Come on people. Stores like this are right across the country racial profiling. We spend millions in these stores. We can take the business to where ever they appreciate our spending. I’m just as sick of it. Where I live they do it all the time. So my family only spends there if we need to.

I haven’t travelled much of Canada but I refuse to believe bc doesn’t crack the top 3. It’s beautiful. It has it all. Cities. Mountains. Oceans. Forests. Deserts. It’s expensive AF but so is Ontario. Everyone I’ve ever met from Ontario cannot stop gushing about how beautiful bc is it that there are ACTUAL mountains here. And the weather in both Ontario and Alberta is awful in comparison.

I’m from Ontario, but I’ve been working outside of the country for over 4 years now. If I ever move to a different province, my top choices would be Alberta and British Columbia. Other possibilities would be Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, and Quebec.

Some things about Nova Scotia I think should be mentioned: \n\nJust Halifax and the south shore has mild weather. Anywhere north of Halifax and it is very snowy due to the Frozen Northumberland Strait, Bay of Fundy and the Cape Breton highlands. We are EXTREMELY HUMID. We might not (usually) hit 40 degrees like other provinces, but our humidex temperature can sometimes go above 38 several times a WEEK.\n\nOur wages need to catch up and our healthcare sucks. Our population is EXPLODING. This video is already outdated. When it was released on the 3rd of October is had 982,000. It already has 1,003,000 as of this comment!!!! This is causing house prices to absolutely explode. Which is ticking off locals on top of a super deadly shooting in 2020 and covid, we are a little worn out and cranky I've noticed lately. But we are usually the nicest people ever! \n\nNova Scotia is so beautiful and wonderful.

It’s not just Canada - for brown folks like me moving to Russia would be even worse! Also no immigrant leaves Canada in winter to vacation elsewhere in the world unless they are retired or rich. Immigrants are not bears to not work in winter and hibernate. Fun fact - it rains more in Atlanta than in Vancouver, we had 70” rain in 2020, 50”+ in 2021. You folks need to stop spreading this fake BS!

I escaped from fascist/communist Czechoslovakia in 1980. The police state of Canada is now far worse than it ever was there. \n\nI have shut down all my businesses this last year. Laid off 65 employees. And am leaving. I will no longer pay some of the highest taxes and worst red tape on the planet, while constantly being told how 'privileged' I am after working 16 hours days for 30 years, to live with every aspect of my life under government rule and restrictions!!!! \nGOOD BYE. Not sure where you ladies migrated from but the healthcare in Canada is terrible for a country that calls itself wealthy! What is more important in life than health and getting timely access to services. I have had to wait 6 months for a simple ultrasound, my friends had to wait a year for an MRI, more than a year to see a specialist of any kind. Not only that the administration procedures are backward where they send an appointment letter by Canada Post (not kidding). \nTaxes are extremely high! I know doctors who make decent money pay close to 55% of their salary in taxes. Housing in Toronto and Vancouver is sky high and you may be working all your life to afford a 2BR condo. \nMy advice is unless you are coming from a country that is down right terrible (Eastern European, Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc.), it is better to stay home. Additionally, if you think you will ever get rich in Canada, then you must get your head examined by a neurologist first.

Canada is a land with great resources, great opportunity and potential, but for a place with so much supposedly smart people they do alot of dumb things. Been here 7 years now and I have seen so many issues that have obvious solutions but because of some weird culture or heritage or whatever they just keep doing the same thing until it hurts them. The real estate market is an absolute MESS and everybody knows. Money laundering, realtors colluding to set prices, blind auctions etc you name it. But they are just gonna keep doing the same thing until the country is in a major recession. Then everybody is going to be crying for bailouts. The health system is a MESS. Trying to find a doctor is like finding a needle in a haystack. They have them driving taxis instead, claiming that their qualifications arent as good. Yet they dont have enough doctors or nurses to support anything. Coworkers whose spouses work in those industries let me know they have to be working ridiculous shifts because there are not enough people. The taxes are ridiculous. I work in I.T. and taxes are like roughly half my salary. Many coworkers have told me all the illegal stuff they do to get around the taxes. Which I don't do because I wasn't raised like that. But people get taxed so much everyone is doing some thing to try to bypass it. And if you dont know the tricks or dont want to do them, you just get screwed. People don't talk about real issues here. There is alot of fake positivity and optimism because they dont want people to get sad and suicidal from the really long and harsh winter. I used to wonder why there were so many train delays until some one explained to me that many people commit suicides in winter by stepping in front of the trains. The only thing propping up this country is the constant influx of immigrant slave labour through the college system, (Like a ponzi scheme). But the immigrants are going to stop coming here if they cant even afford to live at all. Even the regular citizens cant afford it. So what will the country do after that, since there is an elderly population and not enough people to support the industries? Right now most of the immigrants come here and save up there money to go somewhere else or back home after they realize what a shitshow it is. I even have coworkers born and raised in Canada who are telling me they want to leave. Canada needs to stop patting itself on the back for doing stupid apologies and stuff like that, and actually do economically sound things to stop digging themselves into this hole. Great potential for this country but I don't know if it will ever be realized.

