We have been asking for years. Take a good look at the city’s and the numbers of family’s kids and adults have died yearly from this.100,000s have died a year. Lives and family’s have been destroyed and the crime that has come with it. We have been asking for years now they claim they are helping. We need to depend on Americans and America more this can be good for us more Americans buying and selling to Americans. All these countries have gotten the better deal with us for years. Now we want the better deal.Our tax dollars have gone to all these other countries now we say no more and everyone is anti American.

as a Canadian, all I can say is Trump has galvanized our nation not to take up arms, but not to ever capitulate to a bully. But I especially appreciate seeing all the people from around the world are standing with us, and that also includes americans that are equally upset by their president’s behavior.

Wait a second, just a few weeks ago CNN was saying that Canada had outfoxed the US/Trump and they were not doing anything more than what they had decided to do well before Trump's election when it comes to stopping illegal immigration and the transport of fentanyl into the US? As an American, I don’t watch CNN clips and believe what politicians say on either side to get my news. However, it’s absolutely true that EU, and China places tariffs on the US. It is also true that United States provide most of the security for all the free nations. At what point do we say enough? I do not know if Mexico or Canada has tariffs on US goods before this. But if they did, they have become quite entitled, haven’t they.

This isn’t’anti-Americanism’ how about anti-Canadian? As an American I can only say this breaks my heart that Donald continues to sever relationships with our nearest neighbors and Allie’s. As an American that saw the writing on the wall 7 years ago and left, I thank you Mr. Trudeau. You, and Canada are very much respected, and the world listens. Canada already taxes US imports at an average of 25%, so these US tariffs only balance the playing field. All that said, like Zelensky, Trudeau seems to forget that Canada needs the US, but the US doesn't need Canada. He says that it is going to be tough in Canada; true. Trump signed the free trade agreement with Canada 5 years ago and he has proven the America is not to be trusted and treaties are meaningless. Trump, and by extension America, has walled itself in to keep the world out. Americans have been less than welcome in some places, now those places include their neighbours. Carrying American dollars and the American flag abroad will not be looked at the same as it was just last year.

I think it was Margaret Thatcher during the Reagan administration the one who said, Americans are notorious about choosing stupid presidents. So, what to say about that? What I've heard from some of my friends is that they don't care if democracy is gone as long as their taxes go down. They want a lower income tax bracket. They're very single minded about issues. We'll see how we fair once you have to pay more at the pump, when the price of electronics go up, when produce and beef, pork, and chicken become unaffordable. Yes, the middle and upper middle class probably don't care, but the lower classes and the already poor are not going to be happy. Once people are hungry, then you'll see people on the street. Once the farmers start losing their farms and small businesses start losing their investments, you'll see people on the streets. Americans are not hungry enough yet. Just wait.
