I like how people act like Canada is a good country when they are replacing their people in break next speeds and they can hardly afford groceries. Their government is even more corrupt than the United States.
2025-03-04 0
They used to make those fertilizers here in the United States, but it was cheaper in Canada because the Canadian dollar was so low

As an Ohioan living on the Lake Erie border with Canada for 23 years, I am a best friend of your nation and your citizens! Canada is a great friend to the United States! Our President is wrong in thinking that tariffs will accomplish anything good for Americans or the world’s citizens!
2025-03-04 0
Anti-Americanism? Really? This is a direct response to the United States' recent stance against the world itself. Canada isn't at fault, nor should it be held responsible for this trade war.
2025-03-04 0
Both the United States and Canada lose in the trade war, but China wins.

Trump is talking out of his ass. We are responsible for less than 1% of fentanyl. We pay more money to states than states pays to us. We helped with 911, their wars and their California fires. We invested Canadian money, & time & lost Canadian lives. When is USA paying us back ???? . \n\nTrump has sold USA to Russia. He is their puppet. \n\nThese tariffs will tank USA economy. \n\nCanada will be hit, but we will survive and thrive. \n\nTrump has united Canada. We will buy Canadian, support Canadians and create more Canadian jobs. We need to keep boycotting anything American. We need to raise prices to all products going to USA on top of tariffs & consider not selling some products. We need to make relationships with other countries who support Canada. We have pressure minerals, and oils. Let them figure out how to get them when Canada steps back.
2025-03-04 0
I encourage citizens of Canada to not purchase anything from the United States. If any products from the USA come to Canada I hope you will refuse and turn away any products.
2025-03-04 0
Other countries need to learn to respect the United States of America. You need us we don't need you. Canada leaders are traitors wake up or don't come to our country.

To the uneducated liberals in the comments, Canada already has a 270% tariff on American goods and has for the last decade with Donald Trump did was put reciprocal tariffs on Canada toQ further balance, the imbalance so you guys being upset that President Trump isn’t acting tariffs on a country who’s already enacted tariffs on the United States then you’re being hypocrites. \n\nSee most of the world audience understands this you guys are actually the minority. Donald Trump is pulling at 60% in United States. The Democrats are pulling at 21% in United States. Just so you guys have an idea of just how unpopular you guys really are.

Canada should suspend all the things they did to tighten the border. In fact they should go the other direction. This trade war is going to hurt the good people of Canada, and resources used to help the united states could be better used helping Canadians. Trumptards only learn when they touch the hot stove.
2025-03-04 0
So, let me get this straight.\nYou decided to start enforcement against drug Cartels operating in Canada and drug trafficking from Canada into the United States after January 20th 2025.
2025-03-04 0
It hasn’t been fair trading between the two in a while, time for a Canada to cough up some money they have had the fair share for some time now and if Canada thinks they win this trade war they are sadly mistaken. United States calls the shots, they are the power house not Canada so good luck Canadians. Your hate for America will only hurt you.
2025-03-04 0
I am from the Dominican Republic, but l live in the United States. l feel proud to be part of this great country, and I stand with Canada
2025-03-04 0
Trump did,not the majority of the United States, trump is the worse president we have had in decades. please do not blame all the American people. We don't want this either. I am so sorry this happened to you and Canada.

Canada ?? = Land of the United States Citizen War Draft Dodgers

The United States is a friend to Canada but Donald is not a friend of Trudeau. He is a friend of Putin and every move he makes is toward that friendship. Congrats Republicans, this is your fault.
2025-03-04 0
Canada is weak and couldn't defend it's own boundaries without the united state of America

I am a retired U.S. Marine. I love the United States and I recognize Russia as a mortal enemy. I cannot support President Musk and Vice President tRump. I stand with Canada and Ukraine. America is the aggressor against our friends in Canada, I am ashamed. Just know that most of the United States stands with Canada and Ukraine even though some voted for the tangerine menace.

Unfortunately, in this speech, all J. Trudeau has shown is that Canada can be forced to implement irrational and costly programs (fentanyl/border security) while otherwise listing off every reason the United States has for annexing Canada. Canadian vulnerability is on full display and there are going to be plenty of famous ex-pats and wealthy citizens, who are already silent, and will soon be quietly, then vocally, supporting it. The Trump administration doesn't think Canada is a legitimate country and unlike Mexico, they feel it can absorb its demographic easily. This is how Anschluss works.
2025-03-04 0
Canada….We DON’T need you at ALL. The only reason you’re still Canada is because of the United States. Fugging less than country. ?
2025-03-04 0
America does not fear you. We have no dependence on Canada beyond the expectation that it secures its border and refrains from exploiting the United States.

