You ladies could move here to the south U.S. Realize that almost everything you've been told about us is a lie or gross exaggeration. Stay away from the cities but most other places are a great place to be free from tyranny. At least for the time being. Boring? Try leaving your living room and visiting the second biggest country in the world? There is so much to do here if your version of fun isn't just going to clubs. If you have no interest in outdoor activities or you're afraid of snow then yes Canada isn't for you. Stay where you are and don't move here.

I was born in canada (Montréal ) and never left this country. I thought about maybe moving to Nigeria or Brésil one day. But I’m way too comfortable living here. This country is awesome. \n\nI think that those 2 woman are just boring period. They probably stay at home and do nothing. \n\nTheir is so much to do in Montréal .\n\nYou got endless festivals during the summer, outdoor activities during the winter. You have to try new things, \n\nTry skiing during the winter. Do some yoga. Learn about other cultures, salsa, meringue class. \n\nWhen you have a regular 9 to 5 you will work hard and have little to enjoy specially if you have kids.\n\nPeople usually enjoy their selves doing activities with their kids. \n\nThese woman look like they stay at home doing absolutely nothing. Good for you returning home where you have security, peacefulness life and best healthcare ever. Why living in a shit hole country like Canada. Go back home where land of prosperity is, dreams can be achieved, the land of opportunities. Why staying here where less than half population have electricity and clean water. Immigrants, especially Africans usually stay in megalopoles, these big cities like Paris, New York... But local people tend to move out to the countryside, where things are still more affordable. Why? Because that's what these locations are designed for, to attract the workforce from around the world, and keep the machine running, while the real benefits go to the local monarchs and local middle class who leaves those places. So of course, they don't expect you to come to their country, do so well, and take over. People need to be smarter with all this and learn to understand systems and megastructures, rather than small bits and pieces. The whole picture.

I came to Toronto in 2018 to visit Canada for the first time, and I went to an Italian restaurant where they were obviously very prejudiced and did not like to see a black man eating there. My GF then forced us to stay when I expressed my unease staying in that restaurant, but the drink and the food were just disgusting and I believe they did serve us that way on purpose. I even felt like they spat in my food. For a moment, I felt like I wanted to punch the arrogant and condescend manager in a face, but the grace of God wouldn't allow me to do such thing! I am not tempted to come back there anytime soon!

This is the same situation here in the US, I don’t think the government is trying to take wealth from people unnecessarily. Belgium has one of the highest income tax cap of 57.8%. It is just the way the Western systems are. The best thing to do is to make sure before you immigrate you plan to go into a high paying field. That’s how you create a good stream of income and stay in middle to upper class of society.

Yeah, I totally agree w/ all your points. It was so much easier before coming to Canada. Everything was so close to heart, I was surrounded by people with the same culture and midset, and they looked like me. Its really hard to start a carrier here + the racism that you facing on the regular basis. The longer I'm staying here, the more I want to go back home.

Well said Mate. I'm Nigerian studying in Melbourne and you are very on point with your submissions. Australia is notoriously gaining a reputation of being a country of temporary immigrants. I dont see why I should give my best years to a country treating you as an option when canada is making you a priority. \n\nWould you have stayed on if you got a Job in your field that also chose to sponsor your PR? Would the cold in cananda make you reconsider your decisions? That's a racket I dont seem to understand. So much emphasis on skills and job shortages, yet many skilled graduates from their universities are being denied jobs based on their Residency status. \n\nI.met a Ghanain PHD student in my Uni who came from Canada, he said wages are higher here hence his reason for coming. \n\nLike you said , its a personal journey for everyone.\n\nSomehow, I don't blame them. If you already used to life around friends and families back home Canada is not for you. Quite frankly Canada is for natural born loners.\nFact, You will definitely feel more at home in the u.s than Canada mainly due higher immigrants population.\nIf you moved to Canada as a teenager or was born by immigrants parents then Canada is for you. You get used to the lifestyle, bitter cold, Old age home and so forth are considered normal. \nIf you moved to Canada as adult with your wives and kids and doing well Canada is for you.\nIf you’re young and single there are endless nightclubs to make friends, schools, community gathering, places of worship even online.\nThose that reached older age moved back only if they still have strong family ties else they stayed and enjoy there pension.\nIf you moved to Canada as adult found it boring and moved to u.s and find the high cost of healthcare attractive, the gun culture less dangerous, the mass shootings, more racism, police brutality and still loved it, there’s no need to move back to Canada.

