As much as people talked about Biden's cognitive decline, why is it so taboo to talk about Trump's decline? All of this is weird. People, please call your elected officials and tell them we don't want this. Hearing from you before you go to the polls to fire them in a few years will hopefully cause them to do something about the president. I'll say it again, this is weird.

Don’t pick a fight with the US. You want to talk about wars that can’t be won, that’s a war you won’t win Canada. We have hardly lived five years without a war. Don’t go there. We are a resilient nation.

You know we in America don’t need what Canada sells us we can do without your products but we are your biggest consumer and if you do then Canada will suffer and that’s on you make it fair for America . We voted for this and it’s what we want things will go up we know but in the end we will be self contained in America we will be fine we all know we can survive without your goods but you can’t survive without us consuming your goods . Step up or step out pretty simple . How about talk to our president and not to news media talk is cheap work it out with our president he told you what was coming and you had time to make a deal . We in America will be ok but without us Canada will suffer greatly and that’s on you .

What harsh language? He as polite as possible, given the circumstances.\n\nIf you want to talk about harsh language, go to the other side of the fence...

Americans don't want this, donald trump and every single person working for HIM do not agree with this and are truly ashamed of our current fake government. trump wants to de the dictator of America. That will never happen. My heart is broken for what they are doing and we will correct this. Even the people who voted for him are now figuring out that he said everything they wanted to here to get their vote was a lie and would never fulfill his empty promices(go figure). We true American patriots are truly sorry. Canada is our neighbors and friends.
2025-03-04 0
The worst part is it’s the average family household in both Canada & the U.S. that’s going to get hurt the most. This is so shameful. Literally no one wants this trade war.
2025-03-04 0
Awesome!! GO CANADA!! How you Americans voted for this convicted felon is mind boggling!! This is who you want to represent you on the world stage. You've PISSED us off!! No more American goods, no more American vacations,?
2025-03-04 0
Our Prime Minister calls the ?POTUS Donald!! ? Classic Canadian move! You want to disrespect our Prime Minister and our sovereign nation? Let’s go Donald you fool!!!\n??????????????????
2025-03-04 0

2025-03-04 0
We KNOW you don't want this!! WE don't want this!! It's going to take a little time, but FRUMP is not long for this fiasco. He has underestimated the resolve of the American people. The Republican party is also distancing itself from this maniacal wanna-be dictator??
2025-03-04 0
Trump wants all the money to go to his billionaire cronies, we are all left in the dust.
2025-03-04 0
I just stopped playing with friends when they turned into dicks. Now as an Adult I want the border shut to anyone with a US passport. I want it shut to anything coming or going to America. Close the border. \nI'm cool with struggling so the Americans can be independent....
2025-03-04 0
What is going to happen with NORAD? I am Canadian and I would have never expected such nonsense coming from an American president! I truly believe that Trump wants a third world war because he thinks it would help his country’s economy. He is definitely the worst president of the USA ever!
2025-03-04 0
Over half of Americans are uneducated and lots are ignorant too, yes- but the smart ones stuck here are TERRIFIED, we are so f*cking scared that we are going to turn into North Korea. Anyone not from the USA trust the smart ones screaming for help- our government fills our foods with poisons and we are all weak but a lot do want to fight this evil
2025-03-04 0
✅you are going to be out of your office anytime,\n✅maybe the next administration can do better your country Canada, right now Canada doesn’t want you, and USA doesn’t want you as friend ????????
2025-03-04 0
You may not want it, but it is necessary to wake you up. Get other trade partners, DO NOT DEPEND ON THE US. Canada needs to close its borders to illegals , curb the asylum and refugees. Strengthen your Armed Forces.. Get out of the FIVE EYES. Concentrate on the infrastructure, housing, food safety. And do not refer to US as a friend. Cannot be any worse than it is. If only you did not go down to Mara La Go. Matter of days before you leave Trudeau. Think what havoc you created.

Trump wants to annex Canada.\n\nNEVER going to happen. You will NEVER have our country. We are DONE.
2025-03-04 0
Just observing from the outside, the level of stupidity makes me want to bang my head against the table until it turns to mush. But instead, I just laugh because I definitely don't want to go that far.
2025-03-04 0
We cannot trust or believe in what Trump Admin says to us Americans. Please people this is not good for us to be moving this direction. We don't have time on our side here to wait while half of our country blindly follows Trump off the cliff as he plays his tune and yall skip to the music with eyes n ears closed to anything else. I don't want to go down with all of you!
2025-03-04 0
The majority of Canadians here stand with Trump.\nWhy do all these clowns want to keep this war going?.\nIf you want WW3 with Russia so bad have at it.
2025-03-04 0
Its weird logic that Trump thinks 'destroying an economy' is going to make people WANT to join you.
2025-03-04 0
Go Canada! Such a well spoken and rational response to a completely irrational, dumb bully. If you want to pick a fight, this is what you get.
2025-03-04 0
Trump is just a blowhard bully who thinks he’s cool because he’s surrounded himself with the richest people in the world. \n\nHe’s like the nerdy kid in a high school movie who thinks he’s cool because he let the jocks use his house for a party when his parents are away. Except, he doesn’t know that the “cool kids” are going to take advantage of him, raid the liquor cabinet, leave him with the bill for the pizza, and leave the house trashed before they walk away laughing about it. Then mom and dad are going to return with the house in tatters and the kid with Sharpie on his face.\n\nOf course, in reality, Trump is probably pocketing a few million/billion dollars so he and his family can leave the country when it’s all said and done. Trump and his Billionaire Buddies have no desire to make America “great again,” they just want to squeeze the country for every last dollar and leave to another part of the world.

