It's hard for other of non colours to rent off them the same. Everyone i've had as landlord very shadey and walk in your hom whenever they want!! Yes they have!!!!!

I’ve been accused of racially profiling someone. Because my coworker asked them if then needed assistance & then I did without realizing she already had. She thought we were the same person. I guess because we are both white with brown hair? Felt awful afterward. Not sure why people would even think to spy on people of colour whilst shopping. Usually (in my experience) the people who steal seem sketchy - they won’t make eye contact, are standoffish etc. Those are the people to keep an eye on. You’re just wasting your time otherwise. I get followed quite frequently. It’s pretty funny because I’ve never stolen anything from a store in my life

My mother's background is ambiguous based on looks. She's actually English and Irish but she has dark brown hair and dark brown eyes and naturally tanned skin. It's very unusual for someone of British ancestry, but family photo's of Mum's family show the same colouring back to her great-great-grandfather. In Britain, as a blonde, blue-eyed daughter, I've watched my whole life as people treated her differently to other relatives. She's quiet, polite and her father was a police chief inspector, she strictly obeys the law. I've overheard people refer to her as a 'paki' and all sorts of derogatory things. When we went to the US, it wasn't better. They were rude to her until she spoke and then reacted with shock. Some admitted they thought she was Mexican. \nSo, is it any easier for her in Canada? When she visits me here, she is mistaken for an aboriginal. It isn't any easier for her here. And pettiness of it all. When they hear her accent, suddenly it's like she's their best friend. \nThe sad/funny thing is, often I can't find customer service more than half the time I'm out. When I'm with my mother, there is ALWAYS someone around to ask for help.

coloured people hate white people too so don’t feel too bad sometimes we call them pink chickens

Just allow islam to grow and let it be turn into mass of 20% then they'll gona show their real colour. Like they are doing in India. Street demonstrations, radicalised Islamic slogans and vandalising public properties will become the part and partial of daily routine.

When I see people indulging in racial profiling or discrimination I wonder if humans are actually that dumb ? Treat differently just because someone has a different Colour ? Why is speaking in English so imp even if the one speaking is talking dumb ! ! \nAren’t bilinguals more intelligent and attractive ? I have lived in Toronto for 3 years racial discrimination exists but is subtle ! Am brown take me for your next experiment ?

It's exactly the same here in Australia for us natives . They watch you like hawks when we walk into a department store . Can't get work because of the colour our skin . Profiling doe's happen & often .

Problem with whites everywhere is that they don't want to have children. They have a lot of money and time but they want to use their money for enjoyment and their time for tourism. When they see a Muslim woman with 5 children they become indignant and claim the Muslims are taking over Europe. The dilemna is that the whites are worried about the future of Europe and America but they flood their countries, willingly, with women whom they bring from Thailand and all over Asia. White men marry more and more coloured women from Asia and Africa and less and less women from their race. So if white population is shrinking in the world it is because of their arrogance and irrationality .

AMAZON CAN SOLVE THE NUISANCE.BUT THERE WILL BE ROOM FOR OTHER....\n\nI BELIEVE WE ARE NOT ALL WELL BRED AND ARE ALLOWED AS CHILDREN TO BELIEVE ASSUMPTIONS TO BE REALITY. Don't believe on muslims. They will be secular when there no. is lessor. But when they get overpopulated you will see there actual colour. They have ruined every country they moved in. Islam is cult on the face of this world.

Any person of colour in Canada already knows this reality. Only people that need 'convincing' or 'proof' are white or white-passing folks. Why is it so hard to just believe minorities when they keep telling us this is happening.

Racism is reciprocal, just the way it is. It's not colour that pisses people off, it's mannerisms and culture. Many don't mix. just the way it is. Try this experiment in reverse, but no CBC wouldn't do that. CBC had a conclusion in mind, then twisted their narrative to that.

Canada was founded only for white Europeans. It was never intended for people of colour. Even the indigenous aboriginals and enslaved Africans who were and are part of the story of Canada but written out of the official Canadian history books are not wanted here either. There is a secret plan to ethnically cleanse the country by eventually removing all people of colour from the country. The United States is also moving in that direction. The profiling is intended as a micro aggression to make non whites feel uncomfortable and mentally damaged and to push immigrants of colour out of the country.

