Alina, as long as we see life only as a material side, we most certainly do not know anything about life. Fortunately, life always opens doors and new avenues for us where we learn much more and get to know the other side of life, the side of misery, suffering and homelessness. \nWhen we look at the full circle of life, for the first time we see life in a certain whole. Then we don't see one or another country as our own or someone else's, but as rooms where we get the opportunity to learn some parts of a whole life. \nThis story of yours is only a segment of life to come. Then you won't be able to recognize yourself at this moment and you will wonder at your inability at this moment to see and understand something more than life. \nFortunately, this is the case with all of us and every human being on this planet today looks, sees and understands life only from one position of that full circle. \nThose who already have a full circle of experiences can give us a better and more complete understanding. On this planet, everything is in cycles at every point of it and in every single country. \nWhat did I see in your video story? \nA lot, but nothing special. This is a girl in Canada who is infatuated with the material side, who is now in the phase of a little deeper understanding of cyclical change, so her life is losing that excitement little by little. \nMy greetings with the note that I am not glad that you are feeling and touching the somewhat greater uncertainty of life, but at the same time, I am very glad that, for your own greatest good, you are beginning to feel the slightly harder side of life.

Before coming to this amazing country in 1990. I had tried living in Germany and the United States but nothing was much opportunistic about the Northern Canadian Territory. As a refugee, there were no better choice but now the lack of accountability with realestate and common day actions, makes me think that the country is another Banana republic and needs to counter corruption on the way the system runs unfortunetly to say.

As an immigrant myself i complained about this 10 years ago .. this issue had been brewing since many years what we r seeing now Is just the result …govt marketed immigration very well but did nothing to increase the resources to match what was coming …medical school highway etc everywhere and every thing has been mess especially in toronto

Well, I am leaving, yes. Although I am very grateful with Germany, I work in IT, and I don't hold a diploma, but I have more than 20 years of experience in the field, I always been offered jobs beneath my experience, only because of a paper. I am Italian and was very enthusiastic when I arrive 4 years ago, but the way I was treated was mostly bad, that led me not wanting to study the language anymore, people were so agressive in the streets. When I needed the back of the justice, it was never on my favour, even when I was right, as I was hit in the street by a stranger who made my face bleed, police said that it was nothing and that it was the opposite, even when they had evidence. I was mistreated at a hospital in Schwabing, München and medical attention was refused, police didn't help and they requested my to litereally scream for help, and I did because I was bleeding on a place I didn't know, with -4 degrees, without any jacket. I even tried with the discrimination line, which doesn't work, and if you write them an Email, they will say they cannot help. I Will never understand that level of cruelty, not to mention 5000 Euros I had to pay for a ticket, because I suppousedly scratch the car of a person and because my Kaution was never returned, tried, but never got a lawyer, because you need to pay for the air you breathe in this country. ARD, what is that? You pay for the right of internet, and you pay internet as well, the desorganization with the states is massive, and often times, you will get a letter in your box post having to pay somehting else. My energy and money was completely drained. I just had it. Despite of everything, this country tought me great things, like discpline and hard work which I really appreciate and will take this knowledge...somewhere else. I also became better human being as a result of being exposed to all of the bad things. But I am isolated case, not everyone goes through these things, I did, and to me it was more than enough to wanting to Auf Wiedersehen. Unfortunaly Germany prefers to keep people who did not come to the country to add something, crazy as it seems, they would allow more people who rape, do not respect their culture and commit other crimes, instead of really welcoming people who came here to have a better life. Germany is currently too focused on other countries problems and failed on attending the needs of their citizens and the citizens who came to live here, including europeans, as myself. I truly believe that Germany is a beautiful country, München is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen, and has astonishing landscapes and vibrant nature. But...

I saw a movie once where this guy wouldn’t come out of the building he was in. The authorities tried talking with him, negotiating, cajoling him etc etc. finally they sent in a robot with 20 pounds of C4 strapped to it. Guy refused to leave, refused to leave, refused, refused…. Then there wasn’t enough of the guy to argue with. Totally random thought. Nothing to do with this video. I just thought of it. It was a good movie. I wish I remembered what it was called.

