I have lived in Canada for 12 years and travelled to more than 40 countries. Until this day i still don’t know why Canadians are known as being nice. I met assholes like the customer in the video all the time when i was in Canada. ?

I don't know why it is considered okay to deprive these people of knowledge and technology. The fact that it is 2024 and they still have sticks shows how technologically inept they are. It would be another 10000 years before they invent a gun... we're literally living in the future compared to them.?

i dont know where you got you sources but we had thousands of immigrant last year and they dont seem to want to leave... We got so many in our schools that we cant get enough teachers to teach them, we lack housing, hospitals to care of all those people... they discover its expensive and still want to stay....

Agreed with all your points and thanks for sharing. But honestly, I fail to understand two points here. 1. People living in Canada and commenting that it is true and they are baffled with this whole situations, when exactly you are coming back to India? People will tell you that they want to come back but no one will. It is because those who actually left for Canada in order to have a better lifestyle are still having a better lifestyle in Canada and they will never return back (atleast in the near future). They left for Canada citing the reasons that India is polluted and they are toured based on religion (you know exactly whom I am talking about) but whatever the case is...they are still not coming back. 2. No country is perfect, I agree that Canada has its own problems to deal with but then why Indians are leaving for US, UK and Australia where racisms and cost of living high too? It is because they have issues with India too and those who have issues with a well diverse and prospered country like India, will have problems in other country as well. So if you don't wanna come to Canada, all good but other countries have same problems as well (atleast 80% matches the points discussed in the video - exclude drug ofcouse).

Im a 10 gen canadian. Have a skilled trade under my belt. They say theres a shortage. But i can't get a job. Applying for jobs all across canada still nothing. But it seems these immigrants can just walk straight into these job no experience or training. Ive even gone back to school. Struggle with the writting side of the courses. But the people who dont understand a word of english pass with 90's. So i know have 2 degrees and on the job experience with a skilled trade. And still cant even get an interview after putting out hundreds of resumes. But the walk in and get hired on the spot. Not fair at all

I live in Calgary with a spouse and two kids and what most people would consider successful and it is nothing what I would have expected. We are mid 30s with a high household income and still struggle. We are self made (no family help) and between the house, kids, and insanely high living costs (think food, taxes, insurance, transportation...ect) we just get by. We struggle and then I think of the families making the average income and it blows my mind. I don't know how all the parents out there do it. This country is broken. Housing is insane, every industry is dominated by one or two corporations putting the screws to everyone making the cost of living unsustainable, and the government taxes you into the ground...how long can it really last

Honestly, the cost of living is high everywhere.. There is no government of any nation that really cares for the people.. I live in Jamaica, and if you don't have links, survival in this country is almost impossible, and if you should get a job, if you don't discipline yourself to live within your means/ budget, you will only find yourself in debts.. Each nation's economy will get worse.. That's why our only hope is the Lord Jesus Christ.. I understand that they are people who don't know this name and there are some that are aware of it but hate it, but the truth is, eventually we will all figure out one by one that we can't trust man, only God Almighty.. And even with the Lord on our side, we will still face difficulties, but he will always come to our rescue, we just need to trust him.. It won't get any better in these last days people, even the great USA economy is going down, because the dollars is gradually losing power and influence.. We can only survive by faith in these days, for there will be no escape for anyone, rich or poor, white or black..\n\nEdit: The whole world will soon want to migrate to Africa..

What made Canada rich was the older generations, the country is still running on the steam of those previous generations. In general the entire west has gone SO far left that it's just not worth it to start a business and innovate when you know that all your profit will be taken from you in the form of taxes and given to the least productive of society which will collect welfare cheques. But if politicians don't enact these socialist policies then they won't get elected or re-elected. What goes up must come down I guess.