President Trump is not going to listen to you if you are not stopping the flow of fentanyl coming into the US. President Trump doesn't play games with business so you Mr. PM Trudeau are not doing what President Trump asked you to do. The fentanyl flowing in from Canada is hurting American people and it's unacceptable to President Trump. If Trudeau wants to work with Americans he has to stop lying and do what President Trump asked him to do.
2025-03-04 0
Trump wants a weak America to be easy taken by Russia for his Russian friend! Many Americans are stupid they won't know whats going on! A lack of education in America! True!

Nobody is going to want to come to our Olympics in 2028. Everybody will be mad at us and they'll boycott it. Why don't you just give the Olympics to either Canada or Mexico? At least people will come.
2025-03-04 0
American do want this and is willing to pay more to see that bussiness es come to the USA. But most important Americans want Trudo to go. I am willing to bet she. Pierre becomes President things will change for all. You Trudo have committed treason to your own people to the truckers. Forced your citizen l to jab vaccines. Force taxes for green climat change. Don’t you see we don’t want you !
2025-03-04 0
We Canadians are suckers if we're giving billions more to Ukraine. Trudeau needs to go now. As for the tariff, I think we need to strike back hard, and continue the boycott of US goods. If we could, would be great do cut off all energy going to the States, but thanks to Trudeau, we don't have cross country pipelines to do that. BTW, Canada is not responsible for what comes into your country, we're responsible to keep things out we don't want in. That's the way these things are supposed to work, we're not East Berlin.

Trump is a problem to the developed countries but a bitter blessing to the third world countries. Look at African countries they have everything that nature can provide they are capable of standing on their two F... Foot but the US has been like a mother who doesn't want to let her kids walk by there own feet. The US has been dishing the African countries with chocolate that doesn't benefit them with anything this is the biggest course of poverty in Africa. They need to get away from the USA and the rest of the developed countries so that they can create a better African for their people. Trump please cut them all out cut the relationship so that this countries may elect a proper president without the developed countries planting their puppets. Please let them go for once

Anyone who ever was a victim of bullying understands exactly what is going on and how it will end for those who wants to appease/bend to the bully. Yes, it will be painful for Canada, extremely. But you have to get really sick in order to recover stronger than ever before. Zelensky knew the inner workings of how bullies work so he probably knew the white house meeting won't end cordially especially it is occupied by people he has no love for and he understood the lack of love was mutual. I think he'd bent over and wagged his tail if he thought that'd help his nation but knowing that will not get his country anywhere anyways, why would he bend over and try to please someone who was determined to screw him and his country to begin with. Zelensky saw how Canadian prime minister was treated and how he tried to please Mr. T yet to no avail. Yes, Zelensky has no real good, readily available cards to play. If the game is rigged, no reason to play by your rule, is there?
2025-03-04 0
Where the hell is congress? Republicans can’t want these tariffs that are going to hurt their states - do they not have any legal recourse given that the data clearly indicates that there is no justification based on the flow of fentanyl from Canada myth that he’s been pushing?
2025-03-04 0
As an American let me say we don’t want this either! That said, go for it Canada! Don’t spare the rod. Maybe, just maybe if Trump blows up our economy and his supporters lose their jobs and homes and families they will finally wake up and see that fat tub is shit in the White House for what he really is.
2025-03-04 0
Trump started this crap!!! We have to stand firm against this Dictator!! Less than 1% of drugs come from Canada - really that was his reason??? He is such a liar and idiot. If people in Canada don't want to be here and want to join the US - I say GO no one is holding you here!!!! Here is the door don't let it hit you on the way out!!!
2025-03-04 0
As a European i FULLY support Canada against this economic bullying.\nI hope Trump not only puts 25% on us Europeans, but 100%!! Let's go. 2 can play this game.\nTo all my Canadian friends, you can be rest assured that i'll vote for politicians that want to work with Canadians, Mexicans AND Chinese!

