I am ashamed to be American today… and have been ashamed every day since January 20th. Canadian friends, please know many of us stand with you and NOT our authoritarian administration!!! ?????

I'm Danish - we have a big movement in Denmark to boycot American goods. The US has failed in so many ways. They will learn - perhaps to late - what the price is. In the mean time I urge people around the world who supports Ukraine, Mexico, Canada and Europe - who supports the right to freedom - to buy goods from each other. Lets join together with Japan, Australia, South Korea etc - let's show the US that YES, they were important - yes they WERE the leaders of the free world - but they lost the right to that title the moment they selected Trump for president again. Let's show them what real bravery is and what real freedom is!

Like many Americans, I am embarrassed by King Trump.

Many americans might want to move to Canada because of Trump's authoritarian ambitions. Aligning with Putin, Trump will seek to learn more about how to be an effective dictator and kleptocrat.

To anyone that isn't an American: our president does not represent all of us. Many of us are vehemently against this ridiculous person in office, and understand if other countries need to step away from us because of this nonsense.

Canadians, I know you guys invented most the stuff on that list Geneva made. Know this, there are many americans that hate this too. If you can, target Trump as much as you can. We understand anything else.

I almost forgot what an actual leader sounds like. It's sad that so many of my fellow Americans let fear mongering and hate take root in their psychy to the point they thought a barely literate megalomaniac was the best choice to lead the country. This is one of the rare being black in this country is a benefit. We're used to being overburdened and neglected, so it's nothing new to us. But, everyone else is in for a rough ride. Good luck.

As an American, I wish Canada and Europe godspeed. There are too many morons ready and willing to trade away our freedoms and republic for promises of authoritarianism. If the world does not want to deal with an American dictatorship, it must act now. The masses in America have been insulated from the consequences of their decisions for too long. Appeasement will only lead those masses to believe that these tactics work.

Yes, the number two in the Oval Office is Pence, and his words often come across as cheap, bullying tactics. Instead of offering real leadership or thoughtful discussion, he uses language that tries to intimidate and put others down. I am a patriotic American. I apologize to Canada for what Trump has put Canada through and what he intends to do to Canada in the future. All I can say is that there are many people who wish Trump out of office and are doing what they can to achieve that end. So sorry Canada. I hope one day you can forgive Americans for allowing this monster to seize and exercise the power of the presidency.

I never thought that in my lifetime I would see, as I do now, the once might USA become a vassal state of Russia. How the mighty have fallen! What makes it worse is that the (new) US leader is in no way responsible to the US electorate and is a War Criminal as recognised by the International Criminal Court. President Putin is his name.\n\nLuckily, many Americans quite like this state of affairs.

Good for them, they should raise those tariffs to double what they are right now. Make US pay! These policies are not what many Americans voted for ?

As an American, I am ashamed that my country somehow chose to re-elect this ghoul and his circus train of hangers-on. God bless you. I wish you and the rest of the free world the best. Just know that the many (likely the majority) of us down here now oppose and revile him as well.

Donald Trump is a complete buffoon. There are many Americans that feel the same and stand by Canada.

We will survive because we are united as one. We have great leaders leading this war. We will survive. Many Canadians are doing their part by not buying American goods anymore. God protect our brave nation. Thank you, Prime Minister and Premier Ford.

I think these words mean nothing, one shoudl look at actual data. There have been a tremendous imbalance between the US and most of the world. US produces so much, have so many resourcers but could not compete. Instead, they were forced to open operations in foreign countries, which does not benefit US taxpayers. You like it or not, US was on a downhill if other countries would not agree to make American products competitive.

Many have been deceived into believing that these men had the US people in mind as they came to power and it has been greatly proven that all Trump and Musk care about is strong arm power to become something anti American. Donald Trump should be seen as the highest risk to our national security today. He wants to weaken our country not make it great, harming our allies opens us up as a target for our enemies. \n\nCanada, beautiful nation, the US American people are so sorry, you have done nothing to earn this treatment. Boycott US goods, use any power you have to fight back against wannabe dictator Trump. Ukrainians, we are so sorry. The greater US People do not want this and we do not want Trump. \n\nUS people, keep boycotting these oligarchs while they leisure, don’t let them rest in peace, they don’t deserve it. We are the ones who are paying while they vacation and dine on our dimes, stolen from us.

As an American of many who did not vote for Trump, we stand with our neighbors in Canada!

American citizen, disabled, LGBTQIA, and have lost many friends and most family members because of Trump. Struggling to survive this nightmare as I stand with our allies Canada and Mexico (and Ukraine).

I just thought about something that many of us forget. There are thousands of Americans that go to Canada for cheaper medicine because they can’t afford it here. They will likely be hurt by all this BS.

As a proud US citizen who loves her country, I am disgusted over so many actions of Trump/Vance/Musk that display a lack of care for the American people and a disdain and arrogance for other nations such as ?? With those profits included, I'd bet Canada is the nation with the imbalance not in its favor...