Dont forget Canada applies tariffs on a variety of goods imported from the United States, but the specific goods subject to tariffs can vary depending on the trade agreements in place, as well as individual circumstances and trade disputes. Some of the key categories of goods that have historically been subject to tariffs or trade restrictions between the two countries include:\n\t1.\tAgricultural Products:\n\t•\tDairy products: Canada has a system of supply management in place for dairy, poultry, and eggs. As a result, certain U.S. agricultural products, particularly dairy, face higher tariffs when imported into Canada.\n\t•\tPoultry and eggs: Similar to dairy, tariffs are applied to U.S. poultry and eggs under Canada’s supply management system.\n\t•\tBeef and pork: Canada has historically imposed tariffs on U.S. beef and pork, although these are often adjusted or reduced under trade agreements like the USMCA (United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement).\n\t2.\tSteel and Aluminum:\n\t•\tCanada imposed tariffs on certain U.S. steel and aluminum products after the United States imposed tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum in 2018 under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962. However, in 2019, both countries reached an agreement to remove some tariffs, although certain products may still be subject to tariffs or quotas.\n\t3.\tLumber:\n\t•\tSoftwood lumber is another contentious issue in U.S.-Canada trade. Canada has faced tariffs on its softwood lumber exports to the U.S. for many years, and there have been instances where Canada has applied retaliatory tariffs in response to U.S. actions.\n\t4.\tConsumer Goods and Electronics:\n\t•\tSome consumer goods, like electronics, furniture, and vehicles, may have tariffs or duties imposed depending on the category, though the majority of goods between the U.S. and Canada are traded tariff-free under the USMCA, which replaced NAFTA.\n\t5.\tAlcohol and Tobacco:\n\t•\tCanada applies tariffs and duties on alcohol and tobacco products imported from the U.S., but these are often subject to specific regulations and agreements.

You (Canada) cannot bully our President Trump. You will not win. The United States doesn't need you.

As a European having lived in both Canada and the United States for prolonged times, my view is this: Canadians are basically the same as Americans but with Health Care. They have a common heritage and history and this is like a brother turning evil and hurting its siblings. Trump is smart? I don't think so, he comes across as a low IQ individual born with privileges, heck he has been bankrupt what is it four times? Right now he thinks he is making America Great again but instead he is on a path to bankrupt even the US Economy. These kind of things in history often have caused actual physical War and he talks about Zelenski is toying with a 3rd world war. Wouldn't it be funny (and not in a comical sense) if in fact Trump causes the 3rd world war with his actions instead?

He left out how Canada was already charging the United States 300% tariffs… So did CNN… go figure… Enjoy getting wrecked Canada ?

I'm sorry, Canada. I don't have much, but tell me where I can help. We are the closest allies, and should be best of friends. Canda is beautiful, and the people are awesome, friendly and polite. I mean, Molson is not so good, but y'all are awesome. GOD BLESS CANADA. GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES.

Canada needs to look forward to partnering with Mexico instead of the rotten united states of north america (not of America ?) just emphasizing that the u.s. do not represent America! ??

Canada President was right about protecting his country, but his wrong about Trump, he not a smart guy….. he’s a Russian sympathizer trying to take over the world….. I’m embarrassed to have him as our president United States.

The law enforcement agency leadership in the United States that Canada is working with, involving drug trafficking and organized crime , is being fired and let go by the MAGA administration?

I am a military veteran from midwestern United States and a former intelligence analyst from the end of the cold war... we are friends with Russia now? F*ck you Trump and f*ck you Putin! God bless Canada, Mexico, Europe, and especially Ukraine! I hope to see my true friends resume good relations with us when this f'n cartoon of a president is out of office.

The Executive Branch of the United States is occupied by the biggest f*ing elites on the entire planet, Putin's pet kleptocrat Trump, his foreign oligarch boyfriend Elon and a clown show of a cabinet. The most incompetent US administration of all time. Thanks Mitch McConnell and Merrick Garland. Lindsay Graham. Josh Hawley. Chuck Grassley. Canadian born Ted Cruz, who doesn't even defend his wife, much less the country. Leadership like that does not belong in NATO, it's what NATO was meant to protect us, Canada and the United States, from.

I stand wth Canada, as trump alianates and isolates the United States.

I’m so disappointed. It wasn’t the United States it was tRump. I’m so sorry Canada .