First you are a human being, then you are an Earthling, and then you are from any country. Colour is immaterial.

since we never had slavery. in fact were a sanctionary for slaves, how is it any different from Indians, phillipianos, or any other immigrant of colour ?

Sucks that I go inside an Indian store with my family and people stare and the nerve to ask if my Guyanese husband is the father of my children. I am light skinned Hispanic and my kids took after me with skin colour . Just mind your own business. He ignorance of some people. Peterborough is better .

Adding further more and knowing the real truth of what started it all was people’s taking advantage of another race and doing what they have done and not even feeling one bit of guilt and just cannot face there demons.but god will be judging them on the second coming and I would and will give my life for him and for the cause of people of my colour .if any comments who don’t agree?,please check your history and know where your coming from and know your history before you handle me of facts not made up fiction.seek the truth within yourself and it shall set you free.

I hate that at my work that we have a 5 foot rule; if a customer is within sight in 5 feet of you, you are to ask them if they need help with anything. Whether or not we suspect them of stealing. We don't discriminate racially, we do this with every person who walks into the store. Which is ridiculous because our store is very small and we have anywhere between 3 and 6 employees on the floor at any given time. So, inevitably, every customer is offered help many many times in their visit. I am always worried that a person of colour will think I'm profiling them, when I'm really not. I genuinely just want to know if they're finding everything they need or have any questions. If we were to racially profile based on the people who have stolen from us in the past, we'd be going after every white person who walks in the store. In my 3 years working there we have had only white people steal from us. So sick of the race issue, we're all humans. The amount of melanin in our skin should not matter.

Racism...even from Asians against black people, but they do not talk about it. Racism... even from black people with light skin against black people with dark skin. (Just watch how many black girls with dark skin have opportunities in US, and compare with black girls with light skin). Racism...even from black people against they own skin colour ( the pandemy of bleaching skin). Racism... even from white people against people with diferent races. This problem must be addressed from many perspectives.

I was in Hungry Jacks the other day and to my surprise in came three muslim women wearing the full burqa.\nThe burqas were festooned with gold stitching and of bright colours, blue, green and silver.\nSo it just goes to show that…….the burqas are better at Hungry Jacks.

Shopper Drug mart in TD Square-Downtown Calgary. I get racially profiled there all the time. It was busy one night while I was trying to buy something and I saw two people steal items right under the nose of the cashier. Since I get racially profiled there all the time I just watched the whole thing play out and laughed. Now I just bug the heck of the people following me: I ask them to look for stuff for me all the time. I don’t like the attention but I’ll make them work. And the people who do the racial profile are often people of colour, smdh! And the owners of most of these shoppers drug mart in Calgary are Chinese.

I m muslim i m proud of that u can see when we pray anyone can lead the prayer despite of skin colour no racisim in my relegion.i beleive if a black muslim is more pious then me he is better then me in the eyes of God.all blacks r my brother and sisters we have same dad and mom adam and eve thats it

I won't discriminate you by your skin colour and I will not treat you like a lesser being for having different skin than me. But I do not have to give respect to religions I don't respect. I will have the courtesy to not belittle you for your religion but that is as far as common courtesy will extend from me.

I have myself experienced racial discrimination many times of last 12 yrs that I have been in Toronto CA and I am from India, especially in the neighbourhood Walmart they thought I am a thief or so...it really awkward experience every time, even in random stores I have visited I have noticed same person or two of them passing around many a time and if I wanted to go slow on shopping believe me there will be really a panic in the store. I have experienced this innumerable times in WALMART SUPERCENTER in my neighbouhood and other places also. So this is very true that my name and colour of my face matters.

