So those disbled , elderly, veterans and drug addicted people who are being displaced are being forced to smaller communities that don't have the infrastructure in place to cope with so many displaced people. Then you end up with a huge issue of Homeless people trying to live in Tents in the middle of winter. j You have a vast number of elderly women taking to van life because they can't afford to live any other way. Would you like to your Grandma living in Van, constantly on the go? YOu are being UNAmerican in your news reporting, when you fail to give fair reporting and do equal amount of investigating into who this actually affects amount the American people. Far as I am concerned you need to be shut down, because you are enemy of the US.

just deceived by a new Indian immigrant, and it feels terrible. About 10 days ago, I posted an advertisement for a parking spot rental in front of my apartment condo. I then received a call from someone who said he had just moved here from India and needed a parking spot. I explained that parking spots here are rented on a monthly basis. He said that was fine, but he wanted to first pay only for the days from October 24 to October 31, and then he would pay for the following month. I thought that was acceptable, so I agreed.However, on October 31, he didn’t make the payment as expected. When I asked, he said he would pay on November 1. The next day, when I hadn’t received the payment, I followed up, and he promised to pay the following morning. By noon on November 2, I still hadn’t received the payment, so I messaged him again, but he didn’t respond. It was only later in the evening when he finally replied, saying he no longer needed the parking spot and that I could rent it to someone else. Then i asked how to deal with the rest of the payment of these days for the parking he already used, no reply anymore. At that moment, I really felt deceived. Why so much like getting smart with others?

Canada immigration is a big scam. There are no decent jobs for the immigrant professionals. Feel trapped after moving to canada. You cant get jobs in the govt or semi govt companies. I know I shouldn't say this but every time I go to Calgary NE Costco, I feel like I was in another country. Many of them would randomly stop in a middle of moving traffic or cut into my path regardless of my existence... I feel I need to constantly dodge in order to avoid collisions. I am an immigrant too but I always observe my surroundings and try not to cause others to slow down because of me. If I need to take a break or stop, I park my cart in a non-busy spot... these should be common sense which is what the people are severely lacking in my opinion.

I think the vast majority of those Reddit posts and are overrating the difference. \n\nNow, admittedly, I am Canadian and have lived here my whole life. I’ve only been to the states a handful of times and not recently (last time was like 5 years ago). But nonetheless, I think Canada and America are about as similar of countries as you can get. I think the bigger difference is going to be the different regions of each country. Like, Seattle is going to be more like Vancouver than Miami. Maybe there are too many Indians everywhere and it's natural that people living there are getting sick of them. Maybe her frustration is justified. It happens everywhere regardless of race. No one wants to see a huge group of people that don't look like them or not from their tribe living on their land. I've lived here 6 years and can't wait to leave. Salaries are just enough to get by. I work full-time as an analyst and am looking for a minijob just to save money, which I already live quite modestly. It's easy to come across nasty unfriendly people, neighbors, service people, people in government agencies. I hate people staring in the most unfriendly manner or givng attitude for no reason other than they are nasty people. Don't get me wrong, there are nice people as well, but the bad experiences outweigh the good. Beauracracy is overbearing, personalities are underwhelming, the food scene is underwhelming, learning German is a big burden when you work a full-time job (and now I need a minijob too??). The country seems like it wants to diminish the human spirit and ambition. I definitely regret moving here. Many housing companies are over charging rent. I found out the company, Deutschewohnen, who owns my apartment was overcharging me by nearly double!! I had to go through a year long court procession to get them to lower it to the legal price which I won. And now they sent me a letter last month saying they are raising my rent, which is illegal and I have to go through ANOTHER court battle with them. Of course it is exhausting to try and find another apartment. Some people search up to a year. What a joke. And not to mention the dating scene. I've been single the entire 6 years and I'm quite an outgoing, friendly, loveable person. Dating Germans comes with own weird experiences and I refuse to give them a chance anymore, for my own mental health. If you're POC, it's not uncommon to come across strange sexualizations and general lack of understanding other's cultures. A couple years ago I was attacked by 8 men while walking home at night. I ended up in the hosopital and there was an investigation opened. The police asked me why they attacted me, which I didn't know since it was unprovoked. They just followed me for awhile, surrounded me and started beating me. The police said it was probably because I'm Asian. Meanwhile, I'm not even Asian!!! I'm Latino. ??‍♂This is the type of ignorance POC have to deal with in Germany. Also, I only have 1 German friend and all my other friends are immigrants (which I love) but this poses it's own frustrations because many people move here, then move away after a few years when they learn they can have a more fulfilling life elsewhere. So keeping long term day-to-day friends can be a challenge. The entire system is exhausting and there's not enough balance to bring joy to my life to want to stay. I spent years learning German, traveled throughout Germany, took courses in Germany to get up to between the B1/2 level, have a college degree, look German, German heritage… and was consistently treated like I didn’t belong and shouldn’t stay. With the skills and certifications I’ll have at the end of my graduate education, I will be able to make 2-3x as much in my home country as I could in Germany with fewer taxes and lower home prices. Why would anyone other than a low-skilled worker with few options ever want to move to Germany? The US, Canada, the UK, and even France are far better destinations for skilled workers, and yet the German bureaucracy still acts like every Italian and Turk has nothing better to do than learn German and work at a VW factory in Stuttgart.\n\nReally, Germany and the Germans just don’t get it, and at this point I doubt they ever will. They didn’t even want the Russlanddeutsch back after the end of the Cold War.

