I feel so bad for these students. Those teachers mentioning that we will look back 20 years from now and feel ashamed about this situation. Well, the situation hasn’t changed much since I came to Canada in 95. Education was a business back then and it is still a business. I got my education in some of the top universities in Canada but never felt like it was for education, it was more like running business for these universities.

Just don’t come to Canada! Period! Be smart and get an education back home
2022-10-17 0
I am ashamed at once again we put money above human rights we always need to look at what we are doing against humans rights before we start pointing fingers. When one points a finger there are three pointing back at you. Thanks fifth estate for bringing this to our attention . Good for the students to fight back at this corruption. Canada please do better.

I came from the US and attended a well known Canadian university, and even I had trouble finding a job. If I hadn’t been able to then all the money Canada spent subsidizing my education would have gone back to the US. But compared to these Punjabi students I had it great.

Are you describing LATAM? Because if do you think that's real problems you never meet a latin American country. For your surprise, I could tell you how people disappear daily here, drug gangs control half of many countries, there's a lot of corruption and literally you can't count that you will come back home after a day of bad payed job. Compared to that, Canada is a freaking paradise.

moral- only come to canada if you have enough money back in your country

the part where the one student in India is asked why he wants to go in Canada and he says he wants a white collar job and the life he dreamed of which I would imagine entails a Canadian wife as well? In other words, shouldn't Canada try to attract people to do work in building homes and things we need instead of rent seeking industries like banking, insurance etc... that doesn't improve the lives of Canadians already born here (and in some cases go generations back)

All of you are complaining about canada being expensive.\nDo you know what is going on in some Africa country.\nExample Nigeria.\n\nThings are so fucking expensive.\nWater is expensive, houses is expensive\nFood is expensive.\n\nEverything is now from 100 naira above, you can finish 1000 naira with in a second.\n\nAll most 4 of currency is no longer in use.\n\nEverything is now 100 naira.\nAnd the most painful part is the salary is not increasing, instead it is reducing.\n\n\nTo rent an apartment in Anambra state is going up to 250000 naira a year.\n\nMy advice is go there get your green card and move to other countries if it is not suitable for you. \nStop complaining only those back at home can tell you how expensive thing are.\n\n\nAm in Nigeria right now and my University was on strike untill recently they call off the strike.\n\nAll federal university in Nigeria have been on 8 mouth strike this year and of last year 9 mouths strike.\n\nI don't even know what am doing in school anymore.

Hi Jason from the Uk I want to move on and settle down in Canada. How will I get there I am a British citizen and how much money. I am not about immigration rules I have to apply online. It’s having to take too many tests that’s why? You need slot of IQ \nTests so where do I stand in the immigration process. It’s not easy at all. I feel held back. Why is it too hard \nI am waiting to buy a PC laptop before I start to apply. How much it will cost ? \nThanks Jason but I feel it’s very hard. \nIt’s not like the UK. I can speak in English not sure about the French language. It’s a very hard situation to do but willing to pass all the tests ok. \nI hope to go abroad. Please let me know. The language test is hard and what else can I do. I use my mobile phone at the moment. Ok Jason ok. \nI am single at 54 years at the moment. \nI have good pass. Can I meet you on this issue. Ok Jason. I might do it soon. I don’t get much help. Right now I can speak to you. I can speak only English. Yes I have worked in the UK. \nWhat can I do go to the immigration office in London. The cost is very much expensive. Ok. Maybe in sales work medical job. I have no job right now so I am waiting for a new job. I am wanting to leave the Uk it’s ok but no real future at all. I will but need my laptop that will cost slot of money. I don’t want to be duped in this application forms. I want a visas and permanent work visas or something like the same thing. I don’t get much help. Ok Jason let me know when I find my laptop ok.

APPLYBOARD is getting money out of these poor students who are willing to do anything to come to Canada and APPLYBOARD is getting rich on the back of these poor students ........so we should create awareness to tell students not to use these types of portals

who is scamming whom? Canada is scamming international students, and international students are scamming back,. Deal with it Canada.

I am transgender and out, basically broke the relationship with my family. I’m living alone in the US as an international student (CN citizen) and suffering from the living cost and tuition even though I have a part-time job, and I’m gonna lose it soon because I have to change my visa to a student visa that does not allow me to work outside of campus. I am thinking about transferring to a Canadian university because I’m poor and lonely without family anyway (lol), and I just can’t resist the temptation of starting my life again in a different place while healing my trauma. Moreover, it’s more immigrant-friendly (note I am still going through a visa change in the US), maybe I will not be in the daily fear of having to go back to China, where is definitely not trans-friendly. But I’m so anxious on the other hand. What if I end up unemployed; what if I run out of money…I’m simply uncertain about how to find somewhere queer-friendly to survive with a secured shelter and money enough for food. I’m sorting everything out…please let me know if you have any similar experiences in Canada. Anything can be very helpful.

