I grew up in Malton (borders Brampton) in the 1980's and it was all Western European and Canadian folks and it was great. Such a sense of community and everyone knew everyone. Us kids would stay out until the street lights came on and played in Parks. It was really safe. We moved away in 2006 because the area had gone such down hill by 1999 and the crime was horrible. Stolen cars, alcohol and drug abusing Punjabi folks and the domestic partner violence of the Indian men beating the crap out of their wives was insane. (I had a friend that was a Peel Region Police officer who ended up leaving because she couldn't take seeing it any longer). I have nothing against Immigration, because my dad was an immigrant, but I do have a problem with the amount of any one country we let in, and the types of people that we let in that contribute to crime and area degradation. It's so sad the slums that have become in Brampton and Malton since we left. I'm glad we got the heck out of there when we did. I feel sorry for all those that are stuck there still. Furthermore with such an influx of immigrants into one area it has driven the house prices and rent through the roof because the pace of immigration was nowhere near the housing starts, and cities think that everyone needs to be packed in like sardines and when you have that many people living in close proximity and you have such expensive living costs it's a disaster waiting to happen and it brings along with it tons of crime and drugs. The Trudeau government really messed up this country and the GTA Cities like Brampton are a shining example of that. It's sick that we pay as much as we do for government at all levels that are this idiotic. It's time we protested in the street and made the government at all levels fear the public again or it's never going to change.

In January I flew into Toronto for my connecting flight to London but missed it. I was put up in a hotel in Brampton. First time there in 25 years. I didn’t feel like I was in Canada. I felt like a foreigner in my own country. during my 15 hours there I saw only one other non-Indian in the hotel. The restaurants, limousines to and from the airport, the drugstore and on the street - only Indians. Not one of them I spoke to had English mother tongue. One of the limo drivers came to Canada for education and told me once he got here he couldn’t get the program he signed up for and he was now in another program and as soon as he finishes this year he is leaving. He lived in Brampton and he told me he doesn’t feel safe there or in Toronto due to the crime. Interestingly he said a lot of the crime in the Indian community never gets reported to the police.

Not just Brampton, but Scarborough, On as well. Grew up in North East Scarborough, I've watched it fall into descent. I feel like a foreigner as an Indian Canadian, imagine the irony of that statement. Most of these south asians that come here are pompous, cocky and act like they own the place. They look down on the locals and treat this country like their personal clubhouse.

I'm Australian and a few months back had a debate with a Canadian on reddit who visited Australia and remarked how shocked he was at how ethnically segregated Australia is and was preaching about how in Canada everyone mixes and that Australia should learn from Canada how to integrate immigrants. Well as someone who did a working holiday in Canada he was spouting bs, you have cities like Surrey, Richmond, Burnaby, Brampton and Markham that have become mini India and Chinas in Canada. Australia might have neighbourhoods that are segregated but we sure as hell don't have cities with 300k+ people that cater to one ethnicity. I love Canadians don't get me wrong but a lot of you really need to stop with this holier than thou attitude thinking your poo don't stink.

My parents have lived in brampton for 40 years.. White middle class with 2 sons.. I'm 1 son.. I moved out of brampton 25 years ago but had to move back to look after my elderly parents.. I tried like hell to get them to move up to barrie where i was to no avail.. Now back in brampton for 6 years and what a shit whole.. I go to Walmart and i'm like the only white guy there.. Tells me what am i doing here.. Believe whem it is possible for me to get out i will be gone and never come back.. Shit hole

They are invading everywhere. Living 25 to a basement. They have large numbers and gang up on any other person or race that opposes them. They steal, commit fraud and bribes daily, drain our food banks dry and never donate a penny. They are destroying our health care system. Just recently 5 men from Brampton were arrested when an Indian dealer and his friends decided to try to scam the Great Canadian Casino Resort and got caught. They will do ANYTHING to get ahead and that means stepping on their own kind. They keep entering through School Mills and LMIA fraud and it won't get shut down, The government doesn't care and loves the money coming in. We need a leader that puts Canadians first but the future looks like a third world. English and French will soon be second and third languages.

This is not just Brampton, it’s spreading from city to city throughout Canada. White flight is in full effect and every single time 1 person moves, like 5 foreigners take their spot.

Maybe the people that aren't doing well in Brampton should take a lesson from the ones who are and take personal responsibility and change behaviors to improve there life. Why do all these Brampton Canadians look like junkies ?

Hate to say but it was part of the reason I moved away from Brampton. I was born there and it is not like when I was growing up.

I was born in Brampton, lived here until I was 7 and it really has changed. When I go there now and I open my car window it actually smells like Indian food/curry. I like Indian food but its strange to smell when you’re OUTSIDE.

Looks like Brampton is a real Brown Town. They have a brown population and a Brown Mayor.\nUnfortunately a lot of small towns are becoming brown as well. They move in and take over entire subdivisions and are buying up all the fast food joints. They're slowly working their way into politics and in a few more decades will be running the country. This is such a racist video. I live in Brampton and love living here. I enjoy the multiculturalism and learning from new immigrants to Canada. This video is very biased as he is interviewing folks right next door to the large halfway house for those in recovery. It's not like he's travelled to various parts of Brampton. Why’s the white population declining in cities like Brampton where immigrant populations are soaring? Go to an immigrant owned business, they don’t hire white people. Go to immigrant owned rentals, they don’t house white people. So why would white Canadians move to a city or area that won’t house or employ them? Even canadian universities are turning down more and more Canadian born students in favour of international students because they pay more. It’s sad to see Canadian born youth being rejected by their own country institutes. You would never see this in India or China or Pakistan.