I would like to laugh 7 minutes in to the video. U.S. current political and education system is attempting to push more tax to be Canada. Our Universities keep talking about Trickke Down Economics as a negative to their students. Trickle Down economics worked. Most societies unless you live in the bush will continue to be unequal because some people take advantage of opportunity while others stay where they are at in life. Who’s problem is that? We will always have an unequal distribution of wealth. Some people are smart and will live a comfortable life financially I feel we should hire University Professors based on if they can run a successful business or not. I feel we should hire politicians if they can run a successful business or not.

The thing that weakens me is how people that just moved here, no longer have their accents. That's why I love Asian and other races and how they still keep the attitude even while staying in diaspora. My thoughts anyway.

Taxes are meant to run the country's affaires but people are just mean. You love it when you are broke and are able to benefit free services from the government but when you start making some money and are asked to contribute so that the country can keep up with all it's programs you start complaining. Come back to Africa, there is always a trade-off. No good service and less taxes. Just keep in mind that Africa not developing is our choice otherwise the cost of development is that, in a way ( higher taxes and government's direct control over people's affaires). I thank God anyway that you people can complain of better living condition but I would rather get busy working hard in Canada than not finding a decent job in Africa or bare the cold whether than sleeping hungry in Africa. While not staying that you would be in the worst conditions in Africa, I want you appreciate what you have and remember one truth, so many people in Africa would wish to be in your position. Anyway, you are welcome home. There's still a place for you all. Come help us change our continent for the better.

Maybe America has lower taxes, but most people no health insurance, or those that do are underinsured. A stay at the hospital can leave you in debt for life, or you may not get to go to hospital because you have no insurance. Its surprising sometime to learn that people who seem to be doing very well actually have no insurance.

It’s funny a lot of people are leaving there homeland, and even when they get a good education they never return to help their homeland. Also you complain about the healthcare yet in African countries have the worst healthcare at least you can wait for healthcare while Africa don’t have any proper health care you die waiting. Another thing is that there is racism in every country even between light skin and dark skin African there is racism. Another is that if you go to any other country in the world you still need certification from them. What you all are talking about happens in every country. Lastly I don’t think no one is forcing you to stay in their country.

Try going to America for their health care, you pay health insurance, but have to wait ages at emergency, you may get an op faster but if your plan does not cover all your costs you will need to get a loan, some people have to sell their homes. Yes they let you have a holiday or a sick day off but you don't get paid. Looking over the fence and chasing after the pot of gold has its downfall and believe me if home was a safe place, then staying would have been your best option.

Yes, Canada has a dry cold like California has a dry hot, lacking regular humidity which makes cold weather colder and hot weather hotter. Spent from December to April in Montreal, PQ Canada. Was so cold we used the window shield for a refrigerator.. food stayed cold.

Refugees, please consider coming to The Battlefords, Saskatchewan. We have affordable housing and a labor shortage. If you go to University in Saskatchewan the government will cancel most of your student debts if you choose to stay and live in the province for up to 5 years. The province and many smaller communities, like mine, have rebates if you build your own house or start a business here. Lots of perks that other provinces do not offer.

I have a male friend who migrated to Edmonton Canada a few years ago. He migrated because his wife was a nurse. But didn't stay there long cuz his sister who is a nurse lives in the USA. He move to the USA Now lives in the USA as an US immigrant along with wife and kids. They are staying with his sister on a one big house.

It's the same in US. I am a registered nurse in the US. I make $2000 a week and pay $700 taxes, my take home is $1300/wk. From there I pay other bills. The higher you earn the higher your taxes. Some weeks I make almost $4000 as a travel nurse. You make the money but after all deductions you'll be left with little. But you'll still enjoy this taxes when you retire as social security income. If you don't want to comply to their rules and regulations you better stay in your country. I did nursing in Nigeria and took and passed my NCLEX here and started working as a registered nurse.
