The problem is that often times due to religious practices, a lot of people from minority communities are targeted and have to undergo a lot of scruitiny. Sikhs are amongst the most kind and generous people in the world, apart from being brave, sure this world makes a joke out of them but it is important for people to understand that our religion is important to us, we do follow the rules and regulations laid down by the country but others too have to respect who we are and where we come from, it might seem odd to carry around a kirpan but then again that is no reason to violate someone like this, or their religion's sancitity.

Canada is optimized for its working classes. Anyone employed full time in Canada can have a decent quality of life. When you go to a developing country to work at local salaries, you will understand how hard it is to live in a developing country.

Most Canadians of European heritage understand that those of African or Caribbean heritage will almost never actually like the cold of a Canadian winter. I had a kidney stone flare up a few years ago and a friend that was with me drove me to the hospital, I had a morphine shot within 5 minutes of entering and left within an hour, It all depends on how big your boo-boo is that dictates your wait time. Jobs? Yes we have different standards than other country's and need to ensure the applicant is up to Canadian standards, and the last I checked our unemployment rate was around 3.7 %. Unfortunately, Canada has dropped from 9th spot in the world's happiest countries down to 14th, but still way ahead of the US. Oh, and Canadians almost never immigrate to the US, we head there sometimes for a vacation to Florida, but most of us when we have worked a lifetime and are retiring either stay somewhere here or head to Belize or Costa Rica Or portugal where housing and food is much more affordable. So in ending and a small counter to your video title. Reasons to stay in Canada are Freedom, free healthcare, social safety net, tons of winter activities, large job market for motivated individuals, Fair elections where you can vote out a party that you don't like, The peace of mind that you can walk down the street without worrying that you will be shot, robbed, mugged or molested. That's my Canada and I love it.

Thank you ladies for those comments, to someone who is readying this today, I am an immigrant and I have lived in three continents, EU, MIddle East, USA and Canada, \n\nCanada is the best, just be smart with your financial decisions, and dont live in Van or GTA, Edmonton and Calgary for the win, yes weather sucks for 5 months but it does everywhere. \n\nUAE is great for making money, but its all fake and holo, USA is actually pretty unsafe and I felt it before I decided to move. and EU has basically the same tax situation. If it is you moving from an underdeveloped country to a developed country its only OBVIOUS that you are not going to be offered the same position you had in your home country!!! You're moving to learn and grow and when you understand that then you could move.. Immigrants, especially Africans usually stay in megalopoles, these big cities like Paris, New York... But local people tend to move out to the countryside, where things are still more affordable. Why? Because that's what these locations are designed for, to attract the workforce from around the world, and keep the machine running, while the real benefits go to the local monarchs and local middle class who leaves those places. So of course, they don't expect you to come to their country, do so well, and take over. People need to be smarter with all this and learn to understand systems and megastructures, rather than small bits and pieces. The whole picture.

I was born and raised in London and loved in US but I have always had this yearning to go back to Nigeria at some point. People in Nigeria will never understand what life is like here they think it's heaven and will solve all their struggles back home. It won't you'll just find yourself with a new set of problems.

As a Canadian from Québec I can tell you that you're right. The truth is we get fucked by our government since over 20 years. They invent new taxes, they steal more on our paycheck. I'm soon 30 and I can't still afford for a house when in 2000s with my actual salary I could've afford a house easily. We're sick of this lifestyle too so I understand completely why you're leaving except for the weather because I'm used to it unfortunately ?

I just feel the best ways to appreciate your income is when you understand the taxing and at thesame time appreciate the taxing also. Always go for the very high paying jobs and don't see any figure as high unless you understand the taxing system. And I love the fairness in these countries, no one literally feels above the other all because of the amount of wealth you have accertained. I'm fine with high taxes as long as I can have a second residence in Canada. There's a lot of crime within the USA, and Canada is a safe haven depending on the type of crime we're talking about. I'm sure you understand what i'm saying. I'm not entering the Country to work there. I'd bring my businesses there, and help the economy as a permanent resident, and citizen of USA. My only problem is that i don't know how to become a permanent resident as an entrepreneur.

Hmmmmm,what we fail to understand is that people joined hands to make Canada what it is. What people fail to understand is that the grass is always greener on the other side...until you get there and realise that its just different shades of green. There are so many benefits to living in Africa. And there are benefits to living in western countries too. If you like jobbing (being an employee), saving for retirement and having a stable government to protect your investment or give you welfare benefits and having free healthcare and generally living a risk-free life, then abroad is for you. There are downsides though - while you have good roads and healthcare, you can hardly save, your mental health is on the line, you probably will have no social life, the genetically modified food, polluted air, chemicalized everything will cut your life span down. You can be an enterpreneur but the taxes alone, the regulation, etc can discourage you. \n\nIn Africa, there are security concerns but the same security concerns exist in all countries, only they differ in their nature. In Africa, I can grow my food, I can build my house according to my budget (no mortgage), I can start a business any day, i can feed on little money ( you can find markets that sell cheap food produce). And most importantly for me, the health factor - organic food, family and friends to help with your mental health and laugh and cry with you as the occasion demands. \n\nAnd now the icing on the cake - you can make the same dollar you make abroad from your country! So many online platforms to be a freelancer, to work for companies and individuals abroad. So you are making the same money and not drowning in taxes, in high rents, insurance fees and you can afford top-notch healthcare, even better than what you can get abroad. \n So it's up to you. Stop believing that abroad is better. it's not actually. I swore I wouldn't raise a child in London because of the high rate of knife crimes on the streets and the government' s lax attitude towards it because such crimes involve black kids. I never felt such fear in Africa. To each his own. My African shade of green works well for me. Abeg
