Our People must stop talking about their way of life. \nThinking about youself why you're there.\nNot as a tourist but to work or for earning and living.

For all the amazing things the US has to offer, right now we don't even want to visit there, let alone move there. We've talked about it a lot, but nope. In Canada, generally speaking (although there are exceptions to every rule) we have no idea what political leaning our neighbors favor. Political campaigns last no more than 51 days; they do not start the day after the last election and go on for years. This way, elected officials actually do some work instead of campaigning. Right now, the politics in the US, as well as the judiciary, are literally insane. Gun violence in the US is insane, as is the attitude towards guns. It shouldn't take a shooting that affects you personally to make you care about it, and it's not just at schools. The US has had 28 mass killings, with 140 victims, in 6 months... but the problem is that no one down there cares about that enough to stop it, or even discuss ways to stop it. The politics is so sold out to corporations that what is good for the people just doesn't matter. It is capitalism run amok. Environmental protections? They are an inconvenience, and most of them were rolled back a few years ago under the presidency of He Who Must Not Be Named. So politics, elections, shootings... but wait. There's more. I have a wonderful friend in the US who has amazing health care, and yet when he got cancer, he was screwed. We do pay a health care premium up here, but it is a drop in the bucket compared to what people in the US pay for private insurance. Yes, you have the best hospitals in the world, but it doesn't matter if you can't afford to walk in the door. Now dump the intolerance -- racism, homophobia, religious zealots, misogyny (yes, I am talking women's rights, equal pay, access to health care, etc) -- throw in the crazies with guns, and now ask the question again. I absolutely know that Canada is not perfect, and that the tolerances and attitudes towards all these subjects differs from region to region, but overall we are a country that tries to respect the rights and needs of others, that has empathy for others, that wants to help others, and that is a pretty firm foundation to make us want to stay here. (please don't interpret this as all Americans and all areas of the US have no respect etc... but the predominant issues of health care, politics, religion, corporate greed, and violence, now all supported by a bat-crap crazy SCOTUS, sadly spills and taints it all. I know there are amazing, generous, kind people all over the US, but I don't know where the crazies are or where they might pop up).

I would only move partially, as in December to March to a warm state, but prices are too high now since covid, I can't work it.\nPlus politics in the USA is beyond help, they prefer permitless concealed weapons to safety and education.\nI know not every American is like that, I probably like 70% of you - but the 30% are mass shooting and stealing classified documents.\nAnd your voting system is wrong, term limits in the SCOTUS must be set as well as the rest of your gov.

Askm \nI am a Human Resource Professional, my Master’s Degree is from Australia and have 9 year industry experience. I have obtained the visit Visa and will be coming alone to Canada in couple of months. Need clarity on few issues. \nI will be bringing expenses money for 6 months, more funds will be arranged if required. My target provinces are Saskatchewan, Manitoba and New Brunswick. I am confident that I will secure a LMIA approved job in HR and hence a legit Work permit. \nCan the work permit holder invite his spouse and children ? \nDoes the whole family have free education and health care? \nBut one must have alternate solution. If I don’t get a job in my occupation, I will be forced to work as a farmer or a laborer or any other low skilled occupation and get a work permit for that job. My technical question is once I have worked as a farmer/laborer for a year, I will have to apply for the PR under PNP. Will my 1 year work experience as a farmer/laborer have a negative impact, since my qualification is in business Management (HR) ?

When you talk about Healthcare your analysis is solely based on Personal income tax. This is utterly disingenuous, because all working individuals pay taxes in Canada and that money goes into paying for not just health care but many constructs that govt. of a modern society must pay to ensure Canada remains competitive. Out healthcare system is struggling but it's still way better than the American system.

