I'm a Asian and I always face the racism. At first few times I tried to understand those people and the time gose by. It gets worse and now I don't let those people do that to me. Last time I got discriminated by the U.S.A border protection roll player job. Because of skin color they picked me out from the job. Rest of them are white and no black Latinos nor Asians beside me. I'm sure God will judge them for what they do to others like me.

To me, it looks like Vice is really trying to pull the emotional card to get people to sympathize with this man because he really is in a rough situation. But, he is in a situation of his own making. It sounds like he had not done any prior research about Canada before deciding to claim refugess status. Yes, Trudeau was not giving the full truth when he made those public announcements to the media. Yes, people (educated or not) can be swayed by words of leaders they respect. But, to think you can just enter another country and claim refugee status without understanding what that actually entails is very naive. Canada has very transparent laws that are easily accessable in a multitude of different languages. The provinces also have legal assistance for those who can not afford lawyers. So, the fact that this man was able to spent $15,000 when he is being portrayed as a low income earner makes me question his income, or if he was even aware that he could apply for legal assistance. And since he has a lawyer who has been working his case, I would like to assume that the lawyer would have said something about assistance.\n\nI really want to be sympathetic for this man and his family, because security uncertainty makes life extra hard. But, as I have had to live in more than one country due to the Canadian immigration system refusing my husband due to a very old DUI (which has set our life on a completely different plan than anticipated), I have a very hard time being sympathetic when I feel as though they did not reach out to educated themselves on the laws of another country. I am a Canadian who currently can't live in Canada with my husband of 3 years and I still don't hate my country. I respect the hell out of it (this is not to get into our historic treatment of BIPOC, which deserves it's own seperate time and is a bloody stain on our land's history.)

The first step before understanding a conflict, let alone trying to solve it, is listening. One thing that can be frustrating about “not seeing a problem that doesn’t involves us immediately” is that we are locked in to our own worldview—and it’s frustrating to be asked to change something we ourselves don’t think needs fixing. The importance of just listening, and being witnesses to specific stories, human to human—and being reeducated on the lingering multi-generational consequences of past and current racism is what needs to be focused on, if you are an individual who feels like nothing is wrong. The task is merely to listen—and doubt your sense of comfort, satisfaction and preference for the status quo. Listening, and doubt can lead to change. Collective change can lead to understanding, and even, healing. It is so hard to doubt oneself at this level because “othering” is a very strong force in tribal instincts and dynamics. To be asked to let go of this seemingly real sense of self and group identity can be extremely unsettling, psychologically. I hope that is somehow helpful for people who are reading, in some way. I wish that our education not only reflected history accurately, but also made it mandatory to learn basic principles of psychology.

Maybe if we (the western world) stopped creating so many inequalities worldwide... People wouldn't want to come here so badly. Maybe a little critical thinking and some compassion for others would go further than wasting tax payer dollars on walls and more boarder enforcement. Immigrants will only get more creative to try and get here. Build a wall, they will climb it. Hire another boarder enforcement officer... Sneak around him/ her. The real crisis is the lack of understanding of why these people left their country in the first place. Wake up.

It be better if the face was not covered. Its creates undo fear. It creates security issues. It creates issues with ID. It is difficult to see these migrants as law breakers when you see a video like this; especially the little girl at the end. We forget that these are people like you and me; human beings with feelings. We can't identify with them because we've never had our freedom and safety tested. We've never had to flee our homeland to save our lives. It is difficult to understand but I am willing to try.

By these comments, Canadians hate immigrants even more than American white supremacists. This man is scared for himself and his family. His case is just ignorance. I used to live in Brampton and this is the city where I first landed. No hatred for the city but people have ruined it. I'm a brown guy myself so I can't be racist against my own people and tbh, some of the best people I know in Canada are Sikhs but even they accept the fact that there is a large number of bad apples in their community. Sikhs have played a major part in both positive and negative way, to make and break this city.\n\nInsurance scams in Brampton cost their citizens to pay one of the highest premiums in the country. Generally, drivers in Brampton have no fuckin' idea how to drive because the licences were literally bought. \n\nA large number of people of our brown community always hell bent on abusing the system, wherever they go. We bring the same back home mindset here in Canada rather follow the system. \n\nThe only thing mostly brown community is focused on is how to make money and that's all. Don't try to learn the language, don't like to mix with people, don't care about the laws or anything. They only like to have nice big houses, show off their leased fancy cars and that's all.\n\nI left this city for good and don't regret my decision at all when I see numerous videos about the bad situation in Brampton. I'd love to move back to Ontario but cannot live in this city anymore. Why don't all the nations like US and Canada try to help fix what is happening from the places these people are fleeing, especially if they are murder capitals? They can recruit these migrants to form coalitions to rebuild their nation. What if they are really are going to suffer there, without outside intervention, by being recruited, instead, into gangs or be killed or raped? If we send troops to the middle east for our vested interest, then don't we also have at least some vested interest to send troops in Honduras and El Salvador? We can prevent the entire population from migrating, prevent people from being exploited and hurt while traveling or living illegally and the taxpayers and citizens won't have to pay for court costs, education, healthcare and welfare. There are plenty of things our nation can do to uplift our own destitute and out of luck an alone citizens...with that money. With the money now saved, it can be diverted to cover the costs of our troops, counselors, educators in those nations. Then it is possible and foreseeable to reunite all the undocumented immigrants back to their now safer home countries. I understand why they flee and also understand why the US and Canada cannot absorb these large population of people, and they have the right to determine who is invited in, so....why can't there be more permanent solutions? I feel, certain pathetic political groups are playing these migrants, the law-abiding citizens and others in their game of chess. Lives are not pawns for chess. Is there a hidden path for drugs, money, prostitution that is being quietly supported? Are certain businesses lobbying in the millions and billions to get cheap labor? Is that why this problem is not finally being solved but kept alive for so many years? There are basic solutions that have not been tried in earnest. You cannot just bring everyone in and you cannot just turn your face to the problems these undocumented people face... To those who are against Islam, do educate yourselves and ACTUALLY read AUTHENTIC sites about Islam, meet Muslims and have a DECENT conversation with them, try to understand the religion and then make your decisions about it, don't decide that whatever you hear from social media is automatically 100% true, cuz, let's be real, it isn't always true. Also, remember that there are good muslims, bad ones, extremists and decent muslims. Not all muslims have the same perspective on islam, it depends on the way they are brought up into it. Also, not every muslim minds if you criticize islam, as long as it's in a respective way, like say how a sikh may question christianity or vice versa. There's a reason why Muslims make up a vast amout of the earth's population.

I had a girlfriend came from Mexico and didn't know any English she put herself through college she had an English book and a book in Spanish and that's how she taught herself English was by taking English only classes and then going home and reading the books in both English and Spanish to understand . I don't understand what's the point you're trying to make with this video. i understand what the test is trying to get at but it is very flawed. some questions where too general and not fair. some black people are lazy and some white people are lazy so i cant answer a blanket statement about either fairly....

While I understand people may not like certain groups, but we are all one race and there are no black or white people just different shades of the same color so why do we perpetuate incorrect labeling when everyone is trying to be PC? The UK courts have just imposed restrictive orders on Britain First, a political party, from entering Luton Town Centre. This has been done to appease Muslims as it is an area that has a high Muslim population. The thing I don't understand is that when people come to our country to live and enjoy our way of living, why can't they just follow our beliefs and not try to change them...
