What people don't understand including all mainstream and digital media is that it is too late because someone like me.\nA born and raised Canadian who worked establish a home almost paid it off. But because of the immigrants from India, dad have. Moved in to this complex and decided that because their demands to take over my parking stall. They have a right to harass me threatened my life.\nThey have convinced other neighbors that I am this horrible dark pervert. Racist drug dealer killer.\nAnd when I call 911. When they are all physically, confronting me. Not 1 person, not 2 people, a lot of The Times it's 3 or more. They have even come to my door banging on it. Confronting me on my own property. When I call 911, they tell me the Calgary city pigs tell me. Maybe you should move for your own safety. They obviously don't see the housing crisis. Just recently, when I called 911, they told me the Calgary city police told me to stay in my unit for my own safety. I am not free according to the charter of rights and freedom section 7. Everyone has a right to life, liberty. And security and should not be prohibited thereof however, I have no rights because I am disabled. I am not surprised because what people don't understand is that the government is trying to make. People believe that Canadians don't want to work. Back in 1992, after my college experience. I was able to get a placement in the unemployment office. Worked for them for free for one month. Which was part of the course?\nBut the government refuse to hire me, no explanation. I know why it was because I am. Blind and crippled and look like a freak. So don't tell me about immigration. They get treated way better than I have in this country for fifty eight years

Indian’s come to our country for refuge. Now they change our traditions, get away with stuff no one else can. Like who’s behind all the stolen cars being shipped out to India. They come to our country, committing crimes, laughing at our justice system. They have more rights than the aboriginal people who were born here. That’s just sad. There’s gotta be a stop to this.

I went to high school in Brampton Ontario, in the mid 80's and there were no Indian immigrants anywhere. After high school, I moved to Montreal to work as a fashion designer, (I have to mention the shock I experienced whenever I would fly into Toronto for business... when I went to get a taxi, there was always a massive line of Indian taxi drivers standing outside next to their taxis. I had the feeling that I was no longer in Canada, but somehow ended up in India?) Having lived in Montreal for 30 years, I recently moved to Guelph Ontario, to be closer to family and I was shocked to see how many Indians had moved there, (going to the dog park, I was informed by the people there, that Brampton was called Bramladesh and Guelph was turning into another Bramladesh.) There was a massive temple built in Guelph a few years ago and suddenly Guelph was invaded by Indian immigrants, with every house put up for sale bought by an Indian family, (the husband, his wife and their kids, the brother and his wife, their mother and father, all living in a 3 bedroom house with 3 cars in a 1 car driveway, (for some strange reason they all choose to dig up the black asphalt driveway and replace it with white concrete??) So yeah, the white people in Guelph are fleeing en mass, as it becomes impossible to sit in the back yard, or open a window, without choking on the powerful stench of spices coming from the Indians living next door... it's like being punched in the face from the horrific smell when you walk your dog and pass by one of their homes! That said, it feels like their goal is 'global domination' and with 2 billion people living in India today, it's just a matter of time before they all decide to leave the most over populated, the most polluted and the most corrupt country on the planet, and move to Canada!

I'm not sure if it's students or temp workers or immigration on general bit there has been a huge rise in the number of people from India working at our big bix stores, gas stations, fast food.... like 3 out of 4 new workers are recent imports ... its just kinda crazy and unsustainable really.

Want to keep their traditions and change the culture of their host countries instead of becoming Canadians or Americans\nI strongly disagree with this trend\nAnd believe that if you want to stay, then you should assimilate

I have been living in Calgary for 31 years now I never seeing so many Indian from India like now, it's too much, why the government brings people from only India, why they don't bring from other nationally like Mexico and Brazil or other European and Middle Eastern countries. It should be deffrent nationally not just from India

Like I have said before, it depends on where they come from. Most people from different countries can adapt to western kind of life. For example, people from India and the Ukraine. They are used to a western kind of life. I know the weather can be a challenge in the winter, but we all just tolerate it and can't wait for the spring and summer. Unfortunately, I have heard of too many stories about certain countries in the middle east that are having issues. They seem to be under the impression that it is fine to act exactly the way they want, and be abusive to Canadians that were born here. Look what is happening in the U.K. Do I want that? NO.