They dropped interest rates to nearly zero to stimulate the economy during covid. 3 months in it was obvious that industry wasn't doing anything because covid stopped things. Housing went crazy. After 3 months they should have put interest rates back up. Nope. Instead they kept them down and allowed the most immigration ever in Canada's history. 100% the fault of the liberal government. This is why a prime minister needs to have some knowledge of monetary policy

They told me to leave after living in Canada 8yrs had successfull construction business had 8 employees paid taxes for on everything but still I had to go back than re-enter but than I opened up business in my home country and it did wonders and I never thought about going back the cbsa did me a favor I think or I would never have discovered what I was missing

I think it’s also important for them to say they don’t consider moving back or moving back in the near future if they want to naturalize as Canadians. Just in case one coconut head decides to take their words and see them as people that don’t want to be in Canada long term and frustrate their naturalization process

I’m 19 I’m trying to figure out if I want to move to Canada I wanted to get residency there and see how it is until I get my residency and if it’s not to my liking move back to us

This is so disgraceful for all of them. They are new in Canada and they still can't figure things out. they will wish to move back THE LONGER THEY STAY THERE.

I visted Canada once and I will never go back.

I lived in the blue mountains Ontario and now am back in England south Devon, the scenery and achitecture puts Canada to shame. The only advantage Canada has is space.

YOU ARE STILL LEAVING IN CANADA BIKO COME BACK HOME
2022-09-19 0
you talking about canada having high cost and some other untold stories pls why dont you come back to NIGERIA simply and stop discouraging people that wants to leave this miserable country called NIGERIA
2022-09-19 0
Taxes are good. You or your parents probably left from a country because of the problems caused by low taxation/misuse of public funds. Taxes are good. Great points though. Canada has a lot of problems buy the good easily outweighs the negatives. I love and miss Nigeria but I don't think as an atheist, left leaning creative I'd ever be able to go back. Also...Taxes are good.
2022-09-19 0
This is absolute nonsense... African stupidity greed mentality, in the first place u went to canada with nothing. Someone built the country before u went der... And u don't want to give back, why didn't you stay in your country in the first place. Everything you enjoy, someone sacrificed for.. so learn to give back
2022-09-18 0
100% agree! I was the first born here and I want to leave Canada. My father retired and moved back home, for all the reasons you addressed.
2022-09-18 0
Wow I always thought Canada would be a back up if things got too bad for Black people here in the States. Dang!!! There goes plan B
2022-09-18 0
I left because I wanted to see the world... and... I didn't move back because of taxes.... what a joke the tax system is in Canada.
2022-09-18 0
I don't think I understand, I see a video you made a year ago where you made your 1st Million, why are you still in Canada? If you actually made the million you talked about, wouldn't it be better to move somewhere else and then just come back and visit family periodically? Help me understand, thanks
2022-09-17 0
So weird. Half of the people you spoke to who said they were going back are people who have appeared in your other videos. They are plants to promote your agenda. \nThis pandemic has been hard on everyone. Everywhere is experiencing the streets on their healthcare system. The entire world is experiencing unprecedented inflation.\nI am sorry that you have experienced homesickness, but I am disturbed by your change in posting content that disparages life in Canada.\nThis also seems to correspond with your gaining a Canadian passport????
2022-09-17 0
I'm sorry but you're coming off a bit precious this is a worldwide problem it's not just happened in Canada I think you do need to get over yourselves a little bit don't you just love First World Problems if you think of America is better why don't you move there I guarantee you won't like it there you have to pay for all your healthcare if you can't just go away and die and that country. Use a just come across like spoilt little brats who can't get your own way. If you don't like it in Canada you can always move back to your original country I know you make call that racist but it's a fact as I say you're just too selfish Brats.