As a Canadian here are my views on the problems here:\n1.Government waste/spending\n2. Insane taxes, we literally pay taxes on our tax here. When you add it all up the lower tax brackets after their 15% gst pay about 45% of their income in taxes alone. Provinces like Nova Scotia are disgusting when it comes to the tax they pay. \n3. Easy immigration, we should consider immigrants based on what they can do for Canada, we don't need hundreds of thousands who can't work or refuse to work. It's a strain on the system. The immigration also artificially increases housing costs.\n4.Government corruption, it's part of why the taxes are so high. It's also part of the recent hyperinflation Canada has suffered. Just look up Trudeaus WE charity Scandall or SNC Lavalin Scandal, some even say Trudeau was getting kickbacks from the vaccine which I have yet to see evidence of but I personally believe it. \n5. Politically illiterate voters and propaganda, here in Canada the government likes to keep it's people uninformed and how they do it is through propaganda. The Liberals have every major news source in Canada in their pocket and in order for you to get news that isn't influenced by them you have to specifically search for them by name, those include Rebel News, TFI Global, and True North. Almost everything else is incredibly biased, they selectively report the news and in many cases outright lie. This causes extreme political illiteracy in it's population.\n6. Housing rules, here in Canada there are some really stupid bylaws like the main floor of your primary dwelling must be 900sqft in some areas, plus building codes prevent cheap construction of homes. You could have a tiny home on piers and it wouldn't cost much but because of our laws and codes it's impossible. You need a proper foundation, footings, building permits, ad in order to get a permit you need to submit blueprints, etc. You can't just buy a prefab building set it on piers and live in it. That'd be too easy, that'd make housing affordable and the government wouldn't like that. \n7. Woke indoctrination centers, The public education system here is all about putting in regular kids and pumping out future Liberal voters. It's a mess.\n8. You can't defend yourself, In Canada you aren't allowed to carry a weapon for self defense. If a criminal breaks into your home you are supposed to do everything you can to escape rather than defend your property. Criminals have more protection under the law than the law abiding citizens. \n9. Low wages, because of immigration wages are low compared to the USA for most jobs in most locations\n10. Thigs cost more in Canada than the USA after taking into consideration currency conversion rates, even things manufactured in Canada\n11. The cold. Nobody likes the cold for the 4-6 months of the year that the higher populated areas of the country have it. The more densely populated areas also tend to be the warmest. \n12. Fascist leaders. It's no secret Justin Trudeau and the Liberals are fascists\n13. Governmental links to the WEF, you'll own nothing and you'll be happy or so their add said. The truth is Canadians can afford less and less under Liberal leadership which is no surprise since Justin Trudeau and Chrystia are supporters of the WEF.

Mexican border needs to be DMZ zone & patrolled by special national guard unit both sides. Cartels must be labeled as FTOs. This has to stop. Our country is in shambles as is can't even support our own. China's pushing fentanyl through cartels. FTOs it's time cartels are labeled as such. 20 years of desert warfare under our belt it's time to protect our homeland ??\n\nThere's a great opportunity to create enough jobs in Mexico. I have been there personally, firstly its not an embassy, it is general consulate. And secondly, the people working there are absolute legends. They are helpful, polite and cooperative. There must be something else here as well, so don’t believe whatever is shown from one person’s perspective. Know the entire story.

My advice for Canada:\n1 - obviously LOWER THE TAXES ! ... this is basically a SCAM! ... 30$/h may sounds good while in reality is less than 20$/h because of hidden fees(Taxes) ... YOU ARE SCAMMING PPL!\n\n2 - Its utterly stupid to ask for doctors and architects when you don't have a proper vacancy waiting for them, make the immigration process way easier , as soon as a vacancy represents itself act on it and get the ppl in, don't do all the licensing/registrations ... all that over kill process slow the whole thing down , let them learn by doing !! ... that would get the ball going way easier and way faster! , just make sure immigrants who are willing to do it have a good understanding of english.\n\n3 - Easy up on the registration/licensing process , not everything needs to be perfect , let the doctors, architects and technicians work as Interns Immediately or even Pre-Interns .... that way you would have more doctors and no body needs to wait for 2 years for a fkin CHECK UP! ... that is sooo buzzer and I bit its only getting worse!\n\n 4 - try make organized Social events to allow people to socialize better with each other and make friends or families...\n 5 - for the climate, doing nothing 9 months a year is stupid! and boring! , u must find a way to make inclosed warm facilities for newcomers and residents to enjoy.