From Poland. Arrived yo Canada at the end of 2020. I am nearing my 4th year here, in a small village. I arrived with my 6-year-old daughter to begin my writing career. Now, 40% of my daughter's childhood has been spent here and I I go to court soon to fight for my child to be returned home to me. After nearly one year- a year of financial hardship because I have to travel without a driver's license and without a group of friends to drive me- I have my very first hearing with a judge in Youth Court in a matter that has no foundation to begin with, follows no rule of law, and acts arbitrarily. My child whom I homeschooled to the praise of the provincial ministry of education and was following a classical liberal arts education path that had her outpacing students in the province was entrusted to the care of a Child Services company (that has a record of placements that have resulted in child murders). My child's life has been irrevocably upset to say the least. NO ONE LEAVING CANADA GIVES THIS STORY AS A RESON FOR QUITTING THIS COUNTRY. I guess no Canadians care about their children like I do my precious gift from God. True, O come from the former Soviet Union where Marshal Law (Emergency Measures Act) were commonplace. I lived through two in Canada in 4 years: one Federal, and one through Provincial Youth Court where I await my turn to see a judge after my daughter was removed from my care. People do not know they have no biological ownership of their children, because I guess few Canadians value their children to care about their own laws. But these laws also apply to immigrants too. What money was taken from me during the move and resettlement, the government takes by creating more expenses for me than I could ever imagine or budget for. Emotionally, I am a wreck. Rather than commencing my writing career, I have been seeking low-income lawyers, reading the provincial law on Youth Protection, filing complaints within a circular system (the watchdog is part of the system not outside of it) and preparing all evidence to prove I have done nothing wrong [just like in communist rule]. Have you ever given any thought to the difficulties in proving your innocence? \nNO ONESEEMS AWARE OF THIS DETERENT TO BRINGING CHILDREN TO CANADA. NO ONE. IT IS THE ONLY ONE I COULD NOT PLAN FOR. All other complaints like the economy, or the weather, or inflation I have survived. But taking away my child, my reason to settle in Canada for a life of freedom for her, my legacy, was unthinkable. People ask me in this small village where is my daughter. Their rosy cheeks become snow white when I tell them. Canadians here are unaware and scared like cattle in a thunder storm. Many are addicted to welfare payments, cannabis, prescription drugs, and television. They all seem to be waiting in a pen of fear. I am stuck here now, with little financial resource to fight for my child's life. It is unfortunate that no one will read my comment because it is an inscrutable wall of text or too frightening. Unless someone reads it, no help will come for my daughter. (Because she is a dual citizen, the local Polish Ambassador will not step in - another drawback for having a Canadian passport). Great video Alina and thank you for sharing your well balanced perspective. Born and raised in Canada to immigrant parents who came in 1970. I left in 1992 and came back in 2015 and left again for good in 2020 mainly due to the draconian covid restrictions. It was the best decision I ever made in my life and I have never looked back. From my point of view, Canada is beyond unrecognizable today and the leaders in Ottawa have sold the country and the people down the river along time ago and sadly the real serious Canada is nothing but a memory. I feel sorry for the immigrants who come to Canada and have a romanticized vision of the nation. They have no idea what they have gotten themselves into. Classic. Just as I expected: not a SINGLE word about the fact that Germans themselves are leaving the country in droves. Why? Precisely because of the reasons mentioned at the end of the report, plus the number of people leaving for greener pastures more than doubled after 2015. Look up the BKA statistics if it hasn't dawned on you yet. Poland and Czechia are MUCH safer now than Germany. \n\nThe other thing that should have been mentioned are those tens of thousands of young Germans who don't aspire to learn a trade or get higher education. They aspire to nothing. I believe it's some 60K people yearly. That's a lot.\n\nAnd finally, despite all that massive influx of people since 2015, how come there is still a lack of workers? I'm genuinely interested in the employment rate among ppl who arrived in the 2015 wave and onwards. Even though German politicians of the currently ruling parties would never admit that the generous social benefits are a great pull factor for immigration, it's not hard to conceive, this is everday reality. \n\nIn conclusion, one could say that Germany is deterring the capable and attracting the incapable. Isn't this a sign of self-loathing and suicidal society?

More skilled labors will be leaving Germany. My brother a senior softwares engineer already decided to leave Germany due to unbearable high cost for living and unable to afford a house for his wife and two daughters working overtime. IT companies in Germany do NOT pay US IT salary jobs. Me and my wife also decided for the sake of our daughters future to leave Germany for Poland in the next years. Poland has a bright future ahead and has become a central IT hub for US and Europe. Germany has nothing left to offer but high taxes, high cost of living, a bad and outdated retirement system, analog burocracy, no digital progress. I could go on and on. If you think to come to Germany as a skilled worked, DON'T, there are better alternative countries to choose from!

My fellow non-Germans….Don’t make the mistake of coming to Germany right now. The country will sooner or later have a crisis due to its politics and their companies falling behind in competitiveness due to incompetence and arrogance. Instead of blaming themselves, they will blame immigrants, including you. Also, if you are a qualified foreigner, you will have to come to terms with being a second class resident, watching how natives enjoy their life and expect you to do their work. Only “luxury jobs” with a strong union like IG Metall will ensure you a fair treatment. But most of these jobs are occupied by 55+ yo people that are waiting for retirement without innovating or contributing absolutely nothing to their company. \nThe woman in the video is happy because she married a local (for love of course). With her low salary as a nurse she would be absolutely miserable and lonely. The Indian guy has a family, and well, he comes from India.

Canada is set to take 1 million immigrants per year and has only a total of 40 million citizens with a housing crisis. Canada’s population surpassed 41 million in April, just 10 months after it hit 40 million in June 2023. Nothing of it is due to birthrates, it's only immigration that makes the country grow. There's real issues coming with this much immigration ( housing market, stagnant wages, assimiliation of newcomers).

