed up for not being able to get jobs according to their high skills and eventually leave Canada for the US.

My sister went to Canada to study animation because it was a quarter of the price, faster, and had better employment numbers than our schools in America. Everything went very smooth, she got steady employment that was willing to sponsor her visas and a reasonably straightforward path to dual citizenship.\n\nWhen we road-tripped up to Vancouver to get her settled, her landlady got upset with us when we pulled out the tools and started to adapt for her a custom bedframe riser. When we checked in to see what we had done wrong, we found her crying on the porch. She said her parents sent her away to Canada without guidance, help, or compassion, and that she was homesick still even 25 years later.

Don't get me wrong, Canada is a beautiful country but be careful of wearing rose coloured glasses and thinking the grass is greener. It seems the real reason is to use it as a stepping stone to work in the US. Whatever you do, I wish you luck! btw my partner has worked FIFO all around Australia from Tasmania in the mining and construction industry for around 20 years. Not for everyone, but we get to live on a beautiful island, have our own farm, get heaps of frequent flyer points so get free overseas trips. We've made it work for us. Our Canadian friends said they'd move to Tasmania in a heartbeat if they could!

It’s definitely changed a lot! Used to love it in 2012-17, but now is full of immigrants who have not mitigated or cannot due to their background and culture ! Too many wanna be students and economic/illegal immigrants have created security situation. Can’t travel without fear in TTC in GTA. Every day murdered people probably gang related or otherwise. Too many people being assaulted without reason and gangs stealing cars from your homes and scammers . Just watch/read CP24 news

I get that from a tourism standpoint...\nThis is how you tell the people involved in this list were tourists or not from there.\n\nAs someone with parents from Quebec and Ontario, well, I am glad they did not raise me in Quebec...as the case nearly was.\n\nSeeing how my cousins' education went (the fact they were learning stuff in High School that I had known since grade three was something), the taxes, the social short-fallings and the political atmosphere is quite alarming.\nQuebec is not NEARLY as affordable as you make it sound. \nOf my three cousins there one left for Ontario (much more affordable outside of the GTA and Ottawa). One moved out west as job options outside of Montreal and Quebec City are VERY limited for non-government work, and then one remains in Quebec, though plans to leave for reasons above and some more personal/family related ones.\nPlus when you go east of Montreal and the townships you find A LOT of separatist supporters.\n\nThe list would be VERY different this year with some political going-ons. Ontario's rotating issues. Quebec trying to 'considerably discourage' English at all in the province (as well as being the REASON we had a children's cough medication shortage...) Alberta struggling from a crippled energy sector (not just oil, but all thanks to the Federal government) and BC's pending drug policies and related issues.

LOL It's funny how when you talked about minorities earning less and then only showed the black population statistics. Asians and Indians are a minority, yet someone end up as the highest earners and are overrepresented in medical school, engineering and accouting school. \n\nI feel that there is more to it than just being a minority or having coloured skin... A lot of it is just individual responsibility, and the lack of it may be more common within the black population for whatever reason.

I want to move from us to Canada, mean reason the immigration is broken in usa for Indian and I don’t want my Indian born kid to face same uncertainty . We are earning in upward of 500k and have to take massive pay cut. After reading the comments and watching videos. I’m getting so confuse. Everything has a price to pay, if you struggle in college, whatever the reason may be, living away from family, being alone, whatever the reason is. This is a price we have to pay for a successful future. Also, parents who really want to send their kids abroad, send them to good tier 1 European countries, Germany, France, Italy, Spain etc., US and Canada is just a slaughterhouse, the amount of money spent on a child's education there is unhealthy, universities in Germany are free, and the living expenses also aren't as expensive as US or Canada, had i known about Germany before I applied to US universities, i wouldve saved my parents a lot of money
