Where did you get this info? The Canadian border does not have that kind of traffic, unless you are looking at the last 5 years. There have been that many coming across from Mexico in a week or even a day at times.

As a Canadian, I care more about who is getting into Canada than who is getting into the US. I want to know from my government how are these people getting into Canada in the first place?? Canada needs to fix how people are getting into our country first. Then this will naturally help keep these folks from using the land border to gain access to the US.

In the early 1990s I worked with a Canadian and he said it is easy to cross the border into the U.S. but getting back into Canada was a hassle even if you were a Canadian citizen, you had to show the proper documents, be searched if you looked even slightly suspicious (aka not white). Makes a lot of sense they were keeping undesirables out of Canada but weren't concerned about who was getting into the U.S.

How are the buses doing this? if Canadians travel on buses they have to stop at the border and show the authorities their passports. Matter of fact you have to show passport on any bus that is going to cross the border. I have seen people jerked right off a bus that did not qualify at the border. There use to be a border patrol show for the Canadian border. I always hated that show because how difficult it was to even enter the country to visit. Very very strick and the agents did their jobs well. What happened to those standards. The illegals wouldn’t be crossing the border if Canada kept those strick standards. So 16,000 people crossed from Canada last 4 years in TOTAL....that's what...about 2 1/2 days worth crossing from the southern border. If they are coming across the border in a vehicle Canada will not be able to stop them, they will stop at the US customs for screening bypassing Canadian border security. Canada has to do better stopping them from entering Canada to begin with. Stop the flow into Canada and it will stop leaking into the US.