As much as it is a Canadian issue, India and its ultra-nationalistic media need to ponder this. With all this GDP narrative of Indias being bigger than than many of the developed nations and how India is being projected as the next superpower, what is the need for legal and illegal migrants to take such a step. What is the pressure for such a large number of people to take such a risk, when most, if not all, will be deported back to India. I have the same question to China as well. Their state controlled media is naming and shaming US, Canada snd some European nations, while their migrants legal/illegal are pouring into US through Mexico. This is a fact that over 100 Chinese illegals were deported in a large charted flight back to whereever they came from as recent as last week of June 2024. I know I'll get a lot of nationalistic chest beating bots denying this, but it's not like the US/Canadian citizens are entering countries illegally in such numbers.

It is law of the land, like it or not just accept it. I did my masters from United States, and later worked there for a decade. As person born in India, I can never get green card of the United States. After leaving to India for good, I realized I cannot adjust in India, US would never accept me, so I came to Canada. But like every person who moved from US to Canada, not a day goes without missing the US. People in Canada are amazed why I left US and came to Canada. People from other country of birth can easily get US green card and eventually citizenship, but I can never get one. So should I start hating the US? Nope. I am grateful to US for everything. I came from a poor family in India, with less than 8000 USD in my parents saving. I studied in US free of cost sponsored by research grants, did top notch academic research, and worked on top notch industrial research. Due to which I had no issues finding job in India, and directly got interview and job offer in Canada, Sweden and UK while sitting at my home in India.\nUS would always be my home, does not matter I have a green card or not. I would always remember US and miss it, in good memory.

20 years past I new good people from India who only spoke English, but now they are rude, entitled and disputing, it is like the worse from Indi came in the last 10 years

See you are a respectful and good citizen who we would have no problem welcoming to Canada. It's the others who are ignorant and who do not respect our countries culture. If you plan to immigrate you must respect our culture and act as nice or nicer than the reputation us Canadians have. The reason we are upset with some Indians is they have no respect. Some of them throw their garbage everywhere on the streets on the beaches on our walkways. I get in India the culture there may allow you to throw garbage in the streets and lakes and rivers. We do not do that here. Either way something has to change the government needs to fix this problem they created. Also why did they allow so many Indians what about Immigrants from other countries? It seems like all they did was mass import people from India. They can hardly even speak English. No disrespect I am just saying from someone who was born in Canada and whose parents grandparents and great grandparents and beyond were all born in Canada how we feel the way our country is being disrespected. It does not make us happy. But let me stress that I know there are kind respectable people from India who come here and are helping Canada. It's the ones who are disrespectful and are not respecting OUR culture.

I'm all for people from abroad, coming to our education system, because we have the one of best in the world, get an education, establish yourself here and you can make a great life out of it and you'd be accepted. Learn our polite and law-abiding culture, and you would be accepted. If you come over here with the expectation of becoming citizens, because our government markets it like that. The amount of times that I met Indians that don't care, are rude, entitled don't deserve to be here. On top of that, they bring in their third-world culture and thinks it's ok to behave like that. Yes, bring your culture. Bring your massive weddings, food, art and traditions. That's what makes canada such a great nation. But leave all the other things that you're trying to escape in India or avoid in India. That's why there is so much hate towards them.