Everyone has their own opinions, thoughts and preferences. I did not listen to the entire video but sharing my story.\n\nI came to Toronto Canada it's been 22 years and I will leave here and die here despite its expensive to live but people stay where they belong, where their soul is at peace and where there is their happiness.\n\nI moved here with my abusive husband at that time. Back home as divorce was taboo, I would have remained married n suffer. He moved on and left me and my child of 5 years old on the street but thanks to Canada, no one judged me, no one talked about me. I did not ask or took any help cause I worked 2 jobs for few years to make ends meet. With time things got better, now my child has graduated and working.\nHe worked n paid for his studies.\nI have not been discriminated or faced racism despite I come from African continent and of colour but my son has as he was young but he learnt from it.\nCanada gave me my freedom, my peace, my happiness and I am no longer discrimated by my own religion, culture and people who thinks if you are lighter you are prettier.\nWomen were and are still considered secondary compared to men.\nHere we are equal.\nHere they love and respect me for who I am and not based on looks.\nBack home my c-section was f up and I am still paying the consequences. After an accident, I had to go through a leg surgery. Back home hospital lost my file and made me wait for years.\nHere I was handled with love and care when the hospital staff learnt that I have no family here. They stayed with me and watched on me after my surgery.\nI love Canada and my Canadian friends and all adopted families.\nThis is the best decision in my entire life that's why when I die I will donate all my organs and help others.\nI am allowed to keep dual citizenship but I don't care about back home.\nI am Canadian, I have a good job cause I worked for it, I speak 5 languages including French. I work for the govt and we have a balanced life.\n\nHappiness is within us, you just have to find where your heart belongs, mine is Canada. \nMerci a Canada ??

Yep I left Canada 15 years ago, and I have never been back. Beautiful place but difficult to carve your way to the top.
2022-09-17 0
This is the reason why most Asian that come from the upper middle income and high-income countries only came to Canada for citizenship. After that, they go back to their countries to work and live. Especially those that retired. My parent and their friends already bought the property back home, and with the retirement fun they receive here, they have a really good life back home. They are even able to afford their maids. I just feel sorry for the senior that retired here in Canada.

So Canada is expensive, boring, cold, and (shock horror) not exclusively populated by Nigerian immigrants? You could have found out about the cost of living, weather and demographics online before you went. As for being boring, outside of work you have total control over how bored you are. I’ve lived in six countries, a mix of big cities and small towns and have never been bored because the old tropes are true; only boring people get bored and you make your own fun. Glad you’re back in the paradise that is Nigeria. Why would anyone want to leave there?

Good for you returning home where you have security, peacefulness life and best healthcare ever. Why living in a shit hole country like Canada. Go back home where land of prosperity is, dreams can be achieved, the land of opportunities. Why staying here where less than half population have electricity and clean water. Go back home where you have 20% of earth’s freshwater.

I came to Canada with high hopes. But I left Canada after six years. As an introvert life was extremely hard there. Suffered depression, racism and devoloped an anxiety disorder. I regretted the decision I made but it was too late as I spend a lot of money and effort to be in Canada. I made the money save up and came back to India. I am happy here and finally I can breathe freely. I enjoy life here and enjoy the freedom here. I still visit once a while but to live there permanently is not for me and my mental health.\nCanada is beautiful its just not for me.
2022-09-17 0
Only people from poor countries find Canada appealing; everything you said is correct and has been for a very long time. I left 20 years ago and will never go back.

Ummmm.. you sound like you moved to 1 city and making your analogy. I am american and lived in Canada for 30 years of my life. Florida a 1 bedroom is 2400 and at best you can get a 800 Sq ft for 15. Got forbid you get sick in America you go bankrupt. You get paid more in the states... lol some states minimum wage is 5 to 7 dollars. Every country has a staffing problem in medical field. If you wanna be a you tuber now yes u.s can be better for that LA, Florida places with no winter where you can film every season is a plus. Come here and try and have baby let's see how fast you go back to canada when your like almost 20,000 in the hole

I'm listening to hear how Canada is not a desirable place to live, bc I have thought it would be a better alternative to the USA. But it still sounds better than life in the USA, if even just slightly. ?\nSo far, I hear 30% taxes on income (which is same in the USA).\nYou have free healthcare, however you have to wait in emergency room for 8 hours.....we DON'T have free healthcare....and guess what? $450+ later, we have still waited 4-10 hours in the ER. \nHere in the USA, our cost of living is insanely high compared to a single and even a double income. Our lowest rent is $1,200 to live in low income surroundings. A rent around $1,800/month will bring you to nicer surroundings in an apartment, but still surrounding areas have crime. \nFood costs are so high, Gas is so high. We haven't bought new clothes for ourselves in YEARS, only for our kids. \nDaycare is $485-500 month per child, even before and after school care. \nHealth insurance averages $145/per person per month, not to mention car insurance which is required to drive. \nSegregation has improved here but is ever being integrated back into our society as racism is kept very alive, even as they constantly teach it in the schools. They say it's to teach history but I believe it is just reinforcing racist ways and thinking patterns. \nI don't blame anyone for wanting to return to the comfort of their own people, language and living and country. \nYou may have us with the cold/hot weather in Canada! \nI didn't know about the Canadian passport being so opportunistic for travelling. That's cool ? \nAs far as desired profession, there are many doctors and teachers that come here to the USA from other countries and are now working as a clerk in the dollar stores here in the US. \nAnd forget work life balance here too. Cost of living here causes so much disruption in our family life. Debt is revolving.\nMy fiance's mother comes from a country in West Africa. She longs to return. She calls the USA a place you come to be a work rat. \nBesides free healthcare, it sounds like USA and Canada are similar. \nOne thing I've heard about Canada is that the government cares about kindness, as well as the banks. I hear that people are generally more courteous in Canada than they are here in the US.

