Dont cut immigration down.....tell me how did Indian intl student makes up about more than 80% out of all international students. Why didnt the government put a cap or a stop specifically just for Indian people? Why didnt the immigration look deep before giving student visa just like a snap of a finger and see if they can support themselve for school and living expense. \n\nI am an immigrant myself but when i decided to come to canada as a student. I made sure i had enough funds to sustain myself here in canada for 2 years until i can get my work permit then a head to PR. Nowdays I see a lot of international Students get access or abusing goverment facilities and benefits for which not entitle for them but Canadian residence only (PR or Canadian Citizen). I never ask for Cerb when covid happen, never ask food bank my part time job can fullfill that, paid my fare for using transportation, paid my rents and utilities on time and paid my credit cards. Lastly i never complaint focus on my study and I get good high paying jobs. I am proud to contribute to Canadian Economy as an Immigrant.\n\nThe question is are they doing the same? If you cannot sustain yourself dont add your burden to the country. We (Canadian Residence) paid heavy taxes from our sweat to cover ur burden and debt. Put yourseld in our position and you know what I mean.\n\nCanadian Goverment is too nice compare to other western country go and take a look at the US, Australia, British, New Zeland and Europe Nation. If u cannot sustain yourself do you think those gov at given country will give a care abt you? You will 100% deported for sure.\n\nPlease dont ruin this country....Canadian Gov is trying hard to be sympathy but there is time to STOP!!! \n\nI am not far right or left...but please use your COMMON SENSE for ONCE!!!! Being a local of Vancouver I have to blame for first the Canadian government who did not build infrastructure and more health care providers. Yes some Indians did made other Indians look bad ?

The unemployment rate is to high! Fast food and retail have raised their prices while paying less wages. Kids cant get jobs. Im a psw in home care and i lost hours to TFW because of the wage differences. Now I cant pay my bills because of TFW. The companies are pushing Canadians out and keeping wages low. Its not just agricultural and food production. Its being used in all sectors. The government has already identified tons of fraud.

You hit the nail, right on the head. It's both our governments fault and Indian peoples fault. We brought in too many, all at once. I'm all for international students. I'm all for people from abroad, coming to our education system, because we have the one of best in the world, get an education, establish yourself here and you can make a great life out of it and you'd be accepted. Learn our polite and law-abiding culture, and you would be accepted. If you come over here with the expectation of becoming citizens, because our government markets it like that. The amount of times that I met Indians that don't care, are rude, entitled don't deserve to be here. On top of that, they bring in their third-world culture and thinks it's ok to behave like that. Yes, bring your culture. Bring your massive weddings, food, art and traditions. That's what makes canada such a great nation. But leave all the other things that you're trying to escape in India or avoid in India. That's why there is so much hate towards them.

Canadians are homeless, jobless and struggling to survive. Years of overpopulation by our currant government has resulted in Canadians becoming second class citizens in their own country. Stop ALL temporary visas, be it for students, workers, etc until Canadians can once again stand on their own two feet. I dont care where all these temporary people come from but it needs to stop. Already universities are complaining of losing business but who cares. Where are universities when Canadians are sleeping in boxes on the ground. Stop it all for a period of 2-5 years. Our homes which should be used by young couples to raise children and build communities are being occupied by up to 10 at least young international students and the communities are being eroded.

The people don't care of the burden they put on the everyday tax payers. Why don't they use that energy to march to their own government for change instead of force themselves on another country.