I am not A Canadian I’m an American, but I interact with lots of Canadians as they find themselves coming down here for one reason to the other and I’m not near the border either. I’m quite far into the US in a major US city.\n\nThere are two types of Canadians that distinct themselves. The first group is the ones that are themselves immigrants that are naturalized. I make this distinction because many cases they have not assimilated. They still have their own culture from another country and is pointed out by the narrator people from south Asia and Asia strongly have their culture And language \n\n( Canada is good for allowing people to live in communities to cut themselves off from the main screen. You have people who speak the Ukrainian language Going Back 4 generations)\n\nThen I’m gonna have to use a euphemism that might make peoples hair stand on the back of their neck. I’m gonna call them. The white Canadians has a euphemism. These are people who are going so far back from the British Isles for the most part and the French also speak another language who have no connection to Europe. The English-speaking Canadians who are you from white could walk down or come down to the US and fit right in in a matter of weeks if they’re not already assimilated into the US Culture ( I hope I don’t see any fireworks start coming from this comment) Many of these white Canadians are now more economically disadvantage than the newer Asian and south Asian immigrants and find themselves often times competing for resources with these newer immigrants. Many immigrants more effectively when it comes to investment funds and banking as they formed their own little cocoon communities that don’t interact with the white Canadians.\n\nUnderstandably the white Canadians feel like they’re shut out, unappreciated by the government and now disadvantage and if they raise any protest, they’re called racist and white supremacist. \n\nJust so you know, I am not a white American, but I have an immigrant father from East Asia and I have relatives of my fathers who are also from the same Asian country who immigrated the Canada that I’m in contact with\n\nCulturally when I run into white Canadians, what I noticed is that their diction and speech is so clean clear and polished. It’s almost like they went to a finishing school or a low level class in diplomacy and public speaking many of these people come off like human resource people in the US because their culture is one of accommodation and consideration for other people they know how to be mindful of other people and these are great qualities\n\nYes, the Canadian government is messing up right now and they’re gonna wind up, ruining the social cohesion of their country if they have any and also wasting their human capital

The problem with most Canadians is that they are parroting the leftist rhetoric. I have chatted with many people that I met in the nearby park when my dog was still alive, but every time I tried to feel people out about their stance on immigration, they immediately began to regurgitate the brainwashed bullshit that the woke left had fed them. I only know a few people who have similar ideas, but it's nowhere near enough to start a movement. I'm an Aussie citizen as well. Thinking of moving back at some point, even though I know the situation is almost as bad as it is here ?.

I personally know more than a dozen people who went to canada but left it within 5 years and some of my friends who are still there are looking for a way out.

Go home, here is no welcome to your guys, you want to stay here but here already too much Indian people, including many used fake documents still staying here, you are guys should know if you are in other countries have to follow their rules, and don’t bring that location environment going down.

I wanted so badly to become a Canadian but sadly, after living in Vancouver for 1.5 years, it became apparent that staying in BC would mean never being able to afford to start a business (let alone buy a house) and that making friends was not something locals were interested in doing. I discovered that Canadians were exceedingly polite and helpful to others in the community, but not friendly. The difference is someone being kind enough to return a lost wallet (with the money/cards still in it!! WOW) or phone but won't invite you to their homes, join friend groups, or social circles. Side note.. I also learned that I prefer more overt racism than the polite version experienced in Canada. At least you know where you stand with someone..

I grew up in Brampton since the early 80s and witnessed the massive cultural/demographic shift over a period of 20 years. Now, it has become the place to go for a lot of the newcomers, and that was what it was. However, with the recent illegal immigration there has been an unprecedented spike in crime. Firearms, drugs, pr@stitution, car theft, and home break-ins have all gone through the roof. I know that it still hasn't reached Toronto status yet, but we are very close considering the size of the population. We need to deal with home first before we take on the worlds problems.

Irony is all these people who are getting interviewed are first and second generation immigrants as well. Due to the inbuild hate towards other immigrants you would only get one answer which is there are too many. One thing that no one seems to be understanding is excessive immigration was never a problem since Canada is so big that by the pace it's going and with the ageing population it still needs immigration to keep our economy afloat. Since the elections are coming and Liberals know they ain't coming back, this is just a one last hope for them to bring this sensitive topic because they know people would unite since the majority of people in here already have a hate towards immigrants just to win back the votes. It's the governments fault for not being able to keep up with the necessary housing and healthcare needed for the people. You all should be protesting against the government for sending money for the war and giving away in the name of philanthropy. And I don't understand why True North spread hates all over instead of uniting people. And by the way I am a Canadian citizen and I strongly support the immigration big time.

