I love the USA. But I am all in for Canada. Trump is a bully like Putin. The only way to deal with a bully is to stand up to them. Trump is a weak, selfish man and a liar.

Trump is not the US and his behavior is not in the best interest of the US. He is the president because he is a skilled con man. However, narcissistic bullying tactics do not work forever as long as there are people with a modicum of intelligence and self respect. He’s trying to be a bully to get his way because it worked for him in the past. He’s is using his position to bolster himself financially and his ego. Everyone should stand up for themselves to include those in the US.

I’m proud of the Canadian leaders, who are kind and care about the well being of Canadians, and the world, Canadian leaders who are respectful, and don’t bully the less fortunate countries, I’m so proud of the Canadian leaders, the Canadian leaders who aren’t bullies, and are well educated, unlike US leader Trump.

I am an American and I support Canada and Mexico for fighting back. The only way to win with this bullying regime in America is to be strong and punch back. The Felon does not understand diplomacy. As an expatriate Canadian living outside of Canada for 40 years I have always been proud to be Canadian. Today I am 5 fold proud of my country and prime minister who have shown an intelligent but firm response to an adolescent bully.

Get'em Trudeau! As an American I am appalled and pissed at the sh*tshow that is the current administration. And the last few in the last few decades. My country has always been a bully and we have fought hard to try and evolve, but obviously the level of education our society has has gotten worse and worse because we allowed ourselves to be ruled by capitalism and the wealthy elite instead of democracy and unity and understanding.

It is abundantly clear trying to work with Trump gets you nowhere he sees movement towards his demands as weakness typical schoolyard bully behaviour and as we all got told when we were young you stand up to bullies. Is it possible that this is all about access to critical minerals - which Canada and Ukraine hav in abundance. America has form in creating a pretence to go to war to protect access to cheap oil. But in the past these wars were against arab nations and so the West found it easy to 'other' and accept the need for war. Now America under Trump is hoping to secure critical minerals (modern day oil) - but because they are allies he cant start an outright war. So hes doing it through trade. This is old form for America. When looked through this lense is not so difficult to understand. The big question is will the west allow him to bully western allies - democracies to be bullied into submission?

As a Canadian I’m still not clear on how counter tariffs help Canadians? Won’t this just make things more expensive for us? Shouldn’t we just realign our allies for imports/exports? I have so much respect for the Canadians! You do what you have to do to protect your country, it used to be the American way too!
