I LOVE Canada, I couldn't see myself living anywhere else because it is my home. \nHowever, when you compare it to india, in India you're only paying for electricity, gas, and food that you need to buy at the grocery store. \nBut if you really needed to budget and save money, food is LITERALLY growing in your backyard! All the veggies, fruits, etc. You just need to buy the grains and proteins! \n1.5 lakhs sounds great per month. But 1.5 lakhs is realistically not enough to live in Canada. \n\nDon't believe me? Google cost of living in Canada. Google how much a family of 4 would need to make to survive per month in Canada. Also, make sure to check out CANADIAN WEBSITES for this data. I live in Toronto, Canada.\n\nFirstly, their are 500 men,women and children being placed in hotels temporarily. Much better than cages! \n\nSecondly, these individuals have already gone through the immigration process, hearing claims, back ground checks, medical checks. So these individuals in hotels have already been accepted to stay in Canada. They are in hotels due to Housing shortage issue. \n\nThird, way more illegal immigrants have been detained and removed from Canada. \n\nFourth, most of these people are families. Canada is very skeptical of accepting males. Sorry guys! \n\nFifth, these hotels have a contract with the government. These are the same hotels that were used to temporarily shelter Syrian refugees. Usually 3-4 families stay in one hotel. 500 people won't be staying in the same hotel. Plus the hotels charge the government an insane amount. So they make money. \n\nSixth, more than 10% of hotel cleaning jobs go unfilled. Guess what? Most of these asylum seekers end up working in the hotels they're staying in because of program called Employing Newcomers in Canadian Hotels Project. \n\nDon't worry about us America we know what we're doing. Trust me, no children were separated from their families and placed in cages.

Have fun coming to travel to toronto in august and september. There wont be any affordable hotel rooms available as theyll all be occupied with these opportunistic people who just decided to walk in our country illegally and youll be left to paying WAY MORE $$$$ for expensive hotel rooms, if you can even find one. This is really simple. Don't offer people free stuff. And don't make special exceptions for people. There are tons of people that come to canada (many just visiting or working) and just stay here rather than go through the proper steps (and get denied) because they know some bleeding heart liberals looking down on them will offer a bunch of them amnesty if they wait long enough and pay off the right people. You don't have to live in toronto very long to meet people who have taken advantage of the system in this way.

I worked construction in my summers and I know skilled carpenters, even the ones that never went to trades school, can easily make $45/hr in Calgary if they subcontract or even $40 on payroll and its not even boom times. A lot of guys I worked with were easily clearing $100 000 a year but the problem is they choose to buy brand new pickup trucks on instalments or have overall poor saving habits. Hours are really long too. What I noticed about wages in Vancouver and Toronto are that they are really bad for construction workers, I know a guy in Vancouver whose a layout journeyman making only $21 a hour, a labourer in Calgary starts out at usually $19-20.
