Well this is happening in the whole world !\n\nUncontrolled mass influx of wealthy people and foreign investment has triggered the housing crisis we are facing.\n\nIt is not only immigrants but wealthy international students too, coming with whole families and able to pay whatever it takes to rent the the house they want. \n\nThey have inflated rents to the point that young Canadians can no longer fulfill their dream of owning a house as their parents did.\n\nThe first step is to turn off the immigration flow and start building bungalows, which people can afford to buy, as was done in the post-war period.\n\nNo more bullding luxury condos or townhouses. Young Canadians need something affordable to be able to leave their parents' homes.

It's a complicated situation, sad and painful but we can expext the EU to solve and take on all the issues of the arab world when arab countires are not making an effort to help there people.\n\nChange need to happen in order to help those who wants better life but it can not fall on a few countries.

We have exactly the same thing happening here in Australia, and the World Bank remittance figures for last financial year have just been released. Net CASH OUT OF AUSTRALIA FROM INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WAS A RECORD $10.6 BILLION OUT OF THE COUNTRY. From 736,000 international students currently here. They pro ide absolutely no benefit to the country except for the wealthy land owners and politicians working hand in hand with multinationals all to reduce wage growth and remove the middle class.

But Canadians keep voting for the same politicians who have allowed this to happen so I guess they like their country turning third world economically and demographically.

The problem here is not that they will not assimilate to Canadian ways, but that they will. \n\n(2) Housing: with 500,000 new immigrants a year, housing starts cannot keep pace. The result: ever-inflating housing costs. Rich immigrants compound the problem. \n\n(3) Suburbanization: most of the new housing in Canada is in highway suburbs (over 80%), with their car-driven way of life. Once again, this is bad for the country’s ecological health. In addition, the result will be ever-growing geographies of nowhere. We will not be creating more Victorias or Quebec Cities. We will be creating more Surreys. \n\n(4) Downward pressure on the incomes of most people: the law of supply and demand is very simple: when there is a surplus of any commodity, that commodity becomes cheaper. When a commodity is scarce, its value rises. Labor is a commodity. Workers rightly do not want there to be a surplus of labor. Their livelihoods are threatened. \n\n(5) Future care of the old: the more people we add now, the more people we will have to take care of later, when their working lives are done. Adding immigrants now to pay for the care of the old is therefore a pyramid scheme. Eventually, in a generation or two, the population of the world is set to decline, and the well of immigrants will run dry. Canada should aim for fewer, rather than more, retirees – as preparation for that coming moment.

I thought of moving to Canada too, but it felt really impractical. Canada is expensive, even to locals. This is what you get when you prioritize corporations over people, making the rich richer, and poor poorer. High rise condominiums bought by tax-evaders, and money launderers from all over the world, instead of livable communities. Happens almost everywhere in the world. I think everyone needs to live simpler, live in the province, or work from home, the cities are really getting unlivable nowadays, full of greedy corporations constantly fed by their cousins in the ranks.

I can't help but think that the phrase 'a country of immigrants' is just a sneaky way of saying 'a country of colonialism'. I dont know that much accountability or reconciliation has happened in Canada over the last 300 years. It began with governments and corporations doing whatever they wanted and could do to make money and extract resources off of this land (regardless of whom it affected), and continues to be just that. The increase of immigrants is largely, as far as I know, being used to a) bring in more revenue and economic stimulus (which is more and more ending up in the hands of a few very wealthy families) and b) fuel the labour force of large corporations that would rather soak the profits up themselves, hire low-wage PR or temporary foreign worker labour, than pay Canadian residents properly to work those jobs. I love immigrants, have many 1st gen immigrants friends, and think they do bring a lot to Canada. We all do, as we were all immigrants at some point. At the same time, the immigration system is very complicit in looking at immigration as a resource in aiding those rich families/ corporations in colonialism, and you could argue that this overreliance is abuse of the immigration system. Certainly, we have seen this with colleges. This feels especially true over the last several years with huge jumps in immigration numbers with growing inequality for long term residents. So the result is a very quickly changing world that is not helping many Canadians feel more secure about their future, which is a recipe for unrest. Am I wrong? Genuinely I am looking to have an open discussion here!

