Do native Canadians have children anymore? Can they afford to? Do indigenous Canadians agree to more immigration (colonization) of Canada?

Ah yes....my fellow residents of stolen indigenous land crying because someone else is coming here with different ways....beautiful irony. Embarassing levels of cluelessness.

The societies, culture (and indigenous peoples in Europe) are being swept aside in favour of these new settler groups, and people are sick of it. People have taken advantage of the West's open societies, generous welfare, and accommodations to different groups. But now the West is realizing that these people don't want to celebrate and join their society, they want to replace it with their own.

This has always been the deal with immigration. A Canadian citizen of British roots will come to you in 2024 complaining about immigration that made his life miserable.. forgetting that his ancestors were immigrants themselves 200 yrs ago. Did you know that the citizenship book (called: discover Canada) clearly says that thousands of indigenous and Aboriginal people died of foreign diseases brought by British/French first settlers coming from Europe.\nIf you are British complaining about immigration in the UK, this is something I'll sure understand cause the UK is your land.\nBut if you are American, Canadian, or Australian.. shut the F up and don't talk about immigration.. unless you are Aboriginal or first nations.

I like multiculturalism and this country is founded on immigration. But we need to put cap on each country when receiving them so to maintain the balance of good mix.\n\nI get bothered why this guy statistically divide white vs others. In the end this land belongs to the indigenous people none of us. \n\nAnyways, most of my friends from Western Europe, Japan, Korea and Singapore - first world nations, have already moved back after couple of years of living here. Aa a dual citizen myself, I plan on retiring in my other country.\n\nThis country has to realize if they receive massive influx of people- they need to invest and build more infrastructure. Look at Gardiner- it's constantly on construction mode. Hire more surgeons and make better family doctor system. This government only legalized marijuana and brought more problems. We used to live near Trinity bellwood and the park is now filled with used needles. \n\nAs for homelessness, it's always been there and it got worse during economic depression (2008 mortgage crisis) and current prime rate/inflation situation. Even if you study stats from government subsidized housing, most immigrants work and get out of help but the old immigrants (whites) usually don't flip out of the situation for generations. So there is no reason to tie and blame the Indians for our old problem of homeless population. Stay on point and stop tying it down with non-related issues.

And as usual nobody is talking about the indigenous population, right?

Canada isn't a nation of immigrants at all. Canadians are the descendants of immigrants the same as everyone else on the planet, including the indigenous. That is, unless your family has never left the place where humans first evolved.\n\nUnlike modern immigrants, the first white settlers in north America did not sail into an established society with power stations, health care, water and power distribution networks etc., to get the benefit of other people's hard work and investment. They started from scratch.

Now in manipur (India) immigrants from Myanmar demanding their separate state by starting violence against indigenous people( meitei) by the immigrants(kukis). Thousands of meitei are being displaced, hundreds of lives has been lost. Our generosity has put ourselves in danger now and government is not taking any action. Im urging you all take actions before its to late!

We’re opening our arms to more people because it’s the right thing to do! We’re opening our arms because there’s far more people on the planet now and there’s much more suffering. All of us had to leave our origin countries and come here for similar reasons. The only people who didn’t were/are the indigenous peoples.

Instead of focusing that rightful anger on who is really responsible for inflation, the housing crisis, and all the issues listed in this very-well made video, which are corrupt politicians, bankers, CEO's of major corporations and BILLIONAIRES AND MILLONAIRES! Rich people and politicians try to divide and confuse the public by playing into people's worst impulses such as being racist. I don't blame the protestors or people in this video who habour all this anger, I really don't. Their grievances are genuine and their anger is completely justified. However, it is misguided. When you think about it, WE ARE AN IMMIGRANT settler-colonial country. Unless you are an Indigenous person, YOU AND YOUR FAMILY COME FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE! So it is not logical for us to be anti-immigrant, when, again unless you are Indigenous, WE'RE ALL IMMIGRANTS! The public and working-class should focus their anger on who is really causing all these issues. Rich people and corrupt politicians.

Yes, I think this anti-immigration rhetoric started after the early European immigrants handed out blankets infected with small pox to the indigenous. It's all gone downhill since then. \n\nAs an immigrant without stable housing after 19 years, I can testify that the Canadian dream is dead.

Look, governments know the falling birth trajectory and they that is caused by modernity-convenience, comfort, all powered by technology. Plus they've allowed the market to monopolise housing, which depends on profit...Growth is powered by human economic activity, for the moment anyway. The short term solution is to bring in millions of immigrants to keep the show on the road. This rapidly changes the indigenous culture. What gets me is, just how many millions have just arrived in other countries in the world. Their numbers and communities exported and imported so solidly everywhere. Within 2 years here in the uk, I am sure there are now, somehow more Indians here than ALL the other groups put together. The place has no time or space to think. Blink and your place has gone. In every sense: social opportunities, place in queues job opportunities(as they set up internal networks that u are excluded from) aka as smugglers and their smuggled, housing bidding, corrupting of housing laws, benefit fraud all massive problems for local authorities and larger government overall. Unskilled US citizens will be hit the hardest. The overall unskilled labor market will keep getting oversaturated to a point where it will be extremely hard to sustain themselves. The benefits from the government will not be able to keep up with the overall inflation. Once the actual indigenous population, US Citizens, hit rock bottom you will see unrest and riots, this is unavoidable! Hitting rock bottom is the only way for people to get out of their comfort zone, until that time comes this will continue. There is a big different between kindness and being naive!!!

When the cost of US healthcare can bancrupt people, I think it should be a factor when considering how livable a country is. While good tapwater is common in Canadian cities, indigenous people may not have access to it it parts of Canada. I look at American laws and find they infringe on human rights we have in Canada.

My father was an indigenous Ecuadorian orphan in the sixties who was adopted by an American contractor. My father's feet had been in the Amazon rainforest jungle trees since his infancy and he could wear shoes because of his callouses. My father had surgery on his feet as a child so he could wear shoes. Now, my dad is an air force veteran and a very proud American. I'm very proud of my Ecuadorian heritage. God bless these indigenous South Americans and everyone who sent them well wishes here.:)

Can we do indigenous rights for Europeans?

How is it that there are still people that are completely disconnected from everyone? Reading everyone’s comments below, only shows me how many of us still cherish the simple life that the indigenous people live. How complicated we have made this life!!!!!

Id like to know if the local indigenous rights group has knowledge of them so curiosity doesn't win.

As a Canadian myself, what I don’t understand is why the heck would you want more people in country when 1 some places in Canada don’t have clean water, 2 rent/taxes are just way to high to sustain two people for food. Even the indigenous population hasn’t even had proper help in a long time. Sucks that one moment the government was helping looking at old residential schools only to stop once media stop covering it. I don’t care that they come to our country but you at the very least gotta respect our time and culture here, rather than expecting everyone to bend a knee to their needs. Just my two cents

If this get together of an indigenous tribe is very rare it means they are being cornered out of existence. They are fleeing the beasts who worship many false Gods like McDonald’s, KFC, Burger King and many more disciples of infidels that ravage our precious lands of its natural life and resources.
