Idk i think you need to realize that we also have our bias in addition to you having yours. Meaning, to most of us , excepting the most left leaning socially progressive pockets and contexts , which even then wouldn’t be viewed that way to us just acceptable lol ?\n\nOur baseline/political middle in Canada is A LOT more left leaning than the baseline normal/political middle in the states. So while people tend to equate your democrats to our liberals or our NDP , and equate your republicans to our conservatives. It’s just not accurate. If you throw our span of parties and American span of parties on the SAME spectrum /polarity line. You might be surprised to realize how shifted left our systems range politically is from the American one. \n\nThis hugely impacts the average normal expectation , what we clutch our pearls at hearing coming out of the mouths of the general public , and our range of what we expect to not hear or see ranted about unless they’re to our view , extremely right leaning politically /social values. \n\nFor us this means that actually genuinely , a lot of America does get experiences by us as bat shit crazy racist homophobic immigrant intolerant culturally and religiously ignorant , and somewhat backwards in larger or smaller amounts ? I know that’s not fun to hear but. Being the most diverse country based so much on immigration means. What is normal and known /familiar and normal so we aren’t ignorant to , is completely different. \n\nFor us we have our pockets usually in more rural less populated areas further away from larger cities where there is more diversity but that’s the same often in many countries that you will find some of the louder racist homophobic intolerant voices typically in places that truly are unfamiliar and ignorant to the experience of growing up with and around much of any diversity of varying kinds. So it’s not to say we don’t have racism and intolerance of course like anywhere we do. It’s just contained and the range and frequency and intensity is MUCH different. We distinguish nuances of diff cultures and religions more easily and in larger numbers we’re more familiar with diff ways of life , language , food, dress , holidays , values and used to a much less segregated way of existing even when we are differnt from each other as the NORM. My parents were both born in the states and my older brother was born there but they moved up here when he was a baby. So nearly all my extended family lives down there and I’m a duelly. And my experiences discussing things with my cousins or visiting absolutely could be described as culture shock at times. The insane things that came out of my own cousins mouths when they hear our friends or partners of various cultures , our not understanding how big a deal and incredibly insulting apparently it is to have assumed someone American was lgbt lol the list goes on. Like I don’t think our most intolerant Pockets can hold a flame to even ur closet to middle a bit intolerant places and contexts in America. I'm doing just fine in Canada, where I've lived my whole life except for 7 years in Japan. Any difficulties people having comes down to the individual, not a systematic national problem. My rent in Vancouver is under $1000, because I haven't moved in 11 years. I have no debt, no car, no expensive lifestyle, no drug habit. I made good choices. Others have not.\n\nCanada is still a land of opportunity if you get a job, get your vaccines, live within your means and don't expect a 1950s style economy, anyone can do fine. Healthcare access needs improvement, but we had a pandemic. The whole world did. \n\nIf you feel like you can't make it in Canada, you have no one to blame but yourself. Everything is relative. I’m an international student, from my perspective it seems like the government can’t keep themselves from messing with the economy, basically crippling it by regulations, making the market unable to take advantage of the increased labor supply.\n\nI have spent almost half a million in Canada, which includes tuition, living cost, and starting a business which now employs two Canadians. But because I spent one term as a part time student, I have became ineligible for PGWP, which means I have no way of staying in Canada through my own agencies.\n\nThat is a slap in the face for immigrants whove come here to settle, the fact that I have positively contributed to the Canadian economy than many Canadians ever have, while withdrawing absolutely zero from public benefits, now if I buy a house here yall will drop on me a 50%+ capital gains tax and then kick me out, why would anyone want to invest in Canada? I’m seriously considering just moving to Florida because of all these. \n\nWhat happened to the good old days when you can come here with nothing, integrate into the community, and then become Canadians? Almost none of the forefathers of Canadians had to contribute this much into the society first to become Canadians, they stayed because their peers wanted them to stay, and the market was free to adjust to the labor supply and housing demand without government interference.\n\nWhat I see is not an immigration problem, it’s a big government problem, Canadians have become addicted to the government making decisions for them. I am a 4th generation Canadian and I left for the US on a TN work visa. I love life down here and will never move back to Canada. I have a much better life. I can afford a beautiful home and a nice car and still have money left over to travel. I have a master's degree and I cannot afford to live in the People's Socialist Republic...I mean Canada.

Im a immigrant from the USA from irish/scottish descent, i have a PR and i agree with this deportation. As someone who is from the usa, the usa does not have an immigration problem. Canada does! If i get deported, i will be happy to leave if that means the bad actors who have invaded canada and ruined life for the citizens will be deported too.

