Let me tell you something from my own experience, and at 82 y.o. a have plenty of it. If someone chooses a country into which to emigrate, he or she makes a choice to accept the conditions and adjusts to them. Canada is not a place to baby disgruntled outsiders, but gives them a chance to become Canadian. If you expect anything different, you don't deserve that chance. \nI was born in Vienna, Austria, emigrated with my girl friend to New Zealand, got married there and created two new little Kiwis, and after 5 years we packed up our family and relocated to California, where we brought up our son and daughter as Americans. We'll never forget our Austrian heritage, and are forever thankful to the friendly Kiwis for the start in life they gave us. But, once we decided to move to the US, we accepted the life style of our new neighbors and tried to fit into their society as well as we could. When we reached retirement age, we bought a modest home in Oregon, where we still live now and proudly fly the US flag on appropriate occasions. For the privilege of choosing your country, you better show your gratitude and your worth.

It's sad to see that people are is these situations . I think Canada will need to figure out how we deal with displaced people especially those entering from ?? illegally.\n\nUnfortunately the amount of misinformation and lies in media don't help in providing any clarity for displaced people .Canada will figure something out . If you know you have heart problems you actually have 2 choices: A go to your familly doctor or B if you think its serious go to the emergency entrance of your hospital. If you cant get their, call the ambulance and they will bring you their. You'll get the help you need much faster tho it needs to be something urgent. So make sure its not minor.

I have lived in Toronto most of my life and have noticed a really drastic change in the last 3 years. Crime has gone way up so has homelessness and drug abuse. Rent and house prices are sky high making it impossible to survive for a lot of people. If your starting from nothing it’s a lot harder to make something of yourself without help . Our rights and freedoms are being taken away right in front of our eyes. I plan on working a few more years and hopefully making enough investments that I’ll be able to live somewhere cheaper and hot all year round.

PEI is the best province. Everyone is so friendly there and it’s beauty is probably second to none. (B.C. is also very pretty, but something about PEI is more beautiful for me.) Anyways, it’s hard to go wrong anywhere in Canada.

My rule of thumb when asking if someone needs help is: look for the signs. Do they seem to be staring confused? Furrowed or confused brows? Are they looking around not specifically around themselves or do they look like they are looking down isles like they're looking for someone or something particular? Then ask if they need help.

Yeah is it like a private establishment where you can just deny to provide service and storm off? Is that responsible or mature? I know people are saying that they wont come to any conclusion by just seeing half of the story but in the same breadth they are also excusing and justifying the behaviour of the officer saying the couple must have done something to make him so angry, that there must be a valid justified reason for his anger.\nThats called coming to conclusions, from half side of the story nonetheless. \nGiven what we can see, officer is in the wrong to storm off and deny them service when the lady specially says her father died. when it comes to cultural differences, what you said there is a huge huge generalization. Why? Some preferred cultural behavior might be true for tiny nations (or small geographic areas). That is because of rather reasonable distances, habits could spread all over that area within past centuries (that is how all that is made). But talking even about Russians is a heavy stereotype. By best guess your Russians from around Moscow area and those close to eastern Chinese borders would differ more than those groups of of Chinese (or Mongolian if Mongolia is also close by), that are right on the other side of that eastern border with their Russian counterparts. And of course by Russians I mean here citizens of Russia and not their ethnicity. \nSo Saying how Europeans are all reserved (which funny enough if you mean Europe geographically would include Moscow), is just a huge misstep. It is like calling all USA citizens to be same way (something you might really want to avoid doing if ever you visit USA).\nAlso Climate. First of all Ontario is not the other name for Toronto or GTA area. It is rather big province. So that weather heavily depends if you are sitting in Toronto, Ottawa, North Bay or Windsor. That humid weather as you stated is only truth for the parts that are closer to those big lakes.\nAnd for the love of god. Canada DOES NOT have a paid insurance. Each province has its own paid insurance. So while certain things might be free in one province (like emergency ambulance), it is partially paid in other province.

Nova Scotia, the best fishes are there. Alberta definitely have what's best for lungs.\nlol very cheap rent in Montreal, of course if you like black mushroom, mold and wall made from paper. Yes it's cheaper but you get what you pay for. I lived in 4 provinces each one have good and bad points (as stated in the vid) the choice have to made carefully because the chances to be stuck for years into something you don't like is very high. In fact the 3 main points to look for are: Water, trees and rocks, choose what you like the most and make the most of it. About industries and technologies, Canada is so far behind the G7 that it doesn't worth the shot to aim for it.

Dude your drunk!!! I've lived in 4 provinces ab, bc, ns and nb. Ns and nb are by far the best to live. Quality of life, jobs, scenery! Ab is by far the worst and it is one I know something about being born there.

In some cases, I was victim of racism here in Canada and this is what I just did: I speak in French instead to the aggressor; I have done that many times and usually it works; if it is like this indirect form of racism (much more frequent) where a “local” or even sometimes some Immigrants try to look down in me, I just called a friend of mine (who is usually free) and start to chat loudly in french with him!! And believe it or not, my French accent is 99% close to perfection although I do not look like a white French guy… but see… this is exactly why it is very amusing as you can barely imagine how most people act by seeing me talking in French!! Just say something like “… je reste pour une année en plus ici au Canada (make sure you say Canada to attract their attention) Et après je bouge sur Paris….”