Why are you guys trying to target hardworking people? does anyone know the kind of benefits refugees get ? No cent has been paid in tax dollars by these people. Their rent is paid for by the government, their children's education is paid for, these guys have no clue about how to communicate in english. Students paid fees to get education here and gave exams to certify the level of english, I worked in Insurance and telecommunications sector and imagine explaining shit to these guys who are not interested in listening to how it actually works then come back and blame service reps for hiding facts. While it is their lack of comprehension of the language which is the actual problem. These people get their immigration status easily while students who arrive here pay thousands in fees and are still considered a problem ? \n\nLack of governance is not something that you can blame on the immigrants, the system has been in place for a while and it was being gamed before too, but the government sleeps at the wheel. In Nova Scotia, there has been unthinkable amount of PRs given to students, who did not go to any of the Atlantic Canada Universities, came here for just gaining PR IN FOOD SERVICE SECTOR and then leave as soon as their cards were in the mailbox, While I spent 9 years here in Nova Scotia and still cannot apply due to such constraints caused by these people who keep moving here from Ontario just because their province would not approve their PR. Who will make the government accountable ?

Canada is one of the least densely populated major countries and the problem for your housing prices is less than 1M immigrants over the past 2years? And you're going to lead your causes of this problem with that? Give me a break.\nSpend more time on WHY building new houses is not profitable enough and is disincentivized. Talk about how incentivizing home ownership as a wealth building vehicle turned into a bubble and a ponzi scheme as those housing investments outpaced other investments. You know who can still afford to buy up houses, hold them, and prevent the market from deflating? Corporations. Shifting taxes that hurt poor people (like income and sales taxes) onto land value taxes would stop most of this. It would become expensive to sit on vacant investment houses and corporations and landlords would be forced to sell them.

I’m a Canadian nurse and I lived in the US for 10 years during my career. I did it when I was young to gain work experience and travel with friends. It gave me a lot of insight in how it feels to live in both countries. I’ve been a nurse and patient in both counties so I also know how it feels to work, live and be a resident in both. \n\nI cannot articulate enough how it has confirmed to me how fortunate I am to be Canadian. The perks to living in the US were very superficial and frivolous things that matter very little in the broad scheme of things,….which I see as more restaurant chains, cheaper restaurant food, more shopping options, etc. As a young person when I lived there,…those things seemed amazing but matter far less as I get older. \n\nWhen I lived there, I paid a fraction of the income taxes that I paid in Canada but it’s only short term gain for long term pain. The cost of health care, the amounts of gov funded benefits (disability, EI, pension, etc) in the US makes it well worth paying taxes to offset these things as in Canada. I have had cancer 3 times in 5 years and I’ve not paid a cent for treatment, scans, surgery, etc in Canada. My employer held my job for 2 years and I received long term disability of 70% of my yearly wages and my employer paid my full pension and benefits as I was off of work. After 2 years, my cancer returned and was deemed incurable so I will continue to receive this pay and benefits until I’m 65 and can retire as I can no longer work. I have no financial worries as I battle cancer. \n\nTo contrast,…my US employer was a world reknowned hospital that had excellent pay and benefits. Had I been working there when I was diagnosed with cancer, I would only have gotten full pay for 6 weeks until my sick time and vacation time was used up. Then I was eligible for a fraction of my income for 3 months, which would not be enough to live on. I would not have had my pension paid. After that, I’d receive no more pay and my employer would hold my job without pay for 6 months and then I’d be let go. My cancer required nearly 2 years off of work so after 5 months of this minimal pay, I’d have no income, no job and no benefits with a new pre existing condition to ensure that I’d have a snowballs chance in hell of getting future coverage. Meanwhile during that 5 months of some pay, I’d still need to pay huge costs of treatment despite having insurance but that would disappear after I was let go from my job. I’d have to return to work during my treatment just to afford to continue it. I have many US friends that had a similar cancer that worked throughout to cover basic cancer care while I was able to recuperate without working or fearing being unable to pay. There is nothing comparable to this when you are sick. It is everything!\n\nSadly, many of my American friends are very ill informed on how health care works in other countries and don’t see the shortcomings in their own. Ironically though, they are willing to argue it without proper information so I often find that bizarre. While lived there I felt as though I was in a bubble where the only news that I saw was US news. I saw no info or minimal about Canada in my whole time there,…aside from falsehoods about health care to scare people away from seeking change. “Canadians are all dying while waiting”, “they are all coming to the US for care”, “they pay 80% income tax” etc. All propaganda,…some from politicians or those that should know better. It was truthfully mind boggling to me how educated people could know so little about the world. It almost felt as though they heard so much propaganda about how terrible other places were while only having knowledge of the US, that it ensured that things would stay the same without anyone wanting beneficial changes to dysfunctional policies (like health care, cost of meds, lack of gun regulations, etc). Well duh. Is this even a question? My kid is still in school but knows he has no future in Canada anymore. I know I can't stay once I retire either. My other kid just hates it here and wants to leave. That's 3/4 of just one family who won't be staying. We didn't feel like this 10 years ago. Trudeau has destroyed the futures of most Canadians.

