I think this “in your face” publicly addressing Donald looks good. Canada should fast track citizenship for US Citizens wishing to immigrate: prioritize and target talented and skilled US citizens and make it a very public announcement, like this.

As an American, i hope that the world does react to the United States as Canada has. And even worse. I hope that things for us get as bad as it gets because anything less will be ignored or brushed off as anyone elses fault. I want Americans to really understand what a horrible mistake they made in Donald. But my hopes or not, this seems very likely to be the case anyway.

I'm European, but I lived in Canada for a couple of months and actually got to see Trudeau speak live in Parliament. He gave a very different speech that day - a eulogy. I did not think then I would ever hear this man this very obviously pissed off. He's like one of those teachers that don't need to shout to show their students they are in big trouble. I don't know if I would vote for him if I was Canadian, but I would certainly be proud of him right now.

I’m an American. I admire Canada as an Ally and neighbor. I can’t imagine a better international neighbor to have. The people there are kind and strong. The Trump administration is single-handedly trying to tear down alliances. To what end? Most likely self enrichment. I’m hoping for a normalization of relations as soon as possible.