Does Brampton smell like they do?

I truly believe this all revolves around the housing crisis. Not enough housing can be built. Canadians with options are not taking low-income jobs. It's not a survivable wage anymore. Canada's #1 GDP is Real Estate. Potential first-time home buyers are not willing to throw themselves into a lifetime debt for a weak economy. \n\nSo what does Canada do? Fill these vacancies with immigrants. Not inherently wrong, but it's a band-aid solution to temporarily pump up the numbers. \n\nImmigrants, specifically refugees are taking low-income jobs. Speak Arabic? You can easily fill your job positions for minimum wage. Just like mafia tactics in third-world countries, the government takes their passports away and they must fulfill their duties at a very low wage and very high cost of living under threat of being thrown back into a potentially war-torn country. Came to Canada as a Dentist? Doesn't matter, you need to climb the ladder again and in the meantime work as a Receptionist making minimum wage.\n\nImmigrants with money are obligated to prove themselves. Buy housing, start a business. Numerous cities such as Brampton are being filled with slums. Housing a double digit of residents in the basement at absurd costs so the landlords can afford their ridiculous mortgages and lifestyle off the back of other immigrants/refugees.\n\nThe main issue is the hate directed towards immigrants. First of all, in the video it was disgusting for the man to acknowledge that someone was wearing good clothes and asking where the refugee center is. Someone can be a refugee and still have money. That's the ideal refugee. Someone with money in a war-torn country such as Sudan are high targets and completely deserve to run away to a safe country like Canada - especially if they can afford to spend money and stimulate the economy.\n\nStop attacking the people. This is a housing crisis issue that has been so poorly managed that these deeply rooted symptoms are beginning to show.

As a South Asian living in the Uk ?? I've heard of the Desis in Canada ?? as having a bad reputation due to the smell in a place called Brampton. For FFS, learn English and integrate with the local culture. If you dont, then go back to India. It's embarrassing that South Asian to hear shit like that from other communities, not just whites..?‍♂️

We had to move out from Brampton bc it become terrible place to live. 3000 sq ft beautiful homes in nice subdivision. House next to us, 4 families in one house crowded like rats. Indian music playing laud in garage on Sundays. About 15 kids seating on top of 6 ft fence staring in our backyard. Couldn’t enjoy life anymore. Crime start to spike. Today people blame on Liberals, however that was during Conservative government of Brian Mulroney. Those immigrants destroy city. I hope they all leave Canada.

The entire southern Ontario will be like Brampton in the near future

If you move away from your home country, it takes half the time of your actual age to understand, & get used to the country you move into. \n1) Ikea also offers assembly service for which you have to pay. \n2) home owner/landlord didn’t improve noise isolation issue of their floorings. It’s normal practice of most lazy landlords who only rents their basement for reducing their mortgage cost. Or probably didn’t even know that it is doable.\n3) Employment- I am glad to see you found a skilled workplace somewhat related to your career. If you had to go through odd jobs, you would have left Canada within a month. \n4) Hospitals- Indian Government hospitals works the same way. Priorities go to life threatening patients first. But as an ex-Indian, we love spending arms and legs of money. Our loved ones survive going in private hospitals without insurance. \n5) socializing & jokes- I think you should’ve moved to Brampton so you can be part of the ghettoized community we have created there. so what day by day their crime rates are going high, we can at least understand the joke we can laugh on there. Even to buy legal weed in Canada you have to show your ID. At least that process is followed properly here.\n7) Vegetarian- if you want to follow a diet like this, all you have to request the restaurant to swap the meat with either potato hashbrowns, or if they have soya bean patties. \n8) Struggle- struggle is part of life. There is no requirement of whining about it. What do you need to be concerned is that you are getting an opportunity to go ahead, if you can’t get that that’s an issue. \n\nAnyways , I’m glad you made a video regarding your point of view on leaving Canada. one important thing i want to state is most of Indians in Canada are located in Toronto/Vancouver only with hubs in Surrey and Brampton, but this does not mean Canada is overpopulated by Indians etc. Canada only has 4-5 %of its population as Indians rest are white , asians etc. This follows a similar trend observed in other western countries like UK where there are indian majority cities.

I was here in Ontario since 1975 and to be honest I like my people. Brampton was very snowy white when I came here. We walked on egg shells with them, now we can be at ease and when in trouble we help one another. Welcome to the new comers. Just be good and this country will give back

Canada is definitely less segregated as a whole, especially Quebec. Parts of Toronto are starting to head towards US levels segregation though, mainly East Brampton (Indian) and Milliken (Chinese). But for every place like that, the Toronto area has dozens of neighbourhoods that are more diverse. Mississauga and North York are diverse throughout, as well as most of Scarborough, Ajax, Pickering, Milton, Downtown, even Richmond Hill and older parts of Brampton are pretty mixed.

Many parts of Canada already look like India and Pakistan with the native White people already ethnically cleansed. Just go to Scarborough, Ontario of Brampton.
