We Canadians welcome legal migration but illegal migration that has taken place under the Trudeau Government has been abused and its costing us taxpayers way too much money. We're being tripled taxed in so many areas its pathetic to say that least, especially, when it pertains to climate change bogus tax.

Everyone should move to any place that value them the most. Your mom did it and it's the best decision for her and you so you should do the same (while you can).\nThe psychopaths who rule the government know this hence they use reverse psychology to make the population feel like the people owe something to them (the country, like it's a living being, while it's just a place) with the nationalism bs. They want the people to give, give and give so that they can continue to live on top of their ivory tower sucking the peasants blood. Only fools are willing to sacrifice for the people at the top who don't even share their principles. Sadly, many people felt for it blindly.\nThe worth of a country is only its people and not the other way around. If the government doesn't do what is best for the people, change it or move out. Country comes and goes. The less brilliant people they have, the weaker they are.

Many of the problems you mentioned in the video could be slowly fixed by a better government. Canada certainly needs change, but it has potential very few countries have. We have pretty much every natural resources in abundance. There are many smart and well educated people here. All we need is good leadership i think.

Is it possible the world in general has become a less enjoyable place to live in? Climatic changes, the rich getting richer, the poor getting poorer, governments not able to cope because they just don’t have the resources anymore, right wing movements popping up everywhere, democracy being challenged … the list goes on and on. Canadians are paying a deep price for their naivete electing a self-serving narcissist to run the country. Everything collapsing in your face. Once the government changes next year, everyone will realize that the situation is likely 10X worse than they thought. Leaving Canada is certainly sad but good decision. Canada is a wasteland now. Years of JT and his merry band of fools who DO NOT CARE for the citizens they are supposed to represent and serve. It is an INSANE country now. We need drastic significant change to take the country back. We are doomed without electing people at all levels of government who care about citizens and not renaming a square in TO or the many other reasons that we live in a dump, at present. My heart is heavy when i realize how much Canada has declined in all areas of life. The biggest cause has been the mismanagement of this incredible country by the Federal Government. The lessons we have learned since Trudeau has been at the helm is that a country does not operate on auto pilot. Canada has been systematically destroyed by hurtful policy changes and taxation.

I came to Calgary in 1983, and since then, I've seen Canada change for the better and worse. I moved back to my native country of Malaysia in 1997 and lived and worked there until 2012. I can honestly say that my native country is so much cheaper to live. I don't need to wait months to see a specialist and wait over an hour to see my family doctor despite already booking an appointment. Doctors just want to get you out of their office fast so they can see more patients. Got a second health concern, well, book another appointment. What a joke! In Malaysia, I can get full body check-ups, including x-ray, ECG, and blood work, including results the same day. What's the use of free health care if the service takes donkey months? I've decided to move back to Malaysia in about two year's time and enjoy the warm weather and cheaper cost of living. Canada is a GREAT country, but the elected government just screwed things up. Will miss the Calgary Stampede for sure.

People voted for leftist governments, this is the reward. Until that changes, the country will continue in that direction.

Our governments in Canada have certainly failed us thanks to Justin & Jagmeet. Voting has consequences so vote for Pierre Pollievue in 2025 . Hopefully he can enact change to get our country back on track . It will take decades to fix but this country is blessed with talented people and vast resources. 3rd generation here, I can retire next year as long as I leave Canada. If I remain, I will work until dead because it is so very expensive and getting more so under the cult of climate change. It pains me to witness what our governments have allowed to happen in our communities. Drug abuse is rampant, mental health is staggering, youth are medicated, gender confused and climate terrified. A homeless shelter for drug addicts is being built less than a 4 minute walk from my home which is in a seniors park....we will all be victimized by theft and vandalism. We are also divided thanks to trudeau who has labelled and categorized us so deeply he ran elections based on divisions. We are no longer the kind polite people we once were. Churches burning epitomizes the moral or lack of moral ground we live and act upon. So I am moving next year to central America, Panama most likely...I can afford to retire there, never need to heat my home nor worry trudeau is going to ban my furnace and my car. It saddens me to no end for I have grandchildren, 5 generations, of investment in this country.

