Trump needs to offer a tip line that pays people for reporting illegals and the businesses and landlords that hire and house them. the awards can be paid for by the fines the state can charge businesses and landlords that willing hire and house illegal immigrants.\nFine businesses and landlords $5000 per illegal found living or working on their property. And pay the tipster $500 per tip that leads to an ice arrest. The rest of the money can go towards from the fines can be used for deportation and funding ice and border patrol.

These people got the idea in there head from the Biden administration that they can just come over here and we'll take care of them and they won't have to work, pay taxes, or do anything! My sister is elderly and just getting well from cancer and she can't find or afford a place to live she is staying with people that she doesn't need to be staying with they are drug users and I worry about her. I'm sure if it weren't for the illegals she could find a place to live.

Do you think American importers will continue to import highly tariffed commodities like bananas and coffee?! Quick, Americans should stock up on coffee from Colombia ($1.5 Billion); cut flowers, bulbs, live trees ($1.6 Billion); mineral fuels, oil, distillation products ($7.2 Billion); pearls, precious stones, metals, coins ($1.9 Billion); and another 100+ products that make up another $10 to $12 Billion of annual imports. So, 50% tariffs on the total imports with Columbia would mean American importers of these goods would pay an additional $10 Billion which...of course...adds to their 'landed cost of goods' and gets passed on to guess who? The end consumer.

Lived in Canada for almost 40 years. Worked in USA for 5 years 25 years ago. I did make a lot more money in USA then, luckily, I was in my 20s and almost never seen a doctor in my 5 years in the USA. \nThank God I didn't get into any accident while there. \n\nIn general, I observed many people in the USA are not good neighbors. Simple observation, ex you drive and merge into a lane in a busy SF Bay Highway you need to fight hard to get into a lane. In BC, Canada, merging lanes is very orderly, each vehicle takes turn merging into a lane one entering from one lane and then another vehicle from another lane with respect and consideration. \nIn the USA, I think it is this brutal mentality translates into policy in health care and education, you are not responsible to help your community in any way and take while you can for yourself.

I think the reporter should do proper research. Human development index(education, job, safety, etc.) and the number of overstaying Indians are the major factors why they tend to reject a lot of applicants from India. If India could provide a better living standard, its people would tend to return and not to overstay abroad. But this is not the case. The number of Indians wanting to migrate abroad manifests otherwise. It seems like there is a scarcity of resources in India. No wonder they are shocked that people abroad give tips for a service.

Out of control immigration drives up the cost to buy and rent houses, same issue here in Australia.\nWe can't builld enough houses in Australia to meet the demand. Many building companies went out of business when the price of materials increased but their contract price couldn't.\nCashed up immigrants who can afford higher prices effectively drive locals away from places to live. Homelessness is increasing in Australia.\nThe government then tries to build more social housing and pays the builders higher prices than a person building a private house can afford, which continues to increase the construction cost spiral. We now have $1M+ houses being built for people on welfare who only have to pay a maximum of 25% of their income, and that income is given to them by the government. People are better off being unemployed and living off government benefits and housing than to have a job paying less than $100k/yr.

Hire Canadians with skilled labour first, offer a wage that allows already Canadians can live on before worrying about offering jobs to immigrants and/taking in immigrants for the jobs.

Pretty much all of Canada is like this. If you’re brown they’ll hate you for working hard and making an honest living.
