i always felt this was the case, but oh my god i never thought this scam was so layered and big. I was once applying for my mba colleges for the US and every consultant i called for some insight used to force me to canada and brag about advantages of permanent residence.

These students should be sending their sentiments to the CANADIAN GOVERNMENT, not using a reporting outlet to tell Canadians their stories.

Canadian education is not the primary target of the majority of international students. Most students use it as an opportunity to immigrate to Canada. So.... you gotta pay to play!

My parents came here from Jamaica and I was born here. This is gonna cause some serious problems. I bet most will be coming from South Asia. I seriously blame you white people for this. For not having enough children. Now newcomers will come here and use the system to their benefit.

What are the plans for housing all the new immigrants, considering most residents can't afford rent, let alone purchasing a home due to the extremely limited supply. They don't care about the quality of life. Schooling is down, health care is down, security is down,...etc. Canada no longer looks like what it used to be.

Canadians don't want this. You've been importing the third world here for decades, and low and behold things are worse than ever...gee wonder why. It's almost like it's not working or something. But instead of using common sense, the government decides to treat our country like its the old lady who swallowed a fly.

Why cant we meet our Paris Agreement numbers?? Because our government is bringing in more immigrants that need housing (cutting down trees), that need to get to places that cars need to be used to get to, that need to build new sewage treatment plants, that breathe in more air.\nYes! With more people coming into the country, our greenhouse gas emissions go up, so what does this government do?? Increase the carbon tax thats supposed to be used to fight climate change. Great scheme, increase carbon emissions by increasing our population so we have all the excuse in the world to increase the carbon tax at a time when energy prices are at a record high.

If you don't come to Canada with a lot of money, you will never experience first world anyway. Making 100K CAD a year is still poor. So there is little chance you ever will have a great life. 100K salary cannot afford housing. Welcome to the 2nd world country that used to be 1st.

Governments sure do the opposite of what is needed. Immigration of the past was to come here and work not come use the resources. Im not going to get taxed more for these ideas.

These immigrants are coming to fill out the lowest tier jobs ie THEY WILL BE NET USERS OF THE TAX SYSTEM. This means less funding for roads schools and hospitals with more people using them. This is the dangers of turning a policy (immigration) into a piece of your identity. Because anybody who questions this logic will be instantly shot down as a racist. This is essentially welfare to big business because they don't have to raise wages if they can import some kid from India to do it for minimum wage whilst keeping cost of living sky high for the rest of us.

We say anything about immigrants, we are racist so...\n\nWe need to stop, and focus on the ones we have. The amount of immigrants I've met/interacted with(grew up in TO) that don't trust the system, cops or gov cause they never trusted them in their previous country is saddening. Others come, acknowledge where they came from, realize it's a paradise here and intergrates well. \nThe bad AND ignorant ones come here, spread the paranoia, distance and racism. Just redirected from a traumatic past.\nWe were fine with immigration, than the ultra wave of culture shock came, and now it's chaos due to long term culture shock.\nWe need to integrate the ones we have, but libs and gov doesn't want that, they want chaos and they're using some immigrants as pawns and canadians of all races that dont agree as the selected predator.\n It's not about race, gender or creed, because all those are part of the fringe. We are Canadians... and all the haters are just moody tourists(including them ones born here and spreading the hate).\n\nSo if I'm racist, I can live with that. The root of the problem is in India.\n1) uncontrolled population\n2) Lack of infrastructure. No water, electricity, washrooms, clean hospitals, good, clean roads. No food hygiene.\n3) Unsafe living.\n4) Lack of work time laws\n5) lack of job opportunities\n6) transport is bad, mostly because of too much population \n\nIndia actually has good education but the infrastructure and lack of hygiene in these institutions are bad.\nYounger generation is running away for a better standard of living. India has the best weather and has the best because there is a desert, snow, beaches, hills, rivers etc but it's is not being kept clean and used for it's advantage.

Canadians use immigrants as a way of life. The entire country runs on immigrant labor. However when an American moves to Canada, with advanced skills to bring to the table, we are treated like the Indian folks, so we just turn back around and go home.

School Is a scam nobody told them that. \nIts better you use that money to emigrate to canada legally, then when you come work, then get schooling if you want.

In short- All agency need is money and all we or students need is a visa to move out of India for better future. But honestly- Education which i got here or which some are getting from colleges in Canada would be just 3/10. Nonsense and no use. None knows who regulates this.

If Canada began denying students VISA to them in order 'to protect' them, there would be an outcry. All to say, it's the parents and student responsibility to do their due diligence.

Well many people unaware of the religious custom might get frightened, it's a real knife after all , people can't be blamed , specially considering what happens US schools.Also having many Sikh friends i know that , it isn't customary for him to carry the knife out of any religious obligation that too in a school. None of my friends do so , they only use it in special occasions like marriages

On one hand I understand the officer cuffing him due to him having a knife but on the other hand there are religious reasons he has a knife and it’s not like he would ever use it or need to use it

Yes they deserve it , they have created chaos in India.