It used to be easier to live here. Housing costs doubled in even the past 5 years. Everyone who has lived here for a long time who are not immigrants are facing similar barriers. The landscape here changed so radically that communities feel colder since everyone is forced to leave their community every time they have to move and everyone they know is now an hour away.\n\nCanada is still wonderful in many ways, but inner city life harder, colder and more expensive. \n\nThe amount international students are told they need is based on Canadian averages and not the inner city of Toronto and so many are met with shock and difficulty. \n\nAlthough, locals are not entirely sure why people came expecting things to be easier at the same time struggle was already happening. The policy makers come from rich classes and are very disconnected.

Real estate agents are the biggest culprits in the rise of prices. I’ve been there several times as telling me my house is worth hundreds of thousands more or we can say exaggerated by 30% or more then my house is on the market for a year which is nota big deal for an agent they have 40 other listings and access to more moneymakers , I’ve sold my last 2 homes personally within days or weeks which were reasonably priced not overpriced this made everyone happy . Canada Immigration used to be so competitive 16 years ago. The cause of this mass immigration is the current government who granted visa to developing countries knowingly the fees are not affordable still visa was granted for a cheap labor.People move around seeking better quality of life. The charm of Canada was Health Care, Education. sixteen years ago I had seen my immigrants, and student who came to Canada for grad studies. Canada had a strict immigration rules and having permanenet resident was an achievement, dream felt so privilege.

What do they do next…\nMake settlements… Make big ethnic colonies… make money… send back to their countries.. sees lot of issues like drug addicts, mafias… tries to take the things in their control… become the majority…. Thank God someone cover this thing. I am Indian Sikh moved here with my parents in 2021 and we are permanent Resident. I am disable so my parents thought it would be a great country in terms of opportunities but you know what I have not get any job because wherever I went for interview, there are so many international students looking for job as well. \nBring a citizen, it’s very heartbreaking that other who don’t have PR , still getting jobs.

Who said they don't want to go home? Canada invites international students with a promise to give them PR if they can finish school and qualify using one of the programs. I know because that's how I came to Canada. Unlike the US where it's hard to stay and you need a marriage, in Canada you can use a qualifying job. Usually people sponsored by family to get PR, as well as refugees, are put ahead of international students as well as those on work permits. \n\nIn the meantime, International students over-pay into post secondary, as well as working off campus and paying taxes, but are always last in line when it comes to being granted PR. The rules change so much so fast, it's easy to find yourself out of time and kicked out of the country. \n\nSo whoever watches this will be happy that International students are getting kicked out, but the problem with too much immigration won't be solved because the country is still taking in so many refugees. Right now it's international students getting the axe and are the scape goats in ths game. \n\nAlso, the reason why Canada takes in more immigrants beyond the obvious, is because they want to eventually do away with property rights. So while people can cheer kicking out international students, it doesn't prevent the inevitable from happening, because the politicians took in too many new people.. \n\nAnyway, good luck to everyone, from either side of this debate, it's bad news all around wharever the final outcome.

Why dont you see these type of protests by Indian students in USA. The reason being private colleges in Canada very well know that these students are not here to study. But still these colleges and Visa officers alllow them to enter this country. Twenty yrs back when I came to Canada to study, student visa criteria was very strict. U of Calagry only accepted students from IITs (premiere Indian colleges/uni). Also out of campus work wasnt allowed. Now most of students from India who come here in one building colleges are here to work. Canada should stop out of campus work and the problem will be solved.

