This is pretty funny. I'm Canadian and my best friend is an economist working for the government on demographic issues full time. Just has an FYI canada has seen its highest immigration rate in the past 50 years last year. I can also see and feel all the immigrants moving in the job market. I'm not so sure why those videos keep being produced. This country is not perfect but it's better than many other places in the world. For example, canada is barely affected by climate change because we already have resilient infrastructure. When it comes to housing it's not so much that the governement does not allow for more building than the fact that it's hard to build affordable homes because the homes in canada require a lot of work due to the nature of the climate. (Has a trained carpenter and GC I know.) It's also very far from all of the world's chaos. All those emerging wars will affect Europe directly but all we get are some small economic backlashes. Anyhow, I've been living here for my whole 31 years of life and I've enjoyed the place and its peace. What I dislike is the cold and the lack of sun. I hope this message helps people having a fairer POV.

I would hope you could find happiness in Canada. One of my concerns about living in a theocratic country would always be, is this choice really your own? Can you ever be certain, if faced with violations of your rights, that the choice is really yours? And, if not, can you consider yourselves as choosing Islam, rather than being forced into it, even if in absence of theocratic rule, you would have chosen it anyways? Maybe I’m overthinking it. I have the tendency to do that. I think if I were Muslim, I might choose Tunisia. I’ve known people from Tunisia and it sounds like they’re pretty open-minded, but still obviously predominantly Muslim. I’ve been to Dubai, and while I see many people recommending it, I honestly thought it was the worst combination of East and West. All the commercialization of the West, but none of the democracy. Plus, if you are not native Emiratis, you will always be second class. I’m from the US in what I think is the mini-Canada (ok, the Twin Cities) and we have a big Muslim community, but I’m very concerned Trump will win again in 2024, and I don’t know what will come of it. My daughter is part Afghani, but raised Catholic because her father’s side is irreligious. But I still worry for her, looking like she does and carrying that last name. People are so awful.

As a born and raised Canadian I made the decision to flee my homeland of 42 years the moment that the current regime came to power in 2015. I ended a highly successful, well-paid 20+ year career, sold everything I owned and was gone within six months. I am not a religious person, so that did not factor into my decision, though I knew what was coming since I had lived for years as a member of a minority that was constantly demonized by former Liberal rulers for decades.\n\nI completely understand your reasons for leaving and wish you all the best. This is my 13th year in Canada, I am so sad to see the change, I really hope it will become a better country again with Trudeau stepping down. But we also have to be fair that there are not many countries become better since COVID. Many of you leaving or planning to leave Canada are more like rich country retirees taking advantage of the wage and currency differences between rich and poor countries. So let’s put it this way, if many of you have not worked your whole life here in Canada, will you still have a quality of life in your home countries, such as Southeast Asia or South America? I doubt majority of the population there is make a good money and having great work life balance, and everyone there could afford a decent retirement life. what is more close to nowadays reality is people coming here and hoping they could have a better paid job and settle down here, but most of them found out they are struggling to even maintain their normal life in this country, so they left. For those who came years ago, they made a saving which may not be enough to support a good retirement life here, but is more than enough in other countries, they also choose to flee. Then those successful immigrants will stay here with the option to travel anywhere they want. My son's classmate's grandfather immigrated to Canada long time ago who later become a well known cardiologist and was rewarded as one of the top 25 immigrants Award, all three daughters are now specialists too. I really hope Canada could rise again!

I see eye to eye with you on 3 points, but for the other two, you are entitled to your own views and perspectives. It's a disgrace how Canada has been governed the last 8 years. Government debt is through the roof and that burden has been passed directly to the once so called middle class now the working poor. I am leaving Canada as I can only see life and standard of living dropping considerably. If they stop the idiot policies now, it will take a generation to recover, but i hardly see that happening. The climate activists, gender activists and health fear mongering is controlling policy and brainwashing children. Canadians will accpet things. They will suffer and just accept what leadership is lying about. it is sad. once a great country and a beacon of hope for many around the world, that has been corrupted.