Well, I was really interrupted, but my thing is with. Why does the taxpayers have to continue to keep paying out the government's debt? I don't understand these rich billionaires. Don't want to pay their taxes. And then you guys blamed the middle class and the average payers. It's time that the middle class and average payers start going after the government to change your laws or be able to take these people that don't agree with the people that they paid to take care of the United States to get to my office and put someone that does care about the people in. Our country, that's what my whole thing's about right now and Donald Trump don't care. He wants to become a dictator and keep telling you guys and his followers are doing the same. It's time to go after the Republican office that Donald Trump has put together even with Leona's and take all his contracts away from Leon musk and see where he goes now. Instead of charging Leah, unless the area says he uses about 10 times a amount of rental space to do his work. That's what I gotta say, because that's what you guys are doing to the average worker and middle class to pay your guys's b******* bill.\nAnd that's my opinion like it ornet you fucking thieves

Very good summary. I will add that our I know you wanted to be concise and you nailed it. For anyone who is curious about how our politics make everything worse for us federally, let me explain it in a short time.\n\nTrudeau as of the day of this video, March 3, 2025, is STILL the PM. He said he WOULD resign once a new leader was picked through a democratic process. Right now, he's basically just doing photo ops in Ukraine, UK and anywhere else on our dime because Parliament is prorogued and the party in power, Liberal, is having a leadership race. So, while he may resign within the week once that leadership race is done, he's still technically in charge.\n\nWhat makes that race and the PM's prorogation so bad is that we're in the middle of a crisis - several actually - caused in part directly by Trudeau and his Liberals (and the NDP supporting them). The latest would be Trump's tariffs starting today, March 4, 2025. Trudeau always disappears during a crisis, leaving us to fend for ourselves - (1) COVID, he was at the cottage using every excuse not to be accountable for anything or using unconstitutional powers to crush a protest he didn't know how to handle, (2) Chinese spies, he's ignoring our intelligence service, (3) federal worker strike, he's in NYC at some gala.... I could go on but there's a reason we're hurting so bad.\n\nWe have zero federal leadership, and a federal government that makes things worse for us with things like: over-regulation, subsidizing media to keep us misinformed, nerfing select natural resource sectors but favoring others (oil and gas suffer, while coal is fine... probably because we sell it to China, but I digress), letting criminal out of jail, uncontrolled immigration, passing policies like the FHSA that drive home prices higher and higher, and of course, more and more taxes. I could go on about the billions in taxpayers' money the government blows - it's like a black hole - or the fact that MPs keep getting raises - April 1 is their fifth since COVID - and most federal and government employees are all getting raises at a time when the rest of us are learning to get by with less and less because we're taxed so much and housing, groceries, etc. are so unaffordable.\n\nI have applied for US citizenship. I want to stick around to fix Canada, but I think it's too far gone. We have too many socialists/communists in power and they're not getting voted out any time soon. It's been fun Canada, it's been fun.

This woman came in the right way. She's more than welcome in the united states. These are the immigrants we want the ones that work the ones that don't go on welfare.\nAnd fleece the system. Biden's plan was to bankrupt america.

You mention that Americans are 30% more expensive than Canadians but you dont mention that the US is far more unequal with a Gini coefficient of 0.41 vs 0.35 in Canada. Now there is also a known issue with using GDP data to calculate productivity and that is that in sme countries the labor of GDP is much lower than in others. You then end up with Irish productivity being the second highest in the world only because most large US corporations operating in the EU register there to pay lower taxes but most of that revenue is just on paper for Ireland. or with Guyana whose oil and mining revenue makes it productivity equal to that of the US. Maybe that is the case, but is it? and if so why is the average wage in Guyana so much lower? so choosing only one specific stat can make any point of view seem true. you have to look at the bigger picture.\nnow the issue is Canada has been getting more unequal but it is still much better than the US. so what it means is that the higher worker productivity in the US benefits corporations and billionaires far more than it benefits the average American. now if we compare cost of living say between NYC and Toronto:\nCost of Living in Toronto is 37.5% lower than in New York, NY (without rent) \nCost of Living Including Rent in Toronto is 47.1% lower than in New York, NY \nRent Prices in Toronto are 59.2% lower than in New York, NY \nRestaurant Prices in Toronto are 34.5% lower than in New York, NY \nGroceries Prices in Toronto are 33.0% lower than in New York, NY \nLocal Purchasing Power in Toronto is 7.2% higher than in New York, NY \nand this is similar when comparing almost all large Canadian cities with a comparable US one. And whilst housing and NIMBYIsm is real issue you have very similar issues in the US which also has almost no mix zoning. But throw in safety nets and go ask Canadians if they want to change for the US system. I doubt most will. Sure some want things to change but some assuming everyone wants an ultra capitalistic society. most are ok with less growth ut better balanced growth (the exact opposite of the boom and bust US model)

Let us be honest, Indian students go to Canada to become a PR or a citizen! Living standard for ordinary people in India is very poor! Like Chinese, Indians want to live in western countries and bring their relatives with them! Australia has become very strict with foreign students too! You cannot jump from student visa to PR or working visa! Overstayers in AUS will soon be deported too!