Even when they get through, many would still get deported. Next year is our election year and so many are fed up with this immigration issue and may likely vote for conservatives who are much stricter when it comes to immigration. Liberals are trying to rectify these immigration catastrophe as they know they would pay the price with many MPs losing their seats due to their constituencies being overrun by asylum seekers.

I have a great life here. Its gotten harder but life is still pretty easy here for me for now. I had a harder time in the 2008 crisis when I lost my house,job and my family fell apart leaving me to live in a car for a time. Having gone through that I know I can survive anything and be happy so this current crisis doesn't faze me the way it would If I hadn't already gone through much worse earlier in my life. Capitalist systems are built to crash cyclicaly every 8-10 years so if you are struggling now learn from this, adjust your lifestyle and prepare yourself financially for it to happen again in a decade or so and ride the trough out with a bigger financial cushion untill the next crest. When older immigrants sell their old houses to Indians at higher prices then they like the immigrants from India.\nIf they are so against immigration then why they had sold their properties? \nThey knows they can buy much bigger house at other part of Canada and still have money to enjoy further life.\nEveryone is selfish.

I have never quite understood why most Canadians I have met carry this holier-than-the-United-States thing. As it turns out, the biggest source of immigrants to the US in the 19th century was poor Canada and today its people still leave. Canada is not appreciably better than the US, but you wouldn't know from talking to the wanker, deluded Canucks.

For context’ sake, for most of my adulthood I have always been poor & I am born with special health needs (E.g. disabilities).
\n\n\nSometimes on forums we are often contrasted to Canada, for some reason. Both Canada and Australia have remarkably similar problems with a different coat of paint. Sydney, for instance, has always been high up in the list of the cities with the highest cost of living in the world. Usually within the top 10-20. 

COVID-19 obviously made this issue clearer in some circumstances because we couldn't 'work' at all. Unless you were an essential service worker, to mentally block out personal and local difficulties.\n\n\nWe still have not recovered from that 2–3 years global shutdown. The only reason I was allowed to work for a period was because I work for the animal industry and aid in animal welfare. 

I still lost my job due to COVID-19 regardless and knew I would never get a decent job again. Merely just the last poor sod on the boat to be thrown off. 

Could not become a vet nurse despite working very hard. Just because no one wants to give me '2-years permanent paid experience’ to be taken seriously. 

At the same time, way too many employers will happily take 2+ years of veterinary students volunteering at their vet clinic. With the vague promise of a permanent job.

Which, of course, never happens, then say we are being too demanding or spoilt for politely asking for said job.\n\n\nHow are we supposed to pay off our student debt if any financial service expects us to have a per meant job to pay anything off??

 No, they do not want to train nor help you. They just want free labour, then kick you out once your time is up. All my jobs have been casual, and my animal industry has already become heavily casual based ages ago. Permanent job is like looking for a magical unicorn.\n\n\nSo, even if you and your relatives lived in the way outer suburbs of Sydney for decades, being typically considered roughly lower-middle socio-economic families. 

The younger adults and kids all know and have been aware for years, they have no future at all due to having an inflated cost of living. Sugar-coating it, saying it might go in a positive direction, sounds like a blatant lie. We all know it is a lie.\n\n\nNowadays, in contrast to the late nineties and early 2000s when I was just a tiny naive kid that didn't know any better. There seems to be a more jarring split between the income brackets of what the country assumes who is poor, middle class or rich today.

We are considered 'poor' just because my parents do not earn roughly $50,000 — $150,000 AUD a year on their own in 2023. Wouldn’t want any kid to be born in a world where there are no safe guarantees for their future if their guardian unexpectedly passes away or can longer care for them. 

When something does not change within roughly 5–10 years, it is more than simply just valid for us to feel like we cannot fix what has been broken.

