As an American, I am appalled by Trump’s actions. I, for one, agree that his reasons for imposing tariffs is a lie. I strongly disagree with his blatant disregard for America’s allies. There is NO justification for aligning the US with Putin. If he thinks Putin has our interests in mind, he is crazy! Before it’s too late, I hope that his cabinet, the house, and senate realize that they can no longer support a president who does not support our interests as a country.

Trudeau I am sorry but no one can make sense of what the Orange one does!! We understand. We liberals are aware of the damage that this administration has and will do!! I am Sorry as an American and hope that you can forgive the people who decided to cause all of this terror!!!??

Falsedeau thinks Trump gives a s**t what he says. NOT!! This guy will be gone hopefully sometime in March. His soon to be replacement is very conservative! He and Trump will get along just fine. I believe most Canadians are fed up with falsedeau.

We must use peaceful means to and pressure on our politicians to become more vocal in our concerns.

Good to see someone standing up to Trump when so many politicians are scared of confronting him. I really hope Canada isn't too badly affected by the weird economic strategies of Trump. I hope the people of the USA aren't too badly affected either.

I am wondering if Fox is gonna show this speech, and how about Newsmax and, the other one that I right now don't remember, I really hope the Americans who voted for trump see how a real leader talks and behaves and I also hope that people realize that this president is hurting every single American Citizen, these tariffs will not help our country it will make it so much harder for every person in The USA to make a decent living. Why is Trump hitting our friends and helping Putin? I hope someone will research where Trump's secret bank account is located......the BILLIONS Putin and Musk have already given Trump. Trump has already sold the USA to both these men.

Is it possible that this is all about access to critical minerals - which Canada and Ukraine hav in abundance. America has form in creating a pretence to go to war to protect access to cheap oil. But in the past these wars were against arab nations and so the West found it easy to 'other' and accept the need for war. Now America under Trump is hoping to secure critical minerals (modern day oil) - but because they are allies he cant start an outright war. So hes doing it through trade. This is old form for America. When looked through this lense is not so difficult to understand. The big question is will the west allow him to bully western allies - democracies to be bullied into submission?

I will say the opinion that is dominant in my country: Ex President Joe Biden was not the sharpest knife in the drawer because he is of a respectable age, but he was a smart politician, he respected his neighbors and the all of Europe respected him. Trump destroyed everything in one month, he acts like Putin by attacking his neighbors. We are stand with Ukraine and Canada. I hope one day to visit Canada for incredible natural beauty.