Profiling exists with whites too, but it has to do with appearance, class and perceived intelligence; it isn't all about colour or race.\n\nI am a larger guy, with a shaved head and a beard. Sometimes I wear a suit and sometimes I am in jeans, a t-shirt and/or a leather jacket. When in a suit I am treated completely differently from when I am in my motorcycle or bumming around clothes. It is a fact that people profile everyone based on appearance, language (verbal ability), and how they are acting. Unfortunately, a person with visible differences, such as skin colour, can't change into something that attracts less attention, but, a black man in a suit is still less likely to be profiled than one in everyday clothes.\n\nAlso, I am well spoken, which makes a difference in the way I am treated. If you speak in a way that makes you sound less educated or of a lower class, then you are treated differently.\n\nTry sending in a white guy who is less clean-cut and less well-spoken and see the difference in the way he is treated. Have him act a bit nervous, look around a lot, or appear to be less than middle or upper class and see the difference in how he is treated. I guarantee he won't get good offers in those apartment buildings, if he gets any offers at all.\n\nA friend once told me a story about a friend of his who was very well off. This man went into an exclusive car dealership to look at a car on display. He didn't like to appear as well of as he was, so often wore simple jeans and t-shirt. When he asked the price of the car, the salesman took one look at his clothing an told him he couldn't afford the car. White profiling at its finest.

There are some impressive black scientists who have really turned up the dial. Lets focus on that like this video does.

The most racism I experienced in school was from teachers. Its the most profound kind of racism, because they are authority figures. The thing is when your fellow students display racism it doesn't have the same gravity as it does when your teacher does it because you know your teacher does know better but they truly believe it.In University, I actually had a teacher give a lesson that was so tinged with racism that it really broke me down, because what I've come to realize is that so many people think that being racist is saying actual racist words and don't understand that perpetuating stereotypes are the most prevalent forms of racism.  It is demoralizing because it feels like a losing battle when your teacher is perpetuating racially disparaging ideas to an entire class, and you think about how many people are going to be influenced by that idea and in turn perpetuate it. I realized that this teacher really insidiously believed what she was saying was true, but that it just wasn't politically correct to say it. The main principle of white privilege is that white people get to be individuals but people of colour get grouped together by the most base stereotype of their race.  I don't think Black-focused schools are the solution. I think more integrated schools with diverse populations of students and teachers are the solution.\n Then there are concrete issues of race, space and the law. For example when you come to realize that carding continues in Toronto, and that most residents do not care that young Black men are being harassed and treated like criminals by the police because it does not affect their community, it makes you wonder if people are only inclined to feel empathy for those who look like them.

Never ever there is no solution for racism period that is the truth people in colour you should be strong struggle to live with racism

There is a Jewellery shop in China town that lets only White Guy though the store is owned by Asian as will never let the Asians in or coloured people in.

Since I was a kid I hated my brown tan sun kissed skin...i wanted to have snow pale white skin i always thought it was beautiful...i still do..at times i still hate my skin colour but slowly trying to accept that I am beautiful the way I am.

I do appreciate what was said in the show but there other types of discrimination by employers, landlords, stores. It can be how you dress, how you wear your hair, what colour your hair is, if you have tats. For employers, your medical history: I was refused a job at a bank because my grandfather was epileptic and it was thought that I might have the problem. When looking for an apartment or house it really all depends on the owners frame of mind on that particular day, not your references. So it is invasive in all of our lives. Human nature is not all good.

For those who are racist ,they should know their great great grandparents were refugees in Canada.The Native Canadians, opened their door doors and did not treat them with negativity. Racism is wrong.Racist are evil.

SHOPPERS DRUG MART TEST: Leeland walks in with a big open shopping bag, very obviously looks left, then right, and of coarse he was under suspicion immediately. He looked like someone who walked into the store to shop lift. CLEARLY HE WAS PROFILED, BUT NOT BECAUSE OF THE COLOUR OF HIS SKIN, BECAUSE OF HIS BEHAVIOUR. Well done Leeland, you gave them exactly what they wanted.

I'm sorry these guys were discriminated against but has any white Caucasian travelled to an Asian country or India., well if you have, you will find that we're the ones discriminated against. It's happened to me several times and it's wrong no matter where you are. Judge on actions, not colour.

I love those who stand up for others to risk there life ,I am a Pakistani lady living in Canada for 47 years ,lucky me on one say Any thing to me when they ask me where I came From ,I say Palistani My Look is confused them ,My skin coller tea colour !

Recently I had a very uncomfortable time shopping for a sofa. I shopped for a couple weeks, looking around the many furniture stores in my neighbourhood. I thought I was maybe crazy but after a couple trips back to a few of the same stores I could tell a few of the stores didn't want to deal with me because of my skin colour. I hate racism and intolerance.
