True asylum seekers who need this benefit can never afford their travel all the way to USA. It is those folks who can benefit and should from the program, not the ones who lie, pollute and could care less about hard working Americans that are law abiding tax paying citizens. A country should always take care of its citizens first before another counties citizens. Other countries should care for their own citizens and their problems, not the USA.

I say people who migrate here legally should get housing and free stuff at first to get them started - but - people who come here illegally should be subject to extremely harsh punishments - up to and including chain gang, hard labor on a prison island somewhere. And if their home country doesn't want them back - they might be stuck on the island a long time. \nDO THAT - and you will change people's calculation about coming here illegally. Unskilled US citizens will be hit the hardest. The overall unskilled labor market will keep getting oversaturated to a point where it will be extremely hard to sustain themselves. The benefits from the government will not be able to keep up with the overall inflation. As a Canadian I truly belive our gov in canada is next level incompetent and they don't think immigrants are a problem at all, if not a solution cause we have to give everyone the benefit of the doubt for some reason, indians are our second most common race as well as very much involved with our politics and police even though about 7 years ago there wasn't a single Indian in canada hardly. We also get mostly low grade migrants without much education and are advertising heavily to India and Africa to come start a life in canada for some fucking reason even though where I live average wages are about 45k and average rent is 2.2x higher then 8 years ago and most groceries are about 40 to 80% higher since trudeau got elected too and you make less money often times here for the same jobs so all that probably contributes a lot too to why this is happening

I live in US and the laws keep changing all the time so it's hard to tell what's gonna happen. There are possibility that when you first started your studies the laws maybe in your favor but by the time you graduate the laws and job market will be changed if you are lucky your future is bright or else you will be deported making your life worse

Your research for healthcare system is not accurate. If we talk about some special cases like gynaecologist you don’t have to wait for such long time as you mentioned in your research in this video……. For common cases u definitely have to wait for it but for sure not for these emergency cases…… and if we talk about life and expenses it will definitely be hard for people who are not educated well, who don’t have any skills.. but if you are well educated and you have skills you can earn as much as you want to….. \n\n\nIf you are well educated and have skills you can afford anything and have best life … And all about drugs even if government made them legal it’s upto you that you are using them or not….. nobody will force you to take them….

As a Canadian, I do not find myself or my neighbours resenting immigrants but rather the lack of social planning (housing in particular) that is behind part of this immigration policy. Several new immigrants are leaving Canada within 5 years, finding it too expensive and hard to get ahead, estimates range up to 30%. At the same time many of these new immigrants are the hardest working and doing some of our lowest payed jobs, go in to Tim Horton’s and you will see.

People who live in Canada for mote than 10 years their stories are different. They settled everything during that time and live happily. However, these people feel the pain of the country's condition but they are in good shape. Unlike people who moved recently, its very hard and not worth to settle in this country. USA is slightly better in some situations but all over its depends on person's situation and time. \n\nMoving out because someone is going, its not a good approach. Do your own research and if its not worth it then don't go out. There might be other countries which offer better options.

People are paying life long EMI till death.\n- Teachers focus more on Private tutions to make money. If you don’t take lessons from them, they will fail you in education system \n-Government doctors more focus on Private practices than their Government jobs. Everything in this video is 100% true, I have been living in Vancouver since 2016. Medical is not free it comes with a cost that is time, friend of mine needs heart surgery and has been put on wait list. The part i hate the most is these drugees are given drugs and support from government from my taxes, I work hard to earn money and dont do drugs but someone else is given it for free.

Bro, No one said to deport students. It depends upon the students. They give 3 years of work permit after completing your 2 years of study. In that time students have to work hard in full time job after. Also, your job comes under certain skills they you can easily get PR. Also about the GIC amount you mentioned was recently changed to $20,000. Before it was $10,000. Also, Canada allows you to work part-time while studying.

Some facts are true but honestly its not that bad.. people do qualify for mortgages with 80k income as well.. may be a smaller house.. and the point where they mention we will pay debt for the rest of our life think of the time when our parents took loan to build houses in india and they paid a debt as well. As a Canadian I agree that Canada is no longer a great place to immigrate to. I disagree that it is due to racism (my parents were immigrants) but now the cost of living is too high due to shortage of housing supply and inflation. Salaries have not kept up. Immigrants do have a much harder time gaining employment in high skilled jobs especially if their English is not PERFECT. And local governments have not prepared the infrastructure to handle the massive amount of immigration that the government has accepted over the years. Our schools and health care systems are overwhelmed and stressed to the point where 1/4 of people don’t have a family doctor and getting into even a public school has become competitive. \n\nThis is not the Canada I grew up in or thought my kids would grow up in. It’s hard even for Canadians to survive and immigrants coming here without a 6-figure salary job will struggle to survive.