I don't understand why strict islam believers choose non islamic countries to settle in. There are so many countries in middle east, feels like half the countries have a muslim majority. Why not be comfortable living there. At the end of the day it is important to feel safe and also have a sense of belonging to where u settle down. How can a muslim ever feel that when prayers over loudspeakers are also banned. I feel like many muslims dont value their religion enough to settle in a muslim country and then when they face backlash in non-muslim country they start behaving like a victim. One cannot expect to be in an entirely different cultural environment and still force a different culture to their children. It restricts the children from integrating well in the country. When a parent from a different culture decides to raise children in a country which have a different culture, it is obvious that children will be exposed to this other culture. If that is not okay to parents, then they should not do children in a different country but rather in a country where they are blessed with their own culture. There is a choice for most people, and I am glad that you all chose it. Its beautiful to see people living in peace and in harmony with their religion. I love watching you all and hopefully you are able to encourage more muslims to choose an Islamic country to settle in, rather than being victims or having to fight in Non- Islamic countries due to western influence. My parents migrated from Pakistan to UK in the 1960s, they were the minority Muslims, but pioneers in establishing mosques, halal food in all educational establishments, many work places and major food outlets in majority Muslim areas. They also established Salah places in work and education and public buildings, and also the rights to practice your faith and take time for Salah in working hours.\n\nNow, my family are the fifth settled generation and alhamdolillah, we have many madrassas, islamic schools, and children becoming Hafiz. \n\nWe live in harmony with non Muslims and many are converting daily, the question is if there was no Muslims, how would the Deen be shown and expand in non Muslims countries. Even our Sahabahs went into the world to teach and expand our beautiful faith Islam.\n\nMany Islamic countries are only Islamic my name, they are the biggest contributers to the genocide, as they have not spoken up or helped their Muslim ummah in Palestine. You will also find many covert doctrines in their governments that you may not agree with.\n\nLastly, many Muslim children attend public schools and are being exposed to the LGBT community and we as Muslim parents are teaching them in our homes from a young age, that in islam there is only a man and a woman and no third gender and only a man can marry a woman.\n\nYou can have the best of intentions but you can wrap your children and one day they will be exposed to what is not Islamic, and they need to be taught how to deal with it and hopefully, by showing them their own Islamic values, hopefully also change people's perceptions as they come into Islam.\n\nMaybe, if you stayed in Canada, you could establish an islamic school for your children and other Muslim children to attend, look around where you live, see where you can establish prayer areas, talk to the mall managers and finance prayer rooms, talk to schools, public restaurants, and establish halal foods. Please look at what has been achieved in the UK and you are at the beginning of that in Canada, and think of the Islamic foundation you are setting the future generations of Muslims and also many more Muslims who may convert one day. insha'Allah

i have never been to Canada but i do have plenty of friends who are tried of living in Canada. I live in Malaysia and I do love in here and things are very easy going. The best part is the accessibility to halal food everywhere you go you can easily find Halal food and people in general are very friendly and also helpful too. I have been living in Malaysia for the past 20yrs and I enjoy in here. I was born and brought up in the UAE but I love Malaysia as my home. The cost of living in here is on the raise but it is not so bad as in many other countries so far. The Malaysian government is doing the best possible to keep a control of the inflation. We hope and pray to see 2024 as a better year to come