I worked in a retail store with where Indians shopped regularly. They were the very rude to the sales helps. They talked down to us and they were the worst thieves the store has ever seen. Our regular customers started going else ware because of this problem. I'm afraid Canada is no longer a great, desirable country because we have aloud it to be taken over by the east indians. It is the governments fault but is is also the fault of the indians because they have not adapted to the Canadian way of life. They want us to adapt to their way of life. Please close the doors to any further indian immigrants or students . Go back to India if you don't like what Canada wont do for you.. My colleague, who is a temperary worker from Japan, told us she was kind of forced to watch some religious videos while she was working, and this guy kept telling her that he is kind of a big person who has the authority to issue Canadian visa to foreigners to come to Canada. He told her to contact him in the future when she needs visa to Canada. My collegue said he seems from India or related country.Not 100% from India. She just said he seems like. --- I would not believe that Canada has a immigration problem if i have never heard what happened to my colleague. There is so much problems in Canada, like young people facing serious drug issues, homeless issues, etc. Canada needs to deal with these issues. I hope there is less these visa or immigration issues to take away the ability for Canada to deal with issues that future Canadian children are facing.

It’s not a hatred as much as is their way to get things. For example jobs. You marry Indian so you see matters from a different perspective, their prospective. I remember one significant situation in one of a dealership place where I bought a car. There was only one Indian representative there working. Two years later I saw only Indian men working there. The way how they pushed other people away from jobs and hired their own kind, that enjoys me so much. And one more thing if we allows that many students from only one country, you think is fair for others young people not to be able to come here and study. And last but not least if we allowed Indian students in such numbers to come what do you think Canada will look like in 10 years, I know “another India “

I'm thinking that the next government which I hope will be led by Pierre Poilièvre, will seriously opt for a solution like opening a Canadian school in India and in other countries so that people don't have to come here to study in a Canadian school/college/university. That way, they could study in their country without having to move and face difficulty in living abroad which for them should be only allowed for a certain number of years and then that they have to return to their country of origin. Once back in their country of origin should they want to immigrate here, well there is an official process for immigration that needs to be done. No skipping steps and that has to be done from outside of Canada.

I am West Indian, descendent of India indentured workers. I love my country of birth, Canada where I have lived since 3, and I have much love and pride in my Indian roots. That being said, I have come to feel embarrassed of being taken for East Indian by other Canadian people. I moved to small city outside of Toronto in 2004. I loved it here! People were so welcoming, kind, friendly. I felt no prejudicial treatment from any of my neighbours. \nFast forward, my little city is now overrun with new Indian immigrants. I can’t tell if I am in the heart of Toronto or Brampton or my city of Oshawa. \nThe Indian people I encounter in the grocery store are pushy, have no Canadian manners, speak their language loudly, come to the stores with their entire family which fills up the isles and cause long lines. All the sale items are sold out by the time you get there because Indians are filling their cart with as much as they can purchase of any of the on sale merchandise. This never happened before. \nI am also saddened by being assaulted when an Indian person passes by and wave of body order sickens me. I don’t understand what the cause of that is. Not bathing regularly or not using deodorant. But I notice this everywhere I come in contact with Indians, men and women, young and old. \nI feel like I will be mistaken for East Indian myself which I have been when I went to the hospital. I was treated like I couldn’t speak English lol\nThe worst is the Muslims, they are the rudest the way they fill every available free space, make women feel uncomfortable and are just intrusive and unable to incorporate themselves with other Canadians. I live there for two decades except few years in India. People move there for opportunities and face job problem. Earlier one could manage in 2000 dollars but now 4000 is not enough. Salaries have increased but cost of living rose rapidly in the last 4-5 years. \n\nLakes are there but only produce is grass and cows fed on that. Some farming is there. Lot of forests but more than economy, it is becoming liability with very high cost of dousing wild fires. In summers, many cities are severely polluted causing health concern in only good season there. \n\nAll businesses are controlled by a few and we call them cabal. Life of new comer is like bonded labourers or slaves. \n\nPolity and healthcare we need not say anything. It is as clear as daylight \n\nPeople are moving less but are still moving there. It speaks more about condition in India.

