I think finally Canada realized that if they have friend like US then they don't need any enemy. You can't trust US at all and need to start open your market for global trade. Yes it will be painful few years for Canada but when time will come for fresh water and Arctic resources, it will be payback time to US. Forget US and start shipping products to Europe, China and India. Why didn’t the USA just ASK Canada to remove their tariffs instead of just putting the reciprocal tariffs in place? Or Canada could just remove their 10% tariffs when the USA implemented theirs on condition the we remove ours immediately?

I just hope president Trump is able to put tariff like penalty on American companies that are outsourcing jobs and leaving American job less. Trumps playbook is easy to read. He puts down the economy with tariffs, buys millions of stocks when they are cheap and then he stops the tariffs saying Mexico and Canada have successfully stopped fentanyl. Economy goes back up and he just got richer on all of your backs.