Main difference between Singapore and Canada is the latter has been trying to suppress wages of the working class effectively turning the working class into the working poor. \n\nThis, based on idiotic economic theories coming from central bank economists who think profiting private banks which produce nothing and creating a slave labor force in perpetual debt is good for the economy.\n\nIn Singapore, the govt has done the opposite. i.e. enabled purchasing power of the average citizen to rise along with standards of living. Its sad to even have to write this.\n\nWhen central bankers, govt..etc. step in to steal the productive output of the working class, it destroys Capitalism and suplants it with Crony Capitalism. FIRE (Financial, Insurance, Real Estate) speculation prospers while the working class producing real goods and services is financially destroyed.\n\nThe real estate prices are deliberately kept high by artificially restricting supply of housing through all kinds of bureaucratic means. Its main objective is to keep people in debt and working to pay off mortgage debt. A fall in housing prices would undo a lot of the leveraged bets that depend on housing prices staying high -- as happened in 2008 in the US. Main losers of that are banks.\n\nYou can then understand why Canada keeps pushing for more and more immigrants. All pyramid schemes (in this case a debt pyramid scheme) has to expand their base or collapse. It also serves the purpose of wage suppression of the working class so they remain in debt.\n\n\nI don't understand why you came from a prosperous country like Singapore to a lower standard of living in Canada. Assalamu’alaikum. Please check out Brunei Darussalam. I’m not saying that there are only pros but I think they do outweigh the cons. It’s similar to Malaysia in many aspects in terms of official religion i.e. Islam, language I.e. Malay (English is widely spoken though), culture, etc. It has very low crime rate so it’s very safe. I’m not sure about the immigration laws but you can easily check it out. I strongly believe it’s worth your while to check it out if you haven’t. Hope to see you here! I love Canada ?? I enjoy its winter and summer and try to make use of each day. Now, you are right with so many things you have mentioned in the video, and if you can’t see a change you wish to happen, then it’s your choice to stay or leave. I hope you all the best and hope peace for all.

Just remember wherever you guys pick make sure that they speak the same dialect that you do otherwise you're going to have that learning curve of learning their dialects. It is different in a lot of places like learning to speak like the yemeni do is different than the Pakistani. So just keep that in mind. My grandfather is from Yemen and his wife who is my grandmother and my dad's side is from sudan. And they used to tell me it took them a while to understand each other. My Syrian grandmother on my mom's side would teach me words and phrases and my grandpa who was from Yemen would always make fun of me because I wasn't saying stuff right. I'm not really good at speaking Arabic but I can get by so just remember when you guys are picking somewhere to pick a place that won't be that hard to understand people. I'm only saying that because with the kids you guys send the kids to school they may learn a different dialect than what you taught at home and it will be a learning curve for them to try to understand. But I'm sure you guys will make the right decision. I just figured I would throw that in there I'm sure you already know that the dialects are a lot different and Arabic is a lot different in different parts of the world. People think Arabic is all the same and it's really different. Just like people who speak Spanish in South America speak different dialects on the Puerto Ricans just like people in Brazil don't speak Spanish they speak portuguese. Just a thing to think about. Egypt seems to be a pretty good place I have family that live in Egypt and they really liked it but I'm sure you guys will pick a place that's wonderful for your family and I can't wait till you guys know when we can see everything that you guys are doing in your new home Korean and I totally understand I am so upset the United States took the stand that they did with the genocide in Gaza and in the occupied West bank. My husband is from Gaza, all of his extended family was killed and these three months have been the most emotionally depleting, we also found out we are 2 months pregnant alhamdulilah and because we want to make sure the little one gets the islamic education and lives in a safe environment we can't possibly stay in Canada (we live in Vancouver, almost no visible muslims here). I'm a revert from Europe so people get so confused when they see me in hijab, it's uncomfortable and scary. Given the fact that my husband grew up in Gaza, we would like to move somewhere where islamic values are still very strong and people didn't exchange them for Shakira concerts (I think we all know which country i'm talking about) so our safest bet as of now is Kuwait and Qatar. More strongly Kuwait as there's a big Palestinian community. Hope this helps!

Now my company is processing a work visa @ottawa. At my level the take home salary should be > 110K -120K CAD+ bonus. I'm hoping that would be sufficient. My wife is working here in India and is earning very well. After seeing this crisis news I'm most probably not going to make her resign. Will experience Canada for 2 years, save money and will go back to India. I don't want to permanently move.