Today, most Western leaders has lost their common sense on how bot to not create problem to their common people. Today democracy is defiled, elected representative only serve their own interest. Government can be changed but policies cannot be changed. Today Communism is, government cannot be changed but it policies can be changed.

There is no problem as it is the model that the rich count on. The rich and the government you elect are one of the same. Nothing will change until you elect poor people in government!

The problem here is that the roles that are required to be filled are expecting experienced people or roles in high demand such as on nursing and medical services.\nFrom my POV German employers are cheap Bts, they don't like to compete with other employers on wages, and German Governments have obliged and effectively changed the labour market rules to favour a race to the bottom on wages. In many ways the merchantile policies to lower labour costs are there to keep domestic demand low and the economy focused on exports. This means that the wealthy families that run the big companies will only get richer while the common folk will struggle.

It's high time politicians acknowledge and tackle these pressing concerns rather than resorting to distractions. The younger generation deserves meaningful change. That's why you need skill workers because you were exploiting your young generation.

What is very concerning is that Canada has fallen from 6th in the world in productivity to 29th! That is going to hurt the economy and the Canadian dollar for a very long time. Trudeau tried to base the Canadian economy on housing and government jobs. It wasn’t sustainable. The Canadian working class has been devastated and it won’t change anytime soon. I wish I could change it as I love Canada.

Western welfare and assistance programs used to be support systems for needy citizens. But in last 20 years its become a buffet feeding frenzy for the rest of the world to just get into those nations any way they can, legal or not, to get in on it as its an upgrade to the standards of where they come from. But we cant support it anymore. Government policies have not adapted to the changing world. Only citizens should have access to this and legal vetted immigrants. Any illegal immigrants or refugee claimants should stay where they are until their applications are approved. We are stretched beyond our limits.

Is it a real honest questions or a dumb questions? There are so many Illegal people and International students are working here. They skip their school and go to work instead. Government should give International students allow to work up to 10 hours a week. NOT 40 hours a week. Time to change the Prime Minister.. Trudeau is a joker.

This has been a problem for 40 years and the reason where hearing about it now is black rock a hedge fund wants to buy up Single family homes/condos and cannot mass rent without changes to the landlord and tenant board. It is the reason the interest rate is currently so high, push people to bankruptcies and buy up the bankruptcies. But honestly if the government is subsiding the building of condos, the infrastructure that supports them, then hands out tax money to builders, gears immigration policy to increase demand then hands out trillions in loans though the CMCH and other programs and most people don't have more than 5 to 15 percent down and then they rent the place out; is it really their place to complain about a tenant. After all their ownership is basically subsidiesd completely by the government and the banking system, they are in effect a minority stake holder in a government banking scam.

You can't build an economy through population growth when the government decides to bring in 3% of the population per year in low skill, temporary students and workers to help inefficient businesses suppress wages for low skill work.\nYou can't build housing when the fees and taxes on each new build are equivalent to 30 years of property taxes. \nYou can't build housing when zoning only makes highrises with 400-500 sqft units financially viable, which are then bought by wealthy homeowners to rent out for profit. \n\nThese policies are designed to benefit wealthy incumbents (mostly boomers and seniors) and are targeted to transfer labour and income from younger people and new entrants (immigrants) to the wealthiest people at the top. \n\nThe people who benefit represent a large voting bloc and most politicians are from this class of people who are making out like bandits. \n\nThis is why nothing is changing.

