Quality of the Indian crowd has deteriorated since I left Canada in 2017. Educated Indian people are leaving Canada because they are struggling to make ends meet due to lack of opportunity in Tech and many other fields. Do you think that they are going to work in odd jobs? On top of that they get these for free: extremely cold weather, lower wage and crazy inflation. Its good that people are exposing Canada and only crude, uneducated and raw Indian crowd that is coming and settling here. Your politicians and education system deserve to be blamed. Your colleges and universities betrayed International students who wanted to work in their own field of choice by promising them every possible help. Unfortunately most of the students realize this only after living there for a few years. By that time your universities and colleges have already gulped the money paid by the international students. They don't care if you die on streets or remain homeless or go back to your own country. STOP COMPLAINING.

*shrugs* Canadian here. No interest in leaving, especially to the US of all places.\n\nI mean think that through. My income tax is around 17% of my income. My capital gains on investments is around 15%. I get free health care (which while obviously not free - is paid out of my taxes, yet isn't rationed or in-network restrictions, doesn't have copays and cover 90% of my medical needs). I have a government that even at its worst, is orders of magnitude more rational and public serving than the US (and god help you if Trump gets back in). Not to mention a country that doesn't literally have a major gun violence/mass shooting even EVERY FRICKING WEEK, unlike the US.\n\nAnd yes, I live in Metro Van and I have an 850 sq ft two bedroom apt I'm renting for $1250/mo - so maybe the problem isn't simply that the housing market is too tight (which it is), but that you've picked a city in high demand that's boxed in on four sides - ocean to the west, mountains to the north, US border to the south and what little farmland the lower mainland can sustain to the east. You could, of course, move elsewhere in Canada like Edmonton or Calgary, but yeah...not whiny enough, I guess.\n\nSorry, you're entitled to you views of course, but I can't help thinking most of your problems are self-inflicted... so yeah, move to the States.\n\nI'm SURE it'll work out better for you....

i been home less 6 years now in thunder bay ont i work most my life i help others gave money,now you think i can get help not a chance,and yes everything is about money we like fast food.i can get help as i clean and sober now for over 3 years witch i done myself,no clinics just hard work in the bush keep me right,our goverment is about the money they all make money off us its sad that our people suffer they need to step up help us and look food banks i see them there new clothes phones cars all together claim for ten people there takes me hours to get food so i stop going his life not easy and the goverment and agencys make money off us sad so sad

Not only is it it impossible to live here, there are no resources unless the government gets something from it. As an indigenous child who grew up in foster care my whole life, there was no indigenous foster care homes for me to go to and therefore my culture has become traumatic for me. My OWN culture has major trauma related to it and my foster care agency would NOT help me unless I moved to the reservation after I aged out the THEIR system, which was not applicable because they were the ones who traumatized me. When I turned 19, I was expected to have it all figured out, I was not allowed to remain in my foster home afterwards without massive paper work and thank god my foster mom cared about me because without her, I would be on the streets with nothing but a garbage full of clothes. I moved out on my own with the help of that family and my agency said they would help with things if I asked. As of the economy now, I did ask them. I asked them for any help at all and my social worker LITERALLY ghosted me and stood me up, even at my plea for help. You would think this is just my case but there are hundreds of cases like mine with even worse endings and what Canada has done with this information is nothing. Foster Care in Canada for indigenous youth is the 2000’s way of Residential Schools and I am EXTREMELY lucky to NOT be homeless and dead. Many of my friends in similar situations are dead or homeless and I have no hope for Canada, it’s an extremely depressing reality.

Ive seen a lot of ppl migrate to Canada and be very unhappy either because of housing situation ( sorry Canada doesn’t have more homes) or because of the weather. I think its important between new combers to communicate the life style in Canada this way ppl don’t feel some way coming here. I do feel Canada offers alot of help to newcomers. Not saying new comers don’t deserve it specially after paying so much but you are paying for they safe life style the study opportunities the environment and fast way to get pr.

Right government - Keeps the country running, preserves culture and makes sure the country keeps growing. \nLeft government - makes drastic unnecessary changes, destroys culture, thinks printing money and free subsidies helps the poor. Make a mess which the next government has to clean.