Combine that with the weakness and corruption this administration has shown the last 4 years and it's created a soft, unmotivated, and divided country. As a Canadian - the immigration tom-foolery that is happening is just as bad up here. Our Prime Minister is a handsome idiot, he was a drama teacher before he became Prime Minister (I know, make that one make sense). He has no idea what he's doing, he's being used as a puppet for more experienced extortionists-erm-politicians. With the help of his party members and a coalition with another party, in less than ten years he has taken Canada from a great place to visit and live to basically what's happening in NY. Crime in our cities has gone up dramatically. Theft is on the rise. Homelessness and drug use is through the roof. Immigration is out of control. And our government also prioritizes immigrants and asylum seekers before born and raised Canadian citizens. As a Canadian who is tired of the nonsense that's been happening in the world this past decade, I wish our government would put on their big boy pants and do something about this uncontrolled immigration. Things are bad here too. Our government seems to keep changing policies and laws to further accomodate the insanity that is happening, I promise, not every Canadian wants these changes to happen. We are just as sick and tired of all this nonsense as our American cousins. I wouldn't be surprised if both countries at some point united in objective and worked together to fix this problem - but that's not gonna happen anytime soon as long as these dummies are in power. But believe me, the regular people of Canada see what you're going through because it's also happening in our own back yard. In NYC, migrants from South America can go to 800 2nd Ave Manhattan and go up to the 2nd floor to the Embassy and get papers filled out, get a passport, get your reloadable debt card, medical, schooling, housing voucher and live like a king for a few months. Over 200 line up every morning here and several hundred a day go through to get this. Can we be mad at the migrants, NO. Though I can be mad at the government for allowing and promoting it. When I got leukemia from the job the utility company fought Workers comp and stopped my pay to starve us out. I ended up homeless with a wife and 4 children. All social services in NY could do was offer us $13 a day per child for food allowance and nothing more. We couldn’t even get Medicare. The food allowance was only for 7 days. It’s a disgrace how citizens are treated. Come here illegally and they offer you the world. These politicians need to be voted out. Social services was developed to help those citizens in need and it’s not happening. People need to realize that government contractors (usually family of politicians) are hired to help these “migrants” . These contractors even from the UN are in Panama helping migrants get here. If you research it you will get angry for sure. My elected officials in Northern NY know what’s going on and are behind it, they don’t even hide it.

With what's happening now in this world. We need to make it mandatory military service for the migrants, illegals etc, we will need reinforcements anyway. Take the case of Britain as an example. This leads to feeling of resistance and then uproar among the natives. Which is already happening there and so is in France. The blunt truth is that the majority of ostensible international students from India coming into Canada happen to be from the state of Punjab and are Sikhs. The state of Punjab is the educational dregs of India as it is mostly agricultural. What is happening is this influx of so-called students from Punjab are in fact hooligans and come to Canada in the guise of being students. But are in fact here to become permanent residents by hook or by crook. This phenomena is a recent development since 2020-21. Prior to that the students who came to Canada from India were genuine students that is why Canada did not see the problems from so-called international students from India prior to 2020-21. Canada really needs to screen carefully for both academic credentials as well as English language facility. These so-called international students cannot speak basic English. How in the world are they going to actually fare in Canadian post-secondary education let alone at University level. Canada is now facing an influx of these hooligans and they ALL need to be deported back to India.

Isreal has proposed a two state solution and was rejected. The Palestinians want Isreal and that's not happening. So it is what is is. Isreal will make Gaza uninhabitable and this will no longer be an issue. If the Arab world pushed Palestinians into excepting a two state solution this would be an entirety different situation. I went back to India and came back again in 11 months. \nOnly digital payment system is a plus. \nPpl are still peeing on the wall , basic necessities like water is a problem, traffic is crazy, garbage, rats everywhere, literally stinks in rainy season, if an accident happens,help won’t be able to reach on time. \nThese days mostly both parents are working, and outsourcing their home chores including cooking. Banks in India will lend them money to come to Canada, they buy their IELTS results. 99.9% of all the students I dealt with who got caught cheating on their exams were from India.\n\n- The people we are receiving in Canada are members of a separatist movement. Punjab people need none of it, and Punjab fathers are selling their daughters to strange men, so the family can move to Canada together.\n\n- Statistics Canada often talk about how our population is aging: However, they do not disclose how many of these aging population is due to Indian nationals bringing their parents and grandparents with them. If we got a million Indian people in the past years, that would mean around extra 4 million people over 50 years old. That’s 10% of the entire population. \n\n- They are scammers. You said yourself: To be eligible for a mortgage , you need to make at least $250k per year. They are landing in Canada with no money, and buying houses right away, because they have a network of people forging financial documents, and the also have people infiltrated in banks to approve these processes. The DEI department of my company approved a Punjab manager, and now more than half of the staff is Punjab. I moved to Canada for a better life, and I have fully adapted to this country, and I’m resentful that this government allowed these people to slowly turn Canada into India. I got the feeling polls are wrong. It's happened before in the western world. Look at the Brexit vote. If a high voter turns out occurs Labour might lose the election and Conservative and Reform UK may form a government together. Not likely but still possible on the margin.