I like Alberta, but not enamoured with it. Luckily it has an industry that gets the biggest technical subsidy to any industry ever. Now we see the younger generations are paying a big price for this and will continue to do so for decades to come because of a province that basically just wanted to ride the wave instead having any foresight not to mention it's lax approach to industry regulation.

It is better to travel to canada multiple times before you decide to move permanently! You talk to your country men in your profession and they will tell you the truth or you can figure it out! Don't ever move to any country before you visit as a tourist !!

MY ADVICES: Racism happens because of FRUSTRATION and deeper psychological issues and it is always about the abuser or the bully (for me BULLY = LOSER = FRUSTRATED = UNHAPPY), not the victim! They probably wanted to become judges, engineers, diplomats or prominent and successful lawyers but very unfortunately, life has failed them so badly that they end up doing a job and living the empty and useless life that they in fact, entirely dislike! Fortunately, for the victims, lawyers exist and if gone too far, press charges if your have been mistreated in an unjust way;! Also in case of abuse, record everything… record the image or if u cannot, record the voice (if going out late at night, it might be a good idea to have a microphone constantly turned on just in case an abuse happens) as you can use those as evidence later on and talk to a loud mouth and experienced lawyer !!! Do never let losers walk in you feet’s… ever! By the way, I am Belgian who has lived and worked a few years in many countries, including Africa…. So I have a better idea of what is the perspective down there!

If you ever do a test like this again, please include a person with a disability and how very few stores will hire them. Particularly people in wheelchairs. Face it... a Shopping Mall would be perfect for them as stores don't have steps to climb. But take the challenge.... Go to any Shopping Mall and see if you can find ONE Store that has HIRED a person in a wheelchair.

As a i have been living here for more than two years and i have always been struggling with employment issues, healthcare system, housing prices and many others , i cant really be honest to my parents, back home how hard living condition is here. even though if you spent many years of educations and gained experiences or got your master, its not gonna help you ever in canada. personally its too hard to start everything from the scratch its just waste of time. back to Asia.

when it comes to cultural differences, what you said there is a huge huge generalization. Why? Some preferred cultural behavior might be true for tiny nations (or small geographic areas). That is because of rather reasonable distances, habits could spread all over that area within past centuries (that is how all that is made). But talking even about Russians is a heavy stereotype. By best guess your Russians from around Moscow area and those close to eastern Chinese borders would differ more than those groups of of Chinese (or Mongolian if Mongolia is also close by), that are right on the other side of that eastern border with their Russian counterparts. And of course by Russians I mean here citizens of Russia and not their ethnicity. \nSo Saying how Europeans are all reserved (which funny enough if you mean Europe geographically would include Moscow), is just a huge misstep. It is like calling all USA citizens to be same way (something you might really want to avoid doing if ever you visit USA).\nAlso Climate. First of all Ontario is not the other name for Toronto or GTA area. It is rather big province. So that weather heavily depends if you are sitting in Toronto, Ottawa, North Bay or Windsor. That humid weather as you stated is only truth for the parts that are closer to those big lakes.\nAnd for the love of god. Canada DOES NOT have a paid insurance. Each province has its own paid insurance. So while certain things might be free in one province (like emergency ambulance), it is partially paid in other province.

Not that it matters I'd not care what Provence I'd live in or territories! We as Canadians live in the best country in the world !!! When you put labels on our countries provinces or territories do shut up ! I've lived in most if not all of them . They ALL have something to offer !