Such a slap in the face to homeless people who were born, worked in, and lived in America all their life. Where is their “free ticket” to housing and resources? America makes it hard for their own; especially Blacks, to survive. Always some kind of impossible agreement they want you to agree with to obtain help. As a Black American, homeless and disabled; worked low wage jobs here in America over 30 years; was blocked from receiving my full lump sum disability because they knew it would have been enough to buy myself a home; Have been homeless over a year now and can’t agree to America’s rules for fair housing because their rules aren’t fair for Black Americans altogether. America have set Blacks against Blacks; put them in positions to turn other Blacks away from houses and resources; but all they care about is their job. They know their job requires the impossible for many Blacks to agree to, but they easily and intentionally overlook it. How can I agree to volunteer or work if I’m disabled? I applied for disability because I can no longer work. And…It took forever for me to get that. My long, steady work history will prove that I’m not lazy which is used as their excuse for not helping Blacks. America will bend over backwards to help foreigners while we sleep on the streets. That’s the reason why they went out on a limb to employ people from different countries. They called it diversity when they clearly knew it was racism. They had rather employed foreigners to keep Blacks from progressing. America is reaping its seeds right now. Say good bye to America because it’s about to become a new foreign country to all Americans. You reap the seeds you sow. You must be fair to your own first, but you disclaim your own. ❤ And by the way;…..Reparations to Black Americans may be a good start in the eyesight of God who have watched how you treated us for so very long. I’m Hispanic and this shit pisses me off. My family had to grind it out and sacrifice so much to come to the United States the legal and correct way. Why isn't the government working with the countries where the migrants are coming from? A treaty or an accord should be negotiated with Mexico (even though there's almost 1 million Americans residing in Mexico), Central America and northern South America and stop this mass migration to our border! This should have been done 10 years ago. The border towns will become, are, deportation zones, dysentery, human trafficking and dead immigrants, by the US, murders from infighting or consumption. President Biden might want to put together a task force made up primarily of those from border states and those with large immigrant populations. The task force can be requested to make an up-to-date assessment with our successes and failures, a new list of goals with steps to get there, as well as new ideas to try out on current problems, while suggesting new policies and government procedures. I live next to a drop off destination for Joe Biden's migrants. I would have to say they appear to be victims of the Democrat party, in that, like many other groups of people they have been lied to or given false hopes of success or prosperity. It is evident every morning when about thirty men gather in groups awaiting, perhaps a local contractor, to drive up and offer them a few hours of work, digging a hole or some other menial task. We also now have these corner Hey Cocos fruit stands where another of Joe's migrants sits for hours, making a couple bucks, at best, and a few more for whoever owns the cart and provides the fruit. I can only imagine where all these men must be sleeping at night, who might be paying for their space on a garage floor. Their only relief comes from gathering at the park across the street to use the barbecues and tables, and share a meal. For some the meal leads to beer and drunkenness. I watched the police send five of them back to the garage since they were all in a car drinking, even an open alcohol container in CA is illegal. If I were one of them I would have been arrested, but these lucky Biden immigrants were simply told to walk away. I hope the police at least impounded the car. Ten o'clock on a Sunday morning, people jogging, people walking their dogs, unaware of Joe Biden's guys, ready to drive away in drunken bliss. Thank you Joe. Thank you Democrats, you have created another group of dependents at least you can give them free health-care, I suppose that's one way to say they have improved their lives by coming here.

Having lived in the US for years before moving to Canada ,I must say that Canada remains & its still better than the US . Of course everyone sure needs peace of mind , adequate security & safety for the whole family . Not guns flying here & there like a movie scene . \nThe only exception I have with living in Canada is the crazy tax rate on goods & services . I think the Canadian govt . should work on this . \nOther than that Canada still remains home & far better than the US .\nMy opinion

Must go through the proper protocols and paperwork to get a work visa or citizenship to enter the US . . . I know it's not easy and the wait time is long , but it's the only way . . .the lawful way.

Shame on those in here whining about what they don't get that refugees get. We have access to all of that and more. Did you know that the basic needs that are provided to refugees or immigrants must be paid back to the government? They get a loan, we don't just give people money because they want to live here. Once they get their SSN and are deemed fit(usually means they speak and write English) for work they are required to find work. Many come from war torn countries or unable to provide food for their children or a safe place to live. Are you that unfeeling you don't want to help them? Canada used to be compassionate and helped others. It wasn't so long ago that our relatives immigrated here for a better life.

We need to have our own Giant Factories and more Labor force and Health care worker relief. Let them in but they must work hard and cheaply and take Jobs most Americans don't want as they are starting from the bottom. Until they master English, they are not a threat to any jobs that you might want, and most don't even bother to learn which is good for us. \n \nHealthcare workers are working too hard. Let’s use migrants and help them out, immigrants can do all the labor-intensive and poop work so our healthcare workers can focus more on the health of the patients. This will reduce hospital bills since labor is a major cost to any business. We will also all receive better care at the hospital. \n \nUS companies and foreign companies are building factories in India or in Mexico when the same workers are at our doors. Let's build them here in the USA and we English speakers will have to manage them unfortunately since that’s the language of the Country. If you speak Spanish and English, you are going to have many jobs. \nEverything important should be made in America with all these workers. We can all have our own factories and business and exploit cheap labor flocking to our Great Country. We must use this to our advantage while it lasts. \nCheap labor we can Build houses that are affordable. Fix all the infrastructure we have been crying about. \n \n5. If War we're ready! \nIf we ever have another World War first one to go are minorities and poor people so, not only does it provide us with a bigger army, but you might not be first to get drafted. Not only that but because we have immigrants we would have stronger ties to those immigrant countries which can come in handy later. You never know which country will become the next global leader and we can always use military support. \n \nIf there are other legal exploitation, we can benefit from having immigrants into our Great nation please share! For hard workers and entrepreneurs,you will undoubtedly have success- USA is where most of the big companies have started, and small businesses do well, too. Americans work very hard and not everyone is suited for that type of lifestyle. My second point may be a little controversial. As a retiree we have Medicare which covers major medical- hospital and doctors at a rate of 80%. The additional must be paired via private insurance that is optional or out of pocket. We have chosen a good supplemental policy that allows us to make our own referral to specialists- with a waiting period < 2 weeks. The point is that you can choose what you want. No waiting!I know that people in Canada who wait a year to see a doctor in a non emergency situation! You will say that it is expensive,but people choose not to prioritize medical care and instead purchase luxury items etc. what I like is the choice. I don’t want to not be able to see a specialist when I feel I need one!! I like \nChoice!