It not anti indian policy.. international student are not all indian .. there is other country citizen that are also not allow to get work permit as well . let not play the race card now.. indian act like you are alway are special.. when apply for your student visa there were term and condition.. and one of the term is that once your visa expires you must LEAVE the county. You guys are not entile to any rights because you guys are a guest in the country... if you want fair treatment maybe stay in your country and study there because your a indian citizen ... nobody care about how much money you lost .. it was a gamble and you knew the risk and once your visa expiry you must leave.. there is no where in your student visa that states that you will automatic PR once you finish.. also the government of canada has the interst of the canadian citizen FIRST because we been paying tax our whole lives here while you guys only be paying for a year or two and you think u shoukd have all benefit that canadian is entiled too. A huge issue with human trafficking in canada is that canada is the easiest point of entery into north america. Illegal entry is even easier. We have zero national security. And we don't care. I am living in Canada right now and I agree with all the points mentioned however,\n1. As a lady I feel safe, no one judge me for my clothes, no one stare me disgustingly and no one consider I am his private property to assault.\n2. I feel safe when my kid goes outside to play. People here follows laws strictly. Vehicle stops even at signal allows them to proceed, always I repeat always driver signals me to proceed.\n3. I feel happy that my husband is valued in his office and much appreciated. His seniors credit him for his hard work and everyone here encourage us to have proper work life balance.\n4 I agree we pay high tax but atleast we are getting benefits in return. Public libraries, transport system are top notches. \n5. Banking, health care, all government facilities are very systematic. We were not even aware we have completed 18 months in Canada and we received letter from government stating very soon my son's child benefit will start. We didn't even enquired about it. They processed it automatically as per our arrival date.\n6. And lastly, we celebrated Independence Day here in Calgary, it was great event and all officers were protecting us. I clearly remember while dancing , huge Indian flag dropped down by a toddler and one Chinese officer,he picked it up and gave it to nearby adult.\n\nLife is valued, humans are respected,laws are followed here so I don't regret my decision of migrating but yes, honestly I do miss India as well and I am proud I am an Indian.

For some history: The previous two governments only hit 20-25% of their stated immigration goals, and were heavily criticized by the provincial governments and business community for it. The current government actually achieved the immigration targets that business and the provinces were demanding. Most of the provincial governments are boasting about how much their populations have grown, and are taking credit for it, but blaming the federal government for the problems the increased population has caused. It is the provinces that have failed to grow health care, education and other services to match the increased population that they asked for, and it is the provinces that haven't increased minimum wages to match the increased cost of living, and it is the provinces that are responsible for housing.

Immigrants of the past, would move to a westernised country and adopt the culture, lifestyle , mix with the locals and be proud to be one of them, that’s a multi-racial society. It’s absolutely absurd our governments allow this to happen! In Australia, Indians are the second highest intake, soon to be number one. There are so many of them, soon Australia will be India and Australians of all nationalities will be the minority in our own country. They buy up all the food businesses in the area, and fire all the non-Indians, they take up all the jobs in IT and low paying jobs due to being cheap labour. In teams, they ostracised the non-Indians on the team. Aussie suburbs now look like parts of India with them having multiple local fb networking groups where hoards of them take over the local park, playing their music loudly on the weekends. Ignorant people see them as mild mannered, they don’t see the dangers of how racist they can be to non-Indians and how rapidly they take over areas. When they become the majority in Australia, the non-Indians are going to be pushed out of their country. Unlike other migrants (with the exception of Muslims) they refuse to blend in and co-exist and become Aussies. They plan to overtake and destroy our countries into versions of their home country hell holes.

I would blame the Trudeau government,but I also hold those who are bad ambassadors at fault, they get blame on the same level, I cant believe the things im seeing happ My grandfather drove a tank through Italy for this Country and it deeply offends me to see so many immigrants being brought in. I'm 54 years old and i moved away from my beautiful Canada over 2 years ago. I knew when Eastern Welfare Canada voted in Turdo that he would destroy it and put us in debt like every Liberal government does. I hope everyone who voted this POS in office is enjoying the high prices and the struggles you are going through everyday, because its here to stay for the next decade as that POS will leave Canada after leaving office with 100's of millions he has stolen from us. I too will be gone from Canada soon. I loved Canada growing up. Now, not so much. Freezing cold, stupid cost of living, taxes through the roof, too much immigration when we can`t even take care of our own, homelessness and unaffordable housing. And i have a house, 37 year government job, single with no kids, retiring next year.....And i`m still leaving.

biggest problems are the delusional politicians in the government who dont take care of its citizens in the first place take care of your country first and once you've done that then you can help those are in need of support but not at the expense of the livelyhood of its residence in america and not at the expense of their freedom ot their well being. that goes for every government and i can see too many of those politicians are too focused on getting wealthy being greedy increasing rent, taxes etc they are a disgrace.

Homelessness. Poverty. Drug addiction. Real estate costs. Crime and home invasion. Gun violence. LONG waits for health care. These (and more) are relatively recent developments in Canada, and I too am saddened by it.\n\nI was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario, 70 years ago. I remember a much different country growing up.\n\nToday, our government has become sclerotic, especially under Justin. Our economy is much weaker. Our foreign relations with China (my parents' home country) are in the toilet. And we recently gave a standing ovation to a Nazi war criminal in Parliament. What the f--- is going on???

it's NOT free, after all taxes combined on an annual basis I'm paying around 60% taxes, carbon taxes, pst, gst, luxury taxes on cars over 50 k, all manner of hidden taxes, no health care is definitely not free. My health care plan in the US was 155 a month, my share, employer paid the rest, a good plan. But I took home 22% more of my income, which is massive on an annual basis, I was very rich down there, coming back to Canada it's sad, give the government all that money for what exactly? Can't think of one thing I ask the government for, but you know I'm self reliant, so self reliant people don't thrive in Canada. If I had lived in the US my whole life, same job/income I would be living a life multiples better than Canada.