If im around anyone with a knife that isnt actively using it to prepare a meal im uncomfortable. I know the knives are for religious reasons and to protect others and themselves. Most of what was reported here is true but the housing market and rents have skyrocketed all over the world since the Chinese government F'd everyone with Covid-19. At first there were supply chain issues with all goods so businesses said we have to increase prices. Once supply issues were back to pre-Covid-19 levels businesses did not & will not lower their prices on goods because , we as a society do not take matters into our own hands and boycott products\\company's etc. Now obviously we cannot boycott all goods & services but the majority we could and that is the only thing that would cause action among companies to lower bank fees, fast food prices, grocery prices, cell plan costs etc.\n\nWith that said, you picked two of the highest and most sought after city's in CAN to rent & or try to buy a home. Although rent & home prices have really jumped all over the world in the past 3-4 years, more affordable (still not cheap) housing, compared to Toronto, Vancouver, can be found all across CAN. My sister & brother in law found an apartment to rent in Winnipeg without any difficulty or waiting. \nThey are immigrants and entered on her student Visa & he is a computer programmer. They are not struggling to eat but they have to follow a tight budget since she cannot work but 20 hours a week as a student and they have 1 kid, a car payment,utilities, cell plan, etc. They have filed for their PR and I suspect they will be approved since his job is in demand and she will graduate from College there in 4 months or so.\n\nOne thing I noticed, when my wife & I went up to get them settled in, is that the government (national & local) taxes you all pay out of the wazzoo on everything! I think the only thing that wasn't taxed was air. ? I know most of this is due to the healthcare system, because the money has to come from somewhere. Don't misunderstand, I like the CAN healthcare system better than the US's, because the insurance companies stick it to us as well, but both have their pluses and minuses.\n\nCAN does have a much easier system for immigration. If my sister & bro in law could have come here we would have been glad for them to stay with us and help them get started but the backlog is just so long to wait (10 + years). I also LOVE CAN because you uphold your laws and DEPORT illegal immigrants instead of letting them pour into the Country, by the millions each year, and the majority eventually trickle into the population illegally, who get jobs & pay no taxes (other than sales tax) no driver's licenses or vehicle insurance and get 100% free medical and hospital care anytime while legal US citizen's pay high premiums, into social security and their income taxes each year.

Just because you had the privilege and the means to be developed does not give you the right to demean other nations. In the information sector and other highly skilled areas, they are present earning loads of money which reverberates to more tax money for the government. \n\nI know that they have major issue with absorbing the host country culture and I believe that can probably or maybe alleviated by having some cultural programs so that they can fit into the society so that the Canadian culture is upheld. It's always difficult to see changes around you and your home being in your words being raided by foreign entities. Guess what? The world is filled with different ethnic groups. Hundreds of years ago all your native homes were part of the indigenous people here and they didn't even have time to complain or lament online when the Europeans butchered them and massacred their homelands, claiming the land and setting up as their own. Now you are in a position to call something your home and we all know what all your ancestors did regardless of how good you are right now. The least you can do is not comment such provocatively online against other ethnicities or is this atrocity still there in your blood. It's very simple. Try to think beyond frustration and be grateful for what you have. \n\nBy the way I can write more but I don' think it's worth my time but maybe positive things can happen if you put your mind into.

The crazy thing is that some Canadians still have faith in Trudeau's party or just have too much trust in the government that they can turn this around. I want to see this country prosper but every few months I just keep on seeing new policies that the current government makes that just doesn't make sense.\n\nFew things to mention\n- No more investment in more roads by the federal government (I understand they want essentially to have citizens use cars less but they haven't provided a plan on how that money would be invested? I have yet to see trains being invested to connect cities such as High speed rail?)\n- Increased carbon taxes (most premiers were against this but they negged it on)\n- proposal and voting for Increasing taxes on capital gains (impact business that invest in Canada)\n- This is a positive thing but also happened because they polls went to the dump (increased investment in housing) and then decrease foreign student admission for future years ( I think this is where liberals say they have hope, but it's at a point where they messed it up and now are trying to fix it to make it look like they are fixing someone else's mess\n- The government is also just adding more policies we can't afford such as Dental plans for certain incomes, food in schools while the free health care doesn't really feel worth the taxes when the quality is not there. ( This is how they want to be the good guys when the conservatives need to cut costs to help resolve this mess)\n\nThe liberals are kind of like that guy in the family that takes a loan, pockets some money for corruption, then gives money away to charities saying I'm the good guy, and then doesn't know how to pay the loan back so asks for their family to help fund the debt.

Still, as Muslims we are suppose to know why is he pointing a finger to us. Maybe he does not know who Muslims really are. He needs to be informed.

I find it ironic that the 2nd largest country on Earth, where 99% of the land is empty, has such ridiculous housing problems. You know something is wrong when you have so much free space and still people are forced to pay insane amounts to live in a shoe box