Not sure I agree with Quebec being no 1. Being born and raised in that province, and able to speak French fluently. I had no problem moving to Ontario. Quebec is for sure a beautiful province, but that said, has the worst health care system, the political structure is definitely anti English. Any immigrant must go to French school, unless you pay privately. Taxes are the highest in the all of Canada, and you get very little in return. Personally, I would creep over the border into Ontario, and if you are working in a Quebec, pay a hell of a lot less in taxes, have a more liberal education system, both in English or French, and healthcare is much more accesible.

As someone from Belgium that now lives in Columbus OH because of marriage, you're spot on with everything. Safety? Limited. Sprawl? Terrible. Rent? Eh it's not that bad. I make a base salary of $82.5k and my wife makes $50k. Our 2br 1ba apartment's rent is about $1000. It's a nice place, but it has some flaws. Our next place will be around $1500. I've told my wife I don't like the sprawl and lack of public transport here and I want to move to a place where that is less of an issue: Chicago, NYC or Boston. However, the latter two have crazy high rent.\n\nI must add, the terribly unsupported public education system in Columbus is by far the worst reason. My wife is a teacher at a Columbus City School that's almost 100% black. White families put their kids through private schools. The rest of the kids have terrible home lives and are therefore incredibly ill-behaved and under-educated. So much so that the teachers just CANNOT keep up with Ohio's learning standards. By the time these kids graduate (and that's a big IF), they would have learned about 20% of what a regular 18-year old would have learned in most of the world. This is in part due to:\n1. Parents that do not involve themselves in what their children do, and therefore do not discipline appropriately.\n2. Terrible school admins that force teachers to lower their standards to have a high passing rate for the school (otherwise it gets shut down). Also, due to the No Child Left Behind Act, admins also force teachers to teach how to pass state tests (repetitive bullshit) instead of important learning materials and/or critical thinking skills.\n3. A lot of these students are pushed into the gang lifestyle and see no future in their education. They don't even try.\n4. Burned out teachers that grew tired of the negative ROI and start giving out poor and inadequate work packets. However, I don't like blaming teachers, especially because my wife is the hardest working person I know.\n\nIt's hard to see my wife come back every day, exhausted. It pains me both for her and her kids. America doesn't give a fuck about education. The big theory is that they're purposely not giving public schools attention so they can be phased out and private education becomes the norm. And if you can't afford it? There are a couple of things you must consider before going to Canada it's cold as hell even the warmest winter there in cold as hell if your from the tropics, work ethic is totally diferent a couple of minutes late to work is a no no,taking it easy no no, or relaxed easy going of the tropics is a no no, etc. and the social customs vary depending on the predominant immigration in the area. Also take into consideration that some countries are implementing to deduct a percentage of your social security check if you move overseas to live as a expat. I thought Canada is a developed and first-world country like European countries, the US, Japan, South Korea, Australia, News Land, and Singapore with the western standard, and also I thought is one of the best. The first time 2018 I arrived in Vancouver, I was shocked. I saw a lot of homelessness, trash, crime, ugly urbanism, and rusty houses in downtown and east Vancouver. I saw, homeless people, pooping and peeing everywhere and it's so common. nobody cares. I was shocked again. I endured for 3 years but every day going worst. late in 2022I decided to move to the east coast because I thought that place has a stronger culture. I chose Montreal. I had heard it is the capital of art and civilization in Canada. it was absolutely wrong. Canada is Canada. I was shocked again, again, and again. the wave of homelessness, graffiti, vandalism, bad smell, terrible infrastructure especially roads in or out of the city, and above all, you can see trash everywhere. plastic bags, tissues, water bottles, and disposable cups. You cannot see any street or park or public place without these. This is impossible. surprisingly nobody cares. neither the people nor the government!!!!!!! please, don't be fooled by the advertisement about a good Canada. please, be careful. most of the things about a good Canada are deception.
