I've been to the states many times! My opinion is that Americans focus on wallets more than social issues! Americans care more about their own circumstances than working together to help the whole of the population. No one likes to pay more taxes but they are a nessesary evil to be able to pay for health care, public security, and so on! So sure Americans don't pay as much for some things but pay more for things that they shouldn't pay! Health care is something that is very important, how can you be expected to pay for health services if you can't work cause you're ill, doesn't make any sence! Even Americans leave thier country because of what it's becoming! 50- 100 years ago everyone wanted to immigrate to America or Canada, now a days everyone is immigrating here to Canada. Should I have to explain why! It's sad but the U.S.A isn't what it used to be. Mostly because of corporate greed and the influence it has on the gouvernment! Just look at how Trump is running things. A country isn't a bussiness, it's a people, without the people a country is nothing. Too bad Trump and his billionaire butt licking friends can't see that!

I almost moved to the US with my parents when I was a kid but was crying because I didn’t want to go. I am so glad that we didn’t move there. We don’t want to go there for many reasons, free healthcare, a good education system because we pay our teachers well and have good quality teachers, we don’t carry guns and don’t want them, thereby our streets are safer. We don’t have mass murders, school killings and all that fear. We don’t have the racial and ethnic prejudice that there is in the US. I have travelled a lot for my company and personal to the US. I was scared and didn’t feel comfortable at all. We know so much more about US geography and history and the US knows nothing about us. Complete ignorance. Well I have no plans to ever visit again. I love our people, our freedom and our culture. We are nothing like the Americans (sorry). I am staying in my beautiful country! I feel safe and happy here! We don’t want the American dream, we are living the Canadian dream!

I have a hard time believing that our government finds so much money to allow illegals to function. My wife came to America from Russia over 20 years ago.. It took her 3 1/2 years to get approval to come to America legally… she’s now an American citizen.. it’s people like her that are livid over this mess. My dude you just said that health care is never discussed in american politics. \n\nAlso, all these people saying that health care in Canada takes years and years for things that take weeks in the US are typically full of it. Yeah. Some provinces that shall remain nameless like to break contracts with health care professionals, resulting in shortages of certain types of workers. \n\nI live in remote northish parts of my province (not NWT, Yukon, or Nunavut), and 6 years ago I was diagnosed w/ lymphoma. They had me set up to do chemotherapy treatment within 2 weeks. They wanted me to start that weekend, but I needed the time to put my work in order for me to be gone for an extended period, get applications set up for EI/Healthcare claims, and figure out who in my family I wanted to share the information with. \n\nIn Canada you end up waiting for elective surgeries and treatments, because they aren't critical by virtue of being elective. That's about it. If you need an elective and have 10K in your pocket not doing anything, go ahead and go to the states.

They spend 4 years in the military changing gender on tax payers dime. Out of the whole 4 years they may be deployable for about 6 months and that ain't all at the same time. When I was in this stuff was not an issue! When Trump was campaigning he said he was going to put a 25% tariff in China and all of his supporters cheered and clapped ! I’m sitting here going don’t they know that that increase cost is going to be pushed down to the consumer?!?!! It’s the everyday American who is going to end up paying that 20% 25% increased in cost!!! it’s going to affect our living standards and not in a good way! We can’t save the whole world, we simply don’t have the means. If we stay this route what will happen is we will end up in the same spot that Mexico is. You have to teach them to build properly not bring it all here. That isn’t a fix all. Once we have enough gang members, drug cartels and murders from all the other countries, we’ll become those countries, while they’ll have it good because they purged all their criminals to us. They don’t want them back, yet we’re begging them to bring their problems to us! It’s time to take this serious and worry about our own.