The rule in Canada is ‘my adult children cannot afford to buy in the neighborhood they grew up in!…housing prices have to go down!\n\nWhat they really mean is they want their next door neighbours to sell THEIR house for $250,000, but still want their own hose to be worth $2.8 million (after paying $135,000 for it in 1985 - like my older sister and her family)….\n\nSorry it doesn’t work that way….oh, and forget about them voting for parties which restrict immigration - if immigration goes down, so will the regular increases in the price of housing….

The *enormous* problem with this video is the idea that _living_ in Canada is the same as the US! If you want to sell your soul and live in a country with rampant crime, gun-obsessed citizens and essentially zero social safety net, go nuts! Canada has a lifestyle which is far more aligned with Nordic countries than it is with the US; polite discourse, care for the needy and elderly, and a far greater desire for work/life balance. Higher GDP per capita is _irrelevant_ *if you have a basically dysfunctional civil society to go with it* .

We have maintained a high level standard of living, when by all rights we should not have it. Many want to blame government, but one part of the problem is an over reliance as an exporter of raw natural resources and a reliance on generally a single market (USA) for our goods. Interestingly enough the problems have been reinforced by governments of every type. What annoys me most is that these issues have been known for a long time, and the various governments have been scared to do anything about it. And they never took Sir Donald's words seriously - either about the tarriffs or statehood. I have heard zero from any level of government looking for new markets for our goods, yet they have had since November to do something. Going to be a stressful ride for many of us. I am recently retired and wonder if I should be worred.

All joking aside, Canada has been able to form a symbiotic relationship of mutual benefit with the United States since even before NAFTA 1. But.......... right now it is almost like a 51st state and I do not mean that in a joking way. US states are always competing with each other, but what prevents things like, oh say the American Civil war from happening is the Federal apparatus keeps them in line for the good of the empire as a whole. \n\n If Canada is like a 51st state, then it is competing with the other 50 states in a way that all 50 of them are going to get upset about. So either the states complain, or you treat Canada as an economic competitor. Mexico being behind the United States and Canada is what makes it a good candidate for a symbiotic relationship. For all its problems, Mexico has a Christian population (with some indigenous traits) that goes well with America. Their nations different economic status means we can support them and they can support us doing different things for countries of different development stages.\n\nCanada being so similar to the United States will want that as well and will never outbid the United States. Again this is seen as a hostile economic competitor. \n\nIts not Canada or Americas fault. After 2007 and the lies about fanny and Freddie, leman bros, mortgage backed security's, and a cash shortage that was not real. How was it real if the offshore exchanges did nothing? 2007 was not financial in origin it was our global monetary system seizing up. To say Wall Street greed and MBSs did it would be like saying a single drop of cement turned the ocean to cement.\n\nBut something did. Something turned the market from liquid to concrete, it happened in France decades before......\nFinancially packaged items could no longer be priced or traded.

For 2 decades Canadian cities have had a condo building boom (for non-North Americans, a condo(minium) is a building built by developers with the intent of selling off the apartments individually, instead of the whole building being one large rental property - that's a rental building) with the rather strange peculiarity that the bast majority of those condos are small - studios, one bedroom and one bedroom + den (in North American real estate linguo, a den is a small room without a window). There are some two bedroom apartments, and three+ bedroom apartments are very rare. One of the reasons for this is a general mindset that apartments are for singles, young childless couples and retired empty-nesters, while families are supposed to live in a house of their own. Another reason is that some archaic building codes restrict the type of apartments developers can fit in a building. The result of this is that in a country which certainly does not lack space, there are now tons of small apartments (the demand for which has been going down in many areas), but it's too expensive to afford a larger space to buy (whether a house or one of those rare large apartments) once you want to start a family.

If my country doesn't get housing costs under control they're in serious trouble. The average house in the town I live in is something like 900K and there's basically no local economy. With costs so high I can't afford to start a family. If we keep gaining old folks needing healthcare while keeping housing expenses high and wages low taxes will have to keep going up.\n\nI am not going to continue to pay huge portions of my income for the benefit of the elderly while I can't afford a decent lifestyle. I don't want to but it seems moving to the US or elsewhere is the only option if things continue this way. At list point the local governments are so invested in denying housing permits and abusing zoning laws to prevent housing being built that the only way to fix it would be to strip the provinces and cities of the right to decide their own zoning bylaws. \n\nI want to see a change in the constitution that makes zoning bylaws illegal. There are too many people thinking of their self interest and not of the Nations interest. We deserve to lose the right to decide what can be built in our neighborhoods. We have been abusing this right for too long