Hey,\n\nI don’t know how popular you are but I am hoping that you (or someone else reading) can make some short shareable etiquette videos for Indian immigrants. I am constantly annoyed by the following, but because I was born in Canada, I would be cancelled for saying the things you can. I am also Indian. Here’s the list that comes to mind. I might come back and edit this because I am sure there are things I am forgetting: \n\n- coughing into your elbow instead of your hands (literally watched a guy yesterday on the bus cough into his hands then put his hands onto the support bar)\n\n- Standing to the side and letting people off the train so you can get on instead of trying to walk through people who are trying to get off \n\n- Standing up and moving to the side to let somebody off on an inside seat of the bus. I have a butt. I don’t want to be squeezing by you \n\n- Taking off their backpack while standing on the bus and putting it between their legs\n\n- Moving to the back of the bus instead of crowding by the doors\n\n- Standing in lines to get onto the bus instead of crowding\n\n- Not littering. Either put your garbage in the bin or take it with you. Stop leaving it on the beach or on hiking trails.\n\n- Learn about hiking before attempting it. We have people going up in jeans and flip flops in the evening and getting stuck on mountains or injured. Some wear running shoes but they don’t have enough traction for the trail\n\n- Shovel the sidewalk in front of your home when it snows\n\n- Stop dousing yourself with axe body spray. \n\n- Understand that Indian food makes your clothes smell. It gives off oils that get stuck in everything. Open your windows and doors when cooking to minimize this as much as possible. You won’t be able to resolve this entirely but do what you can. The skytrain now smells like Indian food even when empty. \n\n- Stop riding your bikes and scooters on the sidewalk. It’s illegal and you have a responsibility to learn the rules \n\n- Stop hiring everybody that you know. Before nepotism was all about networking, but nowadays, it seems to be about hiring Indian people that you know. I am being discriminated by employers because they think I will do the same once I am in. Diversity in teams matters. Indian immigrants don’t seem to believe in this and think all that matters is the most qualified get the job. This is how you end up building facial recognition models that don’t recognize Black people. \n\n- You work at McDonald’s. Stop blasting Indian music. The McDonald’s by my place is blasting Indian music from the back and it overtakes the restaurant music. \n\n- In a work environment, even if it is all Indians, speak English. You ostracize your fellow colleagues and customers. You are also not improving your English skills by speaking in your primary language.\n\n- Make an effort to make non-Indian friends. It’s really intimidating even as an Indian to see large packs of Indian men\n\n- Learn how to swim. Every year we have multiple drownings at a lake because Indian people are unprepared for the reality of the water. This is a basic safety skill.\n\n- Stop staring at women. Even as an Indian woman I get stared at by these guys. Just stop. \n\n- Get headphones. Playing music or having conversations on speakerphone in public places is rude and very inconsiderate of others \n\n- Stop cheating. Whether that’s cheating the system or during classes. We grow up here and environment that even though we can cheat, the culture makes it completely unethical and you just don’t. The consequences are significant. I get it that you come from a country that doesn’t have enough resources for its population, but you give the entire Indian community a bad name when you cheat, lie, and do other unethical things.\n\n- Learn about Canadian values. The Canadian charter of rights and freedoms exists. Under it cases were won supporting equality for women, LGBTQ rights, etc. this is built into our constitution and it’s so ridiculous to come across people who don’t adopt Canadian values. Why choose Canada if you want a culture of what’s back at home. \n\n- I get it that our healthcare system needs to improve but am disappointing reading advocacy for private healthcare in Indian Facebook groups in Canada. Tommy Douglas was voted as the greatest Canadian. He is the founding father of our nationalized healthcare system. For the most part, Canadian are happy that we don’t have a healthcare system like the United States, where your access is determined by your employer or your income. We don’t go bankrupt when we have a health emergency. Go back to India or go to another place where you can pay for private healthcare, but stop advocating to transition our healthcare system to a private system. While you’re at it go look up who was determined to be some of the greatest Canadians.