You have to separate the cause from the act. The cause is the government policy. So why is the government promoting this policy? In the Soviet Union Josef Stalin made it his policy to move populations around so that there were no national majorities anywhere. In this way he was able to suppress around 130 million for decades. And when the Soviet Union finally did collapse, it was in the areas with a national majority (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Azerbaidjan, Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kirgystan, Turkmenistan. It was no coincidence.\n\nCanada today is a dictatorship. There is no freedom of speech, no freedom of thought. Just look at what happened to the truck drivers during covid-19. Or look what is now happening to Jordan Peterson now. What is going on is unconstitutional, and it is the government who is behind it. The purpose of the migration is to change Canada into a minority state just as it happened in large parts of the Soviet Union. This is the only way that the dictatorship can stay in power - and it knows it.

Overpopulation overpopulation overpopulation makes every problem on the planet impossible to solve. We need every government in the world to have policies that encourage people to have 2 or fewer children. As the population stabilises and slowly reduces rents will be more affordable, unemployment will be reduced, pollution causing climate change will reduce, loss of animal habitat and species extinction will stop, happiness and health will increase for everyone.

It is so sad that middle eastern countries and their people believe in and run their governments by the Koran. If all of these people want it that way then they need to stay where it is the rule. If they don’t, then change it. There are many countries that would help. It couldn’t be any worse than what smugglers do to innocent humans.

Your government will NEVER listen to you. You are the great experiment. Just like the UK. NOTHING will change with the change in leadership. Because votes don't empower government. Treasury bonds do. Most people in Canada do like immigrants and try and want to accept newcomers . I am happy to see new faces younger people, people with a different outlook. However this lack of housing is a major problem for poor and lower middle class people - citizens and noncitizens. Unfortunately rents are a racket in most cities, the real estate business is full of unnumbered accounts and money laundering; Canada is full of organized crime from all over the world, we cant control foreign attempts at killing our citizen. So we can tell our government is not efficient and is doing a poor jobHowever I dont think the average immigrant is the problem and I feel they are treated like rubes by our government and taken advantage of and so are Canadians of different ethnic backgrounds who also suffer the same problems of many immigrants. That's the truth. Letting people in with out providing opportunities for jobs, housing, support is foolish and destructive to our country. Western governments bomb or coup these countries then force their population to absorb the consequences. Then they are shocked when the people get upset that their country is changing overnight. Throw in that the citizens of western nations standard of living is declining and you have something very explosive. I feel bad for the refugees thinking they are going somewhere better when that's not reality.

Justin Trudeau embraces the absurdities of progressive identity obsession and also kowtows to the cartels and oligarchs that run Canada's economy. The need for cheap labour to run the businesses essential to maintaining the fiction that the middle class is well off led to the foreign worker programs that benefit the corporate bottom line and keep the Laurentian ruling class in power. Record profits in the grocery sector riding on the coattails of price and wage fixing and price increases that have nothing to do with wholesale costs allowed the grocery cartel to more than double their return on food and beverage sales. Protectionist legislation to prevent foreign competition and protect the cartels means there won't be any substantive change under this government. Meanwhile the same government has increased the size of the bureaucracy by over 10,000 people in the last year alone while fewer and fewer actual services are competently delivered because the number of front line workers directly serving Canadians has shrunk. The longer the Junior regime is in power the worse the shock treatment will be.

This should not happen , why do they let them get away with this. You rent a place you pay or you’re out after 6 months. \nIt’s getting ridiculous how some people take advantage of owners , laws need to change to protect both tenant and owners. \nSquatters can move into your house and you have to spend money on lawyers to get them out while they live rent free. \nWake up government and pass some laws to give police the right to evict these losers.

Not to mention that Canadians have per capita one of the highest carbon footprints in the world. This is due to the extreme cold in the winter months. Most, if not all of the immigrants are moving from countries with much warmer climates and far lower carbon footprints. This shows clearly that the Canadian government is full of cow dung whenever they spout off on climate change goals.