Most of what was reported here is true but the housing market and rents have skyrocketed all over the world since the Chinese government F'd everyone with Covid-19. At first there were supply chain issues with all goods so businesses said we have to increase prices. Once supply issues were back to pre-Covid-19 levels businesses did not & will not lower their prices on goods because , we as a society do not take matters into our own hands and boycott products\\company's etc. Now obviously we cannot boycott all goods & services but the majority we could and that is the only thing that would cause action among companies to lower bank fees, fast food prices, grocery prices, cell plan costs etc.\n\nWith that said, you picked two of the highest and most sought after city's in CAN to rent & or try to buy a home. Although rent & home prices have really jumped all over the world in the past 3-4 years, more affordable (still not cheap) housing, compared to Toronto, Vancouver, can be found all across CAN. My sister & brother in law found an apartment to rent in Winnipeg without any difficulty or waiting. \nThey are immigrants and entered on her student Visa & he is a computer programmer. They are not struggling to eat but they have to follow a tight budget since she cannot work but 20 hours a week as a student and they have 1 kid, a car payment,utilities, cell plan, etc. They have filed for their PR and I suspect they will be approved since his job is in demand and she will graduate from College there in 4 months or so.\n\nOne thing I noticed, when my wife & I went up to get them settled in, is that the government (national & local) taxes you all pay out of the wazzoo on everything! I think the only thing that wasn't taxed was air. ? I know most of this is due to the healthcare system, because the money has to come from somewhere. Don't misunderstand, I like the CAN healthcare system better than the US's, because the insurance companies stick it to us as well, but both have their pluses and minuses.\n\nCAN does have a much easier system for immigration. If my sister & bro in law could have come here we would have been glad for them to stay with us and help them get started but the backlog is just so long to wait (10 + years). I also LOVE CAN because you uphold your laws and DEPORT illegal immigrants instead of letting them pour into the Country, by the millions each year, and the majority eventually trickle into the population illegally, who get jobs & pay no taxes (other than sales tax) no driver's licenses or vehicle insurance and get 100% free medical and hospital care anytime while legal US citizen's pay high premiums, into social security and their income taxes each year.

I am Canadian.I ask the same question. \nBut you may not know that canada is among those country like US,Germany that when there is a war ,we have to open our hand to help refugees no matter whats.\nI saw refugees have apartment to stay right away. \nI do not what to thinks.

The crazy thing is that some Canadians still have faith in Trudeau's party or just have too much trust in the government that they can turn this around. I want to see this country prosper but every few months I just keep on seeing new policies that the current government makes that just doesn't make sense.\n\nFew things to mention\n- No more investment in more roads by the federal government (I understand they want essentially to have citizens use cars less but they haven't provided a plan on how that money would be invested? I have yet to see trains being invested to connect cities such as High speed rail?)\n- Increased carbon taxes (most premiers were against this but they negged it on)\n- proposal and voting for Increasing taxes on capital gains (impact business that invest in Canada)\n- This is a positive thing but also happened because they polls went to the dump (increased investment in housing) and then decrease foreign student admission for future years ( I think this is where liberals say they have hope, but it's at a point where they messed it up and now are trying to fix it to make it look like they are fixing someone else's mess\n- The government is also just adding more policies we can't afford such as Dental plans for certain incomes, food in schools while the free health care doesn't really feel worth the taxes when the quality is not there. ( This is how they want to be the good guys when the conservatives need to cut costs to help resolve this mess)\n\nThe liberals are kind of like that guy in the family that takes a loan, pockets some money for corruption, then gives money away to charities saying I'm the good guy, and then doesn't know how to pay the loan back so asks for their family to help fund the debt.

@Harrison, there a bunch of holes in your story an thus superficial or lacking, yet has potential to be more Canadian in that you need to differentiate a bit more, attention in the details that you may have missed, votebank, Punjab province certain cluster of uncouth or gang type, instead of drawing in all religions and races and the best educated like how the US does with it, instead of a votebank cluster, that make up only 3% of the Indian population, yet 50% of Brampton, yet Canada is slower to do such. As I hope you know that, in that in Canada a city doesn’t usually choose newcomers directly factors of, ethnocentrism, pricing, etc are.  \n\nIt was or used to be that newcomers in many cases had to move to less populated centres i.e. in Saskatchewan/Manitoba etc, to help make the place more profitable and big as born Canadians usually didn’t want to move there. As your worst nightmare, me Canadian born Indian with a more Canadian accent than yours, yet I speak French yet am from the GTA. You should dig deeper instead of the old squeaky rhetoric repeating, you forget to mention Gurudwaras do have langar known as no charge meal, but you have potential to be known and yet ask people if they or why they are or aren’t willing to integrate. Any colour fair game, aside from asking Ukranian displaced on temporary refugee visa, not bc they are lacking melanin protection, but because their country is unsafe from aggression by a crazy. However, social programs are missing or drug users not willing to take up a program for various reasons. Maybe through proper fact checking, explain how India has over 200 ethnic and linguistic communities and why only one group is province, ethnic/attitude is prominent in Canada.  \n\nAlso do explain that there were many that were here in late 1800’s along with Chinese and Irish making railroads dragged over by British, the same British who invaded lands of established native nations people in Canada. Who are suffering from drug and alcohol problems likely tied to psychologic hurt to their fam or poor conditions, not just saying laziness etc.\n\nAlso to the incompetent people who think Indians only eat curry, which curry is largely a British invention, hence the last name in UK of caucasian people (white) of “Curry”, it is fun to laugh at ignorant or stupid people of any ethnic group bc it signals monkey brain intelligence. \n\nAlso, how about report on the alleged Nazi ties of poorly screened or liars who came from Ukraine circa 1940’s, even alleged ties to some poli in Canadia. \n\nGood street level reporting, just focus on facts and non sensationalist approach for a large win and even ethnics who agree with you.