A Ukrainian immigrant here. Absolutely in love with beautiful canadian nature, cute little houses, especially townhouses in toronto, just so wholesome. As for life, you gotta be some sort of specialist like a doctor, or a proper construction worker, or a truck driver to have a decent life that goes beyond just getting by and eking out an existence. On my own i can make enough money for food and rent, but thats about it, and im happy about it, really, i get to be alive thanks to canada, but i really hope i could move out of here as soon as it becomes safe, or just move to a cheaper country thats a decent distance away from russia. I ended up being unemployed and i do feel like im in quite a real danger on eventually becoming homeless if i dont manage to procure a job, and you know how the job market is now. As for health care, i simply dont have access to it, at least i dont have a family doctor and have been trying for a while to get one. I haven't tried walking ins yet since i prioritize food over health now but i might someday. I just hope that whatever sickness bugs me is minor, i cant do anything about it. My teeth hurt too, but i cant afford a dentist, and ive found one Clinique in toronto that helps immigrants fix their teeth for cheap, they can help you with three teeth in total, and i've used up one of it, and saving the rest for real emergencies. I cant eat anything except for real soft food, and i know im not gonna get any help i could afford any time soon.\nOnce i get a job i will be saving as much money as i can to leave Canada, i don't know where yet but i'm doing my research and hopefully will find a place, and if not well, sucks to suck. In Calgary the doctors at some point told her there was nothing more they could do for her and to get her affairs in order. Her father sent her to the Anderson Clinic in Houston - yes it was expensive but they treated her, saved her life and that was 24 years ago. \nIt’s common in our emergency rooms to wait up to 12 hours to be seen. \nOur system isn’t progressive and doctors and nurses don’t get paid near as well as in the States. That being said, I am happy that I don’t have to pay to see the doctor or have a stay in the hospital. \nCost of Living: Once upon a time it was good - housing was cheap and many companies had the full range of benefits and salaries were equal to the cost of living. Now these same companies have stripped the benefits by hiring people under contract so they don’t have to give them benefits. \nRents are through the roof and in Calgary there are no rent caps. Buying a decent house in a decent neighbourhood is impossible unless you inherit or make a six figure income. This, in no small part, has created a homelessness crisis that never had been seen in such numbers before. Crime also is getting worse by the day. Canada was once known as a safe country. This is no longer the case.\nEverything is very expensive and the tax very high. Plus, we have to suffer winter! If I feel a place was overcrowded- I would leave, but for some indians its not the same and its quite sad some politicians thinking a densely populated city full of jobless people is okay. Its kind of the opposite reason why indians move to canada(because most of us dont like overecrowded cities-which tends to happen in india). The amoumt of jobs need to increase. The infrastructure needs to increase. Colleges and schools where people actually pay for all of it is necessary. And homelessness needs to be replace by education and housing policies for older canadians especially. Preserving the respect for the elderly. The list goes on- and yes it will increase the amount of jobs, if they build and educate. Also increase the incentive to be educated.

I am from the Balkans. I have been studying, living and working abroad since I was 18. Germany was the 7th country I moved to and the first country ever I felt unwelcomed at work- because of my Balkan origins. I must say I was rather shocked because being a very open, international professional with lots of experience, I thought something of this kind would never be even imaginable. However, outside of my work field I gained many german friends pretty quickly - friends for life ( no competition here, haha). 10 years later, I am still here and the situation changed to better - a lot. A mix of getting trust, learning the language, and getting more international colleagues. I am totally thankful to the health system - they saved my life. If I stayed in my country, I would have had serious health issues. I am thankful to the democracy, freedom of expressing, schooling system( so much better than in my times in Yugoslavia), salaries, and many other things Germany gave me. I am living a good life, best life any of my family members had in generations. I would like to stay here as long as it feels good for me and my family. Having a german father to my kids is however the strongest link to me feeling home in Germany -having a local within your family makes it all a lot easier.