Hey, to all you people from Europe, how about you take a look at what your own country did in the middle east, aswell as what America did. \n\nDid your countries not go there? Did they not shell the cities and houses there? \n\nAnd if you don't think it is your countries fault, but America's or Canada's fault, why has your country not protested their actions? Why have they been silent?\n\nStart using your brain. Your government gives ZERO F's about you, your family and culture, etc. They care about money and looking good towards the rest of the world.\n\nSo protest against your government, not because it is allowing migrants in, but because it allowed for migrants to form. Because yes it would have been more expensive to help rebuild their homes and society after Europe and most of north America blew it up, but that is how the world works. Breaking stuff is easier then fixing it. \n\nBesides, I have heard that countries have a beautifully large amount of money going towards the military. How about instead of them causing trouble to YOU, the common people, and isntead use that money to keep your country actually safe.

We're heavily taxed and little to show for it with a worsening health care system, a decaying infrastructure including terrible roads, worsening crime and a mis-managed, corrupt Government trying to find even more ways to take more of our money.

I have been shocked to learn how Canadians have given up r surrended their freedoms to the politicians. Legalizing hard drugs and the permissive application of the law is disturbing. I've always had a high regard for Canada, but giving up the right to protect yourself or your family is too much, too draconian. And the Universal Health Care is great, if you are healthy, but if you are sick or hurt- not so much. Wishing you luck finding a better culture. ( I have been equally shocked at Australia. Remember seeing three policemen arresting a young woman, quietly reading a book in a park, in the sun? That was totally shocking to me. People so easily give up their personal freedoms to the Government).

But also the Landlords have taken an advantage in rising the rent time after time while these property they have bought them long time ago and already have no morgage paid. My rent went up 1000 dollars in just one month after I have lived and pay my rent for over 10 years, This now is common because people cannot afford to get a house or even an apartment. The problem is the government allowed houses to skyrocket high so the banks and them can make more money and less care for anyone. The system has to be fixed.

I would wait till next year. The Trudeau Liberals will be removed from power and will be replaced by a Conservative government that will govern as a centralist government. Nearly all of the problems in Canada have been created by the Trudeau Liberals. Mass immigration, the federal government working against the provincial governments and interfering in provincial jurisdictions. Spending Canadian taxpayers on foreign aid when there are so many needs in Canada. For example $100 million to Haiti,$100 million to Hamas. If anything we should send these areas seeds, shovels, buckets and some\n lumber & chicken wire. Once they use the lumber and chicken wire to build chicken coops we will send them some breeding stock. They will be busy growing their own food, and will not have time for rioting in Haiti or digging tunnels and firing off rockets into Israel by Hamas. They can use their time productively growing food and taking care of animals for food. If you send them money and food, the heads of groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and PLO just siphon off the money, they are all millionaires. The same thing in Haiti the ruling class siphoned off the money so it did not go to the needs of the people. \n The Liberals have focused on increasing taxes , the so-called climate crisis and basically woke social issues. IE free hard drugs for drug addicts.A soft-on-crime policy that just emboldens thieves. IE car theft in Canada. The Liberals are poor money managers and poor project managers IE The Trans Mountain pipeline came in at $27 billion over budget? \n Canada works well with a centralist governing party . That will happen when the Liberals are replaced with a Conservative government.

I am a business man who left Canada 7 months ago, moved my business to a country that respects and values entrepreneurs and taxes are very low. I am just sad for Canada and Canadians that they have a government that doesn't care about them.

We moving back to Canada next year from New Zealand, the reason is the f.....up Government here, the Maori culture, the cold houses in the winter and no job opportunities, including a not good health care. The drugs are everywhere, here we have 7 different gangs on a small island who run the show. I sometimes wished I didn't needed to give up my German citizenship, but that's how that went in 1992.

I've not been on a vacation on over 12 years, and even then it was just to Montreal for the weekend, I'm in poverty and the federal and provincial governments couldn't care less, they actively make life harder over time.
