People make mistakes comparing Canada with America. In Canada even to get survival jobs without a work permit isn’t easy. You need a work permit. No under the table jobs available and employers here don’t want to risk employing people under the table because they do not want to risk being fined after they get caught. Canada has also housing crisis even for Canadians. Shelters are mostly designed for people experiencing homelessness and also living with drugs and alcohol addiction. In USA you can live and work when you are still illegal not the same in Canada. Do your research before you get on a plane to Canada.

I’m born & raised in Montreal, Quebec and while it’s extremely multicultural and has an incredible education system, we have been experiencing a continuous housing crisis. Every year the rent prices and general cost of living are skyrocketing yet wages remain the same. It’s actually becoming a huge problem in Montreal. Young people are being pushed out as prices are starting to little by little be comparable to Toronto. \nAnd don’t get me started on the hate Anglophones receive here. Even Montreal natives like myself who are historically English get discriminated against every day. \nThe Quebec government is pushing the English language out of Quebec, making it harder and harder for Anglophones to be able to function and live practically here. You can’t even go to the hospital and get service. If you don’t speak French you can’t call and speak with any government services, and even businesses are forced to have French names, and only conduct their business in the French language. \nI myself am bilingual, but for someone who doesn’t speak the language, or is learning having trouble it’s nearly impossible to live in Quebec as they wouldn’t even be able to get a job. The discrimination Anglophones receive is insane and we are seen as a ‘bottom of the barrel’ minority, which is so sad seeing that this is where I was born and raised and where I call my home. \nThey’re taking away more and more public & social services and literally funnelling multi millions of dollars of funding , which is desperately needed for homelessness and many other social problems we have within Montreal and it’s all now going towards pushing the French language in Montreal (we literally have what’s called the ‘language police’ who’s job is to enforce French. They will give businesses thousands of dollars of tickets and even shut them down all because someone is caught speaking English) \nHopefully something will change soon or else Montreal is going to continue to become a place completely taken over by hate and discrimination and it will experience a MASS exodus (which is already starting).

As an American, I'm sorry our private healthcare system has taken your doctors. What's even more scary about that statistic is many Americans can't even afford the doctors we have, so at least Canadians have equal healthcare opportunities even though they have to wait. Many Americans don't even get the luxury to wait. If only America caught up to public healthcare policies the global system would be more fair and we'd have people becoming doctors because they love it, not because it makes them rich.

I don’t even know what to say at this point beyond. The entire senate is rich old straight white men who like to make laws about groups they aren’t part of, and strip laws away from others. You basically have two polar opposite sides of the political spectrum and that alone, divides people so deep they can’t even be in the same room for more then 10 seconds.\n\n\nI’m Part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Enough said. \n\nI’m well aware that not everyone in the US is like this. But in my eyes, that’s more then enough to deter me. Sure Canada isn’t perfect, but it’s better in enough ways to keep me much preferring staying here.

Builders cant cut corners. I did a full construction class in college and theres something called a building code book. If you are caught by an inspwector while you were not respecting the building code book, you not only lose you license but also have to pay thousands or milliins of dollars. Its very strict. The building code book is as thick as a dictionary and larger. Because there are some many rules, builders often end up making just one design and build a thousand houses identical to it.

It’s problem is the same as most western countries. The politicians don’t actually care about the people, the only care about getting re-elected. So many policies are horrible for most people and horrible for the economy. Basically it’s about buying votes. Also, like most countries, most of not all politicians are usually corrupt to some degree. Just look at Trudeau. He has been caught with so many ethical violations that involve his family and friends.

The cuts were targeted to preserve wealth for the middle and lower classes.\n\nI could go on for another 100 pages but you get the idea and I get crabby writing for free.\n\nI will leave you with the caution that it’s best if you doubt and question any data and any stats coming from our government. Those are seldom legit. If the data comes from a study, always look to see who paid for it. And how large the sample size was; how were the participants selected? Look, I'm all for helping others, but this is not the way to go. I live near the border and have had to chase people out of my property. I've caught people staring at me through my window (I live by myself, so I was kinda nervous) I don't care if people come into the country as long as its legally.

I came to the states when I was little unfortunately I had to start working I was 15 I worked in a restaurant so i could support my sick mother in my country then I learned English and moved into a different job I never had the opportunity to go to the school since Noone would supported me !! I fall in love with some US girls we have 2 kids she worked sometimes I never pushed her to do so ! I tried to fix papers but the lawyers took my money and never did nothing about it ! I got into a traffic incident I got a ticked and fine once I payed off I get caught and sent back to a place I should call home !!