_So, The Orange Liar replaced NAFTA with the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) in 2020. Which was designed to create a fairer trading system between the 3 countries. Wasn't THAT supposed to make things better?_\n\n*Fentanyl was first synthesized in 1959 by a Belgian chemist and later marketed as an intravenous analgesic drug, Sublimaze. While Mexico and China are the primary source countries for fentanyl and fentanyl-related substances trafficked directly into the United States, India is emerging as a source for finished fentanyl powder and fentanyl precursor chemicals.*

As an American, I fear for the future of the United States. I am appalled that Trump won the Presidency. I am appalled that people voted for him. I stand with Canada.

Let us not forget, that there is also a boycott of travel to the United States which means there are billions of dollars that will not be spent on travel, on accommodation, on the purchase of goods while in the States because there is no longer vacation or travel being done by Canada. That is going to be hundreds of billions of dollars lost to US coffers. This is going to hurt America deeply.

As a Frenchwoman with friendly ties to the United States and Canada, I am horrified by what the Americans are doing to the Ukrainians. And I think this trade war is a splendid gift for the Chinese. What's happening to the leader of the free world ?
2025-03-04 0
Don't say the United State, say dumb Dump and his team....I'm with Canada, Justin Trudeau & John Ford. It's going to hurt us I hate what that idiot is doing not only to us but to Canada & Mexico. Just a pathetic source of junk taking up space on earth.
2025-03-04 0
We don't want this either, Canada! We are appalled of Trump's actions, and are looking to leave the United States before we are forced to bow down to Putin! We love you, Canada!!!
2025-03-04 0
We need to add export taxes on all petroleum products and electricity transfers to the United States from Canada .. Do it Now ..

Canada: There are plenty of Americans 100% with you and the rest of our allies. These are not my presidents (we apparently have two) and my sincere hope is that they will not only be removed from office very soon, but thereafter tried, prosecuted, and imprisoned for high treason against the United States and for defrauding its people. Those of us not fully brainwashed by the right-wing propaganda apparatus are seething with rage and focused on fast and appropriate justice, however it must be achieved. This criminal behavior masquerading as politics will be punished to the maximum extent of the very laws that are being scoffed at by Trump, Vance, Musk, and the rest of the mafioso GOP. History will correct those that choose to remain in tow to lawlessness and treason, and oligarchic fascism will not hold sway in our nation. Let this moment be a powerful reminder of how fragile democracy is and how vigilant we all must be to preserve it.

This is a leader Canada can be proud of, unfortunately look what we have in the United States. A complete disgrace

I think Trudeau missed the memo on what reciprocal tariffs mean! By the way we don't need Canadas energy when they Say they're going to so-called turn off the energy to America that means literally nothing five minutes of research will tell you that the United States does not need Canadas energy! Absolute empty threat!\n\nBy the way to anybody in the comments section that doesn't know what they're talking about and just listens to cnn so far these tariffs have secured 1.7 trillion US dollars in just three months brought manufacturing back to the United States honda is now leaving their location in Canada and building in the United States same with American car manufacturers in Mexico. \n\nWe won and I find this so funny you guys are flipping out we have socalled Americans joining Canada's side just because they're anti Trump. absolute clowns!

Question for citizens living in states of Washington, Oregon and California. \n\nHow many of you would consider seceding this Union (formerly called the United States) to become a separate nation? Or be open to join Canada as the 11th Province? \nImagine now trade could be done directly with Mexico!!! \n\nEnough thumbs up and maybe we could start a “Petition”. I would be open (a DON scientist recently fired by Musk/MAGA) to collecting the data and involving lawyers to draft the petition.

I wish Rump would just GO AWAY ... and take all of his repubs with him !! United States is now the a$$hole country !!!!!! Thank you for everything, Canada. I support Canada and Ukraine !

Tariffs on China and Mexico but not on Canada. China, Mexico and Russia are the main enemies of the United States not Canada.

The United States ?? doesnt owe Canada anything. Thats Canada's problem now. Everyone is getting charged

Canada's only got a 63,000 soldiers that isn't enough to protect Maryland let alone Canada we get billions of dollars to protect a foreign country and never asked anything in return Donald Trump ask Canada to help secure the border on Canada side and they are complaining throwing a hissy fit it would be one thing if Canada was providing for itself without the United States. And refused to do such a small little task. \n\nBut when we are giving billions of dollars to Canada's defense and they throw such a hissy fit over a little bitty test it's time to stop all trade with them. \n\nThe armed citizens of the United States to invade Canada, I mean think about it. 63.000 soldiers is all that's protecting Canada \n\nIt would be absolutely nothing for the US citizens to take Canada less than 1% of the firearms in the United States
