Gazans have been asking to be taken in as refugees until the war ends. No one in the Arab world wants to help. They should be able to leave war if they wanted, just like Russians and Ukrainians, however the difference there is that the West supported them and offered them refugee status. The Arab world is declining to do this, perhaps out of fear that they will never leave. Which mother would not willingly leave Gaza to protect her children during wartime? It's not that they don't want to leave their land, it's that no one will take them.

Ukrainians should fight to the last ... while their land is not coveted, and Palestinians, where their land IS coveted by Israel ... should go as refugees in anothers land. \nFair and interesting point of view.

I grew up under communism, so logically as soon I got away, was looking for a free and democratic country. Back then the West and Canada was a different country/ value system. No freedom left, the restrictions on speech is worse now than under communism, also the presence of the surveillance state getting more obvious. Covid tyranny should be an eye opener for everyone. Talking about the mystery why average dead rate went up suddenly still a no-no. The best way to illustrate how bad direction Canada is heading, Ukrainian refugees are leaving Canada! I think it makes sense to temporarily remove the civilian population from a potential war zone, plenty of civilians left Ukraine no one ever said the Ukrainians were abandoning the land. These countries should be taking in civilians in.

Isn't this the same as preventing Ukrainian refugees from being able to leave Ukraine while active fighting is taking place? If neighboring countries allow safe passage to civilians, Hamas can duke it out with IDF all they want. But I understand they likely don't at all trust Israel to then let refugees return back to Gaza.

Ummmmm I don’t think some Palestinian anyone for that matter want to stay in a conflict justified or unjustified. The Arab nation should first give an open door policy for a temporary shelter or refugee like the Europeans or America did for Ukraine. This notion that Palestinians don’t want to leave for a temporary refugee is very questionable. Just open your country and see if they will not go!!! Anyone is a free country should choice to evacuate to a safer country like Saudi, UAE, Bahrain or other golf countries. Instead of giving them aid or other form of support, give them a sanctuary and if they decide not to go back, then give them other options. Palestinians should not be dictated to stay in a conflict zone special the women and children. Even African countries rich or poor, open their doors to their neighbors during war like it happen in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Uganda and you can count many!!! Recently in Ukraine, Germany, Poland and other Ukraine neighbors, received millions of Ukrainians and never have they said Ohhhhh Ukraine love their land and they want to stay in Ukraine or they will lose their land when they left!!!!! 3 Million Ukrainian refugees were absorbed by Christian/Western countries after Russia invaded. Hundreds of thousands of Afghan refugees were resettled across the world (many were taken in by Western countries.) Millions of Syrian refugees resettled in European countries. Non Arab countries really struggle to understand Arab’s view & stance on that. Because all other countries (or at least Western countries) have open doors for refugees from war zones, especially for other Christian countries. Last example Ukrainian. It’s more important to save civilians life. It’s interesting to note that Christian countries open now doors for Palestinians while their own brothers & cousins refuse for political reasons

THERE ARE favored immigrants though, Ukrainians are not hurting living here. actually they are taking Canadians jobs, even in service positions, but for a lot of students that is how they live. but when employers are offered incentives to hire an immigrant, Ukrainian for example, they may be getting subsidized wages. Febs really seem to take care of the non brown or minority immigrants. just an observation that seems to be happening more and more. it is sad for the Ukrainians because i think they don't know the silver spoon from Trudeau is handed to them. they probBLY think all immigrants have a red carpet but no not at all. not for the brown immigrants, they have to struggle like all our immigrants over past decades before Trudeau, all immigrants worked their way up here. i have just heard from young people who have suddenly been cut hours at work to make way for a ukrainian with no experience on the job to take the Canadians job
