If you signed wn agreement that you are studying for school the expectation is that you will go back home, if you came here to work under the guise of school and not atten?classesl you are misusing the program, if you bought a LMIA then you're committing fraud

Why would you want to extend your work permit? You are a student and you should be going back to India after you finish your study and before your visa expires unless you get visa sponsorship. India is a democratic country with freedom. It's not like Ukraine. What's the point of staying in Canada??

However, when you choose to live in a country that is not your own, there is a certain responsibility to adapt to the new culture. After all, you made the decision to move to a different country, and part of that decision involves immersing yourself in the local culture.

Permanent residency is not the requirement. you came to study if ur done LEAVE. It’s simple. Canada it going down now because of them. ITS ENOUGH.

With all do respect, I do not understand why we are accepting foreign student to come here to study on how to become a mechanic. We have plenty of Canadians who know how to fix cars and other mechanical things.\nI do not understand letting folks come and work here just so they may support a family abroad, that means that this is not your home..... I you want to become a Canadian citizen then go through the correct channels of immigration. these folks are seeking immigration loopholes just to come and work here.... Very frustrating!

They never come to study, they worked 7 days a week and when they failed the exam they protected, they think protest makes them whatever they want.

When any temporary permit is issued, it does not assure you permanent residiency , it clearly states that you must leave Canada by the end of your permit, unfortunately these guyz are victim of colleges and universities selling the idea that through study you have a pathway to settle permanently , but any temporary permit is issued with a condition that once permit ends you have to leave. Governement / big corporations who sought these guyz as cheap labour are to be blamed 100% for this mess

Canada is a law abiding country and no one can fool the system. It offers study visas with a condition of returning back to home after completing the study. But many indian students are cheated by local agents with fake promises of Canadian PR, and now face deportation. It is not the fault of Canada. Already Canadian citizens including its own students suffer a lot from getting a job. Lack of jobs, house, health services increased and at the same time criminal, anti social activities like car theft, sexual abuse of female students, traffic violations, and links with anti social elements linked with international students. Brampton becomes the number one crime area in Toronto. Canadians are very well known people for their multicultural identity but they become irritated by the hostile behaviour of the international students. \nSo Canada must give priority to its own citizens and its law and order. No one can be allowed to take advantage of its liberal system.

Yes, because the Indian took job away from Canadian. And mostly high school job is taking away from our children. Canada shouldn’t bring in Indian any more because they don’t want to leave. They think they entitled for a PR. Other immigrants it’s peaceful come here to study and leave the country. Just the Indian is a pain in the ass.

Student visa means for studying not for permanent residents. Students need to go back to their country after they finished their studies and not stay in the country illegally

Canada never assured PR for anyone, at any point of time.\nOnly the eligible will get PR, and the rest will have to go back to their respective countries. \n\nIt is a positive news that about 1 million temporary workers/students will be given PR in the next 3 to 4 years.\n\nI remember a student, who came to Canada ?? in 2007, studied/ worked for 5 years, and went back to India, as she didn't not get PR.\n\nOnly those occupations which are in demand will attract PR. \n\nThere is nothing new in this. I can't understand, why there is so much confusion over this issue.

Politicians always play safe for their benefits, but any native should never feel a stranger in their own hometown, it's a nightmare, I'm an Indian, from Kerala, I can't think of feeling and outsider in Kerala, so totally understand what people feel in any part of the world. But don't you think, any outsiders coming and occupying the masses seems like a problem with the efficiency of people there, even here in Kerala we used to speak of Tamil population in early 80s and now Bengalis occupying our street, but can we actually blame them? I would say no, we didn't do our job, they came and did the job and now they are in huge numbers. The same happens anywhere in the world. You don't do your job right, someone will come down the job and probably occupy a heart share of the city gradually, for malayalis Kochi esp Aluva is a real time case study for the same.

Simply…Government overflowed the country with immigrants to lower entry-level salaries hence all the salaries have frozen and become stagnant, housing has suffered pressure by demand, entry level jobs have gone to these immigrants that will work for lower salaries cause they need to pay their studies to become PR and as always there are some immigrants that came with bad intensions which put the spotlight in those who actually came to make a life in Canada

The problem of Canada is the government does not care about the GPA of the international students so they just ignore their study and go for the cash jobs. So more low educated people, more inflation, less jobs. In other words, Canada is inviting bad people only.

Back dude , international students just come to work not to study

I am studying my 1st post-grad and am not even sure should I study the 2nd one to be honest.

There are too many fake international students...they come for work permit. Legitimate IS are the ones studying in universities to get a degree and go home once they are finished.

I finished my studies 3 months ago and I have not been able to find professional or non-professional work. Other friends of mine are in the same situation. The situation is very difficult because we pay a lot of money for studies.

The entitlement is unbelievable! I've never been able to afford going half way across the world to study. Instead of paying for education here (aka thinking they were getting their ticket into PR), they could've just stayed home and invested that money in stocks or create their own business

I see no flaw in their logic,\n\nThe truth is that I believe that the bad strategies implemented by the government, and the lack of regulation, harmed everyone who wants to do things well. I don't want to offend anyone, but it is totally illogical that a country as popular as Canada has not put these measures in place before, which are not brutal, they are basic. \n\nThink that most countries in the world do not allow an international student to work 24 hours a day. Furthermore, the level of fraud for admission to colleges and universities is very high, many students do not even go to classes...and do not even pass the language filters. It's your fault. Students should have applied for asylum the first day they arrived in canada airports or land . Now after your enjoy your study for 2-5 year it's let.. you will be deported by the laws of immigration. Thats a fact. Bye bye