I’ll tell you this right now we are not rich. Whoever thinks Canada is rich doesn’t know reality of it. Most of the people in the country are broke or going broke. The infrastructure of all kind is no longer able to keep up with the demand and population. We are also paying huge amount of taxes like we are taxed on everything. It ain’t sunshine and rainbows it seems like in India.

Trudeau has taken the Multi out of “Multiculturalism” Canadians and Indians have different values and if we Canadians mention this we are shamed and labeled as racist. I have a few Indian friends and they even say that immigration to Canada from India has gone out of balance. Many Indian people don’t assimilate into western living and many try to find loopholes they can exploit. I don’t like that Sikh men can bring daggers to places like the gym, it makes me feel uncomfortable working out beside someone with a big knife. Indian people wearing a Turban don’t have to wear helmets when riding their motorcycles. If a white Canadian took a big hunting knife into a gym they would be escorted out by the RCMP, and would be ticketed and fined for not wearing a motorcycle helmet. While sitting with one of my Indian friends he mentioned how he would hate to be me, I asked him why, he said as an Indian he can do what he wants and if I say anything I’m shamed and considered a racist. ??

Present Canadian govt is dependent on DNP of Jagmeet Singh (Khalistani supporter). He can make Trudeau dance to his tune. Canadians of Indian origin mostly from Punjab are Khalistani sympathizers and they have fomented enough trouble locally in Canada and are primarily responsible for the poor relations between India and Canada. \n\nSecondly Indian emigration is of highly skilled work force consisting of doctors, scientists, financial experts, bankers, professors, businessman, politicians, and logistics business experts etc. They contribute to the treasury by paying the highest taxes than any other immigrant including european settlers. By and large Indians are peace loving people and excel in their fields. Now Indian origin people are into politics and Canada has a few MPs of Indian origin serving as ministers of defense, foreign affairs etc. \n\nThis xenophobia has to stop. Every wave of immigrants to the new continents have faced these problems be it Irish, Italian, Spanish, Dutch or East European immigrants. The process of assimilation takes a long time and in the meantime there would be some hiccups to which the society will eventually adapt. Every new immigrant group faces hostility from the earlier settled immigrants. It's much harder if the new immigrants don't look like the earlier settled immigrants. This is natural !!!.

You guys should start series on problems of India like poverty, water crisis , environment crises, lack of civic sense, lack of teachers for schools and colleges, No value of time, misogynist mindset etc.\nLets educate our people by showing them mirror

The Middle class parents who can't even buy a house for themselves keep bringing kids to India's competition without any thought that they are making their lives and kids lives worse as they have no plans for future. Unless you own your own house and have passive income do not bring little kids to India which off course will never become like Canada or US as what matters is GDP/Capital and not just GDP. So the root cause of India's problems is Over Population and Crowding of Major Cities. 140 crore and growing is the bane of India.

The important point is India can never be clean, disciplined or have hours infrastructure as any wester n country , even if we have number one gdp. The reason is Indian mindset is to not respect the nature and litter everywhere as compared to Canadians who treat nature like their family. The government has built good infrastructure and people follow every law that government has levied. But at the same time, it comes with its own set of problems such as poor healthcare, avg education no career growth and insane expense. So there is no heaven anywhere. You choose to stay where you feel happier.