I’m also from Canada, everything stated is very true. Education is not that great as compared to what fees we pay, think again before coming. Job currently isn’t available. Part time is also hard. In part time, you will earn to complete your housing and accommodation allowance but will not able to collect for your college fees. Just count it yourself, $17.5 per hour is minimum wage and for 24 hours per week. Also minus taxes from it. If you are planning somewhere near Toronto or Vancouver, please stay way. You can try going New Brunswick either. It’s cheaper as compared.\n\nHowever, did you notice something about all the commonwealth countries, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK, etc etc. they all are facing the same problem. So, hold on your horses. Research before going. People do go different countries, might be Japan, and other countries. I would say India has the overall better & dynamic healthcare system. Comparing to healthcare facilities in western nation, in India the waiting time to consult a specialist, even a super-specialist is too too low, maximum a week waiting time. Easy accessible, low waiting times also associated with few cons like, people don't respect the doctors, healthcare system. The prime example is rising trend of abuse and physical assault to doctors in India which is hardly seen in any western countries. Nowadays Central govt funded Ayushman Bharat and many state funded universal health care schemes/ insurances also benefiting the patients, giving them access to get treatment in top private hospital without paying from own pocket. Indian healthcare is not perfect, may not the best but its towards better and bent towards the affordability.

We're not dealing with a surge in balanced immigration drawing from a balanced global demographic. That's nearly universally agreeable amongst Canadians and it likely will never change because Canadian itself is not an ethnic identity but an identity built around shared values. We are, in real time and in nearly every city across the country, experiencing solely a surge in Punjabi immigration. They tend to congregate into tight communities, stack houses with up to 10-15 people in hardly adequate living conditions, and then disproportionately and even sometimes exclusively hire or provide tenantship to people based on ethnicity. Not admitting that would be wilfully ignoring the obvious. Canada is exceptionally inviting of immigrants, especially when they try to integrate and join the broader Canadian society. This recent surge of immigration has been different. Everyone can feel it. It doesn't feel like people are coming here anymore, as much, to join and enrich the country but instead just to enrich themselves and create completely separate, ethnically segregated groups. I prefer when the boundaries between groups to associate and co-operate are as open and mutually beneficial as possible. My family came here and now we are entirely embedded into Canadian culture and fully identify with the Canadian values.

This country gets what it deserves. I am also an immigrant and work on business intelligence. Have a degree and pay my taxes yet having pr is extremely difficult. Literally people without education who come as refugees or students get way better treated and advantages. However if you are a professional trying to work here you will have a hard time.

use to work 8 hours a day here and i was able to afford life, in now working 10-12 hour shifts and i hardly afford bills, i don’t even know what a vacation is , my only vacation i ever had in this Country was in 2015 when i went to mexico for a week. it’s just work work pay bills and work , that’s how most people live in this Country, it’s almost better not work in canada and make 8-10 kids and live of those benefits ..:: it’s what most immigrants do at least they have time for themselves