Canada is building a tonne of housing as is, a bit less than in the past, so yes, issues with the growth of red tape, zoning, development taxes, etc should be addressed, but the problem has mainly been that the population has been growing at an exponential rate, in the past decade. The construction workforce actually doesn't have that many immigrants - around 77% are Canadian born, compared to 73% of the overall workforce, and I suspect the 23% that are immigrants are probably mostly immigrants that have been here a while, with very few temporary workers (which are mostly in retail/commercial services, elder care, and agriculture). That means immigration has been a bigger problem for increasing housing demand, compared to any benefit to increasing the supply through increasing construction workforce, especially when you consider that the size of the construction workforce is proportional to the total population, while the housing demand is more correlated to population growth. \n\nThere is also the differentiation between expanding infrastructure/housing supply, vs improving/maintaining it. It would not be a bad thing if we were able to shift some of the construction workforce towards improving our stormwater infrastructure, fixing roads, and building transit alternatives (improves quality of life), rather than just building more and more new roads and homes just to keep up with population growth (maintains quality of life).

I appreciate your take. I believe Canada's key issue is that it is facing a cultural decay, which is not exclusive to Canada. Many countries in the west are challenged by similar things such as aging populations and unaffordability. \n\nIt works in a cycle: governments and corporations take turns screwing over the general population and most people cannot afford anything. Corporation does A then government does B; government does X then corporation does Y. On the surface, government is _trying_ to do a good thing, but it backfires quite often, leaving the average person feeling scorned. \n\nChief among these corrective measures was mass immigration, and because there was already a climate of indignation, the introduction of too-many-immigrants was a huge slap in the face. Instead of making sure Canadians were better taken care of, the government responded to the corporations--not the people. \n\nGDP numbers mean nothing to the average Canadian person if their quality of life is in decline. The only people still in favour of mass immigration are those who do not have to confront it on a day-to-day basis. Even Canadian-born (or even Canadian Citizens of 5+ years) minorities, think the immigration problem is too much.

The viewpoint that was ignored in this video is the that of the Canadians who have been building this country for generations. The only mention of us is of one rally of defeated and frustrated Canadians, who are being victimized and displaced. Companies will no longer hire us - at all - in favour of everyone else. It's called DEI. Inclusion actually means everyone. Institutions are removing all history and acceptance of the Canadians of European descent - and calling us names like racist, transphopic etc. in order to silence us. Meanwhile, when teenagers, seniors, and every other Canadian whose families have built the luxuries that you love, are being forced into homelessness (while being called racist, phobic etc). You both seem like the quality immigrants who are welcome here. Unfortunately the majority of the bodies that have been imported here don't care at all about Canada, or the people, or the laws, or the language. They were just imported from 3rd world war torn places, and all the Canadians are being shut up. We are all being victimized; I know you're not the bad guys. But you need to know what role you are playing in this.

Canada really needs people who are committed to Canada and for whom a good life means not just money. Sad to say this there has been so much abuse of the systems here lately. How exactly do you expect me to fit in? I've spoken English and lived here since the age of 2. I celebrate Halloween and Christmas but not Pride Month, and I don’t eat Canadian food regularly. If fitting in means doing all those things, then I have questions. I thought living here meant I could eat whatever I want and celebrate the festivals I like, such as Eid or Diwali, without anyone interfering. As long as I’m not causing trouble—which I never do—why should anyone dictate how I live?\n\nBeing '100% Canadian' is impossible for me because I prefer staying true to myself. This has been my country for a long time, so telling me to 'go back' makes no sense.\n\nAlso, let’s not forget how Canada’s history involves forcing European traditions onto Indigenous people. As an International student, though I moved to Canada a decade ago initially to look for a deeper meaning in life, I still kinda felt being scammed by the Government for spending a huge sums of tuition to end up with a useless diploma which leads to unemployment . I have contributed soooo much ?for Canadian economy for the past 11 years( actually my parents paid everything), but still neither me nor my family have received any benefits from this country so far. I don’t even have a family doctor, and my family don’t even want to come here so it’s just me alone! Still, I remind myself everyday that I ‘m not here to have a comfortable life , but to grow and to learn❤. I’m happy to be a volunteer here just to help out , dispute being perceived poorly by the media and society as if I ‘m a communist spy from China coming here just to rape everyone and to spread disease. No one trusts me but I put my trust in GOD. I know GOD is watching ✝️. I think finding god is the best outcome possible for me from immigrating to Canada.

Conservatives will assemble a legal committee to revoke the status of anyone who switched from visitor, fake student etc... to permanent resident and order them deported. Trump is not joking and he will kick out millions in just 1 year because he has robust means and eager sheriffs to round them like chicken and ship them out.

Tim Hortons, Uber delivery, Uber Cabs, Petrol pumps I mean what is going on.\n\nRight now its getting to Canadians, and you need to understand that Canadians need these low skilled jobs for themselves too but employers are finding extremely cheap labour from other places to replace Canadians.\n\nSo if you ask me this move is good, it will surely hurt the skilled labour class too but its needed. Imagine have a million immigrants coming in with a country that has a population of 40 million.\n\nThe infrastructure comes to a stand still, housing is ruined, food inflation begins. \n\nHonestly thanks to Diploma mills, Asylum seekers and gangs from Punjab, its honestly gotten bad from the Indian perspective.