I am an Indian and I am disgusted to see what fellow Indians have done to Canada! They come here with their total lack of civic sense! I was born and raised in Calcutta as we navigated daily through filth and dirt on the streets - not only because of the poor on the street - but bec of everyone else who walks around and thinks nothing of throwing their garbage on the streets, spitting and blowing their noses on the streets and even in buildings - stairway landings, or peeing in the open - in public spaces or against building walls, etc.. Narcissistic, selfish drivers who cut people off, break the traffic rules, grab parking spots, etc.. They come here and make every effort to Indianize Canada - to make this into India instead of respecting this country that has generously and (ignorantly!!) allowed them in!! If they want to live their Indian culture in an 'Indian environment' - then for goodness sake - GO BACK TO INDIA and clean up that country your call your 'matri bhoomi' - your Mother!! The presenter is right - Indians (and Sri Lankans, Bangladeshis and Pakistanis too included here - all with the same mentality!) have dragged down the customer service experience in stores and restaurants. Indians are usually polite but they are not good at maintaining a high standard of customer service! Employees in Walmart, Costco, Tim Hortons (especially!), etc., are seen standing around, chatting with each other in their Indian languages instead of being professionally attentive to customers. The shopping experience is not pleasant like it was 25 years ago!! Your remarks are not harsh and Indians NEED to take it personally and be embarrassed into doing the necessary to make the changes they need to. We immigrated to Canada not to come to 'another India' - we came to Canada and would like to live in this country to appreciate it's uniqueness and contribute to maintaining it the way it has been! The presenter has done a good job with this video. Very fair. The highly ignoramus Liberal Government leader with his Indian goons in tow - esp that sell-out NDP leader whose support of Trudope has gotten us in such a mess in this country - are totally to blame!! Indians need to have some self respect and like you said - see themselves as ambassadors of India abroad and present themselves with dignity worthy of respect!! Look at the state of India - with all the money and tech and education for urban dwellers and the elite, the country still wallows in filth and the poor continue to suffer great poverty while the rich get richer and call it karma when the poor suffer - while not lifting a finger to alleviate their poverty..... izzath ka saval hai (matter of respect! - greatly valued!!) - is only personal and selfish and related to one's own family and status - to hell with the rest of the country and people!! They brag about the lavish living of the Ambanis and Goenkas, etc - while the world sees the social injustice and gross disparity born of self-indulgence, selfishness and greed that is at the heart of Indian life in India!

India has to choose one thing , that is producing quality of development like building more production based plants because we have less natural resources and to improve quality of practical knowledge in studies. political imbalance in the time of elections and corruption is the main problem and that cant be solved in India even when we reach 50 years from now . For people, its do or die situation now. either become rich in this country or flew to another country . these are the only situations that people mainly think about now.?

I’m in Canada for past 2 years. Despite its negatives what I appreciate the most is work life balance and women’s safety. Life is difficult for international students but for those who come here with PR or jobs it’s a little better for them. Anti India sentiments are mostly among Khalistanis. There is absolute logic for non Khalistani Canadians to not like Indians- the quality of people who have been coming here are not exactly the ‘brains’ and crème de la crème of India. They lack basic etiquette and civic sense and have been caught shoplifting, evading fares on public transit. We have no one to blame other than ourselves for this. Otherwise Canadians are very polite and friendly to immigrants. I’ve never had strangers holding doors to public places open for me back in India which I have experienced here.

Indians complaining like Indians in India are not hating on others in India.....Indian people coming to Canada and calling white people raysiss while India in ranked #1 most raysiss country. Lol the hypocrisy is astounding. Indians coming to Canada with a entitled attitude think they are owed something because 200 years ago some rich British C*nts supposedly stole from other rich Indian C*nts. Socialist/commie Indians coming to Canada thinking they are entitled to Canada's welfare benefits, food banks etc....abusing the system taking advantage. Indians coming to Canada and practicing nepotism in the workforce while white business owners can get into trouble for discrimination. I was born in Canada and applied for a part-time job at a restaurant around the corner by an Indian employment agency. I have multiple years experience. I was told to report to the manager, who was a Sikh. I did online training and never scheduled. I was never paid for my training and told I was not needed and would have to reapply. Everyone who works at this restaurant is south-Asian or from India. Why do we need workers from 12,000 km away when people around the corner are looking for work? It's literally like a summer camp with students from India. The Trudeau government never should have increased immigration so quickly. Major mistake.