I think it’s just the normal thing, questions are asked in every port of entry, I came into Canada about a week ago and was asked exactly same questions in Toronto airport all you need is have all your documents handy and be bold in answering all the questions you are asked and be genuine. There is no need being afraid once you are sure of the purpose of your trip then you are good. I’ve been to several countries and it’s almost same questions at every port of entry. God help us.

The intro to the video kind of portrayals your biased doesn't it? You introduced the elections and who one and the state of Canada now indicating your biased that all of our problems are takings to political reasons. People are easily swayed with words sometimes opinions should to given lightly with all factors and not just the ones the help your opinion seem correct. You should include historical events that started the housing crisis in Canada. Even your graph only showed a spike of immigration intake but only AFTER covid but you sway the conversation to think the intake was so different when even your graph shows it stayed the same till covid. Number of those facts would have been more convincing to strengthen your opinion. Numbers are nice but not when it's placed in again, places that help make your opinion correct. In that case, only one side of the story and most facts are hidden this way. I enjoy the pictures though, nice editing. Lots of videos makes it more engaging and not lose people's interest

If i compare Today's Canada with my home country Greece during crisis period(2010-2017), the wages in my country was, and still is crap but the good thing was the extremely cheap housing due to a housing crash. That helped me buy two properties. Now it's almost impossible to be a first time buyer. Now also, especially after covid, the energy cost, food cost, made even people like me who are owners struggling to cover daily costs(living in my own property and renting out the other + working overtime). I decided to move to Copenhagen, but i quickly realised that it's not much better, and i couldn't use my qualifications. Now i'm working double the average person here to be able to afford to buy a sh*tbox in a smaller city, and i cannot sell any property back home bc i will pay a huge capital gain tax as a Danish tax resident. My rental income from Greece can't help to get bigger mortgage in Denmark, but i think my income is enough for anywhere outside Cph. ...i don't want to imagine how Canadian cities, London, Australian cities are for the average renter/1st time buyer!

Why do the white people staying there look low class and lower educated? I think the successful and ambitious whites moved to the states or to bigger cities like Toronto and Vancouver. In a way, the Indians are helping Brampton

Many people might ask how the Liberal government issued so many study and work visas to young Indians, who don't have any particularly outstanding qualifications. It is because they allowed colleges to accept students and some of these colleges were created for the sole purpose of collecting high tuition fees, which wealthy Indians gladly paid for as it gave them a chance to live in Canada and apply for permanent residency. Trudeau (like Harper, incidentally) wanted to win Brampton and the surrounding areas so as to be able to form a government. These ridings could easily flip to Conservative, unlike others in Quebec or BC. Voters in these battleground areas were believed to be willing to vote Liberal, if they could have some representation in Ottawa, especially in cabinet. Even as a member of this diaspora, I think courting this population like this was a huge mistake. \n\nIn the post-war II period, the immigrants that came from Canada, were highly qualified, scientists, engineers, architects -- you name it, that had jobs waiting for them at universities and tech firms. If they were students, they came into Ph.D. programs fully supported with stipends. This generation helped Canada tremendously and made Canada a leader in crop science and microbiology research, just to name an example. Today, many here on student visas are working at Tim's or delivering Amazon packages, or even driving trucks without proper training.