Hello Saleh family, I have been following you for over two years now; I am not american or canadian but a physician and mother of two from a third world country in the Caribbean. I started following you because I was curious about the muslim faith and your way of life. I started following different muslim people (and jewish, vegan, homeless and more... basically anybody different than me) and after some time I saw that we were all humans in search of the same things in life. I completely agree with your decision of moving but was very disappointed in your comments towards the drag community. A person in drag reading a children's book is not indoctrination. A person in drag reading to kids is only teaching them acceptance and tolerance (exactly what you want the world to give to your girls who most likely wear a Hijab). A person in drag is an artist who finds joy and self worth in certain clothes, hairstyles and makeup... it is a person a human person with the same value as everyone else. It has nothing to do with sexuallity or sexual orientation... if we truly want freedom for Palestine, if we truly want to change the narrative and to prevent 75+ years of brutal occupation and racism ever happening again; we have to change the way we see our differences... is not enough to ignore and respect people who are different: we have to accept them and recognize their humanity and their worth; to value and foster acceptance and integration in the younger generations... that is the only way forward, that is the only way we will all secure a better future for our kids. Our problem here in America is Donald Trump! I am so fed up with that man and if he wins again I'm definitely moving to a different country but the same reasons you guys are freedom... In my teens, early 20s (early 00's) i dreamed of emigrating to Canada and Toronto. It had beautiful nature, was clean, safe, nice people and a great standard of living. But seeing it now especially the big cities is really sad. Many countries have had major turn arounds (Colombia for instance) and hopefully Canada can get back to being a great place again. My wife waited 24 hours to see an emergency doctor 2 weeks ago in a winnipeg hospital and commented to me that a lady there had been waiting there for 48 hours also I waited for 2 years to see a specialist but part of that was during covid, also the wages are some of the lowest in the country here in winnipeg and still has some of the highest property taxes in the country and now with bill C11 and bill C19, with all of these Canada has a lower living standards than more than a few 3rd world countries. Our civil liberties here have changed for the worst and the future looks bleak, I would have moved away if I could but I can't as I wont leave my family behind some things are really more important than money and that's family but still I fight on and hope things will one day change. Also recently the canadian government did a standing ovation to a Nazi and froze the bank accounts of peaceful protestors, really not looking good for Canada.

We immigrated to Canada to create a life we would not have been able to have back home. However, not only did we not obtain a better life, we lost the opportunities that we would have had back home if we had stayed there. We came here to be able to buy property, to have secure employment in the fields that we were trained for. We came here to have better medical care. At this point, to see a doctor, we prefer to fly back home and to get diagnosed and treated there because of the long wait times and doctors who are reluctant to prescribe tests and are just passive. They just care about the paperwork they need to complete instead of diagnosing and treating patient. We immigrated to lower our stress levels but they doubled and tripled due to debts, the risk of being laid off or fired so easily . I work 10 hours a day, but I live in conditions that a jobless person is living. The salary I earn does not help me improve my life and to buy a house and to generally improve. The issue is that Canada is being dangerously overrated and is being marketed for what is not true. Hopefully with social media the realities will get out and reach people.

See the paid journalist try to plant a hasbara talking point in the minds of the world. This what they do. One sided on behalf of the criminal state. Americans are too dense else they’ll understand the Palestinians are just like them. Occupied by a foreign entity that didn’t originate from within. The similarities are uncanny. Palestinians are denied free speech . So are Americans. They are denied basic necessities. So are Americans . They are locked in an open air prison so are Americans . And they are policed by a brutal military regime. So are Americans. \nIncidentally Palestinian fate is linked to American fate. If Israel is defeated , the lobby dies and Americans like the Palestinians will be free . Something one hope Americans will realize soon.

Forget about immigrants, at least they can go back to their countries and jobs. It is not the costs only, it's the culture, the business how it is run in Canada. What about Canadian borns and Canadian educated?. A software developer, born and raised in Canada and for a year and half can't find a single job, not even an entry level with minimum pay or p/to. Not even a chance to call on one phone interview With lost hopes, seeking a job in Europe!. A young proud Canadian, who loved his country more than anything. \nImmigrants, run away or don't come, as really there is no job in Canada. Posting that you see, are sitting for years some of them and just rejecting candidates without hiring anyone.

Immigration and real estate is a source of income for Canada, any prime minister or party will not give up this source of income. \n Most of us probably see that class of people who are ready to come to Canada with the hope of changing their lives for themselves and their families, but we don't see those super rich people who bring poisonous and huge amounts of money into Canada! The immigration and finance department of Canada will not give up those immigrants. Just to please the voters, maybe they include a small article and note here and there in the law, like giving candy to a crying child.

Canadians are the problem because they have allowed their dear leader to destroy their country. Canadians and immigrants are leaving because they don't see any hope for a brighter future.