Vancouver real-estate is essentially a money laundering operation for rich foreigners looking to stash their money somewhere. Protections were put in place a little to late back in 2016 with the foreign buyers tax. But honestly most of these foreigners can either be exempt from this tax with their citizenship loop hole (anchor baby) Or honestly they just pay the fine since they can afford it and just need to get their money out of the country they are coming from. Its quite dystopian because building more homes like the government keeps promising isn't going to solve the problem either. This is because its just going to add more to the volume of housing that the foreigners can buy up from the locals and adding more fuel to the problem. Immigrations Canada is lying to new comers. To top it off, BC just recently passed a law in 2024 where you can no longer build single family residences in the lower mainland area. WHERE are the families going to go then? Can anyone even afford a family anymore? Vancouverites like myself who were diligent and saved every penny are walking away from mortgages in droves because who wants to lock into a 30 year term amortization period where at rate plus prime your looking at 5.5%-7% where the bank makes more than double in interest from you. Over the course of 30 years you still lose because even if your property appreciates past double. Capital Gains will take into effect. Your loosing money no matter what! It truly is a nightmare designed to enslave you financially. This is simply wealth creation suicide. Came from immigrant parents in the 1990s, I slaved for 10 years during my twenties, didn't come from wealth, didn't party, didn't have fun, studied hard, and started a business and I still cant break into the Vancouver market. So I ended up just barely squeaking into the market in Abbotsford. Vancouverites as a whole are screwed. Time to pack up and move to Alberta I suppose. I will also preface by saying that most of BC is empty and that it would make sense to built outside of the Vancouver area as Vancouver has now basically become fiscally unlivable. I came from France back in 2015 whith my familly when Harper was still prime minister at the time , really I'd say things have been really great , my family and I have worked hard to get to where we are today and have always wanted to give back to our community here but I am disgusted to see in 2024 what Trudeau has done to the country and to see that immigration is no longer as prestigious as it used to be. Unlike some people we have today, I had to wait 3 years with my family before receiving approval to move to Canada (after so many exams, appointments and waiting times). I did my middle school here until college and I'm currently still looking for work in correctional and when I see that people arrive here afterwards without being permanent residents, who are literally flooding spots at colleges/university and also jobs that are normally open for young canadians in their 15-16 (When I was in high school, my first job was at a McDonald's, and without exception, everyone there was Canadian. Today, when I go back to the same McDonald's for a cheeseburger every now and then, the entire staff is nothing but Indians) .As a person with an immigrant background, I'm the first one to say that there's a very big problem in Canada, and that current immigration, mainly from India, is no longer for economic reasons but to reunite families.(They do not, and will never, assimilate into Canadian culture.)Now that I've grown up in Canada for almost half my life, I'm already thinking about either returning to France or start over somewhere else if nothing changes.\n\nThe Trudeau government, uncontrolled immigration, dangerous idelogies from extreme far left idea, rising unemployment, and economic misery getting worse every day , gradually pushes me away from the country I love, Oh Canada.

I don't know.... I live in Montreal and I don't see recent newcomers as poor victims (I'm talking about most immigrants applying for refugee status) . \nWhy? \n1. In order to reach North America , one has to either cross the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean or cross huge chunks of land from Central or South America .... and that's really expensive. In Europe, since the coast of Africa is very close to Europe's , boats full of destitute and desperate people might be the norm. Not in North America. \n2. most of those guys arrive in North America looking for work \n3. most newcomers do possess smart phones and they know how to use them. They have their own network of friends and they're always on the lookout for good opportunities. \n4. most newcomers are very, very mobile. If they're having trouble finding work in Montreal and they need truck drivers somewhere else.... they'll go there . A new hospital needs aid personnel? They'll be there ready for hard work. \nThe positives ? They're probably working , making money and paying taxes. \nThe negative side? They're for the most part economic immigrants. It seems to me like most will have a hard time convincing immigration judges that they are actually refugees (economic refugees? if you will? ). \nMy take ? The way Federal Government deals with immigration should be changed. I believe that if immigrants already work here and are taxpayers... they should have working visas (at least temporarily). \nUndocumented criminal caught in the act of committing a crime? Immediate deportation (and I know this is obviously a lot easier said than done). \nMore airport screening at the entrance and more border security.

When i was growing up there where mainly WHITE CANADIANS with a few blacks ands there were respectful back then Now it is hard to find a WHITE person .everything but now. Time for me to leave my once Amazing Country

The worst part is they take advantage of the governments loopholes, they don't respect Canadian culture... and like one of the interviewees said, they are only accepting their kind in workplaces. Lived in Mississauga for 30 years, never use to be like this. One more thing I need to get off my chest... as a renter myself, its becoming increasingly hard to find housing. If I find an ad that looks good, 80% of the time it asks for punjabi only, gujarati only, vegetarian only.... how is this legal?

International students and other immigrants contribute greatly to Canada’s economy. The government knows that that's why they were asking for so many immigrants to come here. How come one minute they had a goal 1.5 million immigrants then the next minute immigrants are the problem? Theyre just using immigrants as a scape goat instead of fixing the housing problem. Immigrants work very hard and pay a lot of taxes and the international students pay 4 times the tuition as Canadians so they are boosting the economy. Maybe the Canadians living on welfare are the ones who should leave because they are not contributing to the country.

It wasn't like this 8 years ago and there's so many people of a certain demographic that outnumbers the others. Now, it's really hard to find a part-time job as student and our healthcare system is plummeting as well. Why we keep accepting them when we can't even afford to help our own citizens? This current government needs to step-down now; we don't speak for them. The fact that these people are able to rally in our country is absurd and they don't even have the rights in our country. This shows how weak the Canadian law is. They don't respect us and they mock our system.