The common reasons why Brampton has so many Indians.\n1) Even in India there are 22 official languages, but unofficial 121 languages with over 700 different dialects. In Brampton, the majority are Punjabi and Gujarati. These names first come from the language they speak, later to the Indian State. Each language represents a culture. In India also everyone feels safe within their community because it is human nature to bully someone who doesn't look the same as them. So, they feel safe within the community. This new Woke culture calls it racism and hate, but I think it is a common human nature.\n2) Helping each other to settle in the same community. So, they prefer to land here first and somehow settle in. The government programs for newcomers are just a waste of taxpayers' money.\n3) Closer to the Airport and Public Transportation is not too bad.\n4) A lot of part-time work opportunities for the students and newcomers. (Not the same under Trudeau anymore)\n5) A lot of activities for parents of the immigrants because they can't learn English or Culture at this age.\n6) Indian Food and Grocery are easily available.\n\nIt was not that bad before, but the latest influx of unskilled immigrants and students with the absence of manners has taken it to an unrecoverable level.

The Arab world won’t take Palestinians in because the last time they did it, multiple riots and civil wars broke out. Palestinians disrupted the Kuwaiti government, tried to assassinate the Jordanian king, disrupted Lebanon by supporting Hezbollah and caused chaos in Syria. The only countries trying to help them are Turkey, who themselves commit genocide against the Kurds, Iran which is a theocracy that has been killing innocent women for just not wearing the hijab, and Afghanistan for obvious reasons. I love that the western people have no clue about middle eastern history and politics and just think Israel is the sole bad guy in this conflict.

well I have to say that this video is yet another white man complaining how the country is when they sat and watched it happen over the past 20 years. BOO Hoo you're the minority now sucks don't it. Not being able to get hired white people homeless living in the streets and entire areas are being taken over by immigrants. WHAT TO HELL HAVE WHITE PEOPLE BEEN DOING FOR 20 YEARS!! I have left Brampton Though I am Indian but migrated to Canada 40 years ago. And seeing the changes. Sad very sad to see culture changing. We left Indian because of crime and it is following us. Government is not helping Canadians. Very sad. Student don’t even gives seats to elders. They do not respect other religions they think they are perfect and Canadians are foolish. I understand that it's difficult but to complain about paying high taxes to help others, don't forget that others may feel the same way about having to pay taxes for immigrants from Africa. You are complaining about the same system that you relied on. You have come to learn how tax payers may have viewed you...kind of a double standard..if I am going to live in another country because I can't make enough money in my own country I wouldn't be complaining...if you are only there to make money and think you can make more in the states you will only work harder for less in the states

Correction if you have a PAL you can own restricted firearms i.e. handguns in Canada. I think gun control doesnt help canadians because most criminals obtain them illegally from the US. Meanwhile crime is going up in our major cities, especially car thefts and home invasions & we dont have laws to use self-defense to protect our homes, and the police wnats us to hand over our car keys to thiefs in contrasts to some US states where you can kill a tresspasser and not go to jail.

I think the best part about Canada that you can't find anywhere else is the people and the landscape. Everyone here is so friendly and willing to help their neighbor. I find when I travel, the world feels much colder than here. Unfortunately it's all these amazing people who are suffering to no fault of their own. I haven't been to a doctor since I moved to Quebec (Born and raised Albertan) and I think it's among the worst of the provinces in terms of healthcare and infrastructure and considering it's the highest taxes in all the provinces. Luckily in Quebec City though it's still very affordable (relative to the rest of the country) but the housing market is still getting expensive here very fast. in 2020 my friend bought an apartment for 300k and within 4 years it's easily almost doubled in value for no reason other than inflation in the market. I love this country but indeed things need to change

Saudi and Israel have a contract that they don’t attack or will help . This all signed by big leaders , you need to know what this is all about some wars was during years and ended , but this is different, Israel has goodsigning to kill innocent people , I think Israel has payed Saudi for not attacking for sure

