I'm no fan of Trudeau but... Compare this to Trump it's night and day. He looks young and healthy, talks eloquently and is intelligent. But Americans rather prefer an 80 year old obese criminal who paints his face orange and knows like 50 words. It would be funny if this didn't have horrible consequences for the whole world.

I don't like Trudeau, but this speech was great. Intelligent when he needed to be, simple when addressing Trump. A strong start to this trade war which as he said, we don't want. I hope along with Ford we hit America where it hurts. Reduce efforts at the border and let the foreign immigration, crime and drugs flow south into the USA. It's no longer our responsibility to protect their back.

As a Canadian, I may not have agreed with everything Trudeau has done in the past 9 years. However he’s handled this American threat with class and dignity and I’m proud of our response. American/Canadian relations will never be the same. After all of this is over, there is a lot of apologies and healing that has to happen before we can even start thinking about rebuilding this relationship.