They're welfare shopping and Vice is ignoring the root cause; illegal immigration. They just want a better life, and I understand that, but they keep backing corrupt governments and religion. And they are refugees from their own countries because those countries can't manage themselves. The West, mostly considered an enemy to these countries, is not responsible for the welfare of people who are gaming the system with no intention and / or ability to assimilate into Western society. Instead, they actively work to change them from within to suit their religions and agendas. Not to mention the spike in crime from too much immigration. Look, governments know the falling birth trajectory and they that is caused by modernity-convenience, comfort, all powered by technology. Plus they've allowed the market to monopolise housing, which depends on profit...Growth is powered by human economic activity, for the moment anyway. The short term solution is to bring in millions of immigrants to keep the show on the road. This rapidly changes the indigenous culture. The indigenous people, particularly poor working class mostly white, get resentful and angry. That is where are now.

Its time for a change in government

Let's be clear here, it started many years ago when Harper was in charge. The Conservative Government lured educated foreigners to Canada with the promise of great, high paying jobs, and once they got here, once they left EVERYTHING, including their families behind, were told they would have to go back to school in order to be certified. It's a con, the government is a con. The Conservatives, the Liberals, the NDP, the system currently in place...is nothing more than a con.\nAll politicians are liars, all governmental systems are corrupt and nothing will ever change until We The People, take their power away, destroy the current system and rebuild. It is the people who put these politicians in power, yet they do nothing for the people. \nDestroy the system...it does not nor ever has worked. Take the power back.

This reckless irresponsible government has sold the wrong Canadian dream to many already in the country. I hope the next government finds a solution and make some drastic changes to the immigration policies.

I am an immigrant myself and could not agree more with it. The government is bringing in people blindly at the cost of jacking up prices to unbelievable levels for shelter, food and so on. Jobs are taken away from locals and has been handed over to new immigrants, our students are struggling to find jobs. Crime is on the rise . It almost seems like the they gave up the immigration vetting system and are bringing in people without due delegence. This is NOT the Canada I came to more than a decade ago. It has changed and continues to change for worse unfortunately. My vote is never going to a liberal ever again. They failed this country big time

Let's face it....governments encourage immigration to tax more people. Why can't people see it?\nIt won't change unless people speak up...and now they are. It's time for a honest discussion.

********Important**********************Since I've been living in Canada for more than two years, the immigration protests you mentioned have occurred. To put it briefly, everyone moves to different provinces for PR, just like I did when I studied in Toronto for two years. The CRS score for PR is significantly higher there, and there aren't as many easy possibilities, therefore students there relocate. The protest is taking place in Prince Edward Island, where I moved a few months ago. They are protesting for the extension of their work permit and the opening of those easy PR draws, which are currently paused. I moved here in order to obtain PR, but I worry that this protest is inappropriate. Because everyone must submit a statement of purpose (SOP) when applying for a visa to Canada, and in that statement you clearly indicate that you will return to your home country after completing your studies and working there. However, if this statement is not clear, the visa officer may reject your application, stating that they believe you will not return home after completing your studies and working there. In order to avoid having our visa applications denied, we always attempt to assure the officer that we will return home. You have no right to request a PR, an extension of your work visa, or anything else if you have made this statement of purpose plain on your own. If you're thinking about moving to Canada, always make sure that the government is in charge. When I planned, getting our PR was simple, and now that they've changed the laws and regulations, they have rights as immigrants, so nobody should fight against getting PR and a work visa, etc.

This is disgusting to listen to. No country on Earth wants millions of immigrants flooding in getting welfare to the moon and being a statistic of crime cause by these immigrants. No one wants that. What makes anyone think they do? They are all going to get to vote. Just watch. They just crossed our border, got welfare better than citizens, and will get to vote. Whoever is doing this to Europe and the USA should be in jail or dealt with per the constitution for treason. Unfortunately the swamp is too much. We have too much corruption in our governments. I have no idea what it is like to be an immigrant. I can't get that perspective because I have never been one and neither has anyone in my family. But coming from my perspective this is some BS. Coming from someone who didn't have to get a work visa or apply for citizenship ever, this all seems like some BS. There wasn't this kind of migration going on when I was growing up. Where did it come from? Why is it happening now of all times? What are these people being told?