This lack of access to health care is a new thing. I agree with your assessment. It now seems lonelier in Toronto. \n\nCanada used to be different because anyone with a good job could afford at least a condo, but life became unaffordable not just for immigrants, but for everyone unless you are in your 50s-60s and own a home. \n\nI have friends working double jobs supporting family back home in other countries, but for some of them the family back home sound like they are doing better than them and own a home. It’s like they are sacrificing their life to be in poverty or full of hardships and their families get to go out for dinners and drinks with friends. Not them. Not true for everyone, but for some yes and I worry about their own retirement because retirement in Canada without lots of savings means you might be homeless or forced to live with family even if it’s not your preference. \n\n without investments and savings, it will be hard to beat inflation. Getting into debt and getting bad credit can mean not getting an apartment. \n\nThe birth rate is going down because it is expensive to have kids and income isn’t enough to match with living costs. Getting help from government is really not something everyone gets access too. One person might get housing support, 10 others may get nothing. Different governments offer different things. Programs end and change often. \n\nIn Canada definitely bargain and shop around for good phone plans. one idea is to get a pay as you go until “Black Friday” then every year or two when your good offer expires there will be many others. It’s the time with the best deals saving almost half. For instance, I have 50 gigs for $25 for two years from a large provider. Telephone companies are the one place where people must bargain and even ask for better deals as a must.\n\nThe people you see living in big houses, will have kids that can’t afford the same. This is because prices keep rising. The system protects the very rich, but will also drain the middle class often within 1-2 generations. Do not link your business to your personal finance, or creditors can take your home. Like a McDonald’s where maybe a popular cultural hang out was. \n\nPart of the problem is a lack of mixed income housing areas, so it’s hard to stay living where you grew up. Artists and musicians help make a city great, but many cannot afford to live here.\n\nFamilies and communities staying together means more support for those with young kids and older relatives when they need help. Yet how is this possible in a city that is always pushing out lower income people when wealthier people desire the area. \n\nIn Toronto, every time you move you have to take what is available and that might mean moving an hour away from everyone you know. This weakens communities. Plus, if you live too far from your work you will have no time to socialize for most the week due to travel time. \n\nI think those who grew up in Toronto do have a certain culture of acceptance with others from many cultures, because your friends at school were from all over. But with new migrants sometimes it isn’t until the second generation that their social circles get diverse. This can be isolating and it’s even isolating as those from Toronto eventually leave dreaming of staying in one spot and not forced to move constantly when a landlord investor sells every house you move into. \n\n\nToronto really needs to protect affordability of housing for at least some housing in every section so that people can save money if they live in the city, and not have to leave their communities and be far from their friends and family. \n\notherwise eventually people get sick of the hustle and it’s too tiring to travel 1+ hrs each way to visit someone during Monday to Friday. \n\n20 years ago any professional could at least buy a condo. Not today. There is too much competition now and investors are allowed to buy up all the most affordable housing that once was a pathway to owning a home. \n\nRich policy makers got greedy and destroyed canada and hopefully diversity in leadership will help make Canada better. But they perhaps people knew to Canada can reject this lonely structure and help us rebuild Toronto into an amazing place. \n\nWe need to make sure everyone can afford housing with 30% of their income. I feel like moving as a lifelong Canadian. I love people and love culture. I don't like extremists. \n\nMy problem is simply I don't our government is ethical nor caring to it's citizens, and as far as immigrants go, I am absolutely all for it with a reasonable rate without displacement or a negative sum on people that have built families here already. You can't just say we want to help and not give one thought about implications whatsoever. \n\nWhere I live you can't add thousands of people without thinking about making roards wider or more busses.\n\nWe don't look like idiots, we are. I would disagree with the cost of groceries. I still think it's quite reasonable here. House is outrageous though. I wouldn't say that health care is bad but it's not great. You'll have to wait for chronic issue but for immediate help we do oretty well. I'd ask to look at the life expectancy and death rate to prove otherwise. A big problem is a lack of good paying jobs.

If only instead of supporting wars outside our borders we could fund a war on eliminating drugs. Immigrants to Canada leave for the U.S. because Canada prefers “high value” immigrants (e.g., physicians, engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs with excellent track records, occupations that are expensive to train and/or individually contribute a lot to the GDP) that the U.S. would also like to attract. Not only can many of these people make more money in the U.S., but they often encounter more help and/or less restrictions with professional licenses (e.g., most states have an industrial exemption for engineers, and do a better job at helping foreign doctors and nurses get their licenses to practice medicine). How many times have we heard of a foreign professional reduced to driving a taxi or becoming a housewife when they move to Canada because an immigration official didn’t properly inform the immigrant of the hoops they would have to jump through, and the provincial professional association offered minimal, if any, assistance? \n\nThis PhD student (and others with more academic than lucrative educations) may think he’ll have it made moving to the US but I think he overestimates his value. The small liberal arts colleges that may have hired someone with his background are decreasing in number or changing to a more technical focus (usually to computer science because it doesn’t require expensive labs needed in medicine or engineering). American students are now more critically examining what degrees, if any at all, will lead to better paying careers, and I doubt Myanmar is on their radar as a money-making opportunity.