Why ladies I’m one of your new subscribers,, just got this video from a friend and watched to the end… I have searched to see if you did come back with the other video BUT I’m just asking now as I just finished the video,, so if you did make the other video responding to the question please lead me to it.. the question was asked “ DO YOU ( or would you) WANT TO LEAVE CANADA”???\n You said so much because you have experience or heard and or seen so MUCH,,,.. REASONS BEING’ I am planning to move to Canada’…. Please respond soon.. thanks!!
2022-09-16 0
I kinda knew about this but not 100% in detail like you ladies explained. Thanks for sharing, good to know!!! Now, here’s my points: You are young and you have dreams and ambitions, which I see fine BUT be careful what you are wishing for, you may get it!!! It’s great to be in a country that cares about their citizens health and well-being!!! Also, these tax costs help to destroy the Poor-Family-Status!!! Meaning, nobody goes to starvation because government got your back. I think it’s a great place for working class family that want to live a normal live and not worries on how they will end up when they grow old. Come to USA and you will see how the medical field works, it is difficult!!! Your tax money goes into things you don’t even want to know sometimes. Don’t get me wrong, I love USA but it is not for everyone, same thing as Canada, not for everyone either. Canada is the northern section, it is cold!!! Not air pollution, beautiful!!!! I think you are USA material, come over, we need more Spartans soldiers, Uncle Sam welcome everyone with dreams and etc. Students loans will love you too in here. Nothing is perfect but remember, for a country to sustain it needs taxes from people to live well
2022-09-16 0
hello , you chose to go to canada.......it does not owe you a comfy lifestyle , or entertainment , it's up to you to make that for yourself . why not go back to your home country and work to change things there ...............
2022-09-16 2
I have no intention of leaving but everything you guys said is 100% true. There isn’t enough things to do for recreation here. And the places we do have for recreation are hours away. Niagara Falls, canadas wonderland, great wolf lodge, CNE. They’re all in the boonies and you can only get to them if you have a car but even then they’re expensive and you still need to drive 1-2 hours back home. Unless you live close to these establishments going to these places happens 1-2 times in a whole year. It’s really a shame because even though they’re expensive I really love going to these places. If I can change one thing about my country I’d say we need tons more recreation spots. We really just live to work at this point and it’s not fun.

You're ladies are right on track with that.\nI spent my long life in Canada working, working and working and when time came to finally retire I realized that money I'm gonna get from government will make me the richest guy under the bridge. So, I've packed my bags and left Canada to retire on decent level in back home when I came from. As sad as it is, this is the truth you are exposing to everyone here and thank you for that.\nDon't waste your time there,it takes one moment to realize that you're not young anymore. Life pass by, so fast.\n So, get out of there and be happy in places you love the most . Take care ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I am Canadian and proud of it. Left Canada when I was 24 (now in my 50's), never been back, and love it!!!! This does not take anything away from Canada, I simply enjoy living in Europe.

Be carefull what you wish for Girls becasue Canada like New Zeland, Eu Nordic states seem to be some of the better countries compared to say to the USA (its just over the border by the way, if you have plenty of money!) Yes the USA where if you have enough cash then you can get virtualy instant healthcare but remember within a profit driven system enough is never enough and most people will find their cover they try to use isnt the cover they were paying for! Here in the UK our Nhs was reliable & you were seen very quickly, until they started privatising then costs and times started to increase at 1 - 2 hours now they are 12 - 15 hours or even never if you end up dead sitting in the back of a Ambulance waiting!!! so the private sector increasing efficiency is a myth perpetuated by greedy money obsessed people....

No wonder my friend from Canada doesn’t see any essence of going back. He is enjoying life in Kenya, fact that his wife is black and Kenyan. I see them visiting for thanksgiving and that’s it, they always come back to the motherland.