When my kids were in high school, the student population at their school was 84% Punjabi. Nice kids, nothing against them, but that says to me that, given the severe crisis in housing and the cost of living, we maybe ought to make things livable for the people who are already here (regardless of whether they were born here) before inviting a lot of new people to come and put more strain on the system

Scapegoating? It's simple supply and demand, and nothing can change it. Socialism won't fix it, importing impoverished people won't fix it, legislation won't fix it. You have to attract people with the proper skillsets to make the country and city better. Having a booming population and no room to grow doesn't do that. The California Bay Area and Los Angeles area has already seen the problems this causes, companies and skilled workers are moving to places that they can afford to live and build companies. With more people comes less opportunities, Canada needs to learn from the mistakes of others. Do not take everyone, take those who want a better life but can also give back to the country.

Well my house to taken over by convicts and out of compassion me and my wife gave them our house, as we didn’t know how absurd the laws are to evict a bad tenant.\n\nI being helpless called police and email PM helpline , housing minister, but nothing happened till 4 months, they destroyed my property, and still owe me 14k rent plus utilities, excluding the damages and property mess they created. \n\nWe were terrified , they had two big rescues dogs and would threat us if we come to ask for house check or rent , they would release the dogs on us. \n\nI still have tenant body order for money claim, but my family suggested to leave and move on . But then i think , they would do the same with what ever place they try to move.\n\nWhy would government not spare out property tax or give the home owner the loss of property amount. \n\nYou miss the tax the government pr bank come after you with all the forces. \n\nIts like the house crises , the government want to say , let the stupid home owners eradicate that issue and them let they suffer from the bad tenants abuse the so called tenant laws. \n\nI know my family had to go through.

When you increase population size drastically it effects infrasture when government dont invest x amount of dollars into system. You have to plan. Look at our housing market. Being Chinese, we brought along our traditions. Those were celebrated and introduced to other Canadians, and it was a joyous thing. That being said, Canadian culture should come first and foremost. That should be understood. You are living underneath someone else’s roof, you should learn their culture and accept it. If not, why are you there.\n\nNowadays, it feels like it is a right to alter, and place your original culture above that of Canada’s. That’s just weird. Why did you move there in the first place if you can’t accept and get along with everyone else there.\n\nI decided to move back to Hong Kong because I didn’t like it, and for people that feel the same, get out of there. This is nothing new Asians and Hindus have been coming to and from Canada to U.S legally or illegally since the 70's and 80's if they are in Canada as tourists, students or become residents and citizens but always u.s in mind and they just move to the US if they are just asylum seekers or illegals they just walk into the US. this is the Canadians plan, not just accept immigrants but just send them to the US to destroy the US, and with Biden and the Harris administration they are everywhere now, do you blame the migrants and why would you ?. blame yourself, you elected Biden and Harris.... lmfao

Canada was not anti immigration when the people coming were needed, they wanted to contribute, and they understood and assimilated into Canadian culture. Americans scared that their southern border is unsecure while their northern border is thousands of miles longer, unprotected and unmanned. Speaking as a Canadian you all should be scared in the USA. Now that Canada is on the downward trend due to no housing, no jobs, inflation and unsanctioned immigration, I can GUARANTEE that you will get a huge influx of illegal immigrants who hop the border. They get into Canada legally (since we accept anybody without backgroud checks) and once they discover how tough life is here they make a run for the USA. Canada was never their final destination just a pit stop before they head to America. Canada needs some serious help and legislation when it comes to this. Our infrastructure and culture are at a serious risk of being permanently damaged due to this. Our federal election is in October 2025 and even if we get a politcal party change I fear that nothing will ultimately change for the good.

This problem could be solved so easily. Give them nothing. No food, housing, medical care, education for their kids, debit cards, clothing, NOTHING. They will stop coming. You know there's a reason why you were told not to feed stray animals when you were young.

In NYC, migrants from South America can go to 800 2nd Ave Manhattan and go up to the 2nd floor to the Embassy and get papers filled out, get a passport, get your reloadable debt card, medical, schooling, housing voucher and live like a king for a few months. Over 200 line up every morning here and several hundred a day go through to get this. Can we be mad at the migrants, NO. Though I can be mad at the government for allowing and promoting it. When I got leukemia from the job the utility company fought Workers comp and stopped my pay to starve us out. I ended up homeless with a wife and 4 children. All social services in NY could do was offer us $13 a day per child for food allowance and nothing more. We couldn’t even get Medicare. The food allowance was only for 7 days. It’s a disgrace how citizens are treated. Come here illegally and they offer you the world. These politicians need to be voted out. Social services was developed to help those citizens in need and it’s not happening. People need to realize that government contractors (usually family of politicians) are hired to help these “migrants” . These contractors even from the UN are in Panama helping migrants get here. If you research it you will get angry for sure. My elected officials in Northern NY know what’s going on and are behind it, they don’t even hide it.

It’s been going on since the beginning nothing has changed you just know of it now but it’s been happening. My sister Lizz in Michigan and she told me they are coming through there along time ago.
